BLACK PANTHER UNCONQUERED

AN ANCIENT WAKANDAN THREAT IS UNLEASHED IN BLACK PANTHER: UNCONQUERED!

Bryan Edward Hill and Alberto Foche team up for an epic new Black Panther one-shot this November

This fall, all eyes will be on Wakanda! In addition to John Ridley and Germán Peralta’s current run on Black Panther and the upcoming Wakanda limited series, Marvel Comics will also publish a special one-shot in November, BLACK PANTHER: UNCONQUERED #1! Written by Bryan Edward Hill and drawn by Alberto Foche (Miles Morales: Spider-Man), BLACK PANTHER: UNCONQUERED will be an ideal entry point into the world of Black Panther, perfect for longtime fans and newcomers to the Black Panther mythology.

The scribe behind 2019’s acclaimed Killmonger limited series, Hill returns to Wakanda to explore the land’s rich mythology once again with a thought-provoking story that will see the emergence of a threat deeply rooted in Wakandan history. In order to combat it, Black Panther will have to learn new secrets about Wakanda’s ancient past and unlock a new connection to the Panther god, Bast.

“Black Panther and Wakanda mean so much to people. It’s an honor to contribute my imagination to the legacy of this character,” Hill said. “I’m very grateful that I can only do comic projects that mean something to me personally, and returning to Marvel for this certainly does. Hopefully it speaks to longtime fans of the character while also onboarding new readers into his world. Shall I say it? Why not. Wakanda Forever! You’ll just have to imagine me crossing my arms, LOL!”

Witness T’Challa face a challenge unlike anything Wakanda has seen before when BLACK PANTHER: UNCONQUERED arrives on November 9! For more information, visit HERE.

ROSALÍA RELEASES “DESPECHÀ”

MOTOMAMI CONTINUES TO BE NUMBER ONE CRITICALLY REVIEWED ALBUM ON METACRITIC

Grammy and eight-time Latin Grammy-award winning recording artist ROSALÍA has released her new track “DESPECHÀ” due to popular demand. Listen to the track here. “DESPECHÀ” serves as the first new music offering since the release of her globally critically and commercially acclaimed landmark Spanish language album MOTOMAMI, which continues to be the most highly rated album of the year, according to Metacritic

Says ROSALÍA, “There are many ways to be Despechá, in this theme it is from the freeness or the craziness, moving without reservations or regrets. This is the place from where I make music, from where I did it when I first started and where I will continue to until God says so. I’m grateful for having been able to travel in recent years and have learned from music from other places including the DR, where artists like Fefita La Grande, Juan Luis Guerra and Omega have inspired me and without them this song would not exist.”

Lyrics here.

ROSALÍA first shared “DESPECHÀ” – which loosely translates to ‘heartbroken, scorned’ – from stage during her MOTOMAMI WORLD TOUR, surprising yet delighting fans. The reaction was lighting fast, with fans hyper enthusiastic response spreading like wildfire. Press response was equally effusive, with the venerable El Pais declaring “…Rosalía has achieved the song of the summer without officially releasing it yet.”

Currently, ROSALÍA is in the midst of her first ever global tour – MOTOMAMI WORLD TOUR – with sold-out shows across the globe. With fans lining up days in advance at each venue, the much buzzed about awaited tour has been delivering an unforgettable evening of innovative choreography and Rosalia’s distinctive world class vocal capability throughout a 30+ song production based on the artist’s recentmilestone MOTOMAMI album and many more of her earlier chart-topping and groundbreaking hits, including the new “DESPECHÀ.”

  • ”The new queen of pop dazzles at the first concert of her tour… this is the future… a sensory feast of [such] exact minimalism. it not just breaks the fourth wall, it shatters it.  Rosalía’s voice is precise, exciting and takes songs to another dimension – showing that she sings deeper than anyone else…  She can conquer the world singing in Spanish, [and is] going to put an end to the Anglo-Saxon hegemony of world pop.” (See more detailed review highlights below)

The massive Live Nation produced 46 show run across 15 countries will continue Saturday, July 9th in Sevilla, Spain and make additional stops in Latin American and North America before wrapping up in Europe on December 18th with a performance at Paris’ Accor Arena. Rolling Stone noted that “Rosalía delivers a wild, innovative pop spectacle on her own terms.” For more information or tickets please visit rosalia.com

Simultaneously, ROSALÍA’s MOTOMAMI album (already the #1 Album of The Year by consensus critical acclaim’ according to Metacriticcontinues to collect numerous recent “Best Albums of 2022 -So Far” picks from outlets including:TIME, ROLLING STONE, BILLBOARD, VARIETY, LOS ANGELES TIMES, THE GUARDIAN, VULTURE, HYPEBEAST, ESQUIRE, STEREOGUM, CONSEQUENCE, OF SOUND, COMPLEX, SPINand MANY more.

