Måneskin Tops Global Charts

MÅNESKIN ON TOP OF THE WORLD #1 ON THE SPOTIFY GLOBAL CHART WITH BEGGIN’ AND AT #8 WITH I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE

The Groundbreaking Young Rock Band Surpassed Olivia Rodrigo’s good 4 u And Notches A Third Day With The Platform’s Most Streamed Song In The World, And Is The Only Artist With TWO Tracks In The Chart’s Top-10

Måneskin is a high-octane powerhouse of onstage charisma and youthful energy… [they] transcended linguistic barrier[s]… break down gender barriers and champion self-expression… There is something very revolutionary about them. – THE NEW YORK TIMES

ITALY’S MÅNESKIN REIGNITES ROCK – Måneskin is leading the charge for the return of rock as the Eurovision winners light up global charts. They won with ‘ZITTI E BUONI,’ but it’s their English-language material, natch, that’s primed them for an international breakthrough. The band’s cover of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons’ ‘Beggin’ has soared on Spotify’s global chart, followed by ‘I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE…  Will Måneskin be the act that ends Olivia Rodrigo’s run at the top of Spotify global? – HITS Daily Double

Måneskin, the world’s most-streamed Italian artists on Spotify – with 34 million streams in the last month, just broke another unprecedented record, skyrocketing to number 1 on the Spotify Global Chart with Beggin’, and also cracking the world’s charts with I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE and ZITTI E BUONI.  All three of the tracks recently reached #1 On Spotify’s U.S. Viral 50 chart.

Zitti e Boni and I Wanna Be Your Slave are part of the band’s new album Teatro d’Ira – Vol. I, released on March 19, certified platinum in Italy and now basts over 400 million streams.

Following their epic win at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, Måneskin have climbed up the charts worldwide, achieving unprecedented results for Italian artists: they are the first Italian band in the history to crack the UK Singles Chart with two singles at the same time – at #6 and #10 – and collecting new gold and platinum certifications every week, in Italy and around the world.

MANESKIN ARE COMING FOR THE U.S. NEXT – the young Italian rock group has become a force to be reckoned with this year. And in just the past few weeks, their profile in the United States has taken a giant leap…Maneskin’s English-language single ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave,’ a song now helping to bring rock music back to the airwaves in the United Kingdom, started rocketing up the U.S. charts as well. ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave’ hit the top of Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart the week of June 26, becoming the act’s first stateside No. 1. It makes perfect sense when considering the accessible strain of rock that Maneskin produce — a bouncy, guitar-fueled sound that brings to mind the 2000s garage rock explosion… Yet Maneskin’s production style is more polished, lending itself to the massive amount of radio airplay and internet spins they’ve amassed – LOUDWIRE

There’s an alluringly dark look in Damiano David’s black-lined eyes that’s almost like a challenge… David looks like he was hewn by an ancient Roman god of rock and roll — and sex. When I think of a sex symbol, I think of David… His band, Måneskin, is pushing boundaries and bringing a modernized glam rock into the limelight. Their surge to popularity hopefully marks a resurgence era of rock… While many of the artists I characterize as glam rock used their ambiguous, flamboyant dress as a form of expression for their sexuality, Måneskin is normalizing a more gender-fluid presentation…Måneskin could care less about social constructs. Everything about them is art… These 20-year-olds are embodying the Gen-Z tendency for nonconformity and a distaste for machismo’s objectification of women and hindrance of men’s actions and appearance. The way they present themselves is a visual treat… [and] completely badass… The way that Måneskin incorporates gender-bending fashion is tantalizing and only adds to their sex appeal …There’s a spirit and sensuality. They’re starting a conversation and to me that means they’re doing something new and right… Måneskin’s conversion of glam rock into a modern rock look, while creating global hits is going to make them eternal. – Megan Ramsey. Daily Nexus

BIOGRAPHY

Revelation of the year, Måneskin, which means moonlight in Danish, is formed by: vocalist Damiano, bassist Victoria, guitarist Thomas and drummer Ethan. Some band members have been friends since junior high, but they started playing together only in 2015. Their sound is characterized by a combination of the different members’ music influences: a mix of rock ’n’ roll, rap/hip hop, reggae, funky and pop, all held together by lead vocalist Damiano’s soulful voice. This combination of vibes is also reflected in the band’s look, made unique by each member’s fashionable style. The young artists had the chance to really stand out and reach out to the public at the X Factor 11 live shows, where they unexpectedly dominated the stage, a great endeavour given their very young age. Chosen, their debut single that was released during the show, boasts several million streams and views and was certified double platinum. Chosen is also the title of their debut EP, released in December 2017 by Sony Music and produced by Lucio Fabbri, which was certified platinum just two months after it was released.

