Guns N’ Roses Tour

The Guns N’ Roses Not in This Lifetime tour is winding down, and the band is taking their final act to Europe, with 18 shows that are scheduled across 14 European countries.
Dates for the tour’s last leg are on the Guns N’ Roses official website, along with the venue for each show. The series of shows will begin on 3 June 2018 at the Olympiastadion in Germany and end on 21 July 2018 at the Ullevi Stadium in Sweden.

Back at the Park

The show on 9 June 2018 will be extra special for UK fans as GNR will headline the famed Download Festival, a three-day spectacle held at Donington Park in Leicestershire.

The band’s last visit at Donington Park was both memorable and controversial. An account of the day’s events by Virtual Festival discussed how an unruly crowd threw bottles on the stage, with one hitting then-bassist Tommy Stinson. Axl Rose then slipped on a wet surface, prompting him to storm out, before coming back out and warning the crowd sternly that he would leave if the rowdiness persisted. The crowd calmed long enough for GNR to finish their set, and Rose at one point told fans “I’m actually having quite a good time now!”

About Guns N’ Roses

Guns N Roses are one of the most iconic acts ever to come out of the 80s LA rock scene, and their seminal Appetite for Destruction is a must-have for rock fans. It is number 62 in Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, and as the brief review of the album notes, GNR when firing on all cylinders “left all other Eighties metal bands looking like poodle-haired pretenders.”

watch video:

The band released four more albums before Slash and McKagan left the band in the mid-1990s. It took two decades for the original members (minus Izzy Stradlin) to reunite on stage, much to the delight of hardcore GNR fans who have stood by the band through all these years despite long stretches of inactivity and several line-up changes.

Seeing the original line-up of Guns N’ Roses was once just a pipedream for most fans. At one point only Axl Rose was left from the 1987 Appetite for Destruction line-up. It wasn’t just fans looking back at the band’s heyday, in 2015 it was reported that James Franco was working on a film about the early days of GNR. Outside of the proposed film, the band also has a strong digital presence. The Guns N’ Roses video slot game on Slingo is popular among fans as it is a reminder of the original GNR, with images that fans can identify right away like Slash’s guitar, Rose’s whistle and the trademark padded mic. It even gives a nod to the band’s seminal Appetite for Destruction album. While the film and game kept the hopes of the fans alive, in 2016 GNR answered their prayers by reforming.

The band’s reunion has been wildly successful, and GNR fans in Europe are no doubt looking forward to the tour’s final act. After that who knows? Maybe a new album?

KASKADE XMAS

KASKADE’S FULL-LENGTH

CHRISTMAS ALBUM OUT TODAY

Six-time Grammy® nominated singer, songwriter and producer Kaskade today released a full-length Christmas via his own Arkade label in partnership with Sony International. The album is available to stream and download now HERE.

“I’ve always loved Christmas music dating back to my days as a child going to church with my family,” said Kaskade. “All these years later, I’ve been able to put my own collection of Holiday music together and am really excited to have it out this season. I love the challenge of taking music that I have grown up with and producing it in a way that is new and modern.”

The 13-song collection features Kaskade’s unique interpretation of holiday classics such as “Deck The Halls”, “Silent Night”, and “The First Noel”, as well as new original material and collaborations with Late Night Alumni, Erika, Debra Fotheringham, Skylar Grey, Isley, Gabrielle Current, Kayrae, Jane XØ, and Dia Frampton.

Kaskade added: “To add my imprint to classic songs is fun for me, and my die-hard fans will be familiar with the ways I make them my own.  Some of the songs are huge departures from the original style, while others stick within the main framework.  Add that to a few originals and…I am really proud of what I have created here. Christmas is fun… so is the music, and I’m here to bust up all the preconceived notions about what it should sound like. The mood of the season is about imagination, hope and love. This is for everyone, regardless of what you believe.”

Kaskade is about to wrap up  a handful of Redux tour dates. He recently announced that he will close out the year with special shows at The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, CA. This will mark his second New Year’s Eve show at the venue. Tickets for both dates are available at www.kaskademusic.com. See below for a complete list of upcoming dates.

