LA Art Show

The LA Art Show is Back

By Yash Thadani, Krish Narsinghani

Los Angeles’ longest-running art show returned Wednesday evening, January 23rd. The exhibition was held at the Los Angeles Convention center in the heart of Downtown LA. Immediately upon entering the venue, patrons were presented with a red carpet walkway leading to the south hall ballroom that featured work from numerous artists from around the world. Installations from Takashi Murakami to Banksy were all at arm’s-length available to purchase.

Venturing off to the back area of the hall guests were greeted by various vendors from DogHAUS to BuzzPop sampling their products. The event also had countless stands offering premium open bar services for the attendees. In addition, there was a lounge with embellished furniture and two champagne bars for VIP attendees.

This 2022 exposition has also integrated cutting-edge forms of digital media such as NFTs to create a depiction of emotional and alluring experience for the audience. Johnny “KMNDZ” was one of the many artists breaking barriers of digital art with a collection of nearly 900 exclusive NFTs that premiered at the LA Art Show

A crowd favorite was a portrayal of The Joker and Batman in a boxing ring. In true artistic irony, Batman was beaten and confused with The Joker standing over him being the clear winner. It was a distasteful paradox showing that bad guys sometimes do end up winning.

To top it off, the Off-White model and notably recognized international actress Kaia Gerber was the official host of the 2022 premiere party. As one of the largest international art fairs in the U.S. this occasion was the perfect place to view prominent artists and their work across a number of verticals including paintings, prints, sculptures and NFTs.

About the LA Art Show

The LA Art Show creates one of the largest international art fairs in the United States, providing an exciting, immersive, insider art experience to sponsors, their select guests and VIP clients. The show attracts an elite roster of national and international galleries, acclaimed artists, highly regarded curators, architects, design professionals, along with discerning collectors. This innovative, exceptional cultural environment attracts executives and board members of Southern California businesses, state, county, and municipal government representatives, as well as leaders of the region’s cultural institutions. Attendees are trendsetters, influencers and alpha consumers, who seek and demand the newest and the best in all areas of their lives—art, design, food, technology and travel being specific passion points.

Since 2015, LA Art Show has been a strong and unwavering supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® as it leads the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. In 2022, St. Jude returned as the beneficiary with the LA Art Show donating 15% of all ticket proceeds to its life saving mission. The LA Art Show is proud to bring together St. Jude and the art community.

Dirt Bike Graphics Kits

It can be easy to get bored with the graphics on dirt bikes, and it is always fun to look for new and exciting ones. Graphics may not make a ride faster, but they can help represent a sponsor and keep a bike looking clean and new. There are endless configurations and designs that will help personalize and upgrade a bike. Let’s take a deep dive into the world of dirt bike graphics and where to find quality graphics kits.

Quality Graphics Kits

There are kits available to make custom logos, text styles, colors, layouts, and finishes. Graphics kits range in price, depending on the quality. It is even possible to create a personalized kit, for the most customized biking experience. These kits have graphics for covering the rear fender, lower fender, radiator covers, lower fork, rear swing arm, and number plates. To find exactly what is wanted, or even just to know where to start, get help at Senge Graphics. Buying quality kits is important, since mud, water, and rain will rub on these decals each time the bike is used and cause them to wear. Graphics should be made to last, and they can be difficult to install.

Look around for the best quality and the best price. Full kits are the most complete and include graphics for most parts of the bike. A radiator shroud kit will include the radiator shroud graphic and often the air box decals. Front and rear fender decals are included in a trim kit. Even blank number plate backgrounds and pre-printed number plate backgrounds help make a bike stand out from the rest. The graphics kit should be made of quality material. Make sure the graphics are 16-20 mils thick. Lower quality plastic is available and cheaper, but it probably won’t last as long. It is also important to look for a trusted adhesive brand, such as 3M. UV protective coating is another sign of a quality product.

Installation Instructions

Once that perfect, high-quality graphics kit is found, make sure to prepare the plastic on the bike. Remove old stickers and clean the bike with rubbing alcohol or another adhesive removing cleaner. With a new bike, be sure to wipe the bike off to ensure no manufacturer oil residue is left. Make sure the bike is well prepared to get the longest life out of the graphics.

Special Tips

Get better results when installing graphics using these tips.