ROSALIA’s “MOTOMAMI TOUR”- Opening Night In Almería- Translated Review Highlights

“We were not prepared! … Rosalía’s MOTOMAMI World Tour  is Tremendous… and  absolutely overwhelming. A full-fledged trip to the future!  The concert begins with a set of blinding white lights that gives way to Rosalía and her dancers (los motopapis), and a thunderous noise of engines… the sensation is that of having entered directly into a time tunnel and jumping to some subsequent decade. The concert proceeds with  fantastic choreography and a narration that runs smoothly despite handling diverse genres, languages, and technologies… turning into a dystopian fable… there are as many Rosalías as there are songs on this tour (almost thirty of them)… she’s been rehearsing long enough for this to run like clockwork. And boy does she do it. The Motomami World Tour is a true reflection of those disruptive and strangely beautiful TikTok videos that served as a letter of introduction for the artist to present the best album of the year.  …Everything is of an overwhelmingly exact minimalism. And with so little it is not that it just breaks the fourth wall, it shatters it. … this is the future. And it’s a future where at times it seems like you’re watching a deconstructed contemporary dance show, at others a magnetic performance and at times, an aggressive parade of something darkly beautiful. But there is one thing that remains unchanged in this sensory feast and that is Rosalía’s voice. She is precise, exciting and takes songs to another dimension -showing that she sings deeper than anyone else. Today Rosalía has once again made it clear that she has the best legion of followers (they sing absolutely everything), that she does what she wants, that she does not need to fill the stage with anything or anyone so that she and her songs shine, and that she is not going to take a step back on this fascinating path that she has undertaken [toward] a Blessed and bright future!” – El Pais

“Rosalía’s MOTOMAMI TOUR begins its conquest  of the world. The Catalan artist is crowned the new queen of pop and dazzles at the first concert of the international tour… At this point we can already say that 2022 will be remembered for being the year in which Rosalíaand her Motomami’ impeccably consolidated the process of world domination. It is not a hyperbole. …Rosalía is famous for being a perfectionist and that self-demand was noted in a perfectly calibrated show in which she and her voice are the absolute center. The artist is accompanied by a group of eight dancers who, rather than performing a choreography, merge like a human mass around her, joining her gestures and the narrative of the songs…  Rosalía has achieved several things that do not always necessarily go together: the popular acclaim of a public with a lot of accumulated desire,  and the blessing of critics that have surrendered to an album that is a wet dream for her risk, her courage and her overwhelming mix of genres, Another thing that Rosalía has shown is that… she can conquer the world singing in Spanish. She has already done so, developing a new and very personal language that at times seems to come from the very future… [and is] going to put an end to the Anglo-Saxon hegemony of world pop.” – El Mundo

Along with the two recently released songs above, there will be one additional previously unreleased track on the collection, to be revealed in the coming weeks.

London-based girl group FLO releases their highly-anticipated debut EP The Lead via 360 MAGAZINE

FLO – The Lead

London-based girl group FLO releases their highly-anticipated debut EP The Lead.

Listen to The LeadHERE

“Our debut EP The Lead represents personal and professional growth because it’s taken so many twists and turns. We are young black women navigating life and musicians finding our voice and sound through R&B. Pop means popular, and R&B could be pop, but people need to give it the same love and chance.

The Lead shows us that positive things can come from tough conversations, and reminds us to take the lead and not follow anyone else when making decisions on your relationships and listening to your truth,” says FLO on the EP.

“I’ve been working with the girls for the past 3 years – one of the first songs we wrote together was ‘Cardboard Box.’ The hour in which we wrote it – we just knew it had something very special. Then and even now, they’re so young and so driven, and push me equally as much as I push them to be competent songwriters and great recording artists. Stella, Jorja and Renée make a beautiful partnership when they sing together and I’m really happy they’ve found a trust in people like myself and Kabba, Jamal Woon and Ryan Ashley to help get what they stand for across in their music as an all-black R&B/pop act in 2022 – much less a girl group with all the ‘00s references included. I also just love working on projects that if I wasn’t working on it, I’d be stanning. And this is absolutely one of those projects,” says producer MNEK on working with FLO and the EP.

