Celebrating yet another milestone, six-time GRAMMY® Award-winning multiplatinum Los Angeles-based pop-rap group Black Eyed Peas release the new 20th Anniversary Edition of their classic fourth full-length LP, Monkey Business, in honor of the album’s 20th anniversary. The 20th Anniversary Edition notably collects all the album’s remixes including “Don’t Phunk With My Heart (Chicago House Remix Version),” and “Don’t Lie (Beets & Produce, NY Mix Version),” plus unreleased tracks such as “Bend Your Back,” “Shake Your Monkey” and “Make Them Hear You.” Monkey Business is also available on Ruby Red vinyl and is available to order, HERE.

Two decades ago, the pioneering collective first unveiled Monkey Business on June 7, 2005. It debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200, marking their first Top 10 entry on the respective chart. Out of five GRAMMY® Award nominations, Black Eyed Peas received “Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group” for “Don’t Phunk With My Heart” in 2006 and “Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals” for “My Humps” in 2007. In its original review, Rolling Stone hailed the record as “a series of party-starters,” and mxdwn attested, “The Peas deliver strong rhythms and engaging rhymes.” Retrospectively, The Line of Best Fit applauded how, “The boss nova style and new school hip hop that defined their early albums evolved into something more accessible on their breakout records Elephunk and Monkey Business.”
UMe celebrated the multi-Platinum success of the world-renowned The Black Eyed Peas, with a special RIAA plaque presentation at FYI Studios in Hollywood. Known for their genre-defying fusion of pop, hip-hop, and electronic music, high-energy performances, and chart-topping global anthems, the group continues to redefine the sound of a generation.
Among these awards, the 2009 epic The E.N.D. (THE ENERGY NEVER DIES) has notched a 6x-Platinum certification, also scoring a 15x-Platinum (Diamond) certification for “I Gotta Feeling,” a 10x-Platinum (Diamond) certification for “Boom Boom Pow,” a 6x-Platinum certification for “Imma Be,” and a 5x-Platinum certification for “Meet Me Halfway.” Meanwhile, Monkey Business just garnered a 5x-Platinum certification with “My Humps” going 5x-Platinum, “Pump It” going 4x-Platinum and “Don’t Phunk With My Heart” now 2x-Platinum. Finally, 2003’s Elephunk has picked up a 4x-Platinum certification with “Where Is the Love?” certified 5x-Platinum, “Let’s Get It Started” certified 4x-Platinum, and “Hey Mama” certified Platinum.
Black Eyed Peas have now eclipsed global sales of 65 million-plus, making them one of the best-selling acts in history.
