S P I L L A G E  V I L L A G E RELEASE NEW TRACK AND VIDEO “END OF DAZE” WATCH NOW!

Supergroup Spillage Village has today released brand new track and video “End of Daze” — a sombre yet poignant song that ends on a hopeful tone — which fans have been long awaiting for. The crew composed of J.I.D, EarthGang, 6lack, Mereba, Jurdan Bryant, Hollywood JB and Benji. recorded the song during (and largely as a solace for) the pandemic, and yet seems to still ring true during a civil rights uprising.

The track features the vocals from J.I.D, EarthGang, Mereba, Jordan Bryant and Hollywood JB and was co-produced by Christo (Revenge of the Dreamers III, J.I.D), Elite, Mike Dean (Beyonce, Nas, Kanye West, Travis Scott), Jay Card, Nice Rec and Olu (of EarthGang). They say it takes a village to raise a child and Spillage Village aims to borrow from this adage to inspire stories aimed at rebuilding and revolutionizing our communities for the future.

About Spillage Village:

Born out of block parties, college dorm rooms and late night house sessions, Spillage Village was founded by Atlanta duo EarthGang and rapper J.I.D and were then joined by producer Hollywood JB and artist Jurdan Bryant.

The quintet released their first collaborative project, Bears Like This (2014) to a warm reception gathering a groundswell of support from peers. Soon after, singer Mereba and rapper 6lack joined the group and released their second critically acclaimed effort, Bears Like This Too (2015) with press dubbing it “a definitive statement from one of Atlanta’s most musically vibrant posses”(VICE/Noisey).

Keeping its momentum, the following year Spillage Village made waves again with Bears Like This Too Much (2016). The EP would be a turning point for many of the artists in the group whose solo careers began to take off, 6lack’s debuted his Free 6lack project (Interscope, 2016) and EarthGang and J.I.D signed to Dreamville Records (Interscope).

Olu from EarthGang would say that the three “Bear” EPs acted like “checkpoints and markers in time” chronicling the rise of the musical mavericks. Almost four years later, sold out international tours, Grammy nominations and individual projects, Spillage Village is back to deliver soul serving music.

Chronixx – Same Prayer

Chronixx provides a pillar of strength and hope on “Same Prayer,” a benediction that carries a universal message throughout life’s ups and downs. Fellow Jamaican lyricist Kabaka Pyramid complements the song with a verse echoing his sentiment. Following “Dela Move,” “Same Prayer” is the second reveal from Chronixx’s upcoming sophomore album Dela Splash, which is slated for release later this year. The Zion I Kings produced track is available today (June 11) via Soul Circle Music and will feature an accompanying visual next week.

The song rings true with today’s tumultuous times, “There’s so much good in the world and still evil a lurk. In the darkness a night, Jah protect I and I from the ones who nuh care about the fact that we share the same air and the blood that we bleed is alike,” Chronixx laments in the third verse. The powerful message follows in the chorus, “and when I troddin in the streets today, please Jah Jah never leave my side. And everyday the same prayer I say and I’m saying it one more time. Trodding in the streets I pray Jah Jah beg yuh please, never lef I an I, oh never leave I an I.”

Chronixx explains, “Same Prayer is, in part, a prayer for the younger generation to reflect on internally. It’s also a reminder that there is a greater power directing things in the physical space. Instead of looking for solutions in our material lives, we can both reach out to this higher power and look deep within ourselves.”

Orville Peck Postponed “Show Pony”

Orville Peck has postponed the June 12th release date of his EP “Show Pony” and he will now release “Show Pony” at a later date in July.

“Hey gang, I know it’s only two days away but I’ve decided to push the release of my new EP ‘Show Pony’ to July. We’re undergoing a huge overdue worldwide transformation thanks to the Black Lives Matter movement and that is mainly what I want to put my focus on at the moment. The momentum is currently so strong, and it needs to keep going in order to dismantle the injustices of oppression, so if your voice hasn’t been heard yet just use it, or walk out and hear the protesters, and if you’re scared, tell them Orville sent you! Last week, thanks to the help of some lovely people we raised close to $37k, and this week I’ll be performing a little surprise from the EP at @wynwoodpride where we’re hoping to raise $100k. Lots of great performers, so if you guys like what you see, remember to tip- and y’all, even if you can’t tip, watching to actively educate yourself is also a win for everyone. Love you all for being kind people and I can’t wait for you to hear the album – but let’s use this month to get our shit in order because this is only the start of the marathon for equality.” – Orville Peck

Please note artwork, tracklist, etc. remains the same; the only change is that the EP will be released at a later date.

