Dancing With Myself

Basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal and actress Liza Koshy join international superstar Shakira as creators on Dancing with Myself, NBC‘s newest dance-challenge series. A premiere date for the hourlong series will be announced in the near future.

Inspired by the millions tuning in to watch the latest dance crazes on social media, Dancing with Myself will see a group of everyday people compete each week in a series of high-energy dance challenges designed and demonstrated by the show’s celebrity creators Shakira, Liza, and Shaquille. Isolated in their own pods, contestants have a short time to learn the new routines, add their unique flair, and perform their hearts out in front of a live studio audience. As each round of the competition progresses, the creators on the judging panel provide instant feedback and choose their favorites to advance, along with the audience picks. But ultimately, it’s the studio audience that decides who’s the best dancer of the night and gets to take home the cash prize.

Shakira, Liza, and Shaquille will perform the new dance challenges created specifically for the show, which the contestants will have to tackle.  They will also enlist the talents of guest celebrities who will submit their own challenges.

As an NBA Hall of Famer, longtime sports commentator, entrepreneur and spokesperson, Shaq‘s larger-than-life personality has captured the hearts of millions for years. His dance moves have become a regular trending topic on social media.

Co-creator, executive producer, and star of her own YouTube Originals series Liza on Demand, and seen recently co-hosting “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Special,” Koshy‘s humor and relatability to her legion of followers brings a fresh perspective to the lighthearted competition.

Model, actress and on-air correspondent Camille Kostek will join the trio as host. She began her career as an NFL professional cheerleader, performing routines at international events and teaching youth clinics. Kostek originally gained international prominence after landing the cover for the 2019 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine in her rookie year alongside Tyra Banks. Kostek is passionate about using her platform to continue spreading self-love and inner strength through her #nevernotdancing social initiatives, where she encourages fans to express body positivity & self-acceptance through dance. In her role as host, Camille will also demonstrate new dance challenges and perform with the other creators. Dancing with Myself is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio group, and Irwin Entertainment. John Irwin, Dave Kuba, and Eli Frankel executive produce for Irwin Entertainment. Tina Nicotera Bachman, Ben Thursby-Palmer, Jaime Levine and Shakira also executive produce. The series is licensed by NBCUniversal Formats, a division of Universal Studio Group.

Tadeusz Lysiak Interview

The 94th Oscar nominations have been announced, and with the awards happening on March 27. 360 was able to speak with the director of one of the nominated films, Tadeusz Lysiak. “The Dress” is hoping to garner best short film at the event. Topics include the director’s start with film making, the film itself, and his plans for the future.

1. How did you get into filmmaking?

It all happened after I watched Inglourious Basterds by Quentin Tarantino. I was probably 16 years old back then and I remember going out of the theater and having coffee with my family and telling them: I’m gonna be a filmmaker one day. They said that was a great idea and they gave me a lot of advice: they suggested that it’d probably be better if I wouldn’t go to film school just after finishing high school. They reasoned that, “if you’d like to tell stories about life, you’d have to experience life a little at first.” So that’s why I decided to study Cultural Studies at the University of Warsaw. And only after finishing… [was when I] applied to Warsaw Film School. And it was the best choice of my life, they taught me everything I know. Warsaw Film School is such a cool place!

2. A lot of your work covers sensitive topics. Why is that?

In WFS they always teach us to ask ourselves what bothers us with the world, what there is to change or repair, and to never tell stories that are not important to us personally. So that’s what I’m doing. I’m deeply interested in sensitive, social, or psychological topics, and that’s why my films are focused on them.

3. Why did you decide to create a film about disability and intimacy?

Because it is something that is not often talked about! I find it deeply disturbing that there are still some prejudices in that territory, and some really bad things are still happening to women with disabilities all around the world. University of Michigan says that 40% of women with any sort of disability are being sexually or physically assaulted during their lifetime. This is absolutely terrifying.

4. How did you feel when you found out you received an Oscar nomination?

This is such a surreal feeling, especially because “The Dress” is a student project made just to pass an exam in Warsaw Film School. We were all hoping to get a good grade and that’s it. And now we are nominated for an Oscar. This is a story for yet another movie.

