Andrew Mangiapane is getting another chance to prove himself at the NHL level.
Today, the Calgary Flames announced that they have recalled the forward from their AHL affiliate, the Stockton Heat.
Mangiapane is currently playing in his third year down in Stockton. He is averaging around a point-per-game so far this season and has seven goals and seven assists in 13 games so far this season. Last season up with Calgary, he played in 10 games for them while at the AHL level, he had 21 goals and 25 assists, good for 46 points in a total of 39 games played.
The Flames will look to extend their four-game home point streak against the Los Angeles Kings tonight, while the Stockton Heat will kick off a six-game home stand against the Ontario Reign.