The Dalai Lama – Inner World

It has been announced that Khandro Music will release a unique album of mantras and teachings by The Dalai Lama set to music, entitled Inner World. Released to honor his 85th birthday celebrations on July 6th, 2020, the album will be a dedication to the decades of his vision and work for world peace and educating the heart.

Inner World is an offering of the Dalai Lama reciting mantras and giving short teachings all woven to a bed of music. The album will be released in conjunction with a companion booklet, revealing the benefits of the mantras written by Venerable Robina Courtin, and exclusive artwork; a collaboration between the acclaimed New Zealand duo of Ella Brewer (classically trained Thanka Painter) and Tiffany Singh (an award-winning visual artist).

“Music has the potential to reach many more people with the message that the real source of happiness is warm-heartedness and a concern for others” The Dalai Lama said. When asked why he accepted the request to make the album, he answered, “The very purpose of my life is to serve as much as I can. Music can help people in a way that I can’t.”

On top of the album announcement, “Compassion,” the first track from the album, was released today. “Compassion” sets the tone of the album by cultivating love and empathy for ourselves and all beings. Reciting the mantra of the Buddha of Compassion (known in Tibetan as Chenrezig and in Sanskrit as Avalokiteshvara) is said to open our hearts and bring us closer to others, to feel love and compassion through wisdom, generating a desire to help.

The road to the release of Inner World began in 2015, when one of the project’s co-executive producers and a longtime student of The Dalai Lama, Junelle Kunin, wrote to him requesting his participation, by fervently explaining her feelings that an album by such a compassionate and wise being would help people particularly who struggle with emotional stress. After reading her letter, his response was enthusiastic, saying, “This will benefit many people!”. She and her husband Abraham Kunin, both from New Zealand, spent the next five years working with a small team to bring the project to life.

The Dalai Lama’s recordings have been thread through music composed by Abraham and performed on thirty-plus instruments by himself and a cast of collaborators from around the world, including a special guest performance from Anoushka Shankar on “Ama La.” The composer integrated the live performances with artful programming and production, building a peaceful bedrock for these sacred offerings.

Net proceeds from the sales of Inner World will go to The Gaden Phodrang Foundation of the Dalai Lama (Switzerland) chosen program: Social, Emotional and Ethical Learning (SEE Learning), an international K-12 education program and part of an academic collaboration between Emory University and His Holiness; and Mind and Life Institute, which brings science & contemplative wisdom together to better understand the mind & create positive change in the world.

R3hab × Tini & Reik

R3HAB explores uncharted sonic territory on “Bésame (I Need You),” his sultry new collaboration with singer/actress TINI and Latin GRAMMY-winning Latin Pop trio Reik. We quickly find out what happens when three powerhouses of this magnitude come together, as the track subtly fuses exquisite elements of each one’s signature sound. R3HAB delivers his deep, driving drum bass lines that serve as the backbone of the song, asking listeners to get up and dance, while Reik’s influence plays with Latin-infused melodies that give “Bésame (I Need You)” exotic appeal. Platinum-certified TINI and Reik come together for a female/male vocal group, evoking images of a balmy and enthralling night out dancing. The single and video are out now on Hollywood Records and follow R3HAB’s releases “Feel Alive” for the “SCOOB!” movie’s soundtrack as well as “Be Okay” with HRVY.

