Aura SaaS

The Aura Blockchain Consortium, founded by LVMH, Prada Group, Cartier, part of Richemont, and OTB Group, is pleased to announce the launch of Aura SaaS, a game-changing cloud-based SaaS solution. The Aura Blockchain Consortium currently has more than 15 million digital tokens on their private, permission-based blockchain platform which offers both upstream and downstream traceability in the supply chain which is direct-to-consumer.

The launch of Aura SaaS is the first blockchain-based platform designed for luxury brands to help the luxury industry to embrace the blockchain in their day-to-day business operations including supply chain, customer service, marketing, manufacturing, sustainability, purchasing, logistics, and legal. Aura SaaS will allow Aura member brands to quickly and easily onboard, maximizing value focusing on the customer journey and digital innovation and allowing for both upstream and downstream traceability in the supply chain for consumers–making it one of the best direct to consumer offerings in the market.

Aura SaaS is a no-code solution that allows for a quick and hassle-free implementation. There are also lower up-front costs, as Aura SaaS users benefit from lower license and onboarding fees. The launch of Aura SaaS will make Aura more accessible to luxury brands across the globe while strengthening the industry’s response to challenges such as counterfeiting and responsible sourcing.

With Aura SaaS, brands can easily access the Aura Blockchain directly through APIs and connect them to their own IT systems and applications. Main functionalities include:

  • Smart contract generator: no coding skills needed
  • Products registered on the blockchain
  • Product events/rich content management
  • Product history
  • Product ownership acquisition & transfer

On top of the blockchain functionalities and APIs accessibility by luxury brands, Aura SaaS will offer various white-label front-end interfaces and web pages to easily write, read and display information from the Aura Blockchain–this will be fully customized to align with the UX of each brand, requiring no technical or blockchain expertise. These web pages can be also directly accessible by luxury clients. Aura SaaS helps luxury brands to address the following topics: authenticity, ownership, warranty, transparency, and traceability targeting both upstream use cases (e.g. raw material sourcing) and downstream use cases (e.g. digital certificates of ownership and authenticity certified on the Aura Blockchain, e-warranty, transfer of ownership, etc.)

Daniela Ott, Secretary General of Aura Blockchain Consortium, said of the launch: “Our ecosystem is growing on a daily basis and Aura’s solution covers the entire lifecycle of luxury production and consumption. Aura SaaS provides a game-changing toolbox for the luxury industry with an easy onboarding, minimum costs, and without the need to manage any Cloud infrastructure and deploying any instance, thus reducing the Time-to-Market to launch new blockchain use cases. This solution is meant to last and benefit the whole value chain. Given its accessible pricing, it is a solution suitable for luxury brands of any size, for most product categories within the luxury sphere.”

Alongside the Aura SaaS solution, the Aura Blockchain Consortium is also developing a suite of turnkey tools to accelerate route to market, with smaller brands in mind. These would include simple, ready-to-use front-end tools that can provide luxury consumers with a visualization of data on the blockchain. For example, brands could offer more transparency into their sustainability credentials by providing consumers with the ability to view the provenance of materials used in the manufacturing process. Such a solution is particularly attractive to brands yet to implement their own advanced front-end but keen to offer customers more insights and interactions.

Written by Michael Frizell and Patrick McCray and illustrated by Ramon Salas and Todd Tenant, this 30-page comic book is available digitally and in print and can be found on multiple platforms such as Amazon. The book will be available as a softback and hardcover book.

It says a lot about a person’s life and legacy if people think she died too soon at 99. “Tribute: Betty White” traces the extraordinary life of the actor, writer, wit, and humanitarian who has also been Hollywood’s most enduring ‘it girl’ for seven-plus decades. Tracing her life from the earliest days of television to her time on the Golden Girls and recent social media fame, the comic explores her love, drive, and enduring success. This is a bonus edition comic book biography on the life of icon Betty White.

“The Tribute line of comic books tells the stories of the classic entertainers that have passed on,” says TidalWave‘s publisher, Darren G. Davis. “It is a way for us to honor these people who have made a difference in the world.”

“In a culture where getting old is often the death knell of a Hollywood career, Betty White was as popular as ever before her death. Why? What you saw is what you got, and her wit and charm shone through.” said writer Michael Frizell.

There will also be two exclusive covers available at Comic Flea Market

TidalWave Productions has focused its biographies on past celebrities such as Carrie Fisher, Lucille Ball, David Bowie, Elizabeth Taylor, and more.

The media embraced the TRIBUTE comic line and featured on several television news outlets, including The Today Show, The View, E! News, The Tonight Show, and CNN. The series has also been featured in many publications such as Vanity Fair, MTV, Time, and Rolling Stone.

Valley Last Birthday The After Party EP Art via Capitol Music Group for use by 360 Magazine

Valley – The After Party

Following a whirlwind 2021, JUNO nominated, alternative-pop band Valley kicked off the new year with the release of a three-track EP, The After Party, out now via Capitol Records.

