Karnevil LA

By Krishan Narsinghani

As of late, 360 Magazine attended LA’s hottest new immersive dinner and show experience, Karnevil, for their media night grand opening. Re-imagine the 20’s carnival but sexier, spookier with a touch of fine cuisine. Expect great service as you enter the intimate venue where you’ll be greeted by the staff in full-costume.

Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the freaks that may follow you to the bathroom.. a true sight for photos galore and potentially a future nightmare. Our favorite acts, without giving too much away, were Michael Rayner and the fire eater. Don’t ever think that balancing objects on your nose or juggling have gotten old when it comes to Mr. Rayner. The skills were something you may remember seeing on America’s Got Talent.

Enjoy dinner and hand-crafted cocktails while enjoying the show. Each dish had a unique circus twist which elevated the overall atmosphere. Five star foods such as the Depths of The Sea (shrimp ceviche) and County Fair (Braised slab bacon, donut holes , maple glaze, pickled mustard seed, Chicharone Crispys) were absolutely to die for. One thing your inner circus-child needs at least once are the Cotton Chicken Lolli’s – Black truffle bbq chicken lolli pops, candy sprinkle, cotton candy come together with a unique Root Beer reduction sauce that’s smothered across the plate. Indulge yourself with the Fried Oreo Cocktail and the Watermelon Cotton Candy infused refresher.

The sweet delights and entertainment compliment one another for an unforgettable night out in the city for adults of any age. For tickets and additional information, visit Karnevil LA’s website.

More on Karnevil:

Imagine five star food from award winning chefs, top shelf cocktails beyond Instagram worthy and the best themed parties in all of Los Angeles.

Tips on Promoting an Auto Repair Shop

An auto repair customer’s journey is a short one that typically starts on a search engine, and that’s why SEO and local advertising are such effective marketing methods. With some planning and an intuitive website, auto shop owners can continue to bring in new customers. Here are a few promotional tips for auto repair shop owners.

Search Ads

Many shop owners use PPC (pay per click) advertising to generate qualified leads and site traffic. Ad copy should promote a business’ unique qualities, such as special offers, fast completion times, insurance claims assistance, and satisfaction guarantees. When promoting an auto repair shop, work with a digital marketing team to set up ad campaigns, bid on the best keywords, and optimize audience targeting for the best results.

Local Reviews and Listings

Local reviews and listings are a great way to get an auto repair shop’s name in front of consumers who need help. The most important step is to build a presence on Facebook, Yelp, Google My Business, and other sites drivers use, as well as local sites. Encourage existing customers to review your services and provide timely responses to feedback. By optimizing listings and building a business profile, owners can boost their shops’ search engine rankings and build a stronger customer base.

SEO Strategies

SEO or search engine optimization is the process of ensuring that a shop’s site has desirable traits and can be indexed by the search engines. SEO is a highly technical, evolving process, so working with an agency is the best way to keep pace with algorithm changes and stay ahead of competitors. Search engine optimization ensures that, when drivers look online for local repair shops, yours will show up first.

A Well-Designed Website

A site that’s informative and optimized does much to support a shop owner’s overall SEO strategy. Don’t forget to include and update opening hours, location, and service offerings, as well as other important information. We recommend including high-quality photos, along with valuable, relevant content that keeps customers coming back for advice.

Chat Features

A chat button makes it simple for customers to ask questions and voice their concerns. With live chat, shop owners can engage with site visitors and start the service experience off on the right foot. Chat services, whether they’re powered by live agents or artificial intelligence, collect information about customers and their desired services, which makes follow-up calls easier.

Lead Management Tools

Drivers, especially those who need emergency service, typically go with the first shop to take their calls. According to a recent study, it’s much easier to qualify leads within five minutes of initial contact than within a half-hour. With lead management and tracking software that captures call recordings, lead details, and more, it’s easier to nurture these leads and gain a wider view of the shop’s customer acquisition strategies.

Don’t Wait—Start Planning Your Shop’s Success Strategy Today

We hope these tips will help auto repair shop owners promote their offerings and build stronger relationships with customers. Don’t be afraid to help you’re business succeed and market smarter, not harder.

