JUSTIN BIEBER – YUMMY

Grammy-winning global superstar Justin Bieber delivers a Christmas Eve gift to his fans today with the announcement of his brand new single “Yummy” arriving on Friday, January 3rd, the first advance track from his forthcoming 2020 studio album. Today, in a special Super Trailer, Justin also announces a slate of 2020 tour dates across North America, launching in Seattle on May 14th. (Tour dates below)

Over the course of his career, Bieber has amassed more 50 billion streams and more than 60 million album equivalents worldwide. Justin’s Grammy-winning 2015 album PURPOSE has sold over 21 million copies worldwide.

As he looks ahead to the 2020 arrival of his 5th studio album, Bieber is once again ruling the airwaves and dominating the charts, as his recent collaboration with Ed Sheeran “I Don’t Care” hit #1 in 26 countries worldwide, Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” – with a little help from a Bieber remix – reached #1 in the US, and “10,000 Hours” with Dan + Shay became the highest charting debut for a country song in the history of the Billboard Hot 100.

In 2017, the Justin-led global smash “Despacito Remix” broke streaming records and became the most-viewed video of all time. Justin made chart history with “Despacito” and the DJ Khaled-collaboration “I’m The One” as the first artist ever to tally new No. 1s on the Hot 100 in consecutive weeks, Bieber’s fourth and fifth No. 1 singles.

Purpose debuted at #1 in over 100 countries around the world, and garnered a 2016 Grammy nomination for Album Of The Year. Purpose shattered global streaming records and yielded three consecutive #1 singles in the US – “What Do You Mean,” “Sorry,” and “Love Yourself,” which received a Grammy nomination for Record Of The Year. In late 2015, all three tracks landed at #1, #2 and #3 on the UK singles chart, surpassing a record previously held by the Beatles and making Justin the first artist ever to accomplish such a feat. In February 2016, Justin won his first Grammy: Best Dance Song for the Purpose track “Where Are You Now.”

Justin Bieber, whose career launched in 2009, with the RIAA 5x-platinum worldwide hit “One Time,” is the first artist to reach over 10 billion views on VEVO. In 2014, he was ranked by Twitter as the #1 most tweeted about musical artist of the year. He has released five #1 albums to-date, and has starred in two films: Never Say Never (2011) and Believe (2013). In 2011, he was nominated for the Best New Artist Grammy. In 2013, Justin received the RIAA Diamond award in recognition of his 2010 single “Baby” (12x-platinum in the U.S. alone) as the best-selling digital single of all-time.

Louis The Child

Chicago-bred production duo Louis The Child have shared a brilliantly left-field new single called “Here Comes a Feeling,” with Naomi Wild and London-based musician Couros. Released via Interscope Records and available through all digital retailers, “Here Comes a Feeling” marks the start of an artistically adventurous new era for L.A.-based musicians/producers Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett.

Listen to “Here Comes a Feeling” by Louis The Child with Naomi Wild & Couros HERE.

Featuring a mesmerizing vocal performance from Naomi Wild —an L.A.-based singer/songwriter known for her work with Odesza (“Higher Ground”) and Machine Gun Kelley (“Glass House”) — “Here Comes a Feeling” finds Louis The Child redefining the boundaries of dance music and evolving into entirely new sonic terrain. With its expansive palette and experimental sound design, the track hints at the major cultural shifts in store for the duo in 2020.

Says Louis The Child, “We started this beat with Couros on a day off in London. We had never met before but ended up staying at the studio until 6am working on this and a few other beats. When we left the studio we were super happy with what we made, it felt experimental and like controlled chaos. When we got back to LA we hopped in the studio with Naomi Wild and Blaise Railey. We played them that beat and they immediately wanted to write something to it. It’s one of our favorite productions we’ve ever made, and one of our favorite songs we’ve made too. We hope you feel the same”

Last weekend, Louis The Child wrapped up their widely acclaimed Here For Now North American headlining tour. In a departure from past performances, the tour featured live production from Hauldren and Kennett, adding a whole new vitality to their set. Among the tour’s sold-out dates were three consecutive nights at New York City’s Terminal 5 and their third annual Friendsgiving show in Chicago. With more dates lined up for 2020, Louis The Child will continue to elevate their live set with the addition of their exciting new material.

About Louis The Child:

Louis The Child is a Chicago-bred production duo comprised of Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett. After landing three singles on the Hot Dance/Electronic songs chart in 2017, they delivered a series of exciting releases in 2018, including collaborations with artists like Joey Purp and Quinn XCII, as well as “Better Not” ft. Wafia — a #1 hit on the US iTunes Electronic charts, featured on their EP Kids at Play. Also in 2018, Louis The Child scored the #58 spot on the first-ever Billboard Dance 100 artist rankings, then moved up to the #46 spot on the 2019 list.

Kanye West – New Original Opera ‘MARY’

KANYE WEST TO STAGE NEW ORIGINAL OPERA ‘MARY’ THIS SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8TH IN MIAMI

DIRECTED BY VANESSA BEECROFT, NEW OPERA FOLLOWS ‘SOULFUL, SPIRITUAL’ OPERA DEBUT, NEBUCHADNEZZAR

On Sunday, December 8th, Kanye West will debut the new original opera Mary at the Miami Marine Stadium. The opera, directed by Vanessa Beecroft, follows on the heels of Nebuchadnezzar, West’s first opera, which premiered last month at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. For West, opera is a new medium through which to express his commitment to faith and his ever-expanding musical and visual palette.

Mary is an original opera, based on the biblical story of the miraculous events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ. The Books of Matthew and Luke recount the story of Mary, who was divinely chosen by God to bring forth the Messiah.

