LECRAE – “FEAR NOT”

LECRAE, RELEASES “FEAR NOT” SECOND SINGLE FROM CHURCH CLOTHES 4 MIXTAPE SERIES

Click here to stream “Fear Not,” and Pre-Order Church Clothes 4

As Lecrae releases, Church Clothes 4, he boldly stands at the crossroads of sacred and secular, a lane he unashamedly accepts. In the ten years since the first Church Clothes mixtape (hosted by DJ Don Cannon) released in 2012, no one has been able to surpass the heights that Lecrae has reached crossing CHH over to the mainstream, planting his feet simultaneously in the street and the Church without compromising. While the critics blasted him for not picking a side, the people spoke even louder, downloading the music for the original Church Clothes over 100,000 times within 48 hours.

On November 4th, he brings the righteous and ratchet together yet again and this time for Church Clothes 4, the last of the mixtape series! He maintains the unashamed posture reflecting on Romans 116, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to EVERYONE who believes first to the Jew, then to the Gentile!’ emphasizing that his music also is not just for believers, but for everyone! In Episode 2 of his Church Clothes TV short airing on YouTube, Lecrae explains, “I’ve always been a combination of my roots and my faith. I love God but I grew up in hip-hop and the hood. People always want to put me in one camp or the other. Truth is you (with me), you can’t have the righteous without the ratchet. They’re two sides of the same coin.”

While Church Clothes 4‘s first single “Spread The Opps,” recognized the opposition, his second single “Fear Not” acknowledges that our faith in God is bigger than our deepest fears! On “Spread The Opps,” Lecrae stated “I’ve been running for so long from the opposition. Since I was a kid, there were enemies, both physical and spiritual, that were trying to destroy me. I decided to stop running. This song, “Spread The Opps,” is me knowing that even in the valley of death, God is with me. He’s scattering the opposition.”

On the second single, “Fear Not,” he shares, “Everyone deals with fear. I’ve met some of the most hardened criminals sitting behind prison walls confess their fears. Fear makes us run, or fight, or do nothing. I believe the cure is fear is faith. Faith in a God who is bigger than our biggest fears. We don’t have to be afraid of the dark. The dark is afraid of the light within us. Fear Not is the articulation of that.”

A verse in “Fear Not,” speaks to the illusion of fame! “They don’t even recognize me when they see me coming all they see is fame. They don’t know behind these Cartier’s, just a little boy full of pain.”

Church Clothes 4 is coming November 4th! Check out the “Fear Not” lyrics and put yours to rest!

Lecrae  “Fear Not” lyrics

Intro

Candlelight shines inside this pumpkinhead

Waiting on the borderline

Please don’t be afraid, or it’s gonna end

Verse 1

I lied, I panic

My mind wreaks havoc

I cried, can’t manage

I did my damage

I came, I saw, I killed, I’m savage

My crime so heavy, my sin left baggage

Can’t stand it, a liar, cheater, and a killer

Never meant to cause them damage

Looking at me in a mirror

I see myself and start to panic

They don’t even recognize me when they see me coming all they see is fame

They don’t know behind these Cartier’s, just a little boy full of pain

Push me round, put me down

Touched the crown, took me out, yeah

Vegas nights I gave the dice to Satan twice

It’s crazy I ain’t dead

And I should’ve called James White

Flew into Memphis to hang out with soup and tell him that all ain’t right

But I was afraid

Confession bring you peace, secrets make you weep

The devil like to feast on all your sinful feats

One too many drinks, tell my mama peace

Death is on my feet, let me rest in peace

Interlude 1

[Speaker #1]

