Dave’s Sweet Tooth Maple Bourbon Pecan Toffee

Just wondering, what do you think of when you hear the words “Maple Bourbon Pecan Toffee” – hmmm? I hope it would be something like…party in my mouth delicious festive yum yum, what do you think?

From the titans of toffee comes a collaboration of epic proportions! A match made in Michigan from an idea sparked on the other side of the world, to be exact. While on a trade mission to China, Andrew of Dave’s Sweet Tooth met Johanna of Journeyman and this sweet, boozy collaboration was born. Dave’s famous toffee made with Michigan maple sugar, decadent dark chocolate, and Journeyman Distillery Bourbon, topped with a dusting of pecans. I’m not going to lie, it is perhaps one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted.

The tale behind the toffee… Dave, as in the company’s namesake, a retired Detroit Fire Fighter had always loved to cook and bake. Feeding the firehouse perfected his skills, and when he started making his toffee, the response was unlike anything he had ever seen. Dave’s son, Andrew, recognized the perfect storm and decided to take the homemade heavenly treat out of his mother’s kitchen and share it with the world!

National Irish Coffee Day Recipes

Beat that mid-winter slump and those cold front blues by celebrating National Irish Coffee Day this Friday, January 25th!

Celebrate this special holiday with some traditional and not so traditional Irish Coffee recipes made with Jameson Irish Whiskey. There’s no better way to celebrate Irish Coffee day than with a with an expertly crafted coffee cocktail (or two).

Jameson Irish Coffee

Jameson Irish Coffee

RECIPE:
· 1/3 parts Demerara and Muscovado sugar syrup
· 1 part Jameson *rounded down 5 mls
· 1 part lightly whipped double cream
· 3 parts medium roasted espresso coffee
· 1 vanilla pod or cinnamon for garnish
· Fresh grated nutmeg

HOW TO MAKE:
· Dissolve 2 parts Demerara sugar and 1 part Muscovado sugar in 3 parts of boiling water for the syrup.
· Stir sugar syrup into Jameson in a warmed glass.
· Whip chilled double cream lightly until it starts to stiffen.
· Brew a shot of coffee into the glass from your espresso machine (check out the Breville one we found here).
· Reload and brew in a second shot.
· Pour over the whipped cream into the coffee over the back of a spoon so it floats on top.
· Garnish with a trimmed vanilla pod or a stick of cinnamon and dust with a grating of fresh nutmeg.

Jameson Iced Coffee

RECIPE:
· 1 part Jameson
· 0.5 parts Kahlúa
· 1 part chilled espresso
· 0.25 parts sugar syrup

HOW TO MAKE:
· Combine Jameson Original, Kahlua, Espresso and sugar syrup (to taste).
· Shake and serve on the rocks finished with a sprig of mint.

Irish Cold Brew Martini

RECIPE:
·        2 parts Kahlúa
·        1 part Jameson Whiskey
·        3 parts cold brew
HOW TO MAKE:
·        For this cocktail you need shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and add two parts Kahlúa,   one part Jameson whiskey and three parts cold brew coffee. Shake for at least 10 seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass to get rid of all the small ice chips.

Busch Light is Here For You Iowa

Iowa has been named the unofficial capital of Busch Light!

The state loves it so much that last year when one of their teams went on the road to Memphis for a Bowl Game, the Iowan fans drank the city COMPLETELY DRY of Busch Light.

In order to ensure this never happens again, Busch Guy has taken matters into his own hands ahead of the 2018 #ValeroAlamoBowl in San Antonio where Iowa will face-off Washington State.

Busch Guy has pulled out all of the stops to ensure the city is prepared for the onslaught of Busch Light lovers that will be in San Antonio for game day. Not only is Busch Guy making sure that more bars than ever are stocked with Iowans number one beer, but he’ll be reporting live from Texas over the next two days, monitoring beer supplies around the city and responding to fans via @Busch Twitter with the hashtag #BuschSafeHouse.

1800 Tequila created an opportunity for two artists from different disciplines, backgrounds and styles to collaborate together to transform a raw piece of clothing into a refined and one-of-a-kind streetwear piece.

Burbank Beer Festival Returns

The Burbank Beer Festival will take over five blocks of Downtown Burbank with two sessions of craft beer sampling, bringing the best of budget-friendly fun, beautiful scenery and delicious brews to the California beer scene. Session 1 will be from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM with Session 2 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. As an added incentive, attendees who book a room at a Burbank hotel will receive two free tickets to the festival.

Joining Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoer at the soiree were Visionaire cofounders Cecelia Dean and James Kaliardos, models Clara McGregor and Coco Rocha, and actor Michiel Huisman (“Game of Thrones”) who mixed, mingled and sipped on cocktails provided by Ketel One Family-Made Vodka, including the signature Masterclass (Ketel One Vodka, strawberry, cucumber and lime juice.) DJ Dese provided the evening’s beats as guests toured the exhibit at this SoHo space dedicated to innovation and inspiring creativity.
