ZEITZ MOCAA’S NEW SCULPTURE

Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) announces a riveting site-specific commission of monumental scale by Malagasy artist Joël Andrianomearisoa titled The Five Continents of All Our Desires. The installation is supported by Fonds Yavarhoussen, Madagascar, and will be on view from 2 August 2022 to 25 June 2023 in the museum’s atrium.

Andrianomearisoa’s practice encompasses working in multidisciplinary ways — with materiality and scale as important considerations. Imbued with complex emotional experiences, his delicate, often ambiguous works are an ongoing series of ever-evolving exercises that consider the aesthetic and architecture of feelings that all perceive yet cannot put a name to.

Zeitz MOCAA Executive Director and Chief Curator Koyo Kouoh says: “It is a revelation and honour to host an artwork of this scale and ambition in our museum. The generosity and intentionality with which Joël approached this commission is a testament to the extraordinary, multiplistic views of our world for which this institution is intended. To hold, to speak, to listen and to love — sentiments and values that echo our mission are brought centre stage with this incredible work.”

The Five Continents of All Our Desires is a celebration of relations and connections. For Andrianomearisoa, the work speaks to both migration and language — and the ongoing search for zones of engagement and desire. He constructs a view of the world that is fragile, ambiguous, open-ended and about new possibilities for human contact.

The awe-inspiring work consists of six large-scale sculptures that form a suspended archipelago in a poetic reference to land masses and geographies of the imagination, and are constructed from Andrianomearisoa’s signature material, black silk paper. Installed in the figurative and literal ‘heart’ of the museum building, the work is the first site-specific commission to grace Zeitz MOCAA’s atrium in two years.

The Five Continents of All Our Desires is conceived in dialogue with the concrete interior of the museum, and what remains of the original silos of the building,” adds Storm Janse van Rensburg, Zeitz MOCAA Senior Curator and Head of Curatorial Affairs. “It is both in play and in visual tension with its surroundings. Whilst appearing as large black masses, the thin and soft materiality of the work allows for subtle atmospheric responses to become visible —such as paper rustling due to airflows caused by human movement.”

The Five Continents of All Our Desires is accompanied by a sound installation, and a display of 40 drawings — a first, significant showing of the artist’s graphic works in an exhibition. Visitors can also experience a set of specially designed furniture by the artist. Andrianomearisoa has further collaborated with the Zeitz MOCAA curatorial team and retail partners of the museum to develop an exclusive range of objects that will be on sale. All proceeds from sales will support the museum’s work.

The Five Continents of All Our Desires is on view in the Zeitz MOCAA atrium from Thursday, 2 August 2022. Zeitz MOCAA’s curatorial and exhibition programming is proudly supported by GUCCI.

KANSAS CITY MISSOURI

Looking for a comfortable getaway that invites you to a new world of exploration and hospitality? Try a Midwestern vacation that offers finger-licking, and lip-smacking barbecue, all while listening to authentic jazz next to an expansive river. Barbecue and jazz are just a couple of the amenities Kansas City, Missouri (population: 475,000) has to offer. Join the 360 Magazine Team as they learn the history of this metro city and visit the top picks for lodging, exploration and most certainly, indulging.

Whether you are ready to take a risk or simply relax, the Ameristar Casino Hotel, housing 184 rooms, is an excellent choice. On the first day in Kansas City, 360 stayed at the hotel, which overlooks the mighty Missouri River, tying together an elegant vibe with a western saloon twist.

Built in 1997 and only ten miles away from downtown Kansas City and Arrowhead Stadium, the 183-acre Ameristar includes complimentary valet parking, as well as an on-site brewery, amazing eateries with the finest chefs, and a spectacular casino floor. Got that gambling itch? Be a winner at one of the largest casinos in the nation, as the 3-diamond Casino has over 2,200 slot and video poker machines, 66 table games, and 15 poker tables operating 24 hours a day.

That evening, the team got a taste of Kansas City at Rosso, an upscale restaurant inside the Hotel Sorella Country Club Plaza 。 The hotel gives a modern feel fixed with Mediterranean accents and unique accommodations. If you’re appreciative of fine art, look no further than Sorella, which incorporates timeless pieces of Renaissance-inspired art that will leave you speechless.

Hotel Sorella has 132 guest rooms. Visitors benefit from a complementary European breakfast at Francesca’s Greenhouse lounge, with access to Mediterranean dining on the rooftop, a rooftop swimming pool, fitness center and more.