All the dates of their first 21-date tour produced by Vivo Concerti (February/April 2018) sold out in a few hours. The single Morirò da Re (three-times platinum) was released in March 2018, followed by Torna a casa (five-times platinum). These tracks paved the way for the new album Il ballo della vita  entirely written by Måneskin and produced in collaboration with Fabrizio Ferraguzzo, which was released on October 26, 2018. The record made its debut at #1 on the FIMI/Gfk chart with four singles earning a spot on the Top Ten and, less than two hours after its release, it peaked to #1 on iTunes, cracking, just a day after its release, the Spotify TOP 50 with all its songs and hitting 1 million streams in less than 24h. In February 2019, the band went on tour across Europe, before returning to the best music clubs and festivals in Italy as part of the spring-summer leg of IL BALLO DELLA VITA TOUR, which ended on September 14, 2019 with a special date at Carroponte in Milan. Måneskin then performed at a sold-out special live show held on November 28, 2019 at The Dome in London.

Damiano, Victoria, Thomas and Ethan have so far earned 23 platinum and 5 gold records, collecting over 140,000 tickets sold and 70 sold-out dates in Italy and Europe. On October 30, 2020 they released their new single Vent’Anni, accompanied by a campaign shot by celebrated photographer Oliviero Toscani. Måneskin won the 71st Sanremo Music Festival with the song ZITTI E BUONI, and then conquered the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. The release of their second album Teatro d’ira – Vol. I on March 19, 2021 will be followed by a 13-date tour held, for the first time ever, at sports arenas across Italy, which will kick off in December 2021 and end at the Arena di Verona on April 23, 2022, as well as by a tour across Europe’s greatest Music Festivals, which is scheduled for the summer of 2022.

ABOUT BUTCH DAWSON

Butch Dawson’s artistic journey is a testament to what can happen when someone doesn’t place any parameters around their creativity. The West Baltimore native has been a pivotal figure in his hometown’s hip-hop scene for a decade, starting as a battle rapper while still in high school. In the years following those embryonic stages, Butch’s artistry began to blossom as he developed his skills in constructing songs, producing for himself and others, while also finding innovative ways to promote what he and his peers were making. In the early half of the 2010ߣs, his music reflected the shit-talking, bounciness that rappers trying to get crowds to jump and down to their songs reflected at the time. But towards the middle of the decade, with songs like Red Leather Chair, his sound started to trend more towards a jazzy, melancholy direction where he was able to peel back his emotional layers in a way that he hadn’t before. As time progressed, Butch’s music has become a down-the-middle split between making you want to punch a hole through the wall and inspiring you to sit back and gather your thoughts about life, past, present and future.

And while his career evolved over this span of time, Butch was simultaneously helping usher in an alternative route for rappers trying to break out of Baltimore. He hails from the Pennsylvania Avenue section of West Baltimore, an area steeped in musical history. Clubs like the former Royal Theater regularly hosted Black musical icons like Billie Holiday and visiting artists as they hit the Chitlin’ Circuit. But during Butch’s lifetime, though still an essential part of Black Baltimore culture, Pennsylvania Avenue regressed into a shell of its former self, with the majority of nightlife destinations vanishing, while crime and dilapidation rose considerably. This pushed a young creative Butch who was hungry for inspiration to start looking past his neighborhood and other familiar parts of the city. What he found was Central Baltimore’s transplant-heavy alternative DIY scene, and it opened his mind to a new way to approach his work.

Getting into that scene helped me evolve artistically because, you know, I was more open to different shit, he says. Living in the hood and shit all day, you can be close-minded a little bit if you don’t go out and just see the world for yourself. So for me, just going out there and just seeing people soak all this music up, it allowed me to just open my mind creatively, and it made me become more experimental with my music.