Lexus Racing: Grand Prix Long Beach

By Yash Thadani and Krish Narsinghani

It was a fast and epic weekend for race fans as the NTT IndyCar Series returns. This prestigious race took place in the streets of Long Beach, specifically held at the Long Beach Convention Center.

Regardless if you’re a racing fanatic, this event was one to remember. Entering the convention center guests were directed towards a large room filled with concept cars that anyone would dream of driving. Automobiles from Acura, Lexus, Ferrari, etc. were flooded throughout the entire venue. Proceeding towards the back of the locale where numerous vendors were selling snacks ranging from homemade beef jerky to sugar cane candy. It was the perfect place to hang out if you wanted to change up the scenery, or if you wanted to enjoy a quick bite to eat.

Lexus, the car company recognized for their luxurious drive and classic look, would be competing in this legendary competition. The brand that was known as something your grandmother would drive is now breaking barriers by entering the racing scene. Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat piloted the Seal Master liveried No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 to a second place finish at this 11-turn circuit.

360 Magazine. sat down with the two British drivers to conduct a short interview. The two motorists coincidentally grew up in the same part of England, with only an hour drive from between them. Only three years apart, they had never raced together until now. The two of them have been enjoying their time together as allies and plan to build upon that chemistry for future races. To hear the full interview click here.

The Grand Prix of Long Beach was the third race of the 2022 season and first sprint race. One of the Lexus drivers, Jack Hawksworth had a few words to say “Mega day for us. It was a surprise podium today. We had a bit of a struggle yesterday. We just ran a clean race, and we didn’t make any mistakes. We got a nice overcut there in the beginning to jump ahead of the GTD leader and then after an incident on pit lane among competitors got to second. Ben (Barnicoat) did a great job on the restarts and the Vasser Sullivan team did a great job on pit lane. We just did all of the basics right and got on the podium. It was a really good day.”

Safe to say Hawksworth was happy with his performance for that day. Barnicoat followed up with “It was a great day. Amazing to finally get the first podium of the season after being so close in both Daytona and Sebring. We finally got there. I feel like the Vasser Sullivan team did a great job today — everyone involved from the ground up. We definitely didn’t have the pace, but we maximized what we had so to come out of here with a second place is beyond what we thought we were quite capable of on paper. A huge thank you to everyone at Vasser Sullivan and Lexus Racing for their effort today. Hopefully it’s the first of many this season.”

360 Magazine also had the honor of experiencing an exclusive offering called Hot Labz. It was an opportunity of a lifetime where a professional driver took a lap around the track in the brand new IS-500. The Japanese chariot has a horse power of 472 MPH, with a five-liter V8 engine. It’s apparent that Lexus will continue to move mountains and make a name for itself in the motor-sporting space.

Fabletics Swim

Fabletics Makes a Splash

By: Yash Thadani

Fabletics, the brand that has taken the athletic wear space by storm is now entering the swim apparel market. To showcase their new collection, the team put on a spectacular event in a beautiful house in Los Angeles, CA.

Approaching the residence, the women’s swim collection was on display in the center of the house. Immediately able to tell the quality of the fabric was exceptional, and the silhouettes of all the women’s pieces depicted originality. A few of the styles included were different variations of bandeau bikini tops and flattering one pieces. The crowd favorite from the women’s collection was the Noa String Tie One Piece in wild wisteria. The piece is appropriate to wear around your grandparents, but desirable enough to wear at a pool party with friends.

The assortment of mens swim garments were to die for. The wardrobe consisted of chic colored swim trunks made with chlorine resistant material. The mens collections also  included a matching terry-cloth shirt and shorts for throwing on when you hop out the pool. The athleisure brand’s design team had really outdone themselves with this compilation of swimwear.

“Our members love Fabletics because they can count on us to always offer something new and bold. Wandering towards the back of the home, an enormous backyard with the guests participating in yoga and enjoying brunch with an amazing view of Los Angeles. Attendees were welcomed to blueberry muffins, croissants, fruit cups and more. There was also a bar that was serving coffee, pressed juice and hard kombucha.