Earlier this fall Kaskade released Redux EP 002 on his own label, Arkade. The seven-song set is now available to stream and download in its entirety HERE. Redux EP 002 is centered around Kaskade’s intimate Redux shows, an homage to the stripped down clubs and deeper House Music played from the time his career was beginning. It kicks off with the lead single “Nobody Like You“. The EP also features contributions from LöKii, Mr. Tape, and Late Night Alumni.

Following the success of Kaskade’s history making performance last summer at the Los Angeles Convention Center (which sold out in record time, was the biggest solo headlining show of his career and was attended by nearly 25,000 people), Kaskade returned to Southern California this past July to bring his fans another unforgettable experience via a massive outdoor beach party in Long Beach called Sun Soaked. The beach side three hour plus performance featured material spanning Kaskade’s career. Billboard proclaimed: “Kaskade cements west coast legacy with Sun Soaked party debut.”

Moneybagg Yo and YoungBoy Never Broke Again Unite On Fed Baby’s Mixtape

Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo and Baton Rouge rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again have teamed up for Fed Baby’s, out today on N-Less Entertainment/ Never Broke Again LLC., distributed by Interscope Records. Fed Baby’s is available now at all DSPs HERE.

As told by Moneybagg Yo, the two rappers first worked together when Moneybagg was sent a song to add a verse to while YoungBoy Never Broke Again was serving a prison sentence earlier this year. Moneybagg hopped on the song and continued to hold YoungBoy down while he was incarcerated. After completing his sentence, the two connected on FaceTime and decided to work on a project together. The majority of the 14 song project was recorded during a week long session in Atlanta. The two then headed to LA to complete the final tracks.

Moneybagg Yo “The chemistry between us was natural. We come from the same place, just two different sides of the world. We both come from struggle so it’s easy to relate.”

The project comes on the heels of a whirlwind year for both breakout rappers. Moneybagg Yo’s Federal 3X, released on August 11, debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and has amassed over 120k in consumption units. The mixtape earned critical acclaim from The New York Times, praising Moneybagg Yo for “blend[ing] the tough and the comic with an intuitive gift for casually robust rhymes.” Meanwhile, Billboard noted that “Moneybagg’s ability to voice his harsh realities on paper is what makes him such an alluring act on the independent circuit.”

On August 4, current FADER cover star YoungBoy Never Broke Again, released Al YoungBoy, his first body of work since his release from prison which stands at over 198 million streams in the US. The mixtape landed at #2 on the iTunes Overall Albums chart and led The New York Times to call Youngboy Never Broke Again “one of the most promising young Southern rappers.” Currently on the road with 21 Savage for his Numb The Pain Tour, Rolling Stone featured YoungBoy Never Broke Again as one of their Artists You Need To Know For October 2017.

Green Day Release New Music Video For “Back In The USA”

GREATEST HITS: GOD’S FAVORITE BAND

AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE TODAY

“The Most Influential Band of Their Generation” – Entertainment Weekly

“Greatest Living Punk Band” – N.M.E.

Grammy® Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Green Day today released a new song and accompanying music video for “Back In The USA,” which is featured on Greatest Hits: God’s Favorite Band.  The album is available everywhere today via Reprise Records. To watch the video, click HERE and to purchase the album visit www.greenday.com. A complete track listing can be found below.

Greatest Hits: God’s Favorite Band includes 20 hits spanning Green Day’s prolific 31 years as a band. In addition to “Back In The USA,” it also features a new duet with award-winning Country Music superstar Miranda Lambert on “Ordinary World.” Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong previously collaborated with Lambert at the 56th annual Grammy® Awards in 2014 for a live duet in tribute of the late Phil Everly of The Everly Brothers.