  • Don’t install graphics in a cold or damp area.
  • Clean the bike before installing.
  • Remove existing decals before applying new graphics.
  • Pay special attention to the edges of the graphics.

More Upgrades

There are lots of other ways to upgrade a bike. Riding can be smoother with a new suspension, including shocks, linkage, and fork seals. Upgrading the exhaust system can boost the speed, sound, and look of a bike. Changing the sprocket or chain can upgrade a bike and give more speed. Try replacing the factory clutch with a new clutch system. It’s sure to boost the bike’s performance. Because dirt bike controls change how bikes are operated, try changing the footpegs, handlebars, levers, or grips. If an old bike is looking a little old, slow, or beat up, why not try giving it an upgrade? Dirt bike graphics kits are easy to find, personalize and install on any dirt bike. A few of 360 Magazine‘s favorite dirt bike companies include Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, KTM and Kawasaki.

Bo + Tee

Bo + Tee Christmas Soiree

Oh Polly, the brand that has been sweeping the internet and part of every major influencer’s wardrobe, is now redefining the women’s athleisure space with their sister company Bo+Tee. The UK based brand debuted their latest collection at The Bonaventure Brewing Company on December 15th, 2021.

The infamous brewery located on the fourth floor of The Westin in DTLA was the perfect venue to host their first event. Immediately walking in, guests are greeted with a DJ playing hits from Drake to Megan the Stallion, and with a bar serving drinks from red wine to hot chocolate spiked with Baileys. Finger foods were served throughout the evening including chicken skewers, cheese burgers, and a stand with churros and cotton candy for those sweet lovers.

Christmas came early this year! Attendees picked a set of their choosing from the latest collection. The articles of clothing were displayed in the back of the venue for guests to admire, while walking away with free Bo+Tee. We continued to canvas the floor deck of the venue, eventually stumbling upon a screen printing booth giving out special tote bags.

To end the night, fragrance brand Sarah Horowitz Parfums set up a station to concoct your own custom perfume. The process started with questions asking about one’s favorite citrus and favorite foods. In only fifteen minutes, the team constructed the scent of your dreams based on your answers.

The Bo + Tee’s capsule collection consists of five different pieces. This includes different variations of contemporary colored crop tops and seamless leggings. The pieces from the latest drop range from $30-$40. The collection can be available for purchase on us.ohpolly.com

Brenna D'Amico

Night Night Premiere

By Krishan Narsinghani

Freeform’s Famous In Love star, Nikki Koss, makes her debut as a director for the psychological thriller Night, Night. 360 Magazine had the opportunity to attend the premier in Malibu’s very own Country Mart, a first time ever screening in the vicinity. In attendance was the film’s lead actress, Brenna D’Amico, well known for her past work in the television film, Descendants. The movie was shot in Corsicana, Texas with Koss, Robert Johnson (writer), Austin Seltzer, and Ryan DeLaney producing and Amber McNutt executive producing.

The evening illuminated with a red carpet under the stars adjacent an intimate outdoor seating area at John’s Gardens, sponsored by Beverly Hill’s iSkin. Wine from a local Texas vineyard was surprisingly featured in the movie and was served throughout the soiree.

Acting from D’Amico shined as she plays a parent-less romantic named April who survives an almost fatal car accident. April awakens from her coma to find herself next to a man she barely remembers to be casually dating. With her family out of the picture, she relies on him to take care of her throughout the recovery process while facing psychosis and hallucinations from the medication. Viewers can suspect a roller coaster of emotions and some interesting spins on reality, trauma and love. It should also be noted that the music supervision aligned nicely with the shot selection. Fellow actors include Tony Todd (Final Destination), Eric Roberts (Candyman), Brooke Anne Smith, Adam Budron, Nick Marini, Matty Cardarople, and Neels Visser.