The entire event was planned extremely well, and the whole collection exhibited versatility. The emphasis on the brand trying to be inclusive of all body shapes and sizes is admirable. AeroMobil

AeroMobil: The World’s First Flying Car

By Krish Narsinghani

As of late, 360 Magazine, had the opportunity to sit down with AeroMobil’s Chief Commercial Officer, Karl Hermanns, to discuss the first ever vehicle to fly and drive, the AeroMobil 4.0. The 360 team witnessed its beauty in-person and sat in the two-passenger cockpit whilst asking all the burnings questions that would be flying through one’s head. No pun intended.

Coming from the luxury brand and art space, Hermanns, was recently onboarded to strategize the launch plans and release for later this year. Currently in the soft launch phase, the world can expect the Aeromobil to be available for pre-order later this year and delivered to the first customers in 2024. With hundreds of hours of flight testing, the prototype is currently in Europe.

“We’ve all seen flying cars in movies and Science-Fiction for years and years. It’s finally real and will be in the sky two years from now… it’s an engineering miracle,” Hermanns pointed.

The 4.0 model number attached to the name stems from the 4th iteration of design for the craft – it’s been in development for about ten years. Each iteration has advanced the aerodynamics, technology and overall flight experience. For hundreds of years, it’s been impossible to get the science right but the engineering team, based in Europe, have solved travel hybridity for the first time. An engineer from the team was on-site and explained that the hardest challenge was getting the weight and proportions right of the two-ton beast to ensure proper takeoff when thinking of adding two passengers, fuel and baggage.

From an opening glance, the model screams Back to the Future. With wings spanning a total of thirty feet, the AeroMobil was the hottest attraction for guests wandering the Petersen Automotive Museum. The invention is fully automated with the wings folding into the body of the vehicle in under 90 seconds. It’s similar to those of a bird or insect the way it functions. It’s twenty feet in length and slender look may have a driver intimated at first, when in actuality, it’s size is comparable to that of an F-150 or Escalade. It’s worth noting that a four-seater version is also in design meant to be used as a ride-sharing service. Call it a “flying Uber” if you will, measured at an untapped 70 billion dollar market.

The vehicle wasn’t designed to compete with hyper cars at lightning speeds but for the intended use of traveling between land and air. Top driving speed is set at 100mph while flying spews a solid 160mph and 300 horsepower. With a range of 320 miles driving and 460 miles flying, passengers can minimize travel time and compete full trips with the one fuel up.

Comparatively, fully electric flying vehicles might be coming the market soon, but as of now they are less far along in terms of milage range. eVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing) vehicles have a subsequently shorter flying distances of ten miles or so at a time, due to batteries weighing down the aircraft. The AeroMobil can be fueled at any normal gas station and only requires a 400 yard ramp for takeoff and landing. Talk about conveniency when saving more time driving all day, beating out traffic, and even dealing with delays at the the airport!

A light aircraft private pilot’s license is required to fly. Forty hours of training are required to get said license. A massive portion of the ten thousand landing strips are under utilized but are open to the public, plus infrastructure that’s already built. The AeroMobil will be priced at approximately two million USD.

A show model is currently available for viewing at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles. Watch the commercial at the following link.

Johnnie Walker for Angel City FC

By Yash Thadani, Krishan Narsinghani

Johnnie Walker, the notably acclaimed scotch-whiskey brand, has launched a long-term initiative, First Strides. To kick-start this enterprise, an exclusive event was held at Los Angeles’s very own Catch One with Johnnie Walker doing a collaboration with the Los Angeles professional women’s soccer team Angel City FC. The Mid-City nightclub was the perfect venue to celebrate the steps that are being taken for women’s progression, and what better way to portray women’s forwardness by having the Angel City FC soccer team in representation.

Immediately upon entering, the right side of the venue had a soccer goal being used as an aesthetic for pictures. Straight ahead of the cabaret, the drink menu presented different variations of Johnnie Walker cocktails. The crowd favorite was called Welcome to LA, a gingery-lemony drink that contained a heavy pour of Black Label. In the interim while waiting for the drinks to be dealt, a multitude of servers were walking around passing out the variety of hor d’oeuvres. There were small plates with dishes like tuna tartar, mini cheeseburgers and more. As the attendees wrapped up their post-dinner snack, guests were directed to go towards the rear of the building.