The future of R&B, FLO, represented by three young women: Jorja, Renée and Stella, show their personal and professional growth in the creation of a remarkable sound that hasn’t been heard in the music scene for decades. Tipped as Britain’s next big girl group, FLO’s new track “Immature” has already received instant praise from Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Ella Mai. Working closely with their “extended family,” executive producer MNEKJamal Woon, KABBA and Aston RudiFLO hustled every day in the studio to create The Lead arranging their intricate three-part harmonies, which have been compared to Destiny’s Child and recalling peak-era Timbaland, Aaliyah and TLC. Capturing the essence of an act at the helm of their musical and visual identity, the 5-track EP features the first song they ever wrote together, the 10 million streaming viral sensation “Cardboard Box,” the sublime “Immature,” the pitch perfect neo soul hit “Another Guy,” R&B slow jam “Feature Me” and the slick, sensational summer anthem “Summertime.”

To coincide with the release, FLO drops the new video for their buzzworthy track “Immature” today.

Watch “Immature”: HERE

Working closely with female director Avesta Keshtmand and movement director Kash Powell (Missy Elliot, FKA Twigs) on the video, StellaRenée and Jorja become heroines in a defiant, confident and groundbreaking visual.

Receiving love from global superstars including Missy Elliot, SZA, Victoria Monet and JoJo with one tweet stating “the uk girl groups are coming hard,” featuring a clip of debut video “Cardboard Box,” has led to over 3M views. FLO’s opening statement catapulted the group to the center of the cultural conversation about the important role girl groups play in our society. Peaking at #2 on the Viral Spotify UK Chart, “Cardboard Box” was an introduction to the girls’ love for honeyed harmonies and rich emotion, fusing the classic old school R&B they still obsess over.

Already receiving critical praise from i-D, NME, Complex and more, FLO’s immaculate harmonizing over MNEK productions that fuse early 00s R&B, complete with Irreplaceable-esque guitar figures and dancehall flavors, have captured the hearts of the nation. FLO has already built a loyal fanbase on TikTok (over 170k followers and 4.1m likes) having been named “the future of R&B” (Complex) for their stripped back a capella sessions, giving new life to their favorite tunes with unbreakable chemistry.

It is FLO’s origin story that speaks to their name – it flowed. Stella spent the first few years of her life in Mozambique before moving to the UK aged five, and met Renée at school in London, where they bonded over their joint love of singing and were familiar with Jorja via social media. Jorja was born in Germany and grew up in Hertfordshire and was on her own musical journey, but it was a chance meeting at an audition where they all locked eyes: “I saw the girls and we screamed across the room. I knew from that moment we were about to start something big,” says Jorja.

The Lead EP Tracklist

  1. Cardboard Box
  2. Immature
  3. Summertime
  4. Feature Me
  5. Another Guy (Acoustic)

Williams Advanced Engineering

Williams Advanced Engineering (WAE) will showcase its industry-leading high performance battery technology at The Battery Show Europe from 28-30 June, in Stuttgart.

Visitors to the WAE stand in Hall 8, stand F50, will have the opportunity to examine an example of the company’s innovative Adaptive Multi-Chem advanced battery pack, together with the Triumph Motorcycles TE-1 prototype demonstrator.

Combining power and energy in one advanced battery system, Adaptive Multi-Chem sets new standards for performance and efficiency, with the advantage of being totally customisable for individual customer requirements.

Triumph’s first zero emission prototype demonstrator motorcycle – the battery pack for which delivers a peak power of 130kW and continuous power of 90kW, with a capacity of 15kWh – will also be on display. With the optimum balance of power and energy, TE-1’s battery gives the rider access to greater electric power for longer, regardless of battery charge, and matches exhilarating acceleration with exceptional range. The 360-volt system also enables a fast-charging time of under 20mins (0-80%).

WAE developed the technology to support the TE-1 prototype demonstrator, a unique collaboration between Triumph Motorcycles, Integral Powertrain Ltd, and WMG at the University of Warwick funded by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles through Innovate UK.

In addition, the stunning 2200 horsepower Deus Vayanne electric hypercar, brought to life by WAE’s collaboration with Deus Automobiles and Italdesign, is on display on the Deus Automobiles stand Hall 8, Stand D-30.

This customer project demonstrates WAE’s sector-leading partnership with ItalDesign, which sees WAE provide a highly sophisticated composite EV platform and powertrain, with ItalDesign contributing the body design, safety systems and electric architecture.

The partnership provides a unique offering for established car companies and start-ups who want a luxury, high-performance EV, without having to spend many years – and billions of dollars – developing a proprietary EV skateboard and associated technology.

Taking place from 28 – 30 June 2022 in Stuttgart, Germany, The Battery Show Europe is Europe’s largest battery technology showcase and conference. With more than 480 suppliers in attendance, The Battery Show Europe provides an ideal opportunity for WAE to showcase its motorsport-derived, zero-emission mobility solutions.