“Night Night is genre bending. It contains the classic, on the edge of your seat entertainment that’s expected from a thriller. However, what makes Night Night so special is how we let the audience live in the unknown with April. While she’s in a constant battle trying to figure out why these absurd phenomenons are happening to her, you feel the energy of being disoriented and stressed just as she does.” -Brenna D’Amico

“Night Night is really special film for a plethora of reasons. It’s a psychological thriller unlike most. I really tried to take the genre and turn it on its head. Specifically via a unique aesthetic that almost feels bizarre in conjunction with the script and a soundtrack that feels like an original parallel. I’m incredibly excited for the world to see this new take on a psych thriller.”  -Niki Koss

Strick

Strick Land Album Release Party

By Krish Narsinghani, Yash Thadani

Strick, American rapper and singer, recently released his new album “Strick Land.” As a North Carolina native and an affiliate to Young Thugs infamous label Young Stoner Life, the artist wanted to paint a picture behind his album’s influence. If you’re already familiar with the “For Sale” rapper’s past, then you know the result is an eventful evening at an intimate boujee venue. For this specific album, Strick and his team held the party at a beautiful private art gallery in West Hollywood (known as Linc) and produced by The P.M. Firm. The ambience was unmatched with two rooms with varying vibes for all personality types. The initial reaction walking into the venue was refreshing. The first room had one section where women were embellished with paint across their bodies, while the other room displayed the new merch drop.

360 Magazine had the opportunity to sit down with the producers behind the new line, Jelani James and Jessica Raven (of companies JW Capital & Holding and Amber James), who worked directly with Strick.

“This is a family thing.. tied in through Young Thug’s dad, Big Jeff. There is no third party. It’s direct to manufacture. Strick has been really involved in every step of the process – making sure that his designs are in line with the album and the fits hit right. He wants to make sure everything has a certain aesthetic before being released.”

Nostalgic to say to the least. A room with vintage Pac-man, arcade style basketball and lemon pepper wings brought back memories of those middle school days. The real climax was when the DJ started playing songs from “Strick Land” with guest appearances from Nav, Metro Boomin and Asap Rocky. It’s safe to say this was a night to remember.

Top Eight Beauty Trends

Even during a lockdown, beauty can bring moments of joy to your day, whether you’re looking to relax or assert yourself creatively. The year is nearly over, but it is never too late to begin practicing self-care and making more time for yourself. Whether it’s doing lazy weekend chores with a hair mask slathered on your hair, or trying out a new skincare ingredient while binge-watching the latest Netflix hit series; there’s a lot of experimenting to be done. Here are the top 8 beauty trends to try in 2021.

Mood Enhancing Beauty Products

Civilizations have employed cosmetics for a variety of purposes throughout history, including enhancing attractiveness, participating in religious ceremonies, and maintaining good health (hello, sunscreen!). The act of applying cosmetics is becoming increasingly vital in today’s world. Beauty products can bring some normalcy and light into even the darkest of situations. While it won’t solve all of your problems, doing your makeup can lift your spirits and give you a sense of power, control, routine, and relaxation.

Skinimalism

When it comes to skincare, you may have long believed that more is better: the more aggressive serums you use, the more radiant your skin will be. Excessive skin care efforts, just like enjoying life to the fullest always misses the mark and can leave a path of destruction in the shape of a damaged skin barrier, redness, irritation, and, in some cases, acne. This is where Skinimalism enters the scene. It’s all about taking a step back, embracing the power of multipurpose products, and committing to a more sustainable (and often less expensive) beauty routine in the end.

Abstract Nails

Abstract nails are already witnessing increased searches and popularity in 2021, and we can’t get enough of the personality-packed trend, especially when it seems like a journey down memory lane. The distinctive swirls, dots, and hues exude a strong retro vibe. From groovy swirls to mod-inspired designs, the greatest of the 1960s and 1970s can be found right at your fingertips. The abstract nail style features a lot of negative-space detailing and is completely adaptable to your mood.

Lashes That Make a Statement

If you’ve always wanted to try out extra-long lashes but were afraid you’d look silly, now is your chance. This trend has resurfaced in a big way. It’s also possible that it’s not as horrible as you imagine. We’ve come a long way from wearing unnatural-looking lashes to mink lashes that complement our features. As a result, don’t be afraid to experiment with different eyelash extension patterns as they can complement your appearance while also bringing out your inner prima-donna. If you don’t want to wear falsies, you can get the same effect with mascara and a few lash-lengthening tricks.