The hotel has phenomenal reviews, and previously received the Trip Advisor certificate of excellence, the 2016 Diner’s Choice Award from Opentable.com, the 10 Best Hotels in Kansas City by USA Today, and multiple celebrity guest stays. Along with fine dining choices, Kansas City has a near-limitless variety of barbecue joints, offering platter upon platter of savory smoked meat to satisfy your taste buds. Arthur Bryant’s dates back to the early 1900s and is said to be some of the best barbecue ones could eat. The restaurant takes you back to the father of Kansas City barbecue, Henry Patrick. He shared his love of meats with the Garment District in downtown Kansas City at an alley stand. Arthur Bryant would eventually take over the business. With celebrities such as Steven Spielberg, Jimmy Carter and President Barack Obama dining at Arthur Bryant’s, the joint has received sensational reviews and built a solid rapport with loyal customers.

For the ultimate foodie/barbecue lover, try a Kansas City Barbecue Bus Tour, where you can stop at Arthur Bryant’s and other local restaurants like LC’s Barbeque, Gates Barbeque, and Jack Stack Barbecue. On the second day, we spent the afternoon riding from restaurant to restaurant, by bus, to enjoy some of the finest “Q” in Kansas City.

President of 360 Magazine, Vaughn Lowery, has traveled around the world trying the most scrumptious foods and had a few words to share in-between bites. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and knowing a thing or two about barbecue, the fellow Midwesterner offers high praise.

“Kansas City is a meat lover’s paradise,” Lowery said, “and the burnt ends at LC’S BBQ are to die for!” The crisp, charred brisket is slowly cooked and re-seasoned multiple times, giving it that perfect coating of bark before hitting the tender meat. This Kansas City delicacy is a must-try. Your taste buds better hold on tight for the flavorsome twists and turns of the best meats and sides from just any one of the hundred barbecue spots in Kansas City. Aside from barbecue, additional gourmet dining options are found in downtown and smaller suburbs. In Independence, for example, Ophelia’s Restaurant and Inn serves a delectable Greek Orzo and Lemon Shrimp Salad. Now that’s healthy, done right.

Union Station is Kansas City’s own Grand Central Station, perhaps best known for the iconic Pierpont Restaurant. The restaurant was named for railroad baron J.P. (Pierpont) Morgan. Its menu features fine steaks and seafood.

Hallmark Cards headquarters is located in downtown Kansas City, in the Crown Center area. Surrounded by Hallmark is The Lego Discovery Center, which the 360 Team, of course, stumbled upon. Every structure at this grand facility is creatively crafted using Legos. It made total sense once we realized that classes are taught by modern builders. Discover the engineer in you. It’s all fun and games until you come across children who build better automobiles than you. Speaking of the kids, if they’re traveling with you, don’t miss the Sea Life Kansas City Aquarium which is located next to Union Station.

Fan of America’s favorite pastime? Kansas City has a rich baseball history. Fans can catch the 2015 World Series Champion Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium. Those who enjoy baseball history won’t want to miss the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, where the stories of great players and entrepreneurs, such as Chicago American Giants owner and Negro National League co-founder Andrew “Rube” Foster unfold.

Seeing the city while enjoying a carriage ride provides relaxation and exploration.

Work your way around town as you come across the Nelson-Atkins Museum, the National World War I Museum and Memorial, and Weston Brewing Company. Grab the flagship beer, O’Malley’s Irish Cream Ale, as a refreshing treat after your day of exploration, chowing down exquisite cuisine and witnessing decades of art-infused culture as you travel through time.

You’ll leave Kansas City rejuvenated by its incredible residents and historic charm. Refresh yourself when you #VisitMO.

ANN ARBOR MICHIGAN

If you are looking for an innovative, clean and relaxing place to enjoy a vacation or just a new place to explore, Michigan is it! To be specific, Ann Arbor is just a few hours away (by automobile) from Chicago, right outside of Detroit and below Windsor (the city in Ontario, Canada). Its endroit parfait induces an avant-garde, invigorating city and nature vibe. We wanted to spice up this press trip, so we tuned select events into a full-on fashion and lifestyle shoot. Upon arrival, we had breakfast at the Holiday Inn Ann Arbor near the University of Michigan. Straightaway we took part in exciting activities in Ypsilanti. We visited Puffer Reds since we are obsessed with cutting-edge fashion, which is a boutique that houses clothing, shoes and accessories. It has been in existence since 1979. Puffer Reds has two locations, one in Ypsilanti city and the other in Wayne county. You can shop online if you don’t live close to those areas. Ypsi Alehouse and Mishigama Craft Brewery serves many appealing beers, but, our favorite is Jimmy Jack’s Normal Beer. If you are into spicy food, you should try their Cherry Peppers and Smoked Wings.

