Lenny Kravitz Partners with Ray-Ban for Limited Edition Eyewear

Fresh off the release of his latest single, “Human,” Lenny Kravitz is once again captivating audiences with his multifaceted talents. As fans eagerly anticipate the arrival of his forthcoming album, Blue Electric Light, Kravitz surprised the fashion world with a thrilling new partnership: a collaboration with eyewear leader Ray-Ban for a limited edition collection. This merged the brand’s most iconic designs with Kravitz’s signature fashion sense.

Below, we take a closer look at this collaboration and discuss what this partnership means for Kravitz’s future endeavors.

Lenny Kravitz and Ray-Ban

An industry pioneer with decades of prestige under its belt, Ray-Ban is considered among the most recognizable designer eyewear brands. Today, they are available through physical outlets and online platforms, including EyeBuyDirect, through which fans can find their latest styles for optic and sun protection. Aside from their high-quality builds, Ray-Ban has consistently proven that they are the leader in innovation. Just recently, in 2023, they did this with the launch of their Reverse collection, which is characterized by its inside-out design. This literally flips the traditional lens curvature paradigm on its head by curving inward towards the wearer’s eye for a universally flattering look.

This experimental design concept has been seamlessly integrated into classic Aviators and Wayfarers. However, the most exciting development in the Reverse collection is undoubtedly the recent Kravitz collaboration, launched in March 2024. These limited edition shades come in gold, silver, and black, with each pair etched with Kravitz’s signature. This adds an extra layer of exclusivity for fans and music enthusiasts, making the sunglasses an essential addition to any collection.

In a statement with Ray-Ban, Kravitz expressed how the collaboration is “about breaking boundaries, embracing individuality, and seeing the world from a new perspective through those innovative lenses.” Considering that Ray-Bans are among the most popular sunglasses for men, it’s unsurprising that the “TK241” singer has been a longtime fan of the brand. Across the globe, Ray-Ban is recognized for its timeless aesthetic, perfect for those who want to make an effortless style statement. This is aligned with Kravitz’s own approach to fashion, which is unique without trying too hard. Over the years, Kravitz has consistently showcased his affinity for Ray-Ban eyewear, from his much-talked-about oversized scarf moment that broke the internet in 2012 to his recent Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony.

Looking ahead

As Kravitz continues to redefine the boundaries of style, he is solidifying his status as an established fashion house collaborator. Apart from his eyewear venture, Kravitz has also made waves as the face of “Y,” which is YSL’s men’s eau de parfum. This marks Kravitz’s third campaign as the brand’s enduring ambassador. Described by the artist as sensual, intense, and powerful, the perfume reflects YSL’s spirit, which Kravitz claims he’s been a fan of since his youth. In a separate interview with V Magazine, the multifaceted talent expressed how he’s honored to continue his relationships with brands that understand what he stands for.

Beyond his official endorsements, Kravitz’s personal style has long been a source of inspiration for fans and fellow artists alike. In 2021, Kravitz hinted at the possibility of his fashion choices influencing younger artists like Harry Styles. Here, Kravitz recognizes the potential ripple effect his fashion choices may have on emerging talents seeking to carve out their own unique aesthetic. With his new Ray-Ban collaboration, it’s likely that we’ll see more young artists taking to fashion-focused partnerships during their musical launches, too.

As Kravitz continues to redefine the intersection of music and fashion, his collaboration with Ray-Ban serves as a testament to his enduring influence and creative vision. For more on lifestyle and fashion, check out our other articles on 360 Magazine.

RISING RAP STAR ZAUNTEE

Zauntee is a new age rapper from Tampa. His authenticity and transparency transcend. Like many young hip-hop griots, he talks about his battles with being bullied in high school. Despite the criticism, he persevered. He started his music journey in his bedroom after receiving a computer bundled with logic pro software from his parents.

As a determined teen, he started making records that relentlessly resembled his upbringing. In 2017, after recording a song that struck a chord with the internet, WORK HARD GOD FIRST, he instantly became a music phenomenon. After rejecting almost 6 to 7 major record labels, he decided to sign with Atlantic Records.

Despite his realization that his major label deal is a stepping stone, he’s only just starting. Following a trip to Los Angeles, he aims to promote his music. His main motivation is not to become famous, unlike many in his position. In fact, he speaks about the possibility of bringing his sold-out arena tour to life and the opportunity to one day provide a microphone to amplify other acts in the industry.