West’s Mary brings together elements from different worlds – including opera, fine art, modern dance, and gospel music – to create a new visual interpretation and innovative performance structure. Mary is performed by the Sunday Service collective, a ministry formed in January of 2019, in collaboration with Access Opera. With the Sunday Service Collective working alongside a cast of professional opera singers,Mary represents an innovative interpretation of West’s own music, gospel standards, and traditional opera alike.

LATEST ADVANCE CUT FROM EAGERLY AWAITED NEW PROJECT, THE ALBUM, SLATED FOR EARLY 2020

TEYANA PERFORMS TONIGHT AT ART BASEL MIAMI

LISTEN TO “WE GOT LOVE

Teyana Taylor – multi-hyphenate R&B superstar singer, songwriter, producer, director, dancer/choreographer, actor, fitness guru, model, mother, Harlem native – announces the release of “We Got Love,” her brand new single available today via G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Recordings. In celebration of the new single release, Teyana will be headlining her own Art Basel Miami concert series in partnership with Def Jam and Courvoisier.

Produced by Kanye West for Teyana, the track was originally slated for Teyana’s K.T.S.E. album, but was held back because of clearance issues. “I’ve always felt this was such a special record and wanted it to have the right moment,” said Teyana.”We Got Love,” is the newest advance track from the upcoming project THE ALBUM, slated to drop early 2020 and comes on the heels of Teyana’s consecutive R&B smashes “How You Want It? (HYWI?)” featuring King Combs which entered into the Top 20 on R&B charts in August and “Morning” featuring Kehlani – her biggest video release to date, amassing over 11 million views in less than a month and entering into the Top 10 on R&B Charts in November. Each video was self-directed by Teyana – aka ‘Spike Tee.’

THE ALBUM, Teyana’s official third studio album, is the long-awaited follow-up to K.T.S.E., one of the five G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam albums produced by Kanye West during his 2018 sojourn in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  Released in June 2018, K.T.S.E. (acronym for Keep That Same Energy) set off an 18-month chain reaction for Teyana, starting with its summertime Top 10 R&B smash “Gonna Love Me.”  Teyana performed “Gonna Love Me” (in a medley with “Rose In Harlem,” another K.T.S.E. track) on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Hip-hop audiences embraced the “Gonna Love Me” remix featuring Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface KillahMethod Man and Raekwon, whose video was also directed by Teyana.

K.T.S.E. spun off a hot new single and video for Teyana in early 2019, the explicit “WTP (Work This P***y).”  The video was nominated for “Best Dance Performance” at the recent 32nd annual BET Soul Train Awards. The third single from K.T.S.E. was the evocative “Issues/Hold On.” After slaying the audience with the song live on Ellen in April 2019, Teyana was surprised on-air when Ellen presented her with the RIAA gold award plaque for “Gonna Love Me,” bringing it all full circle.

DAVID STEPHEN JOHNSON, elliott Stares, 360 MAGAZINE

DAVID STEPHEN JOHNSON

Pittsburgh-born abstract painter, David Stephen Johnson’s love for the arts stretches back to the 1970s, when he shared a studio space in Chicago with a sculptor from the Chicago Art Institute. Since then, Johnson has been building his own body of work, inspired by the post-war abstract expressionists, and will be unveiling his latest series at the highly anticipated Spectrum Miami art fair to mark his inaugural appearance during Miami Art Week.

Johnson was invited to exhibit his work by Michael Joseph, founder of ARTBLEND, the acclaimed South Florida based organization and one of the longest running gallery exhibitors at Spectrum Miami. Johnson will be presenting his most recent large scale canvas works from his Blue Series and Sono Series as part of this year’s ARTBLEND collective at booth 720 within the Mana Wynwood Convention Center, from Dec. 4 to Dec. 8. This will mark Johnson’s debut and inaugural solo exhibit during Miami Art Week.

“I’m very excited to be making my debut during Miami Art Week at Spectrum Miami in collaboration with ARTBLEND — one of South Florida’s most established galleries,” said David. “Painting is like breathing to me. I am pulled in, to the work, every day. The process is a physical act. I connect to my body and to myself in a sort of visceral dance. The act of painting is unmediated by thought. It starts with a simple stroke or mark that leads to the next one in a continuous flow. Possibility and uncertainty are inherent to my practice. Always a play between anxiety, apprehension and, sometimes, when I get lucky, exhilaration. My language is color. I work with acrylic, house paint, oil, pastels, and graphite, which I apply directly on to the surface and rework with a scraper, paper, and rarely, a brush.”

David Stephen Johnson was awarded a scholarship to college as a star quarterback, playing for South Dakota State, and later earned his BA in Business Administration at the University of Minnesota, Carlton School of Business. He fostered his love for art while developing a series of paintings for his first show at Riverside Gallery in Chicago.

While raising his family, David continued a successful career in advertising in both Miami and New York for the prestigious agency Lord, Geller, Federico, Einstein. He embraced his self-taught path in painting, building a deliberately unpublished body of work studying color and shape, partly influenced by post-war abstract expressionists. His natural athleticism and grace led him toward the great action painters, which informs his style and markmaking. In 2017 he retired from the business to pursue his passion for painting. He joined The Silvermine Art Center in Connecticut, a prestigious institute for the arts created in 1908 by the sculptor Solon Borglum. Since then, David has participated in several juried shows, expanding his work to large-scale canvases. He regularly collaborates with interior design firm Wowhaus, and other Greenwich area designers, for commission-based residential and commercial projects. In 2019, David had his first solo show at Southport Galleries in Connecticut.

Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami will take place Wednesday, Dec. 4 to Sunday, Dec. 8 at Mana Wynwood. Tickets for the Opening Night Preview are priced at $50 by purchasing online or $60 at the event. A General Admission 1-day Pass for Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami is $25 by purchasing online or $30 at the event.
