Billy Raffoul Live In June EP

Singer/songwriter Billy Raffoul releases Live In June EP  today, August 23, on Interscope Records.  Live In June was recorded during Raffoul’s spring 2019 club tour opening for Parachute. The set captures Raffoul’s stripped-down performance aesthetic featuring only Raffoul with his guitar and voice.  Live In June features the newly released song “Easy Tiger” as well as fan favorites “Lovely” and “Acoustic” and is available at all digital retailers now.  

“Playing live for an audience has always been the most important thing to me so I am happy to share five live versions of previously released songs with you all,” says Raffoul.   “In between these songs I am trying my hand at comedy… in the event that this music thing doesn’t work out.”

Growing up in the small farming town of Leamington, Ontario, Raffoul first started writing songs at age 10, thanks in no small part to the influence of his father—a musician who’s opened for everyone from Joe Cocker to Bon Jovi. After landing his first paying gig—playing to long-haul drivers at a local truck stop—Raffoul began playing at nearby bars and clubs at age 16, often driving into Detroit for shows. He eventually connected with a manager and moved down to Nashville to push forward with his music career. Soon after scoring a deal with Interscope Records, Raffoul released the critically hailed song “Driver” and followed that with his debut EP 1975 in June 2018 which featured the fan favorite “Acoustic.”

Critical praise followed with NPR raving, “Billy Raffoul has stepped into the spotlight.” Over the past few years, Raffoul has opened for heavyweight artists like, Kings of Leon, X Ambassadors, NEEDTOBREATHE and Kaleo, captivating crowds with his understated yet intensely passionate stage presence.

 

BANKS shares “Contaminated” video

BANKS shares the lyric video for the haunting track “Contaminated.” View it HERE.

The track is featured on BANKS’ third album, III, which debuted to widespread critical acclaim last month. Zane Lowe first debuted the song as a World First on Apple Music’s Beats 1. BANKS recorded “Contaminated” in Los Angeles, collaborating with producer BJ Burton (Bon Iver, Francis and the Lights). Rolling Stone called the track “infectious” while Billboard noted “‘Contaminated,’…a heavy synth-based melody juxtaposed by the songstress’ signature airy vocals to detail the draining and heartbreaking process of being with someone not healthy for you.”

“‘Contaminated’ is about being addicted to a toxic relationship. The more you give, the less of yourself you become,” says BANKS. BANKS further discusses III in feature articles running in TIME Magazine, Harper’s BAZAAR, Vanity Fair, V Magazine and elsewhere. III is her highest-charting album to date on Billboard’s Top Album Sales tally, debuting at No. 3. Anuel AA and Ozuna “Adicto”

Latin GRAMMY© winning producer Tainy taps Latin trap rapper Anuel AA, and reggaetonero Ozuna for his latest single, “Adicto” out now on Interscope Records/ Neon 16. “Adicto” was featured as Zane Lowe’s World Record today on Apple Music’s Beats 1 and is available now at all  digital retailers

The Zak Facts directed video comes just in time for cuffing season, highlighting the trios trysts with love. Coming out swinging as a solo artist, Tainy powers back-to-back hits such as, “Callaita,” with Bad Bunny, and “I Can’t Get Enough” with benny blanco, Selena Gomez, and J. “Adicto” is the latest single off of Tainy’s upcoming solo project under NEON16 — his multifaceted label recently co-founded with renowned music exec, and former EVP at Roc Nation Records, Lex Borrero. And with the outro, “Bebe yo soy adicto a tu piel/ Yo trato de explicarte y tu no quieres entender,” Tainy, Ozuna, and Anuel AA leave their “Adicto” viewers wondering if the thing they love most is what they are better off without.

5 Seconds of Summer “Teeth”

“Teeth,” the explosive new single from 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS), was released today by Interscope Records. Produced by Andrew Watt and Louis Bell, the track ventures deeper into the dark sonic territory that 5SOS explored on their summer hit, “Easier.” “Teeth” features the legendary Tom Morello soloing on guitar throughout the track. The official video for “Teeth” was helmed by French director Thibaut Duverneix (Elton John, Tierra Whack). In the clip, 5SOS become subjects in a consciousness-altering experiment that triggers harrowing hallucinations. “’Teeth’ came about after a month or two long blur of writing and pushing ourselves to go a step further than Youngblood,” says lead vocalist Luke Hemmings. “It was a tumultuous time in my life and the lyrics in the song definitely reflect that. It speaks lyrically about a trying time in my current relationship. Musically it’s another step forward from ‘Easier’ and really embraces industrial sounds and rhythms.

Collaborating with Ryan Tedder was incredible as was Andrew Watt, Ali Tamposi & Lou Bell. ‘Teeth’ captures the soul of 5 Seconds of Summer and I truly believe it is a unique song to us as a band and doesn’t sound like anything out at the moment. It’s my favorite song we’ve released ever and I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

Last week Arin Ray and Kehlani impressed R&B listeners with their tantalizing collaboration “Change”. Now, the pair has teamed up to create a nostalgic and sultry visual to accompany the track. Arin is particularly excited about this video, noting in his recent interview with Billboard, “I’ve had some dope videos in the past, but this one, as far as creativity and doing things differently, this is the one.”

This December, GRAMMY Award-winning entertainment icon Dwight Yoakam will make his Wynn Las Vegas debut with a six-night residency, An Evening with Dwight Yoakam & The Bakersfield Beat, at the Encore Theater. Guests can expect to take a journey with songs, sights, and stories through California country music’s dramatic arrival and lasting impact on American pop music culture Wednesday, Dec. 4 – Saturday, Dec. 14. MTV today announced that Big Sean featuring A$AP Ferg, H.E.R., Normani and Ozuna have been added to the lineup of performers at the 2019 MTV VMAs, airing live globally from Newark, N.J. on Monday, August 26 at 8:00 p.m.ET/PT.
 
Hosted by comedian, actor and best-selling author Sebastian Maniscalco, the show will air live from the Prudential Center across MTV’s global footprint in more than 180 countries, reaching more than half a billion households around the world. Jeezy Releases Tracklist for “TM 104”

Fifteen years after Grammy®-nominated multi-platinum rap superstar JEEZY signed with Def Jam Recordings, and emerged from Atlanta as the singular pioneer of what would become hip-hop’s dominant trap genre with his trio of Thug Motivation albums, he has announced this week via Twitter and Billboard magazine that TM 104: THE LEGEND OF THE SNOWMAN, arriving in stores August 23rd via Def Jam Recordings, will be the final album of the career-spanning series.

To mark this historic milestone, JEEZY will host the JEEZY Unplugged -TM 104 All White Concert in Atlanta at the Coca-Cola Roxy. Thusfar, Jeezy has dropped two scorching tacks from the album, “1 Time” and “MLK BLVD” feat. Meek Mill. Today, Jeezy announces the star-studded tracklist to the final installment of the legendary series, featuring guest spots from John Legend, CeeLo Green, Rick Ross, Gunna and many more.