The After Party is released as an extension of the band’s previous EP, Last Birthday (October 2021) and as lead singer, Rob Laska notes “our most personal songs we’ve ever written as a band to date.” The three new songs mirror the upbeat energy of the previous EP, taking a more somber approach to the music and lyrics. “Last Birthday” is a standout track on this latest project which Valley worked on over the past two years and signifies the final release of the Last Birthday era. “The song really explains what we’ve been trying to put into words for a long time,” the band explains, “in a way it feels like the first song we’re singing directly to ourselves and our fans.” To illustrate the significance of “Last Birthday,” the band shared a Song Stories video explaining the process of writing and creating the new song. Watch the Song Story for “Last Birthday” HERE.

Last year was nonstop for Valley with a steady release schedule, each song capturing the feeling of relatable moments in time while being perfectly danceable. The explosive first single of 2021, “Like 1999” whose genesis traces back to a viral TikTok post that drove the band to finish the track in under 48 hours and went on to push their catalog to over 280 million global streams. The band performed “Like 1999” for the 2021 MYX Awards in the Philippines. Back at home, Valley was selected as Apple Music’s Up Next artist for Canada in September, joining the vast Up Next roster of past Canadian talent including Grammy-nominated and critically lauded talent like 6lack, Daniel Caesar, Jessie Reyez, Orville Peck, and Tate McRae.

Valley burst back into playing live last year, reconnecting with fans across North America. The band played their first American festivals over the summer and recently sold out shows with COIN on a 17-date North American tour. The band finished the year with two epic hometown shows at The Opera House in Toronto. Valley is gearing up for the ‘I’ll Be With You Tour,’ the band’s first-ever headlining tour with 30 dates across North America. The tour is almost entirely sold out with tickets and details available on Valley’s website.

About Valley

Valley, comprised of Rob Laska, Karah James, Mickey Brandolino, and Alex DiMauro, has spent the past two years developing organic buzz through a personal and intimate connection with their fans. Valley put together alternative pop with the care, adventurousness, and personal touch of a handmade burned CD. Cycling through moods like your favorite throwback Pinterest board, the Toronto quartet amplify sticky hooks through eloquent songcraft that’s cognizant of what came before, yet ready for the future. In 2016, Valley formed by accident when a local studio double booked them. During high school, Mike and Karah played in one band, while Rob and Alex played in another. They introduced themselves with self-written, self-produced releases, including the EP This Room Is White (2016), the full-length debut MAYBE (2019) and their EP sucks to see you doing better (2020). They joined Lennon Stella and The Band CAMINO on sold out tours across North America and even picked up a 2020 JUNO Award nomination in the category ofBreakthrough Group of the Year.” Most recently, the band released their latest EP Last Birthday via Capitol Records and joined COIN for a North American tour.

CFP Championship’s High Viewership

The 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship was one for the record books, as Georgia secured its first national title since 1980. The viewership of ESPN’s MegaCast presentation reflected the excitement surrounding the Alabama-Georgia showdown, with 22.6 million viewers tuning in across ESPN networks.

The Dawgs‘ thrilling 33-18 victory over the SEC Champion Crimson Tide was up 19 percent from last year’s national championship contest between Alabama and Ohio State. The matchup peaked with 25.4 million viewers.

The Circle City Showdown is the top event on cable since the 2020 LSU/Clemson national championship game and the most-viewed non-NFL sporting event during that span on any network. In fact, the top five non-NFL sports events during that time have been CFP Semifinal and Championship games.

The main ESPN telecast of Monday night’s showcase is the second-most-viewed non-NFL telecast (sports or non-sports) on a single network since February 2020. ESPN’s presentation of the action from Indianapolis is the most-watched TWDC telecast since the 2021 NFL Wild Card Game.

The share of TV viewers tuned in to this year’s CFP National Championship on ESPN networks was the best on record in the CFP era. 29 percent of people and 38 percent of adults 18-49 watching television Monday night were tuned in to the CFP National Championship.

Streaming Creates MegaCast Magic

Across all ESPN3/ESPN App exclusive feeds, streaming minutes were up 33 percent over 2020. Outside of the linear telecasts, Alabama’s Hometown Radio MegaCast was the most-streamed feed for both uniques and minutes. The Alabama and Georgia Hometown Radio MegaCast viewing options saw substantial year-over-year gains across AMA (up 75 percent), uniques (up 30 percent), minutes (up 85 percent), starts (up 20 percent), and minutes/viewer (up 35 percent).

Putting A Bow on Bowl Season

Bowl Season delivered in the 2021-22 season, with 29 of 31 non-NY6 bowls this season surpassing one million viewers. Eighteen bowls drew more than two million viewers and nine topped three million. The 31 non-NY6 bowl games registered 2.6 million viewers across ESPN networks, up 12 percent year-over-year. On ESPN, bowl games recorded 2.5 million viewers per game, up 24 percent from 2020 and slightly up from 2019. Of the 27 bowls with a viewership comparison to 2019, 10 had their best audience since at least 2017 and seven had their best since at least 2015.

Across the regular season and postseason, ESPN networks delivered the four most-viewed games of the 2021-22 season (CFP National Championship, both CFP Semifinals, and The Rose Bowl Game) and 59 of the top 100 games overall. ESPN networks were responsible for 62 percent of live game college football minutes viewed this season across all nationally measured linear networks.