On March 22nd, God miraculously came down to the Ed Sullivan Theatre to introduce Green Day as “God’s Favorite Band” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.  When God speaks people listen, and that day God bestowed upon Green Day the title: Greatest Hits: God’s Favorite Band. The collection chronicles the sonic journey of one of the most essential and dynamic rock bands in recent history. Formed in 1986 in Berkeley, CA, Green Day achieved breakout success with 1994’s Dookie, which has sold more than 10 million copies to date in the U.S. alone. Widely credited with popularizing and reviving mainstream interest in punk rock, Green Day would go on to release Insomniac (1995), Nimrod (1997), and Warning (2000). In 2004, Green Day released the rock opera American Idiot, which captured the nation’s attention and sold more than six million copies in the U.S. Mojo declared “It’s exhilarating stuff, the kind of record that sets new parameters as to what is possible from a punk rock’n’roll band in the 21st century.”  In 2010, a stage adaptation of American Idiot debuted on Broadway. The band went on to release the critically acclaimed 21st Century Breakdown (2009) and the album trilogy Green Day ¡Uno!, Green Day ¡Dos!, and Green Day ¡Tré (2012).

Green Day is one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time, having sold more than 75 million records worldwide. The group has won five Grammy Awards. On April 18, 2015, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a part of the 2015 class in what was their first year of eligibility for induction. Green Day’s 12th studio album Revolution Radio was released on October 7, 2016 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. Upon its release, People proclaimed: “The punk vets still have a tattooed finger on the national pulse.”

Earlier this fall, Billie Joe Armstrong performed “Ordinary World” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon before a show stopping Green Day performance at Global Citizen Festival in Central Park in New York City. This weekend they will wrap up the current leg of their global tour in Mexico City.

CALUM SCOTT RELEASES NEW SINGLE, “YOU ARE THE REASON,” TODAY VIA ALL DIGITAL PARTNERS

CALUM SCOTT RELEASES NEW SINGLE, “YOU ARE THE REASON,”TODAY VIA ALL DIGITAL PARTNERS

TRACK FOLLOWS ON BRITISH BREAKOUT ARTIST’S PREVIOUS HITS “RHYTHM INSIDE” AND “DANCING ON MY OWN”

SCOTT TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM SPRING 2018 ON CAPITOL RECORDS

Breakout British singer-songwriter Calum Scott releases a new single, “You Are The Reason,” today via all digital partners. The emotionally resonant piano ballad was written by Scott, Jon Maguire and Corey James Sanders and produced by Fraser T Smith (Adele, Ellie Goulding). Listen HERE. Watch Scott perform, “You Are The Reason” – 1 Mic 1 Take (Live From Abbey Road Studios) HERE.  Scott will also release his debut album this Spring 2018 on Capitol Records. More info to follow soon.

“‘You Are The Reason’ started out as a song about something completely different than what it is now. It was originally written from a fragile place of anxiety and not knowing the cause of it, so the song started to become ‘Without A Reason’. But as we carried on writing, we realised how every relationship has difficult times but you stick with it because the love you fundamentally feel for the other person overrides everything else,” says Scott. “I wrote this song to say thank you to those special people who make our lives better, simply because they’re in it.”

“You Are The Reason” follows on the heels of Scott’s two previous singles, his original song “Rhythm Inside,” which has over 24 million streams worldwide, and his poignant version of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own,” which became a global sensation. It was the best-selling U.K. single of 2016 by a British solo artist and was nominated for a Brit Award for Best Single. “Dancing On My Own” quickly charted in over 34 countries on Spotify, peaking at No. 1 on the Viral chart in six countries, including the U.S. The song has 550 million streams worldwide, while the video have surpassed 200 million views.  The song also charted at No. 1 on iTunes in 11 countries and is certified Platinum in four countries. In the U.K., it hit #2 on the Official Singles Sales chart, was the most-downloaded song of the summer, and ranks as one of the most-played songs of 2016 at U.K. radio.

Scott wrapped up his first U.S. headlining tour earlier this year with sold-out shows across the country. While in the States, he performed “Dancing On My Own” on Late Night with Seth MeyersThe Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America, and Dancing With The Stars.