On day one of the conference, Tim Engstrom, WAE Manager – Advanced Battery Technologies, will also deliver the keynote presentation, ‘Examining the Role of Motorsport as a Platform to Accelerate Battery Technology, And Why It Matters’.

Dyrr Ardash, Head of Strategic Partnerships, WAE said: “The Battery Show Europe is an ideal event for WAE to showcase its high-performance battery and EV platform technology. As the world electrifies, motorsport developments act as a springboard to bring world-class technical innovation for a decarbonised and sustainable future. WAE’s role in electric motorsport has significantly accelerated the development of the lightweight battery and e-powertrain technology we can offer our customers today. We continue to learn valuable lessons from our motorsport involvement that will deliver further transformative benefits to the users of EVs in terms of power, performance, efficiency, and sustainability.”

Following the acquisition by Fortescue Metals Group, which completed in March 2022, WAE will continue to service its existing customers and commercialise new technology opportunities, in addition to playing a key role in supporting Fortescue’s decarbonisation strategy.

The Company was honoured with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation 2018.

This time around, she made a conscious decision to hark back to the signature sound she introduced on her 2015 full-length debut, TITLE, and bring it forward to today.

About the album, Meghan said, “I tried to do the doo-wop feel I had at the beginning of my career, but the 2022 version of it. This is from the new Meghan who is a wife and mom with a baby. This is from me right now. I decided to give the people what they want, but with my spices added to it. I wanted to make my Title 2.0.

To bring the record to life, she worked closely alongside a “core squad” of Gian StoneFederico VindverSean Douglas, and little brother Justin Trainor out of her own home studio. Musically, she integrates doo-wop and classic harmonies into one anthem after another taking you through her journey into marriage, motherhood, and achieving a new level of confidence.

It’s embodied on the bold and bright new single  “Bad For Me,” featuring Teddy Swims, out today. The track finds the powerhouse tapping into her doo-wop roots once more with a whole lot of fresh fire. Throwback harmonies underline a simmering groove as she opens up lyrically. On the chorus, she urges, “Please don’t make promises that you can’t keep. Your best intentions end up hurting me.” Meanwhile, Teddy appears with a seismic and show-stopping vocal turn of his own. Together, they uplift the lyrics with undeniable energy. Listen HERE.

Directed by Thom Kerr (Iggy Azalea, Kim Petras), the accompanying video finds Meghan and Teddy in a symbolic and surreal world full of flowers. As the video fluctuates between different landscapes, it showcases the journey that writing and recording this song has taken Meghan on. It’s one in which she has found light and new beginnings in distancing herself from toxic relationships. Watch HERE.

Regarding “Bad For Me, Meghan commented, “My dad actually sent me Teddy’s video for ‘Broke’, and I’ve been so obsessed with him ever since. It’s a dream to record with someone who has that good of a voice, and he’s the sweetest guy ever. The song is a true story for me. It’s about how I stood up for myself and took a step back from a relationship that was hurting me more than anything. It’s hard to do, but I needed to in order to feel better.

Meghan and Teddy will be performing “Bad For Me,” for the first time, on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Friday, June 24th. Get ready for more very soon as Meghan takes it back in 2022.

Lil Baby releases new song U-Digg via 360 Magazine

Lil Baby – U-Digg

GRAMMY Award-winning rapper Lil Baby has unleashed a new track and video “U-Digg.” The Atlanta native has teamed up with two of Detroit’s pacesetters, 42 Dugg & Veeze, to release an undeniable summer banger. Lil Baby and 42 Dugg delivered the smash hits “We Paid” and “Grace” from My Turn when they last joined forces. With the welcome addition of Veeze, “U-Digg” is sure to follow the trend as they trade ferocious verses over menacing production work. The new release denotes that Baby has no intentions of slowing his hustle and continues to mark himself as the reigning champ of his era.

Alongside the new release, Lil Baby got behind the camera himself to direct the track’s music video. The handheld-style camera-work feels authentic and raw, following Baby, Veeze and 42 Dugg from an impressive garage full of Maybach’s and T-Rex’s to the streets where they trade drifts and showcase their riches.

Alongside a standout performance at Hot 97’s Summer Jam this past weekend, Lil Baby’s new documentary Untrapped: The Story of Lil Baby, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, followed by a performance of fan favorite tracks from throughout his career Directed by Karam Gill, the film is raw, intimate, and chronicles the astonishing rise of a singular artist and activist, exploring the systemic oppression that keeps far too many people of color from participating in the American Dream. Produced by Quality Films, MGX Creative, and 4PF, the film will be available for Prime subscribers on August 26th.