Zauntee is a Phoenix with a heart of gold who is ready to rise to the occasion. He is both extremely hopeful and destined to convey a positive message to all the underdogs who are experiencing strife. Considering that this young icon is socially conscious, intelligent, and not afraid to uplift a stream of young people who are being drowned by the old guard’s antics. This human deserves recognition for standing up against the tide of naysayers and nonbelievers, with a strong conviction (particularly in God) that all things are possible.

Gucci Women’s FW24

Gucci views things from a perspective different from what is presumed most appropriate, not following the rules.

This is my way of dreaming, without hurry, visualizing and stratifying aspirations as if they were the bricks of a house. In my fashion, as in my dreams, the exercise is the same. Search within the folds for a void that wants to be filled. Look at the detail very closely before feeling free to back away in pursuit of a broader perspective. Capture the extraordinary where the ordinary is expected.

My dreams, as with my fashion, always converse with reality. Because I am not searching for another world to live in, but rather of ways to live in this world.

Sabato Movements

Making a coat is an act of craftsmanship, symbolic of a culture of exceptional technique. It begins with the construction, proceeding with the lining and the interior, moving between how the fabric falls, how it moves when it is worn, how its color changes if the wool is mixed with more modern fibers. Every act represents a meticulous journey in which each gesture can change the final result. The Fall Winter 2024 collection is an obsessive repetition of that journey, a staging of small subversive acts with regards to the rules of ready-to-wear.

Outerwear

The main coat, in fabric and with a masculine silhouette, has a covered placket and hidden buttoning on the back, which transforms it into an embrace. The same can be found on bombers, peacoats, and leather jackets.

Details

Lace, cut, and reconstructed is embellished with embroideries, other laces, or velvets. Shifts are a combination of overlapping layers, held together by laces. Jacquard prints depict a geometric heron, recognizable only up close. Knitwear is enriched by transparent or slightly off-tone sequins or with a crystal fringe that recreates a ribbed motif. Twin sets aren’t twin sets but distinctive pieces. The colors – the ugly ones, the ones of the heart, and the wrong ones, together.

Handbags

A new top handle bag with a flat and perforated logo that reveals what lies beneath, crafted in nappa with a naturally silky feel and paired with a layer that renders it light and puffy, called GG Milano. Then, a half-moon silhouette inspired by the equestrian motifs found in the Gucci Archive, infused with a contemporary spirit, is also decorated with a new logo. A clutch embellished and held together with a gold-toned metal bar that replicates the iconic bamboo. Finally, a bamboo bucket bag with a broad and embracing silhouette.

Shoes

Horse-riding boots, the symbol par excellence of the connection between Gucci and the world of equestrianism, whose classic silhouette features an elongated metal Horsebit. Also, in a unique over-the-knee version. The Horsebit loafers, which evolve in a platform sandal encapsulated by refined craftsmanship.

Small accessories

An archival necklace in galvanized gold and with a studded motif is woven with a ribbon in the shade of the garment closest to the neck. Cat-eye acetate sunglasses follow the same palette.

POST MALONE + SWAE LEE

Reaching rarified air yet again, Post Malone has just made history once more as his seminal smash Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse)” with GRAMMY Award-nominated artist and songwriter Swae Lee, becomes “the first-ever single to be certified ‘Double-Diamond’ by the RIAA. The track notably holds the most certifications of all-time, going 20x Platinum. It also continues a monumental hot streak for the GRAMMY® Award-nominated, 8x RIAA Diamond-certified artist and recent recipient of the Songwriters Hall of Fame “Hal Davis Starlight Award.” Earlier this year, he officially earned the most RIAA Diamond Certified Singles” for any artist, ever.

Post will perform next ahead of Super Bowl LVIII on February 11th, taking on the duty of singing ‘America the Beautiful‘ before kick off.

In the summer, he released his acclaimed fifth full-length album, AUSTIN. It bowed at #2 on the Billboard 200, his fifth consecutive Top 5 album on the chart since 2016. Beyond the 20x Platinum “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse)” he now has 8 RIAA Diamond-certified records, those of which include “White Iverson,” “Congratulations (feat. Quavo),“I Fall Apart,“rockstar (feat. 21 Savage),” “Psycho (feat. Ty Dolla $ign),” “Better Now,” and “Circles.