Graphic Eyeliner

Eyeliner can be used on the water lines of the eyes, above the upper lashes, below the lower lashes, or both. Its main purpose is to make the lashes look fuller, but it can also call attention to the eye and affect the form of the eye.. as yet another out-of-the-ordinary makeup trend emerges, it’s clear that 2021 is the year for daring makeup looks. During the midst of the pandemic last year when people were trying to use makeup while staying safe wearing respirator masks is the same time graphic eyeliner made its debut. This makeup look has quickly become popular and is used by beauty gurus to express their creativity. There are no limits to what you can do with this trend, from colored liners to cool designs, it’s easy to express oneself.

Choppy Eyebrows

Every now and then, we all feel too lazy to groom our brows. Don’t worry, because this trend is ideal if you have trouble doing your brows. People used to shave their brows into a thin strip, but that is no longer the case. Nowadays, the bushier the better, and trends continue to evolve to accommodate this style. The choppy brow is the newest trend, which involves brushing them upwards to give them a light and youthful appearance. If necessary, fill them in with a brow pencil before brushing them to give them a fuller appearance.

The Bold Lip

Lipstick, whether with or without a mask, never goes out of style because it is essential to completing a makeup look and can change your mood. People are about to rock their favorite bold lip colors all year long, from classic red to trendy burgundy. Look for matte lipsticks if you don’t want your lipstick to smear on your mask. It’s less prone to smudges than glossy finishes.Apply the correct lip balm under your lipstick to keep it moist and colorful for a superior base and longer wear. Use hand sanitizers before touching your lips to kill infection causing microorganisms.

Liquid Lipstick

You spend what seems like an eternity priming, padding, and precisely applying your bold lipstick, only to have it stain, transfer, or fade completely by the time you finish your morning cup of coffee. Does this sound familiar? Liquid lipsticks are smear and kiss-proof, which is one of the key reasons they are the ideal lipsticks. Liquid lipsticks are the way to go if you want to go a little bolder with your lip color. They’re designed to be long-lasting, so the color won’t just not transfer onto your cocktail glass, but it won’t even kiss off on your man’s lips.

Conclusion
Beauty, like most things, has been in an odd place in recent months. Our homes now serve as our workplace, day care, and beauty salons. However despite the pandemic, the beauty industry is still thriving and these tips will ensure that you stay up to date.

How To Take Control of your Finances

Debt has been a challenging subject that can be either easy or hard to explain. Debt is the amount of money that one party owes another party. Debt can be seen in multiple ways especially in this generation. To learn more about debt details look into this article. Not many of the Gen-Z fully understand how debt or banking works which lead to many being under a huge amount of loans after certain aspects of life. The main three types of debts that occur in this generation are credit cards, student loans, and mortgage loans.

There is a reason why those debts are listed in that order because they correlate to each part of life. Credits cards are great to learn from when you’re single and first tackling the real world. It’s the first type of debt you start with. Credit cards are very common and most people may find it odd if you don’t have at least one credit card to build your credit score in order to gain more loans. Multiple resources recommend each person to have at least two credit cards, but not more than three because that shows banks that your expenses are very spread out. Student loans are once you start or complete your college degree in order to have a higher-paying job. Student loans can be divided into two types, private loans or state financial aid. Private loans are with an organization that offers loans and state financial aid is money given by the state government to help. Then we start with a mortgage loan for your first house when you start your family. Mortgage loans are for big property purchases that the bank normally gives out and normally payment is for 15-30 years.

As controlling your financials can be hard, especially without guidance, here are some solutions to hold right at your fingertips: budgeting, finding outside sources for student loans, and joining debt consolidation.

There are multiple ways to budget in the modern world due to the amount of resources we have today. Most budgeting templates require you to list out your expenses and the total income you have to work with monthly. In order to reduce debt, it would be better to take out unnecessary expenses as getting nails done, going to the movie theater, eating out, or clothes shopping. These are expenses that you want but don’t need. “Need” expenses include water bills, electricity bills, health insurance, rent, gas, and many more. If you fully understand what you actually need to spend in order to survive, that’s a good start to paying those loans off. Now that doesn’t mean you have to fully give up everything, just give more room for more important things. From making a list to canceling things off the list, try to pay more toward your debts. Informative Youtube videos have detailed outlines on fiscal responsibility that cut out unnecessary expenses, and thus in return make ends meet for debts.

