TLE Cinco Releases “2.0 Cinco” Mixtape

19 year-old Bessemer, Alabama native, TLE Cinco just released his debut-label project, 2.0 Cinco. The “All The Money” rapper caught the attention of 300 Entertainment in late 2018. After catching the attention of ElevatorSingersroom, and DJ Carisma, TLE has garnered a special feature from label-mate, Tee Grizzley for the remix of “All The Money.” Throughout the spring, Cinco will continue to release visuals from the 13-track project. Check out TLE Cinco’s new mixtape below.

Billy Raffoul Releases “Lovely”

Emerging singer/songwriter Billy Raffoul releases new song “Lovely” today on Interscope Records. “Lovely” was written by Raffoul and produced by Greg Kurstin and Raffoul.  “Lovely” is available now at all digital retailers and will appear on Raffoul’s forthcoming debut album which will be released later this year.

Lovely is a sad happy song about missed opportunity,” says Raffoul.

Raffoul will hit the road this spring first heading out on a handful of dates opening for Julia Michaels, then supporting Parachute on their North American tour.  The extensive run of dates with Parachute will bring Raffoul to New York’s Gramercy Theater, Nashville’s Cannery Ballroom, D.C.’s 9:30 Club, Boston’s Royale as well as two dates at Los Angeles’ Troubadour.   With his debut album due out soon, he’s looking forward to widening the reach of his live show, a stripped-back performance currently featuring only Raffoul, his guitar, and his drum pedals.

Growing up in the small farming town of Leamington, Ontario, Raffoul first started writing songs at age 10, thanks in no small part to the influence of his father—a musician who’s opened for everyone from Joe Cocker to Bon Jovi. After landing his first paying gig—playing to long-haul drivers at a local truck stop—Raffoul began playing at nearby bars and clubs at age 16, often driving into Detroit for shows. He eventually connected with a manager and moved down to Nashville to push forward with his music career. Soon after scoring a deal with Interscope Records, Raffoul released the critically hailed song “Driver” and followed that with his debut EP 1975 in June 2018.  Critical praise followed with NPR raving, “Billy Raffoul has stepped into the spotlight.” Over the past few years, Raffoul has opened for heavyweight artists like, Kings of Leon, X Ambassadors, NEEDTOBREATHE and Kaleo, captivating crowds with his understated yet intensely passionate stage presence.

Dj Snake and Eptic “SouthSide”

DJ Snake and Eptic have teamed up on a new song, “SouthSide,” which is released today via Geffen Records and available from all digital partners.

Listen to “SouthSide” by DJ Snake and Eptic HERE.

The French DJ and producer and Belgian bass music prodigy teamed up after running into each other at the airport in London two years ago. “Snake said he wanted to work together, but only on one condition,” Eptic says. “We had to make the hardest track possible. It took a lot of time and elbow grease, but we ended up with something next level and I couldn’t be more proud. I’ve been opening with this for last few months and it absolutely destroys the dance floor.”

DJ Snake’s previous single “Taki Taki,” featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B, shot to No. 1 on iTunes in 25 countries, continuing his track record of global hits, from “Turn Down for What” to “Let Me Love You” to the club smash of last summer — his India-inspired “Magenta Riddim.” The video for “Taki Taki” is the sixth-fastest music video of all time to hit 100 million views on YouTube. Visit http://djsnake.com/tour/ for upcoming tour dates, which include appearances at Coachella on April 12 and April 19, and the sold out Pardon My French, featuring DJ Snake, Tchami X Malaa, and Mercer, at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver on April 26.

Twenty-five-year-old wunderkind Eptic has established himself as one of the brightest talents in bass music, earning millions of streams through a slew of powerhouse anthems including his remix of “Get With The Program” with Trampa, his collaboration with Zomboy on “Bop It,” and his re-work of Dillon Francis’ “Say Less” featuring G-Eazy.

Maggie Rogers Announces North American Tour Dates

Just before launching her sold-out spring tour tonight, Maggie Rogers announced a new series of North American dates. The Heard It In A Past Life tour will kick off on July 26 at Thompson’s Point in Portland, ME. The outing will include a two-night stand at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall (October 1 & 2) and shows at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA (September 20), Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium (October 15) and ACL Live at The Moody Theater in Austin (October 19).  Empress Of and Jacob Banks will join Rogers as support. Visit http://www.maggierogers.com/live/ for itinerary. The acclaimed producer/songwriter/performer will also play numerous festivals, including Coachella.

Pre-sale tickets for the summer/fall shows go on sale to members of Rogers’ fan club on Monday, March 25th.  The AMEX pre-sale begins on Monday, March 25thand the Spotify pre-sale starts on Wednesday, March 27th.  Tickets go on sale to the general public here on Friday, March 29th, at 10:00 AM local time. AEG Presents will present the majority of Rogers’ fall tour. The remaining dates will be presented by independent promoters. Rogers recently wrapped up a tour of the U.K., Ireland and Europe. At London’s O2 Academy Brixton, Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine joined her onstage for a performance of “Light On.”