5. How long did the filming process take?

I think you can sum all of it up in roughly one year. At first, it was a couple of months of research and writing the script, then further development, preproduction, and finally 6 days of shooting and three months of postproduction. It was a hard time since we didn’t have a big budget and too many resources.

6. What was your best moment on set?

I must say that the best moment was the last shot. It was 5 AM, we were all so tired and exhausted and I remember that as soon as we finished rolling I started crying, and we all cried so much, and then we hug[ged] each other and drank champagne and it was such a great moment of accomplishment and relief!

7. Who were your favorite people to work with on set?

I just loved everybody. Since it was a student project, most of the crew were my close friends. We were having a lot of fun, but also we worked so hard, driven by our passion to tell this story. I have to thank Konrad Bloch, my cinematographer, who is such a sensitive guy and a true artist. I think of him as an absolute co-author, …as well as Anna Dzieduszycka. It was a huge group effort.

8. Who are your influences?

I think I have many, but the most important ones are certainly: Stanley Kubrick, David Fincher, Roman Polański, Krzysztof Kieślowski, and Michael Haneke. I believe that all of them did in their films what I would like to do: they looked into people’s minds, they looked at what is hidden, what is repressed.

9. What would you like to accomplish career-wise?

Ultimately, I would like to make films in the US, in English— for the simple reason that I want as many people as possible to watch them. I feel like I need to tell different stories and share them with others. This is a hunger that I cannot satisfy. My focus is now on working on my feature-length debut, which will be a psychological thriller.

10. What should we expect from you in the future?

My full-length debut is at a fairly advanced stage of development, we are working on the script. The working title is “Obsession.” I have not yet decided whether I will want to do it in Poland or in the States. It’s a universal story, it would work anywhere. The film will tell the story of a young couple whose daughter one day disappears without a trace and both of them begin to fall into madness because of it.

11. Describe “The Dress” in one word.

Desire.

12. What do you want people to take away from “The Dress?”

I would like them to see that there is still a lot of evil in the world. That we still have a lot to fix. And that we should treat eachother with respect and dignity. This is especially important nowadays.

Red Bull BC One World Final

Elite competitive breakers (‘b-boys’ and ‘b-girls’) from all corners of the globe will descend on New York City, where the world’s most highly anticipated annual breaking competition, the Red Bull BC One World Final, will take place on Saturday, November 12 at the Hammerstein Ballroom at Manhattan Center

With over 60 qualifier events hosted across 30 countries, the competition brings together the best in breaking for an electrifying battle on the largest international stage, with the final event featuring a line-up of 16 b-boys and 16 b-girls. Last year’s Red Bull BC One World Final was hosted in Poland with B-Boy Amir from Kazakhstan and B-Girl Logistx from the USA taking the belt. Both will defend their titles at this year’s World Final.

Born on the streets of the Bronx, breaking is one of hip-hop’s four foundational elements, as integral to the expansion of the culture as MCing, DJing, and graffiti. Over nearly five decades, the vibrant local art form has broken beyond New York boroughs and become a worldwide phenomenon, evolving into a gravity-defying hybrid of stylized dance and athletic sport now globally recognized, with a sporting debut set for 2024.

“It fills my heart with pride to see a ghetto-born dance transcend beyond the basketball courts outside my Bronx River Projects window. What felt exclusive to our community is now a global sensation and I see every b-boy and b-girl as an extension of the culture,” shares legendary New York City b-boy Alien Ness, “Breaking will continue to evolve, but will remain rooted in an unexplainable essence that connects us. If we could verbally explain it, we wouldn’t be dancing.”

In celebration of breaking’s progression, breakers from across the world will reunite in the art form’s birthplace at this unique moment in history to battle for their chance to be crowned Red Bull BC One World Champion.

“There is something special about the Red Bull BC One World Final returning to New York City,” says Logan “Logistx” Edra, winner of the 2021 Red Bull BC One World Final, and the youngest to ever hold the coveted title. “As the next generation of breakers rise, I feel it’s important to honor breaking’s roots while breathing new life into the sport as it continues to amass international and well-due recognition.”