The back of Catch One is where the majority of the invitees continued to mingle and enjoy the party. The night really began when the live show commenced. The Los Angeles Marching Band, and upcoming artist Tia P performed the newly released ACFC anthem Running with the Angels. This track was created by five-time Grammy Award-winning artist Brittany Howard and LA-based artist Tia P. The anthem is an ode to the team’s trailblazing spirit, as the world’s first majority women-founded, owned and operated pro-soccer team. The song will serve as a celebratory anthem for the team and their fans. Key members of the Angel City FC community including Christen Press and Julie Ertz. VIPs attended, including the likes of Lilly Singh, Kenya Barris and more. Safe to say, the live performance of the Angel City FC’s newly commended track was the highlight of the evening. It was the perfect depiction of the proclivity behind pushing women forward.

Along with the hype anthem release, Johnnie Walker will enable more people to take bold steps towards progress through a series of First Strides grants. Anyone 21+ can apply for a First Stride grant but the brand will continue to dedicate funding to communities where inequality exists. Through a partnership with go-to crowdfunding marketplace IFundWomen, Johnnie Walker will continue to support women entrepreneurs and fuel women-owned businesses. The brand is also introducing a grants and mentorship program with first-of-its-kind streaming service Blacktag, who is changing the model for pay equity among black creators.

Catch One, formerly known as Jewel’s Catch One, was a landmark for the city of Los Angeles. This iconic night club was originally known as the longest standing gay dance-bar, and Initially opened in 1973. Forty years later a new owner did a complete revamp of the location. This historic site still continues to serve its purpose for having a good time.

On Tour: Israel

In photo: Vaughn Lowery visits Israel.

While history, politics and religion are a few keywords that have become the main topic of conversation involving Israel, there’s another focus that the nation has geared up for – Israel tourism. Due to a major growth of cycling tourism in the country located in Western Asia, the government has recently invested 30 million dollars in promoting the national culture of biking.

Israel is now flowing with trails, tours and bike sharing programs, including the holiest “Biking the Path of Jesus” tours. We were recently able to grasp a taste of Israel tourism, starting off with the bike trails.

Chief mountain bike guide, Nimi Cohen, was the escort on a week-long unforgettable trek, experiencing the magic of Israel on two wheels. Originally from Israel, Cohen has been mountain biking for 20 years. Starting on the more extreme side of mountain biking in downhill and free-ride, after injury, Cohen is now a mountain and marathon racer; he is the epitome of expert.

To Cohen, life is about the Israeli single-track experience (single-track describes a narrow trail that is approximately the width of the bike). Cohen also runs a mountain biking school – named Mountain Goat, meaning to have incredible balance on the narrowest of paths – where he guides others through trips and clinics. (For more information, please visit HERE or contact Nimi Cohen directly at nimroditi@gmail.com.)

The Judean Hills, the Negev desert, Ramon Crater, the Arava Plains, and Eilat mountains.” These areas are all locations rideable 365 days a year. During the Israeli winter and spring, between October and April, they offer a great opportunity for a full-day epic ride, when the rest of the world (and the center and north of Israel) is covered in mud and snow,” explains Cohen. “Not to be afraid of trying new s**t… new stuff, but to do it moderately and slowly,” he shares some advice to new riders. He also recommends that bikers “ride in different terrains, as diverse terrains as you can get. You will become a complete and a whole rider.”

Bike Trails in Israel

Old Jaffa – Perfect for a night ride when visiting Tel Aviv. Bike riders can enjoy the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to Old Jaffa.

Galilee – These trails connect to the Holy Land and a number of religious and historical sites. Tourists can enjoy magnificent views and some technical flowing single-track riding along the Sea of Galilee.

Mount Carmel – Coastal mountain range on the Mediterranean Sea, about 24 miles long.