Rogers is touring in support of her Capitol Records debut album, Heard It In A Past Life, which entered Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart at No. 1 and charted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. It has sold nearly 200,000 album adjusted units to date with cumulative streams across all tracks exceeding 400 million. Her current single, “Light On,” topped Billboard’s Adult Alternative Songs chart for two consecutive weeks. Rogers recently performed “Burning,” another track from the album, on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.” View here.

In this feature, The New York Times said, “‘Heard It in a Past Life’ is a collection of buoyant electronic pop songs, but the lyrics are unmistakably the work of an introvert struggling to recalibrate.” Rolling Stone awarded the album four stars and hailed it as “a laser focused statement with nary a wasted lyric or synth line.”TIME said, “The album confirms Rogers as a tender but powerful musical force, putting her in the company of a group of solo female artists claiming space outside of the typical machines of pop, country or R&B.” NPR Music noted, “’Heard It In A Past Life’ (is) smart sparkling pop.”

Maggie Rogers grew up in Easton, Maryland. After graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she released her critically acclaimed debut EP, Now That The Light Is Fading. The BBC, Tidal, Google Play, Vevo, Pandora and numerous publications – including Rolling StoneNYLON, SPINBillboard and more – have tipped her as an artist to watch. NPR named her one of its Favorite Musicians and The New Yorker declares, “Maggie Rogers is an artist of her time.”  Rogers’ television performances include “Saturday Night Live,” “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Named as the first YouTube Artist On The Rise (AOTR) of 2019, she has also been included in Twitter Music’s #ArtistToFollow, Amazon’s First And Last and Pandora’s Drumbeats programs.

Suzi Wu Releases Error 404 EP

SUZI WU RELEASES ERROR 404 EP VIA AMF RECORDS/DEF JAM

LISTEN HERE

WATCH THE VIDEO FOR “HIGHWAY” HERE

ANNOUNCES US SHOW DATES INCLUDING GOVERNORS BALL ON JUNE 1

“On the surface scattergun, these songs are in reality precision-tooled and pretty much perfect.” – Sunday Times Culture

“Suzi Wu is the badass pop music needs” – Pigeons & Planes

“She’s presenting a sound that’s very new, yet – in the best of way – still manages to feel familiar.” – MTV

“Her lyrics are full of charisma, and will resonate with anyone who’s ever been young and directionless in the city.” – Noisey

21-year-old Londoner Suzi Wu drops her EP ‘Error 404’ (mixed by Mike Dean) and video for “Highway” today via AMF Records/Def Jam Recordings. Suzi explains, “I wrote this EP in a time of transition from my previous releases to something more electronic. I was writing poetically about things that are artificial. Trying to write romantically about the blue glow playing across my bedroom and big open luminous- grey spaces like the M25 motorway, where I spent a lot of my childhood in between the departure and the destination.

The video for “Highway” is just me and my mates having a good time in a warehouse, which is sort of reminiscent of squat raves for me. I’m in tiny little Mercedes Benz because although, like everyone else I love the idea of having money, I’m a little bored of clout culture and everyone flexing. I’d prefer to drop a few grand on a pinball machine compared to a diamond necklace. It’s just more fun.”

Born in Blackpool, Suzi Wu grew up in London and spent the summers back up north, learning as much in the big city as she did in the never-ending car journeys she’d take on the motorway. Driving back to extended family, Suzi (surname: McDermott) earned another extended family in the car where she enjoyed the company of her mother’s extensive record collection: from Beastie Boys to Riot Grrl, Beck to Patti Smith. You can hear all and none of those influences in Error 404, her second EP; the sound of pop turned inside out.

After school, Suzi decided to pursue a course in production. The inequalities that exist behind the scenes in the music industry didn’t even occur. For her, production skills would give her the keys to the car. She had been writing songs on guitar from a young age but had a vision for how she wanted it to sound. She excelled at the course. “That was a new good feeling,” she laughs.

Pop culture is deeply important to Suzi. From the bands she’d listen to growing up, to the “collective” she considers herself part of in East London currently, she recognizes the power of music in its subversion of societal norms and in its welcoming of outcasts; outcasts who manage to outsmart old industry tropes. With her second EP on the horizon – the follow-up to 2017’s ‘Teenage Witch’ – she’s following in similar self-possessed, fan-base building footsteps.

Error 404 is a far more electronic collection of songs and more unashamedly pop. Suzi, however, strives to buck trends. The EP is chopped and screwed with a hip-hop edge. Suzi’s vocal delivery has been compared with M.I.A. and King Krule. Those comparisons both feel limiting and reductive. Particularly given Suzi is 21 years-old and living her own unique experience. The four songs are rooted in her plainspoken swagger, which she carries out in her lower register and doesn’t pretty up to render it more feminine.

With Teenage Witch having already racked up a wealth of praise and attention from radio, press, and streaming services, tongues are wagging with anticipation for Suzi’s follow-up. Error 404 bridges the gap but definitely transports Suzi to an even bolder stop on her journey to pop notoriety. “I’m always writing,” she says, always another move ahead.