To further the development of breaking culture, the Red Bull BC One Camp will accompany the competition, gathering breaking legends and rising stars for several days of workshops, panels, and battles for the wider breaking community.

This year’s program will be available to stream on Red Bull TV and the Red Bull BC One social media channels. For more information, click HERE.

Arc Festival

For its 2021 debut, ARC Festival conjured the spirit of house music in the birthplace of the genre. The event united scenes and connected communities from around the world in a way that felt distinct to the creative history of Chicago. In 2022, ARC returns to the city on Labor Day Weekend with an expanded three day event and has announced its world-class lineup of movement leaders from around the globe.

ARC’s first edition offered a festival experience previously unknown to Chicago dance music fans. Aimed at fostering an immersive journey into the beating heart of the genre, attendees were guided between the technicolor containers of The Grid stage to the outrageousness of Spain’s Elrow, onwards to the deeper shades of Expansions. The result was a city-wide vibe that extended into premiere venues by night, earning the attention of the industry and leaving those out of the loop longing for ARC’s return.

This year’s lineup sees ARC further cement itself as a premiere stop on the global festival calendar. Some of electronic music’s biggest stars will take center stage including the inimitable Carl Cox, a special performance from Adam Beyer, Cirez D, songstress of the international techno movement Charlotte De Witte, Motor City icon Carl Craig, and UK mainstage originator Fatboy Slim.

Billing pushes into the avant-garde in 2022 with the Chicago debut of eclectic after hours maestro Ricardo Villalobos, Life and Death icon DJ Tennis, the deep and dark melodic sounds of Ann Clue, and The Other Side label head Maher Daniel.

The pinnacle of modern house remains a focus at ARC, as the show welcomes giants like Gorgon City, Chris Lake, Claptone, Get Real, Eats Everything, Justin Martin, and Vintage Culture. Melodic shades of house will also be on full display from the likes of Lane 8, Nora En Pure, Ben Böhmer, Boris Brejcha, and Gioli & Assia.

In accordance with global demand, some of the international techno scene’s most sought after producers and selectors will bring the hard hitting sound to ARC. Italian leader Joseph Capriati makes his Chicago return alongside ENTER’s Richie Hawtin, Brazil’s ANNA, Palestine’s Sama’ Abdulhadi and Enrico Sangiuliano rounding out the truly global affair.

Chicago house music remains the lifesource of the festival, the easel on which the city’s modern sonic history has been painted, and its unmistakable spiritual gift to the world. Fashion icon and midwest musical genius Honey Dijon will grace the ARC stage for the first time, alongside storied mentor of the Chicago sound Derrick Carter, Queen of Chicago house DJ Lady D, Farriswheel’s Gene Farris, Green Velvet of Get Real, Godfather of House music Chip E., fellow longtime veterans Ron Carroll and Mike Dunn plus next generation riser Kryptogram.

Spanish party outfit Elrow will make its return to ARC, bringing its renowned psychedelic production and outrageous surprises to Union Park in full force. Elrow’s signature stage design, performers and hijinx have made it one of the most celebrated brands in the world, touching down for bespoke events annually in Barcelona, Ibiza, New York, London, Dubai, Miami, Las Vegas, Sydney and many more key markets.

ARC will once again extend beyond the music, creating a cutting-edge experience that mirrors the culture and artistry of its host city. Attendees can expect curated production elements and art to guide them between each of the four immersive stage environments. The event will also act as a showcase of Chicago’s culinary prowess, offering an elevated and distinctly local event.

These efforts will be led by the Auris Presents team who bring collective decades of professionalism to the fold across their independent endeavors. ARC fans will also be treated to intimate after parties across Auris and ARC partner venues RADIUS, PRYSM and Concord Music Hall with others to be announced.

Getting a festival pass early doesn’t just lock-in Labor Day Weekend, it’s a ticket to stacking this summer with events in the spirit of ARC. Pass holders gain access to purchase tickets to sold out shows, private pre-sales, exclusively priced tickets, and the chance to guestlist at over 40 upcoming Auris Presents events this spring and summer.