Unity Vibration focuses on a variety of Kombucha beers and teas. The Triple Goddess Bourbon Peach Beer and Pineapple Ginger Tea are simply a delight to your buds. The Chelsea Alehouse Brewery specializes in English and American ales with many different kinds of palates including scotch, sour, cream ales and cream stout with several other varieties. Definitely try Firefly Wheat, from the selection of brews, paired nicely with their Smoked Trout Spread; the restaurant is dipped in elegance and serenity, and their food is to die for.

Eve Aronoff, French-trained chef and owner, greeted us at her restaurant, Eve Restaurant, which is located inside the Bel Tower Hotel in downtown Ann Arbor. TeaHaus is a wonderful and comfortable establishment to sip tea. They have more than 180 different teas to choose from, including classic black teas, Oolong green, white, herbal, Ayurvedic, fruit, aromatic and seasonal teas. Zingerman’s Delicatessen serves sandwiches to pair with every type of personality imaginable. It also doubles as a specialty food store, selling an array of cheeses, meats, olive oils, vinegar, coffees, teas and much more – all of these items are available via mail except the sandwiches, of course. Once you make it to Zingerman’s Deli, walk upstairs and take a look at the quilt artwork, adorable.

Ashley’s is an Irish pub that sits right across from the University of Michigan. It became an instant favorite from the first sip of their Bourbon. Johnnie Walker’s Blue Label Scotch Whisky is really rich in taste, and works well with Ashley’s BLT sandwich, which also comes with Fried Cheese Curds, Pesto Fries and a Bacon Wedge Salad. It’s heaven on earth. Arbor Brewing Company produces 130 different types of beers. A reasonable amount are seasonal and location-specific. A must-try is the Bollywood Blonde and Bliss Wheat. We came across a coffee liqueur which is worth trying, available at Ann Arbor Distilling company. We also sipped on a White Russian, which was as smooth as silk.

When time neared for the brief fashion editorial at Taste Kitchen, our stomachs were still able to work up the butterflies! It was here in Ypsilanti City, where we set up the camera equipment and searched for perfect lighting, which wasn’t that difficult in Taste Kitchen ( they’re well-equipped with massive storefront windows and tons of natural light). A little background on Taste Kitchen: this restaurant doesn’t specialize in exactly one particular category – a global cuisine with local ingredients. During your meal, it tastes as if every bite you take had been meticulously considered. Chef Danny Van treated us to a menu that called us to surrender. The dishes were so succulent, that after a full day of activities, we stuffed our stomachs with Van cuisine, and afterward, all we could do was retreat back to our room .

The University of Michigan Stadium aka “The Big House” is a classically constructed and colossal stadium built in 1927. Now, it is the largest stadium in America, with an official seating capacity of 109,900, though attendance often exceeds 111,000. One of the big perks during this tour was having the privilege of walking into the official locker rooms. The French toast at Fleetwood Diner is scrumptious, and one of their popular items is the Hippie Hash. If you’re into Moroccan food, the Casablanca is tasty, and refresh your palate with a Casablanca Fresh Lemonade with Ginger. The squad ordered a few plates: Casablanca Hummus, B’stilla , Couscous Dish and Casablanca Whole Chicken with yellow long grain rice (very tasty). The Original Gravity specializes in porter, light golden Belgian ale, American pale ale, amber ale, IPA, vanilla java porter and Orange Peel Wheels.

But, the Shinebox Dunkelweizen is recommended. Check out their website to stay abreast on their exciting menu changes. Wolverine State Brewing bar is known for their famous nachos, the 2019 Nachos. We enjoyed a flight of beers that included: Barista, Gulo, WPL, Raucher Smoked Lager and the Barista Coffee Lager (strongly recommended). In addition, they house an exclusive lager, the Wolverine Massacre Imperial Dark Lager, available annually, but only in the month of October. The dark lager is especially unique because of its packaging. Each bottle is dipped in red wax to seal in the delectable flavor. At Grange Kitchen & Bar, we tried their Spring Greens salad, Grilled Asparagus and Grilled Lake Trout. The Farmers Market introduced us to Lovage ice cream, quite a refreshing little treat. We were overjoyed to catch Pride Night at Necto nightclub. Veuve Clicquot and team members made the night! Braun Court is also an LGBTQ safe space that offers a variety of shops and great nightlife venues.