Ayalon National Park (Canada Park) – Located in the Judean Plain, this is a more communal and popular trail. Expect to see many others enjoying this all mountain loop.

Adulam – Kanim – Single-track located in the Tuscany of Israel. This is a seemingly endless, smooth flowing trail about 25 minutes southwest of Jerusalem.

Old City Jerusalem – Another stunning trail to ride along at night time.Sugar Route – This is a 17-mile bike trail linking Jerusalem to Jerico.

Sde Boker – The Halukim Wadi single-track, this is the center for astonishing desert biking.Ramon Crater – A panoramic ride along the cliff of these geological phenomena.

Shayarot Cliffs – Beautiful, all-mountain technical ride, near the Arava Valley.

Timna Park – Manmade single-track ride at the site of the ancient copper mines, which is now a geological park.

Eilat Beach – Once a tiny kibbutz, Eilat is currently a center for tourism and bike riding. Trails surrounded by a view of poetic red mountains and deep blue sea. Tourists can find rough desert all-mountain and downhill trails starting high up and ending at sea level.

Located near the Arava Valley, Kibbutz Samar offers the unique and ultimate experience of sleeping and biking in the desert at a spot called Samar Bike. Kibbutz is a communal settlement in Israel, typically a farm. During the visit, we met one of the creators of Samar Bike, Yair Sela. “We want to live in a place that we live as we want to live,”he comments on being a part of Kibbutz Samar.

Along the way, we also met Faran Zeira, whose parents founded Neot Semadar 25 years ago when she was only two years old. Even though she was only a young girl, Zeira (born in Jerusalem) affirms that she chose to be a part of the kibbutz.

“Kibbutz is a kind of community of people choosing to leave the city together, sharing things less than having things to own privately. This kibbutz is a bit different, the main issue here is the interest of learning… learning how to share, how to live together. Learning how not to push things aside, but how to deal with them,” says Zeira. “You chose to be here, it’s family, 150 people living here. It’s really intimate. If people don’t have an interest, they don’t stay.”

Kibbutz living may be far from the Israeli city life, but one thing is certain: both share the passion of riding. Ross Belfer, an account supervisor at WEILL – a public relations and marketing company in travel and tourism – is a Tel Aviv local, who knows where all the cool spots are. Belfer shares his insider-look into the city life, “Tel Aviv is surely a city of the ‘now,’ with new bars, restaurants, galleries and creative hangout spots popping up at rapid speeds. The best means to explore Tel Aviv is through the perspective of a local who best knows the city, whether it’d be the top spot for late night bites or simply a quiet and serene look-out point in Jaffa, secluded from and unknown by tourists.”

When in Israel, why not experience thrilling Israeli city life while on two wheels? Another huge part of Israel tourism is its constantly adapting and evolving cuisine. For first-timers, Belfer suggests checking out Eager Tourist, a hyperlocal travel concierge which arranges tailor-made experiences in Tel Aviv within the realms of art, music, nightlife, architecture, bike routes and beyond.

Eden House Boutique Hotel, Tel Aviv – This classical twelve-room property is located right in the middle between Tel Aviv’s vibrant Carmel Market and Mediterranean promenade. The modern day bed-and-breakfast spot has nothing on this place.

Traveling to Israel has never been easier than now. El Al Israel Airlines offers non-stop lights to Ben Gurion Airport (Tel Aviv), Israel’s main international airport. The location is convenient to go anywhere in Tel Aviv and start the adventure. The Israel Ministry of Tourism website is a great way to keep up with what’s happening, or be sure to check out 360 calendar listing for Tel Aviv (coming soon).

“It’s amazing…like NYC and Miami had a baby,” 360 Magazine President Vaughn Lowery concludes with excitement on our recent press tour to Tel Aviv. “I’ve never seen anything like it. Tel Aviv is a major untapped NYC type of place [with] so many young cool entrepreneurs.”