“Post Malone and Swae Lee have officially raised the bar on what creative partnerships and infectious collaborations have the power to accomplish. ‘Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)’ has now been streamed or downloaded more than 20 million times in the U.S. alone, and they’ve earned the custom hardware to prove it.

Congratulations, Post, Swae Lee and Mercury/Republic Records, for making history with the very first 2x Diamond single!” – RIAA Chairman & CEO Mitch Glazier

GUCCI ANCORA

FALL WINTER 2024-5 MEN’S COLLECTION

Fonderia Carlo Macchi, Milan

It’s a story of joy of life, of passion, of humanity, of people, of real life, of irreverent glamour, of provocation, of confidence, of simplicity, of immediate feelings and emotions, of a specific type of art, of words – words in artworks, words in pictures, words in spaces, just words. A story of richness and lust/desire, of red but also blue and green, of flash, of spontaneity, of light, of a party at the first light of day, it’s an unhidden story, one that’s proud, it is manifest and not taboo although it might look like it should be, it is completely free and filled with euphoria. It is a story of fabulous, diverse people; it’s Getty images of cool people of all ages, and it’s inclusive as in everyone is welcomed. It’s a story of movies, of my beloved Italy, of intellectuals and travels around the world but still feeling at home wherever you are. A story of objects – shiny, tactile, and cold to the touch but warm to the heart and soul, these are desirable to collect, not for a museum but to enrich everyday life. It’s a story of music and nights out of sweat, dancing, and singing. It’s a story of family, of kissing, lots and lots of kisses. It’s a story of everything, again, but this time expressed through joy.

EYEDRESS AND THE MARÍAS RELEASE TRIPPY MUSIC VIDEO FOR “SEPARATE WAYS” via 360 MAGAZINE.

Eyedress + The Marias

After releasing their collaborative single to critical acclaim, alt singer-songwriter and producer Eyedress and Grammy-nominated band The Marías release the music video for “Separate Ways,” out now via RCA Records.

Directed and animated by PRTND Studios, the claymation visual finds Eyedress and The Marías up against an alien abduction. When Eyedress and The Marías’ lead singer María Zardoya go missing, it’s up to Eyedress’ family to travel to space to rescue them.

After releasing “Separate Ways” last month, the song received praise from Remezcla, Stereogum, BrooklynVegan, Numero Magazine, and more. The first of two joint singles from the duo, Eyedress and The Marías are set to release their next single later this month.

About Eyedress

Born in Manila and now residing in Los Angeles, Filipino artist Eyedress has continued to make a name for himself over the past decade, blending a wide array of genres from lo-fi hip-hop to post-punk to ‘80s-influenced goth and more to craft something that is distinctly and wholly his own. He certified himself as an artist to watch when his 2019 single “Jealous” hit viral status, appearing in over one million videos on TikTok and earning an RIAA platinum certification. He followed suit with “Romantic Lover” the following year and “Something About You” in 2021, both of which have also gone platinum. Last year, Eyedress made his Coachella debut and released his latest full-length project FULL TIME LOVER, which featured collaborations from N.E.R.D.’s Chad Hugo, Nosaj Thing, The Drums, and more, including his partner, Elvia. The acclaimed record earned an official remix treatment from Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine, who put his own spin on the album’s track “HOUSE OF CARDS.”

About The Marías

The Marías are the Grammy-nominated psychedelic-soul lovechild of Puerto Rican-bred, Atlanta-raised María Zardoya and Los Angeles native, Josh Conway. The two are joined by their closest friends, Jesse Perlman on guitar and Edward James on keys. Their undeniably intuitive musical chemistry can be heard in the band’s smooth rendezvous of jazz percussion, hypnotic guitar riffs, smoke-velvet vocals and nostalgic horn solos. There’s something undeniably sensual in their dreamlike fusion of jazz, psychedelia, funk and lounge. Since the release of their debut album, Cinema, The Marías have earned the reputation behind their impressive upward trajectory, including two Grammy nominations, a Billboard chart-topper and collaborations with some of the biggest names in Latin music, including Bad Bunny and Tainy.
