The Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise (WTJRC) wrapped up its 9th annual voyage on Saturday, December 14, 2024, leaving an unforgettable mark on all who attended. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Caribbean’s crystal-clear waters, this year’s cruise exceeded expectations, rocking the high-seas, with nonstop reggae and dancehall performances. It was a vibrant celebration of Jamaican culture with a world-class lineup of artists, sound systems, soundclash, and DJs. By the time the ship returned to Miami, the 2025 cruise had already sold out – a true testament to WTJRC’s unrivaled reputation and universal love for reggae music.

Founded in 2014 by four-time GRAMMY-winning artist Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and long-time his manager Dan Dalton, WTJRC has become the premier destination for reggae enthusiasts and Jamaican culture lovers from around the world. Representing over 50 countries, passengers experienced five days of incredible music, food, wellness activities, and cultural immersion that only the Jamrock experience can offer.

The 2025 Welcome To Jamrock Reggae Cruise is set to celebrate its 10th Anniversary Edition in grand style aboard the luxurious Norwegian Joy, sailing from October 27 to November 1, 2025. GLASS ANIMALS – TOUR OF EARTH

On their colossal “Tour Of Earth,” record-breaking British band Glass Animals performed at arenas and amphitheatres across North America, but none was more breathtaking than Washington’s The Gorge, where the band played to 30,000 fans. Known as one of the best outdoor venues in the world and described by songwriter, producer, and lead singer Dave Bayley as “a remote, alien landscape,” it was the perfect real-life-movie-set to record “A Tear in Space (Airlock)” live, taken from Glass Animals’ critically acclaimed, UK Top 5, fourth studio album, I Love You So F***ing Much.

Bayley shares, “The live show is an unpredictable beast. We don’t use backing tracks. Or click tracks. Every sound you hear is made by us with our fingers and breath, then and there in that moment in a unique way. Sometimes, it ends up faster, sometimes slower, sometimes bigger, sometimes more intimate. Sometimes, the melodies and chords change. Sometimes it’s just chaos, and we have to start over. But we thought it would be cool to put out some of these slightly different live versions. And we’ll start here, with A Tear in Space, live from The Gorge. A 30,000 capacity natural amphitheater on the edge of a ginormous canyon in rural Washington. It looks like a barren alien landscape and building our live set (a spaceship called the international shame station) on that cliff edge…well it just felt like a magic place to play the new album. It just fits. And…the crowd was incredible. And…we didn’t mess up too much.”

Glass Animals is one of the UK’s biggest touring bands. Having just rounded off their “Tour Of Earth,” taking their alien spaceship to North America, Europe, the UK, and Australia to hundreds of thousands of fans over the past year—coming home to headline a sold-out O2 Arena in London—Glass Animals has given the world a love story during hard times. From a sold-out Madison Square Garden, Kia Forum, and two sold-out Red Rocks (watch a show recap HERE), Glass Animals ended their global tour with two sold-out Sydney Opera House shows. Each mammoth performance has reminded fans of our shared humanity, set to the backdrop of space.

It was during the first writing stages of I Love You So F***ing Much that Dave intended to make a space album, but what happened was a remarkable zooming out of the human experience, and zooming back into the thing that binds us all: love. Painting 10 portraits of love in all its messy forms, I Love You So F***ing Much is the most personal record that Bayley has ever written. From the existential to the intimate, from the first love we witness around us as children, to romance, hate, and heartbreak—each song is dedicated to a different side of love. The record has already reached a quarter of a billion streams since its release in July, with 150 million Spotify streams, 90 million YouTube views, and 135 million TikTok views to date. It is the long-awaited follow-up to 2020’s critically revered Dreamland, which sold over 12 million copies globally and gave life to the Diamond Certified hit “Heat Waves,” the record-breaking song that became the biggest international hit from a British band in almost 30 years. Motown/UMe releases the first-ever vinyl version of Stevie Wonder’s all-time best-selling hits set, The Definitive Collection. The mini-album’s electrifying title track, “Strategy (feat. Megan Thee Stallion),” marks TWICE’s second collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, following last October’s “Mamushi (Remix) (feat. TWICE),” which also appeared on MEGAN ACT II. Produced and co-written by earattack, who worked on TWICE’s “MOONLIGHT SUNRISE” and “ONE SPARK,” the track is a high-energy powerhouse. It was also written by singer-songwriter Boy Matthews, known for his work on TWICE’s first English-language hit, “The Feels,” as well as collaborations with Dua Lipa and Duke Dumont. Cleo Tighe, whose extensive catalog includes collaborations with Zedd, Kehlani, Ava Max, and David Guetta, also contributed to the writing. Accompanied by a visually captivating music video, “Strategy” captures the exhilarating feeling of falling in love, enhanced by a lo-fi aesthetic that evokes the nostalgic charm of early 2000s camcorder footage.

STRATEGY also features “Kiss My Troubles Away,” a charming English-language track, alongside the vibrant “Keeper,” with lyrics solely written by TWICE member DAHYUN. In a historic moment at Laguna Seca during the illustrious Monterey Car Week, Italian luxury performance brand Maserati delivered the first customer MCXtrema, its most powerful track-only super sports car, as part of a curated experience during the brand’s Car Week activities. This milestone moment marked the first time MCXtrema has graced North American soil.

Maserati MCXtrema: A New Chapter in Performance Excellence
The Maserati MCXtrema, the Trident’s 730-horsepower ‘beast,’ has returned to Monterey, this time on track for its final stop during the Monterey Car Week tour. Intended to break the mold, the MCXtrema embodies Maserati DNA and the performance that defines every creation from the iconic Italian brand. With only 62 units produced globally, this limited-edition spectacle blends exquisite design with unparalleled racing dynamics.

This special occasion at Laguna Seca served as the V6 3.0L twin-turbo Nettuno race engine’s debut in North America, where it was heard roaring to life and racing around the track for the first time. The MCXtrema underwent a series of rigorous tests, culminating with this delivery of the premier example in late summer 2024. Given its track-only nature, it was fitting that the first customer delivery occurred at one of the most famous circuits in the world during Monterey Car Week.

A Grand Debut During Monterey Car Week
Following its presence on the Maserati stand at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, this delivery moment was highlighted by the presence of Maserati Chief test driver Andrea Bertolini, renowned for his success in the GT class with four world titles aboard the legendary Maserati MC12. Bertolini took the MCXtrema on its inaugural laps on the iconic Laguna Seca track, displaying the car’s capabilities with its new owner beside him before handing over the keys for the first time. This ceremonial handover celebrated the car’s remarkable journey from concept to reality, with Bertolini’s pivotal role in its development through rigorous simulation testing.