Daniel Craig Departs Bond Franchise

By: Skyler Johnson

Daniel Craig, the most recent Bond, is by far one of the most successful and most beloved. Compared to the other iterations of the iconic character, his films have ranked highly amongst others in the franchise. Starting with his performance in Casino Royale, a soft reboot of the Bond films, in 2006, he retained his position as the 21st century Bond through the most recent film No Time to Die in 2021.

His departure was a major upset to fans, who were large supporters of the actor since Casino Royale (2006), which was heavily praised partially due to Craig’s performance. While his casting was initially controversial and even ridiculed, Craig was known for his different take on Bond, adding depth and emotionality to the character. This was cemented in the original movie of his time in the role, which included the now iconic storyline of Vesper Lynd, who was continually referenced throughout the series.

From then, Daniel Craig’s Bond went through several changes, including Skyfall, which was a massive success, skyrocketing the career of director Sam Mendes and bringing Craig back into the spotlight. Skyfall is considered by many to be one of the best Bond pictures of all time and is widely beloved by fans. In all, Craig acted in 5 Bond films across 15 years, cementing James Bond as a 21st century figure.

However, Craig wanted a change. He did not want to permanently be Bond, and the character was starting to become his entire identity. A plight common for other actors who have taken on the role such as Pierce Brosnan and Roger Moore, Craig sought to expand his identity. While hosting SNL in 2020, portrayed the character several times, including in the opening monologue though he does have a talent to portray comedic roles, as shown with 2019’s Knives Out.

Critically acclaimed Knives Out became a breakthrough role for Craig. Already a fixture in the public eye, Knives Out allowed Craig to show a completely different side to himself as an actor as the comedic Southern detective Benoit Blanc. The film received an Oscar nomination, three Golden Globes nominations, with adulation for Craig’s campy portrayal of a private eye.

With his creative talents turned in other directions, No Time to Die became the last Bond feature he worked on. Thankfully, it was a great way to finish. Directed by Cary Joji Fukanaga (True Detective season 1), this movie was highly enjoyed by fans for the excellent fight sequences, writing, and of course performances. Craig, as always, was incredible, both heart-wrenching and hilarious, and able to keep the audience’s attention throughout the entire 2 hours and 44-minute screen time.

The ending (no spoilers) served both as a deserving resolution for the character and a display of the talents of Daniel Craig. It was beautiful, emotional, and justified for one of the most revered Bonds. It served as an excellent ending to the modern era of Bond films. Only time will tell where Bond will go next.

Where Craig will go next, is a little more solidified than the iconic spy’s future. After 2019’s Knives Out, it’s clear the actor still has a lot to give to the world, possibly with more comedic roles like with Benoit Blanc. With Netflix paying $450 million for two sequels in the franchise, Craig may be at the center of a new film dynasty. Filming for Knives Out 2 wrapped in fall 2021 and much like the original film features a star-studded cast with the likes of Dave Bautista, Janelle Monáe, Ethan Hawke, Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, and more.

While Craig’s tenure as Bond is over, his performances cemented him in the history of the famed franchise, ensuring his legacy as a beloved version of the spy. Who knows what his next performances will offer? One thing is certain: his fans and the world will be watching.

X-Force Twenty Seven

This April, X-FORCE enters the Destiny of X era with a new jumping-on point and a shocking new enemy!

As long as mutant-kind thrives on Krakoa, X-Force must protect the island nation from its most dangerous outside threats. In order to do so, this group of mutant-kind’s most lethal have to be willing to get their hands dirty and risk their lives in the most extreme and dangerous situations. They’ve made their share of mistakes, being killed and resurrected more times than they can count. And now, they’ll face a new foe that will strike at the heart of Krakoa’s dream. Emerging in the aftermath of “X LIVES OF WOLVERINE/X DEATHS OF WOLVERINE” comes “Cerebrax”! This all-new arc kicks off in “X-FORCE #27” and will see rising star Robert Gill come aboard as the hit series’ new main artist.

As Wolverine returns to Krakoa, the mind-melding threat of Cerebrax grips the island via a security flaw! But where does it come from, and what does it want with Forge? Here’s what writer Benjamin Percy had to say about what fans can expect from the new hard-hitting chapter of X-FORCE: “There has never been an easy time for X-Force, but the year ahead is going to be particularly chaotic and challenging. I can’t get into too much detail about ‘X LIVES OF WOLVERINE/X DEATHS OF WOLVERINE’—because Beast has listed those files as classified—but I will say that there are repercussions. For some of the characters of course. But also, for one of the Cerebro units, which has become sentient, and its hunger for intelligence and power is quite literal. Cerebrax is coming. You should also expect some dramatic shake-ups to the team roster and a major transformation for Kid Omega that we’ve been building toward for some time. Take cover, because one of my favorite villains in the 616 is showing up in a multi-issue story I’ve been wanting to write for years. And expect for the Man with the Peacock Tattoo to finally be unmasked. Robert Gill’s art is blowing my mind and melting my email inbox; I can’t wait to share it with you all. Get ready for menace, mayhem, and moral confusion.”