Kerrytown also houses a Farmers Market full of vendors, not to miss out on are: Maitelates Alfajor Artisanal, Mill Pond Bread, Mindo Chocolate and White Lotus Farms – just to name a few. If you’re into gelato, try the Nocciola, Coffee, Stoneground & Salted, Coconut Macaroon or Chocolate Balsamic Strawberry at Zingerman’s Creamery. So, who would’ve thought to transform an old church into a restaurant and brewery? Owners of Salt Springs Brewery, located in Saline, did. I mean, most churches hoard wine and flatbreads anyway, right? The Salt Springs Mac-N-Cheese and Sausage Pizza were faultless. At Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales, in Dexter, we tasted more beers and Bourbon. Our servers recommend La Roja, they were right. Down in Grizzly Peak Brewing, we suggest Hop Happy Monk and Bear Paw Porter. It had been a while since we had tequila on our tongues, so we took a recommendation to Isalita, and that did the trick. Mani, an osteria and restaurant, offers small plates featuring seasonal and local ingredients. Their menu includes stone-fired pizza, house-made pasta alongside a small production of Old World wines. Their Pickled Tomatoes were delicious with toasted bread. Our stone-fired pizza recommendations are Cippolini and Puttanesca. We also enjoyed their Linguine and Pappardelle. It seemed we really couldn’t go wrong with anything on their menu.

This metropolis is filled with an array of restaurants and bars, with a tight local network of local farms. Ann Arbor is an innovative, fresh and artistic town, chockful of eclectic culture.

HOFSAS HOUSE HOTEL

DISCONNECTING FROM THE WORLD IS EASIER WITH AN ASTONISHING OCEAN VIEW IN HOFSAS HOUSE HOTEL

The charming hamlet of Carmel-by-the-Sea hosts a boutique family-owned inn with 38 uniquely decorated rooms. A thalassophile is able to watch glorious sunsets over the Pacific Ocean from the seclusion of the inn’s decks or rooms. Hofsas offers a warm ambiance with its fireplaces, exclusive balconies and wet bars or kitchens. Comfortability seems to be their primary priority.

Amongst their amenities, you can enjoy a continental breakfast with French roasted coffee, tea, fresh pastries delivered from a local bakery, juice and/or fruit. After satisfying your hunger, you can relax in its heated swimming pool and dry saunas or walk about the area with your pet-friendly. If that is not enough, there is also free wireless internet access.

Hofsas House has a welcoming mural painted by their featured artist Maxine Albro, who also made the headboard spotted in room 47. Albro was commissioned by her friend Donna Hofsas, the hotel’s founder. In the 1940s and 1950s, Maxine was living in Carmel. After the main four-story addition to the Hofsas House was completed in 1957, Donna asked Maxine to create the wall painting and add other highlights to the front of the building to enhance the Bavarian theme. She also painted the three pictures hanging in the lobby. Maxine Albro was an artist who worked between Mexico and San Francisco. She carried out many commissions under programs of the New Deal, such as the Federal Works of Art Project and the Works Progress Administration. Albro was one of the foremost female artists to be hired as a muralist for this national project. The most significant commission Albro executed in her career was a mural at Coit Tower in San Francisco. As a tribute to Maxine, Hofsas House commissioned local artist Christine Sorensen to touch up a headboard and valance, faux paint the walls, enhance the end tables and glaze the crown molding in Room 47.

Hofsas House can be proud of its marvelous localization. Everything, including the beach, is well within walking distance.
In that respect is an iconic 45-year- old restaurant called The Whaling Station Steakhouse, where 360 MAGAZINE had the opportunity to taste its exceptional menu. In this steakhouse, you can find executive Chef David Stember’s very own creations, such as prime rib egg rolls ( shaved prime rib, caramelized onions and a Gruyere – Emmental – Swiss cheese blend stuffed inside a crispy egg roll wrapper ) and an open-faced bourbon BBQ beef sandwich on garlic toast. The Whaling Station was one of the first to cook the $99 prime porterhouse steak for two, USDA PRIME grade prime rib, an accolade –
winning wine list, the now-famous open-faced steak sandwich, Caesar salad tossed tableside, the ability to add a lobser tail to any entrée, and Castroville artichokes. Moreover, The Bar at The Whaling Station has its own menu and its own local following, with drink specials and lively conversation served nightly. The Whaling Station is the perfect choice for a meal during a peaceful stay in Hofsas House.

Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village

A Paradise Retreat in the Backyard of a Concrete Jungle.

Since 1961, the Canadian international luxury brand, the Four Seasons Hotel and Resort, has been the exemplar case of continual innovation for an extraordinary five-star hospitality experience. California Health & Longevity Institute, at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, sustains a 40,000 sq. ft. spa, the largest of any Four Seasons Hotel worldwide. It offers a variety of services including, massage therapy, dentistry, dermatological services, chiropractic care, concierge medical services, and Eastern & Western modalities in a stateof-the-art medical facility.

After a laborious week at the LA office, we were enthralled by the luxuriant gardens and service culture of this particular property – seven floors containing 269 soundproofed rooms with a 24hr front desk. As soon as we hopped out our Dodge Challenger SRT, we were greeted by valet and whisked past an enchanting array of crystal chandeliers throughout the hall. Across from check-in was a refined coffee bar. A perfect stir for coffee and a quick bite. Adjacent is its premiere “Lobby Lounge” restaurant which had a picturesque view of central grounds, including whimsical waterfalls.

After our treatments, each of us snacked on granola, apples, and sipped herbal tea while viewing the indoor cascading water fountain. Next, we took advantage of the plunge pools, sauna, steam room and mosaic hot tub. We finished the long, yet, relaxing day enjoying a walk around the 450,000 sq. ft. grounds of the hotel. Don’t you dare cheat yourself by missing out on witnessing breathtaking views of the fifteen acres of verdant landscaping. We relished in the spa lounge, walked the grounds, reflected on our experiences, and next was dinner. In the Wellness Kitchen, enjoyed a glass of vino and dinner at the “Wine Wednesday” demonstration cooking class conducted by Paulette Lambert, R.D., CDE. Each meal is inspired by the current season, of which you visit, and is paired with a balanced tasting from a local winery. It’s a great replenishing meal after a day of total relaxation (check official site for dates and times). If you have toddlers and/or teens in tow, there’s a supervised children’s club, as well as, an arcade/game room to keep them satisfied. Moreover, we all know a glass of merlot can be messy, but don’t fret because dry cleaning and laundry services are on campus and eager to serve. If you’re an overachiever that doesn’t let off on enhancing your physical strength, the gym facility contains most equipment offered at premiere fitness institutions, akin Equinox.

Speaking about the new song, P!NK reveals, “As a woman with an opinion and the fearlessness to voice that opinion, it gets very tiring when the only retort is to tell me how irrelevant I am. I am relevant because I exist, and because I am a human being. No one is irrelevant. And no one can take away my voice.”

With focus on voter’s advocacy, the artist is throwing support behind the organization, When We All Vote, announcing that her proceeds from“Irrelevant” will go to the national, nonpartisan voting initiative created by Michelle Obama. The advocacy group, whose mission is to change the culture around the voting process, seeks to increase participation in each election cycle by helping to close race and age gaps. To date, more than 100 million people have been educated about the voting process, resulting in increased voter registration.

The call to resist continues in “Irrelevant,” as P!NK urges fans to take action and advocate for their rights.

DADDY YANKEE – LEGENDADDY

Daddy Yankee’s critically acclaimed chart-topping magnum opus and final album, LEGENDADDY, is officially THE BIGGEST LATIN ALBUM OF 2022.

It just went platinum (Latin), and the RIAA has recognized it with the “Top Latin Album Released in 2022 At Mid-Year” Award. Thus far, it has impressively racked up over 1 billion streams and counting.

The impact of LEGENDADDY only continues to grow. The recent music video for “X Última Vez” has amassed over 69 million YouTube views and counting. Rolling Stone fittingly declared, LEGENDADDY is Daddy Yankee’s final victory lap, marking the end of a lengthy career for the undisputed king of reggaeton.” It’s just the beginning though of a massive summer for Daddy Yankee.
Speaking to the excitement around the last chapter of his genre-defining career, his farewell tour “LA ÚLTIMA VUELTA” (The Last Round) has already sold out in advance of its launch this summer.

Upon release, LEGENDADDY landed as the #1 Latin Album in the World. It bowed at #1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums Chart, arriving as his fifth consecutive #1 debut on the respective chart. Additionally, it catapulted into the Top 10 of the Billboard Top 200 at #8, marking his highest position on the chart to date and first Top 10 in 15 years since 2007’s El Cartel: The Big Boss. Additionally, it soared to #1 on the Spotify Weekly Top Albums Chart.