“Right after we started working on the song, it was clear what the sound of the track will be like. Tini & Reik brought the perfect energy, which you can hear throughout the entire song. “Besame (I Need You)” is being released right in time to provide these necessary summer vibes to our fans.” – R3HAB

“I am so excited to work with Reik and Rehab. I find it very interesting to explore new musical styles, and Bésame definitely has a special sound, distinctive from other songs. I feel very honored to collaborate with these two great artists.” – TINI

“We love the song. It’s super energetic, it makes one dance and have fun all the time. It’s one of those songs that you really just wanna jump to. Looking back, we remember meeting TINI at a concert in Argentina when she was 15, or so. It’s crazy now having the song together with her. About R3HAB, we just recently met him, and we love what he does. He already remixed our earlier single “Si Me Dices Que Si,” and it blew our mind, as he took the song to another dimension. Collaborating with R3HAB again is awesome” – Reik

Over the last eight years, the Dutch/Moroccan artist Fadil El Ghoul – better known as R3HAB – has established himself as a leader at the forefront of modern electronic music. His talent has been called the “future of the craft” by the likes of Forbes and Billboard, and he’s circuited the globe’s best clubs and festivals, all without the backing of a formal record label. In 2017, R3HAB independently released his debut album “Trouble” through his imprint CYB3RPVNK, which amassed over a half-billion streams globally and officially placed R3HAB among electronic music’s heavy hitters. He made number 14 on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list in 2019, topping the charts with tracks like “Lullaby” and “Hold On Tight,” while his sophomore album “The Wave,” revealing more complex, emotional and experimental layers of himself, has amassed over 250 million streams on Spotify alone. In 2019 R3HAB’s “All Around The World”’ with A Touch of Class quickly became his biggest ever record already topping 200M streams across platforms and achieving gold & platinum status in 8 countries. It was followed by “Flames,” R3HAB’s collaboration with ZAYN.

Since her 2016 debut album, TINI has become a global phenomenon, with a social following of 24 million and 3 billion combined audio and video streams. TINI toured Europe and Latin America on her headline “Quiero Volver” tour in 2019/2020, including 9 sold-out Luna Park shows in Buenos Aires. TINI’s most recent releases include “Recuerdo” (99 million combined streams), “Oye” (301 million combined streams), Gold-certified “Fresa” (379 million streams), and Platinum-certified “22” (365 million combined streams.) TINI has had numerous collaborations with fellow A-list artists, including Sebastian Yatra, Karol G, Morat, Greeicy, Cali y El Dandee, Mau & Ricky, Alesso, Jonas Blue, Alvaro Soler, Ovy on the Drums, Nacho and The Vamps. TINI will also be joining Alejandro Sanz as a judge on the upcoming season of THE VOICE (La Voz) in Spain, airing later this year.   Multi-platinum and award-winning group Reik is made up of band members Jesus Navarro (vocals), Julio Ramirez (acoustic guitar), and Bibi Marin (electric guitar). Spotlight – Don Benjamin

Multi-talented Don Benjamin transitions from modeling to music

→ Los Angeles, California June 2020 – After a successful modeling career and placing in the top three of hit modeling competition show, America’s Next Top Model (ANTM), Don Benjamin takes aim at the music industry.

Benjamin’s music isn’t the traditional mainstream rap we’re used to hearing. He hopes his music influences our society in a positive way. “I’m a fan of Drake and J Cole. Lately, I’ve been listening to more gospel rap, artists like Bizzle, Eshon Burgundy, and Lecrae [noted Christian rappers]. Music lately feels so negative. It’s all about doing drugs and degrading women. I need something that is gonna feed my spirit and motivate me to be a better person,”

Don Benjamin on distinguishing himself from the direction of current mainstream rap artists:  “I don’t feel like much rap nowadays spreads positivity. Most songs that take off aren’t really saying much of anything. I want to spread a good message.”

During this time of unrest, Benjamin has taken a stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and joined the music industries Blackout Tuesday. Other celebrities, including Beyoncé have used their social media platforms to demand justice for George Floyd and encourage their followers to take action.

→ YaVe Tequila by Joe Cruz – Motivated by his passion for family and community, Joe Cruz creates YaVe Tequila. After many attempts to get the right formulation and an incredible shift to a team of female chemists, the world’s first naturally flavored tequila was born. Although this tequila was introduced shortly before a world-wide pandemic hit and YaVe’s original plan of having a large presence in bars is impossible, they’ve managed to grow their online presence with partnerships and influencers. YaVe has angled themselves as an essential for a stay at home happy hour.

→ Michael B. Jordan × BODYARMOR –  BODYARMOR’s largest campaign to date, voiced-over by award winning actor Michael B. Jordan, is rooted in the belief that no matter who you are, only you can make you better.