Slave Play

Slave Play

By Krish Narsinghani

As of late, 360 Magazine joined Center Theatre Group’s grand post-pandemic reopening of LA’s Mark Taper Forum. What better way to kickoff the return of the arts than with the highly acclaimed drama, Slave Play. Featuring moments of explicit content, the play has sparked controversy amongst the theater community. The diverse seven hundred or so person crowd watched as the playwright, Jeremy O. Harris, primed the show sharing how he started his journey in LA as an actor, and how his first finished work at Yale is currently being watched across the nation. This Broadway hit has planted itself in Downtown Los Angeles and is here to stay, stirring heads in the entertainment space as the city continues to expand in theatricals.

Guests experiencing the play for the first time were quickly drawn in with the opening scene set on a plantation field. To have a thickening plot is an understatement. Slave Play is a must-watch for everyone of all colors and backgrounds. A perfect release during Black History Month, this art can be used for pleasure or as an educational tool to celebrate and learn about ones Blackness in a relationship. Overall, the acting and curves in the storyline had the crowd at the edge of their seat and left us in awe. The minimal stage production and use of lighting surprisingly didn’t hinder the story and allowed the acting to shine through. The intimate theater actually improved the atmosphere where attendees could better hear and witness the grit and raw emotions of the leads, Antoinette Crowe-Legacy and Paul Alexander Nolan, without the need for traditional smoke and mirrors. The two played an interracial couple that expressed a wife’s frustration with viewpoints I’d never heard. The profanity did make me feel uncomfortable at times, but it’s needed to fully encapsulate one within the character conflict plus it pushes the script to feel more alive. It’s interesting how subtle some of the dialogue is between characters and still have fans pondering days later. The play is already a hot topic of pop culture conversations amongst Angelenos and it’s only the beginning.

A handful of celebrities attended the opening night including Tracee Ellis Ross, Mara Brock Akil, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Logan Browning, Ashley Blaine Featherson, Samira Wiley, Ashley Park, Sofia Boutella, Patrick Fabian, Wade Allain-Marcus and Malia Obama. The evening finished with a standing ovation and a toast with the Taper team. Slave Play is refreshing in taste and is highly recommended to anyone who enjoys progressive media in general.

More About Slave Play

It’s the most Tony Award®-nominated play in history. It stunned off-Broadway. Then it shocked Broadway. Now, Jeremy O. Harris, “a major new voice in the American theater” (Chicago Tribune), brings his “raw, revelatory, and revolutionary play” (The Daily Beast) to the Taper, in the same production that roiled New York. Directed by two-time NAACP and Obie Award® winner Robert O’Hara, Slave Play is “one of the best and most provocative new works to show up in years” (The New York Times).

At the MacGregor Plantation, nothing is as it seems, and yet everything is as it seems. It’s an antebellum fever-dream as three interracial couples converge to rip open history at the intersection of race, love, and sexuality in 21st-century America. It’s a world where the sex is as raw as the emotions, and the twists as salacious as the truth. Don’t dare shy away from this production that “reimagines the possibilities of what theatre can give us” (The New York Times).

Wisdome LA: Immersive Art Park

Wisdome LA, the city’s first and largest immersive art & music dome park, is back with another exhilarating experience. This free form “art battle” took place at an abstract venue tucked away in the Arts District of Los Angeles. The rules were simple – a group of twelve eclectic artists painted it out till the twenty-minute time period came to an end.

Initial thoughts walking into this dome shaped arena were perplexing. Futons were placed circling the locale for attendees to lounge along with two different stands for guests to purchase snacks and cocktails. In the center of the dome were twelve easels with the paint canvas displaying each individual artist’s name.

As the art battle commenced, the confusion of the crowd grew as they patiently watched these talented artists construct their masterpieces in twenty minutes. Viewers were doubtful at first on how well these paintings would turn out, but proven wrong as the timer winded down. Towards the end of the clock, all artisans had stunning finished pieces.

As the contest comes to culmination, an artist from Chicago, JUJU, took the trophy home as the medalist of this showdown. Wisdome LA is the place to be if you are looking for an enveloping and tranquil experience. Wisdome LA Co-Founder Stephen Powers says, “Wisdome LA’s key concept and main objective is to offer that virtual reality experience without goggles.” To be updated on future festivities refer to their website Wisdome.LA.