LEGENDADDY incited widespread critical applause. Variety proclaimed, “Spanning over three decades of music, the 19-track collection captures the essence of reggaeton, salsa, dancehall, rap, trap, bachata, EDM, and Caribbean influencers, and The New York Times noted, “The most dynamic moments come when Yankee reaches for the magic of the past – whether indulging in boastful hubris or summoning listeners into dance floor reverie.Rolling Stone awarded the record “4-out-of-5 stars” and raved, He’s going out in a blaze of glory.

Right out of the gate, LEGENDADDY took over Spotify worldwide, ascending to #1 on the Global Album Chart, achieving the biggest streaming day of his career on Spotify with a staggering 35.7 million streams—almost double his prior career-best. Instead, LEGENDADDY might just be the biggest part of the century as he invites a variety of A-list friends to celebrate over three decades of music on this 19-track opus. To herald the record’s arrival, he accompanied the release with nine exhilarating and high-energy music videos for “AGUA,” “LA OLA,” “ZONA DEL PERREO,” “HOT,” “BOMBÓN,” “EL ABUSADOR DEL ABUSADOR,” “IMPARES,” and for his single “REMIX. The single’s head-nodding beat and reggaeton production underscore hard-hitting verses and a rafter-reaching refrain. It pops off as a banger on par with his most applauded output. The accompanying visual proves equally scorching, stylish, and sexy.

For one last time, he will canvas the world on his sold out tour “LA ÚLTIMA VUELTA” (The Last Round). Promoted by Cardenas Marketing Network and Raphy Pina, MR Sold Out, the five-month trek includes some of the rapper-songwriters’ biggest headline shows in North America and Latin America to date.

That album is LEGENDADDY, and it is here forever.

About Daddy Yankee
As a culture creator, game changer, agent of change, and groundbreaker, Daddy Yankee has consistently inspired, impacted, and influenced generations of creators. An indisputable icon, he remains one of the most influential artists of all time, bringing reggaeton worldwide for the first time. Latin music and culture would not look, sound, or feel the same without him. It’s hard to even imagine the genre itself without “Gasolina,” “Despacito” [with Luis Fonsi], or “Con Calma” [with Snow], and more.

Since 1995, he has consistently conquered charts, toppled records, and made history on his own terms. The magnitude of his accolades proves nearly impossible to match or exceed. Living up to the title of “King of Reggaeton, he has moved north of 30 million records as one of the best-selling Latin music artists of all-time.” Out of hundreds of awards, he has scored five Latin GRAMMY® Awards, eight Billboard Music Awards, 26 Billboard Latin Music Awards, four Latin American Music Awards (including the Icon Award), 17 Lo Nuestro Awards, an MTV VMA, and 10 ASCAP Awards in addition to earning a spot on the Puerto Rican Walk of Fame and the “Presencia Latina at Harvard University. He also stands out as the only Latin Artist with four Spanish-language entries on the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. He received Songwriter of the Year three times at the 2021 ASCAP Latin Music Awards and distinguished himself as the first urban Latino artist to enter the Billboard Hall of Fame.

Most importantly, he runs and leads his charity “Daddy’s House,” which Billboard commended with the Spirit of Hope Award.

After changing the face of Latin music forever, he leaves on the highest note possible in 2022 with his twelfth full-length offering and final album, LEGENDADDY, brought to life with his farewell tour, LA ÚLTIMA VUELTA (The Last Round). The album combines the essence of Reggaeton with salsa, dancehall, rap, trap bachata, EDM, and Caribbean music like never before.

BLACKPINK RETURNS

Y.G. Entertainment has announced that BLACKPINK will make their long-awaited return this Summer. Currently, in the final stages of recording a new album, BLACKPINK‘s new music in August starts an ongoing large-scale project that will extend through the year’s second half.

In the announcement, Y.G. Entertainment stated, “much BLACKPINK-Esque music has been prepared over a long time. On top of new music and large-scale projects, BLACKPINK will also go on the largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group by the end of the year to expand their rapport with fans worldwide.”

Before their first full album, ‘THE ALBUM‘ in 2020, BLACKPINK gained steady popularity with their pre-release single “How You Like That” and their unique collaboration with Selena Gomez “Ice Cream.” Despite the restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, BLACKPINK drew a record-breaking explosive response from global fans with only their music. ‘THE ALBUM,’ which catapulted to number 2 on both the U.S. Billboard 200 and U.K. Official Chart, also featured standout track “Lovesick Girls,” which sold over 1.4 million copies worldwide, making BLACKPINK the first K-pop girl group to sell over a million units.