Atzaro Hotel Food via Authentic Travel PR for use by 360 Magazine

New Atzaro Hotel Menu

Atzaró Agroturismo Hotel and Spa has opened for the 2022 season with some exciting new food news for global gourmands. This year they have teamed up with British chef and food consultant James Adams to create a new concept for the hotel’s restaurants.

James Adams has been a chef and food consultant for over 16 years in some of London’s top restaurant kitchens and is famous for his work with Skye Gyngell at Spring within Somerset House, devising the menus and farm planting at celebrated country hotel Heckfield Place, chef at River Cafe, and menu and planting direction at Petersham Nurseries.

Adams said, “I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Atzaró Group on the new food concepts—the new food is all about abundance, organic ingredients, Atzaró farm-grown fresh produce, simplicity and taste—delicious farm-to-fork Mediterranean dishes made with healthy and natural ingredients grown right here in the estate’s vegetable garden–Atzaró on a plate.”

Popular with island residents, visitors and hotel guests, Atzaro‘s garden-farmed terrace and finca restaurant, ‘La Veranda’, is situated at the heart of the hotel, with an outdoor terrace beneath a vine-strewn pergola. Fragrant jasmine, olive trees, bougainvillea and nearby pomegranate trees frame views to manicured lawns, pools, the valley, and mountains beyond. You may also see the occasional friendly peacock making an appearance. Atzaró‘s second restaurant, ‘The Orange Tree’, opens between July and September, and can be found in a beautiful grand courtyard beneath palm trees and a pergola twinkling with lights, the perfect setting for a romantic al fresco dinner under the stars.

On the new menu

For starters and salads try a creamy mozzarella salad with sweet Atzaró oranges and black olives, fried ricotta stuffed courgette flowers from the vegetable garden with local honey or a tangy tomato salad with anchovies and capers.  For a seafood option, diners can enjoy locally caught clams with slow-cooked fennel and saffron alioli or for a bit of heat go for the grilled squid with chili and rocket salad.  Vegans will love the simplicity of the plant-based avocado salad with butterleaf lettuce and honey mustard dressing.

For mains try the spinach and ricotta gnocchi with tomato and green olive tapenade or the monkfish on rosemary skewers with courgette and pine nut salad with chili mint dressing.  Meat options on the menu include slow-cooked lamb leg with apricots, saffron potatoes and leeks or the grilled beef filet with Harissa, Chimichurri, and slow-cooked cabbage.

Desserts this year have a whole new homemade appeal and include a delicious burnt lemon tart with pistachio ice-cream, warm almond and pear tart with Zabaglione ice cream, a very special champagne jelly with strawberries and cream or the hotel’s signature sweet Atzaró orange cake made with  fresh clementines, saville, and navel oranges grown in the farm with creme fraiche and Atzaró’s own home-made marmalade.

Food trends for 2022 are more than ever about seasonal, local produce grown on the land using sustainable methods.  Guests want to be at one with nature during their stay and to see where the food on the menu comes from. Atzaró is one of the new-generation of five star rural garden hotels who embrace this philosophy as part of their natural heritage as a former working orange farm. Take a wander along the walkways in the vast Atzaró Vegetable Garden and see 3 hectares beds bursting with herbs, vegetables and fruit trees grown with bio-dynamic farming methods. The land is farmed organically, watered by the estate’s natural well and harvested daily by the garden’s team to ensure the produce is as fresh as it possibly can be.

About Atzaro

Atzaro is 13-hectare estate of orange groves, tropical palms, manicured Mediterranean gardens, and an abundant three-hectare organic vegetable garden.  The site of a 300-year-old finca (originally a working orange farm), the hotel launched in 2004 to rapturous acclaim and since then has become a firm favourite of visitors including Kate Hudson, Rihanna, Shakira, Chiara Ferragni and the Fendi family amongst others. In recent years, the hotel has completely redefined the luxury Agroturismo heritage hotel category with its high level of service, quality, signature pared-back style, and lavish gardens so that guests can immerse themselves in a 360-degree nature-connected sustainable hotel stay.