Candlelight shines inside this pumpkinhead

Waiting on the borderline

Candlelight shines inside this pumpkinhead

Waiting on the borderline

Don’t be scared, don’t be afraid

Don’t be scared, don’t be afraid

Don’t be scared, don’t be afraid

Don’t be scared, don’t be afraid

Verse 2

Don’t be afraid of them people

Don’t be afraid of the evil

They can mistreat us, but they’ll never take us from Jesus

He’ll never let them defeat us

They know that they’ll never beat us

God, washed away all my evil, turned me into a believer

You better believe it

Put some more time on my meter

I can not wait till we meet Him

They can not kill us, stop us, or condemn us

They want us living like we ain’t the winners

They keep on tryna tell us that they’ll never help us cause we all a bunch of dirty sinners

It go up, on my side

All this weight on my mind

Don’t you try, bring up my past cause God erased my timeline (I’ll be fine)

Ready for war, I put it all up on the line

Too scared to fight then go let David and kill Goliath

Walk through the valley, but the Lord is by my side

He heard my cry

Hold me down, hold me down, hold me down, hold me down

Hold me down, hold me down, hold me down, hold me down

Hold me down, hold me down, hold me down, hold me down

Hold me down, hold me down, hold me down, hold me down

Hold me down, hold me down, hold me down

[Speaker #2]

Please don’t be afraid, please don’t be afraid, be afraid

Please don’t be afraid

Don’t be scared, don’t be afraid

Please don’t be afraid, please don’t be afraid, be afraid

Please don’t be afraid, please don’t be afraid, be afraid

Please don’t be afraid, please don’t be afraid, be afraid

Please don’t be afraid, please don’t be afraid, be afraid

Martin Garrix voted World’s No.1 DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJS 2022

Martin Garrix has been voted The World’s No.1 DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll 2022. The Dutch DJ and producer marked the occasion in historic fashion as he became the first artist to DJ from the top of the iconic Empire State Building, as the centerpiece of a reimagined Top 100 DJs Awards Show broadcast. It’s the fourth time Garrix has claimed the No.1 DJ title.

Speaking of the win, Martin Garrix said:

“I’m very grateful for everyone taking the time to vote. Being back at number 1 again feels very surreal, and I’ll never ever take your support for granted. Thank you.

I hope you all enjoy the stream we recorded. Playing my music on top of one of the most iconic buildings in the world was very special. Music has brought me to many crazy places, but this is definitely high up there.”

An artist who transcends dance music, Garrix has collaborated with Dua Lipa, Usher, and Bono and The Edge from U2 in addition to showcasing his own productions and those from his label STMPD RCRDS at festivals and clubs across the planet. More than 1.3 million people, from 234 different countries, voted in this year’s poll, cementing its place as the largest publicly voted music poll in the world.

The Top 100 DJs awards were presented during a broadcast show, hosted by BBC Radio One DJ Arielle Free and anchored from The World’s No.1, Club Hï Ibiza. The global show featured performances from six award-winning DJs shot across four different continents. The three-hour event climaxed with Martin Garrix’s historic performance from the outdoor observatory at the top of the Empire State Building.

ELTON JOHN × BRITNEY SPEARS

Elton John and Britney Spears drop the second official remix of their chart-topping hit “Hold Me Closer” with world-renowned German producer and DJ Purple Disco Machine. The latest rendition of the global smash hit brings the DJ’s namesake nu-disco and upbeat signature sound to the fan-favorite track. Surprising festivalgoers with the remix during his set at Austin City Limits last week, Purple Disco Machine catapults “Hold Me Closer” to futuristic heights with pulse waves of new-age dancefloor beats mixed with deep funk disco infusions. Accompanying the song, the dancefloor bangers visualizer is an artistic remix of the original “Hold Me Closer” music video.

Watch the official visualizer HERE

As previously announced, three collectible, limited-edition CD single formats of “Hold Me Closer” are available for pre-order and set for release in November. Each of the three unique discs will feature different artwork; one with the original single sleeve and the remaining two with fan-voted art as the cover. Additionally, each CD will carry a different track list, all with the original “Hold Me Closer” song, with the second track varying between an extended version, the Joel Corry Remix, or the Purple Disco Machine Remix on the remaining two. Pre-order HERE.

