Ann Marie’s brilliance in songwriting is a feature throughout the project but especially so on the emotional “Touch Me” and “Decline” which features fellow Chicago artist Sonta.

bülow Releases “Get Stupid” Music Video

Award winning and multi-platinum pop iconoclast bülow has released a music video for her new single, “Get Stupid,” today via Wax Records /Republic Records/Universal Music Canada.

Watch the video for “Get Stupid” HERE.

The track is off the JUNO Award winner’s latest EP Crystalline released earlier this year and was produced by Mike Wise, who produced several songs on the EP. When discussing the accompanying video for the song whose concept was envisioned by the singer herself, bülow commented, “When I was younger, I wanted to be an inventor, to create things. I think everybody strives for the feeling of self importance, trying to find their ways to be remembered. My character created a flying device, it didn’t work out, but that wasn’t the end.”

The German-born Toronto-based artist, who made a name for herself with the smash hit, “Not A Love Song,” is set to take the stage at multiple festivals this summer including the iconic Lollapalooza in Chicago and Osheaga in Montreal, Canada. This summer’s festival run follows bülow’s SXSW,  Bonnaroo and Bunbury Music Festival debuts earlier this year. In addition to finding success through her own musical endeavors bülow appears on the GRAMMY Award winning duo The Chainsmokers latest single, “Do You Mean,” and performed the track on The Today Show in New York City’s famed Rockefeller Plaza in June of this year. And while bülow’s summer is packed with festival performances, the singer-songwriter has no plans of stopping as she’ll be re-joining Lauv’s tour this fall after supporting the singers tour dates in Asia earlier this year.

In an era where there seems to be a side-story of viral fame or leveraging online connections to rise to the top, 18-year-old high school student Bernard Jabs has carved his budding career out from pure authenticity. In Bernard Jabs’ first uploaded track, Gotta Get It, there is the obvious sound of his younger teenage voice, but within that sound is also the raw skill Bernard holds. His ability to channel the charisma of the music he grew up on and blend it with more current rap trends keeps Bernard circulating as one of the brightest new talents of a generation.

Growing up in Tifton, Georgia during part of the height of Southern rap, Bernard gravitated towards the star power of Lil Wayne. After seeing Wayne in the music video for “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy,” Bernard was entranced in the lifestyle – the cars, the girls, the money, the confidence. Bernard Jabs took to the culture surrounding southern rap and used that history to guide him towards the future.