Today, buzzing bilingual Salvadoran artist Ratchetón releases his latest single “Yo Se” that is dancefloor ready, bringing back the traditional Reggaeton sound with a cumbia flavor from Texas producer and Latin Grammy nominee El Dusty, alongside Clips x Ahoy and Mariano Herrera. Ratchetón’s vocals float over the track as he sings to a past girlfriend “que conmigo estas bien feliz, ay ma, vente con migo” or “you know you were always happy with me, come over.” Last week at SXSW, Ratchetón and El Dusty premiered the song with live performances at Peligrosa House and the Mad Decent x AriZona “Good Gas” stage presented by super producer FKi 1st (Post Malone, Travis Scott, A.Chal) with performances also by Texas rappers 10k.Caash, G.U.N and Dro Fe.

Listen to “Yo Se”: HERE

RATCHETÓN hit the Latin music scene with his first single “Que Lo Que,” racking up over 350,000 streams and jumpstarting a growing fanbase. His follow up release “Callate” is a club anthem that brings a hip-hop bounce to his laid back Spanish flow.

RATCHETÓN was born in South Central Los Angeles and raised in East Hollywood around in a mixture of cultures and musical influences. Playing in bands growing up and then becoming involved in skateboarding culture, he always had an ear for music and an eye for visuals. When he met producer FKi 1st they set out to create a new sound dubbed “Ratchetón.” Carving out his own lane, he describes it as a fusion of current trap with traditional reggaeton mashed up in a fun, sexy, and of course ratchet way. Most importantly, these are bold international anthems that set him up for big things to come.

Currently RATCHETÓN is putting the finishing touches on his first album to be released May 2019.

Monsta X & Steve Aoki “Play It Cool

GLOBAL POP SENSATIONS MONSTA X & STEVE AOKI RELEASE ENGLISH VERSION OF HIT SINGLE “PLAY IT COOL” TODAY

STREAM “PLAY IT COOL” ENGLISH VERSION HERE

Today, global superstars, Monsta X, and two-time Grammy nominated DJ and Producer, Steve Aoki, release the English version of their collaborative hit “Play it Cool.” On the heels of releasing the Korean version last month, the Aoki-Monsta force keeps fans on their feet with this new English language track. Aoki composed, arranged, and produced this track, alongside co-writer and Monsta X rapper, I.M.

The bouncy piano keys and punchy beat provide the foundation for Aoki’s iconic electro-pop sound, paired with Aoki’s use of Monsta X’s voices, to create texture and build the track as a whole. The initial chorus proclaims “And when you’re dancin’ in my face, I just play it cool,” followed by the lyrics “I love the way that you came over here” repeated over and over again in an edited sped-up hook that is impossible to get out of your head. Steve says, “their [Monsta X] voices dive into your soul”, so it’s no surprise that he would utilize their singing as a fundamental motif and driving force, outside of the vocal leads.

“Monsta X is one of those powerhouse groups that sets the bar very high,” stated Aoki. “Their voices stay with you long after the song is over, and on this track they sang so profoundly that all we had to do was focus on the story we were telling. I really believe in today’s world that we have redefined what love and relationships look like, so I think that this song is one that many people can relate to.”

“It was such an honor to work with Steve Aoki. He is truly an amazing artist and producer. We love how “Play It Cool” turned out at the end so much that we included it in our recent album – Take 2 ‘We Are Here’!” said Monsta X. “After the great success of the Korean version, we can’t wait to see the responses to the English version from all over the world. This collab is a gift from us to our ‘monbebe’ , for always taking care of us and keeping it cool. Thank you.”

Outside of this new collab with Steve, Monsta X have also announced a nineteen-date world tour beginning in April, ending with six U.S. dates. The band will be traveling all the way from South Korea to California throughout the course of their performances, ending at the historic Staples Center. Tickets are on sale Friday March 29th, 4:00PM local; follow the link here for more information. The band’s latest album, Take.2 ‘We Are Here,’ debuted at #5 on Billboard’s World Albums Chart for the week of March 2, 2019; and has been causing an unstoppable wave of interest with notable mentions in Complex, Idolator, Billboard, Cosmopolitan, and NME stating that the album “features some giant leaps forward for the band.” On top of that, the band is currently set to perform as the first K-pop group at the iHeartRadio Music Festival out in Las Vegas on September 21st, 2019.

ABOUT MONSTA X

Monsta X has been causing an unstoppable wave of interest here, with their history making performances at iHeartRadio Jingle Ball last December. Variety raved that Monsta X “was especially impressive, getting down with the acrobatics the group displayed on their hyped up, historic appearances as the first K Pop act to grace the Jingle Ball stage.” The Boston Globe referred to them as the “night’s most fascinating act” and MTV stated that they “had The Forum shaking and rattling.” Instyle stated; “If we were giving out an award for “Best Dancer” at the Jingle Ball, it would go to Monsta X, hands down. The K-pop band opened the whole shebang, and while their vocals were also great, they stole the show with their moves.”

In addition to that, the band continues to garner stellar reviews from media such as: MTV, Refinery 29, Buzzfeed, Allure, Idolator, Billboard, Dazed, Rolling Stone India, Popcrush “Monsta X is a group that cannot be overlooked.” They even made the cut for Pandora’s 2019 Artist’s To Watch, as the only K-Pop group included.