Debuting at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, “Hold Me Closer” finds two of the most iconic artists of all time come together for the first time ever on record. As predicted, the song topped the charts providing Elton with his tenth Top 10 hit and Britney’s first in almost ten years. The song has also climbed to #1 in Australia and Canada, #3 in the UK, and most notably, #1 on iTunes in over 40 countries upon release, with over 88 million global streams. Produced by Andrew Watt, “Hold Me Closer” is a refreshingly contemporary twist on one of Elton John’s most iconic hits, “Tiny Dancer,” that also features elements of other classic songs from his legendary catalog, including “The One” and “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.” Watch the official “Hold Me Closer” music video, directed by Tanu Muino, HERE.

The New York Times spotlighted the album in its Fall Music Preview, noting, “‘Girls Night Out’ harks back to the ‘Waiting to Exhale’ soundtrack from 1995, where he assembled an all-star cast…This time around, he shows how sharp he still is as a producer, talent spotter and sometime vocalist…” Rolling Stone observed, “Babyface defined a new kind of paradigm for the male artist in a woman’s world – his mission is to serve as an enabler to loud, powerful, complicated women….Girls Night Out is Babyface doing what he does best, which is shining some light on female stars. It’s a very 2022 record, but in the sense that Babyface has seen our current moment coming a long way off. So the time is right for him to triumphantly return to the pop world he helped created.”

Babyface shared the stories behind some of his favorite collaborations with women in this Entertainment Weekly feature. Hailing him as “incomparable,” Pitchfork spoke with Babyface about the songs that have soundtracked his life through the decades. Read the feature HERE.

Nicky Champa and Pierre Boo at Milan Fashion Week via 360 MAGAZINE

Nicky × Pierre

Listen to Nicky Champa × Pierre Boo discuss a hodgepodge of topics w/ Vaughn Lowery via 360 MAG Apple/Spotify podcast HERE.

Watch their complete interview on YT HERE.

Boo and Champa better known as Pierre Boo and Nicky Champa on TikTok, who have more than 10 million followers, many of them LGBTQ+ youth, tween girls, and aging moms, who love their 10-30 second videos of silly jokes, challenges, and viral dances.

They met on March 3, 2017. Each of them was looking for a role in Hollywood and Pierre was going through the process of getting over a breakup at the time. From the first moment, there was a crush. As much as Pierre wanted to take it easy with Nicky, there was no denying the connection. ”He is a very beautiful guy” adds Pierre. In fact, they are very committed to each other. And part of that commitment is sexual exclusivity.

Nicky Champa and Pierre Boo started their social media presence one year after their encounter by posting their relationship on Instagram. The reaction of the fans was immediate and stronger than expected. Soon after, the creators tapped into the potential of TikTok and created even more forms of content. They are audience skyrocketed. ‘’I think our closest supporters, our fans, they just love seeing us doing these things together. I think for many of them, we are an example of what they could have, maybe now in this moment of their lives or maybe not depending on their circumstances too which keep us going,’’ say Champa and Boo

Although they each have their own identifiers and tags, their videos are almost always the two together. According to the couple, ‘’We saw the spark when we started to post our relationship, just during covid-19, we could only post us. We are both actors in Horror Story, so we had the opportunity to be funny, to make skids.” Nicky states, ”I am American and Pierre is French so there was a dynamic between that. ” Additionally, their families participated in some of their TikTok posts. Every move they make as a couple is now watched and analyzed.

Both Boo and Champa proved that sometimes it’s hard to stay apart. What will they keep private and what will they share? We know that it is a lot of work and difficult to keep fans satisfied, especially on social platforms like TikTok as they must create new and interesting content. The couple assures that what hooks their fans about the work they do on social networks is how they show their relationship both professionally and personally. “We think our closest supporters, our fans, they just love seeing us doing these things together.