Student loans can be forgiven under certain states that have forgiveness for student loans that are through the state government. Certain colleges even have a forgiveness program based on your financial income. Budgeting would work as well or even automatic billing for student loans to make your expenses lined up.

The last solution is a debt consolidation service where an individual can seek aid in a trained professional that can provide all of the possible ways to get lower collected debt. Consolidation is where you can combine all of your loans for a single monthly payment rather than paying each loan individually. This service can help you have more control of your debts. Some other service is to have settled the loans with negotiations or in general get counseling on how to manage your money if it gets into a mess. Gen-Z can utilize not YouTube videos but debt consolidation experts virtually as a possible solution. Remote learning and banking can save you time and money.

More on Lil Wayne:

Lil Wayne began his career as a near-novelty, a preteen delivering hardcore Southern hip-hop. Through years of maturation and prolific output, during which the delivery of his humorous and wordplay-heavy rhymes gradually changed from ringing and pugnacious to stoned and rasped, he developed into a million-selling artist with a massive body of work, one so inventive and cunning that it makes his claim of being the “best rapper alive” worth considering. Wayne debuted at the age of 12, received his first platinum certification only five years later as a member of the Hot Boys, and immediately thereafter became a formidable solo artist with Tha Block Is Hot (1999), his first of 12 Top Ten albums on the Billboard 200. During a period of constant output entailing not just successful full-lengths but also reputation-building mixtapes and featured appearances on pop hits like Destiny’s Child‘s “Soldier” (2004), he reached mainstream superstar status with Tha Carter III (2008). A triple-platinum blockbuster, it spawned the number one pop hit “Lollipop” and the number six follow-up “A Milli,” and netted three Grammy awards, including Best Rap Album. Throughout the 2010s, despite numerous legal and creative battles, Wayne continued to be a regular presence on the upper reaches of the charts with albums such as Tha Carter IV (2011) and I Am Not a Human Being II (2013), additional smash singles as a headliner, and a continually lengthening list of collaborative hits, including the multi-platinum “Sucker for Pain” (for the Suicide Squad soundtrack in 2016) and “I’m the One” (headlined by DJ Khaled in 2017). Since the latter hit, Wayne has topped the Billboard 200 with the consecutive LPs Tha Carter V (2018) and Funeral (2020).

Brunch Tacos at Lanea

Brunch at Lanea

By Krishan Narsinghani

360 Magazine had the opportunity to try LA’s Premier Cocktail Bar & Taqueria, Lanea. This west side delight is opened up for indoor or outdoor dining at their quaint patio. With a small wooden boat plopped center-adjacent and arcade games at the bar, guests are quickly struck with a beach-y, hip atmosphere as they enter the establishment.

The early afternoon brunch began outdoors as we grabbed a seat, scanned a QR code for digital menus (seen at most LA restaurants post-pandemic) and were settled in by the waiter for authentic Mexican cuisine and drinks. If you are looking to quench your thirst, the margarita flights are immaculately made for a diverse pallet. The 360 favorite out of the four margs served had to be the Spicy Margarita (JAJA Tequila, Habanero Honey, Fresh Lime). It had the perfect amount of spice alongside The Chainsmoker’s JAJA tequila – must try! Other handcrafted margs include the Picante Coast Highway (Nosotros Blanco, passionfruit, ginger, habanero honey, citrus), SOCALienta Margarita (Cazadores Blanco, Thai Chili, Serrano, Habanero Honey, Pineapple, Citrus) and the Classic Marg.

After trying the brunch tacos, we decided that they should be an item kept at all taquerias. Huevos Con Chorizo and the Huevos Con Veggie, which included sauteed spinach and mushrooms, did not disappoint. Brunch is served until 2pm. Off the lunch section, the street style Barbacoa taco used lamb that had been wrapped in agave leaves and pit-roasted underground for 36 hours. Tenderized meat with their spicy homemade salsas will have you in a food coma before leaving the restaurant. Mouth-watering is an understatement when thinking back to the burrito with added flavors and toppings. Choose any of the proteins, or substitute for beyond meat.

Overall, the service is refreshing and a great eatery to start or end a beach day. Lanea is located at 217 Broadway, Santa Monica, CA, and is open for indoor and outdoor dining, takeout, and delivery. Lunch is available on Thursdays and Fridays, with DJs spinning on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 8 p.m.