As he was making his way in the alternative scene, tirelessly releasing collaborative projects with others in that orbit, establishing the Basement Rap collective with like-minded friends, and getting coverage from national music platforms, Butch was inspiring other kids from inner city Baltimore to spread their wings. It also made Baltimore a much more enticing destination for artists from elsewhere, like standout rapper and producer JPEGMAFIA who moved to the city in 2014 and began collaborating with Butch almost instantly. For this, Butch Dawson is already a pioneer, which makes his recent accomplishments all the more special.

In 2018, he released his breakout project Swamp Boy, an eight-track album that is the most complete representation of what makes him exceptional. It features songs like Division St. Blues, a somber ode to the street he grew up on and how it’s changed over the years. Around the same time, he began to model for and collaborate with fashion designer Telfar Clemens. In 2019, he followed Swamp Boy with Ollieworld, a more high octane project that felt like it was made with performing live in mind (he toured with JPEGMAFIA across North America that year). The majority of this was accomplished from Butch’s home studio in Baltimore. And now as he’s newly signed to Asylum Records, it feels like the rest of the world will finally be hip to the gifts that he’s been sharing for over ten years now.

Meya Platform Announces Partnership with Artists Jamie Jones and Lee Burridge

Music and Meditation Platform MEYA Announces Jamie Jones and Lee Burridge as New Partner

Artist Partners to Contribute Exclusive Productions Fusing Electronic Music, Psychoacoustics, and Meditation to Bridge the Gap Between Music and Mindfulness

Download the MEYA App to Experience the Exclusive Music Mind Journey via the App Store and Google Play Store

Well-being, music, and meditation platform MEYA has announced electronic music’s leading artists Jamie Jones and Lee Burridge as new equity partners. Jones and Burridge will contribute exclusive tracks and meditation remixes to the app as part of their Music Mind Journey series, which bridges the gap between music, meditation, and mental health.

The collaborative project aims to transcend the typical confines of meditation, interweaving multi-level brainwave entrainment and vocal guidance with the deeply immersive experiences and psychoacoustic effects achieved through music. This unique fusion allows users to make meditation as empowering as an unforgettable experience on the dancefloor or as deep and emotional as listening to your favorite songs.

Download MEYA to Hear Exclusive Music from Jamie Jones and Lee Burridge via Apple and Google Play

Fans of electronic music know the genre has an ability to trigger states of deep presence, elevation, and connectedness, similar to those achieved through meditation. MEYA harnesses and infuses specific sound frequencies and rhythmic arrangements in its meditation practices in order to trigger the same peak moments that Jamie and Lee are renowned for.

MEYA’s new partners bring their own experience with both meditation and the stresses they’ve faced in the world of dance music to the platform, helping others overcome the hurdles of mental health felt around the industry and beyond.

Speaking on the MAYA platform, Jamie Jones stated What I like about MEYA is that I’ve always found the different frequencies that are used to record music very interesting. I came across 432 a few years before I discovered the MEYA app. I was really intrigued to find out whether your body did feel differently listening to music tuned to this frequency. I noticed I only had to meditate for half as long to get the same feeling. I felt that the combination of mediation and the sounds available made it much easier and more effective in a shorter period of time. I was gaining the same benefits in half the amount of meditation time. In my opinion, it definitely feels like you get more out of it without having to be as advanced or meditate for as long.

Jamie’s first exclusive MEYA production sets the stage for a special Music Mind Journey titled Choice. It’s a dreamlike track featuring delicate piano and relaxing synth work that is perfect for letting go and giving yourself a moment of calm. This feeling is enhanced by embedded vocal guidance that, like a guided meditation, invites listeners to breathe and achieve a deep state of presence, acceptance, and self-love. Its empowering lyrics remind listeners that you always have a choice to love yourself while building on your strengths.

Lee Burridge’s first contribution to the platform is a unique remix of his iconic track Float On from the collaborative 2019 album Melt on Lost Desert. The song pulls listeners into the melodic and entrancing world that All Day I Dream has fostered over the past decade at events around the world. Now, a meditation remix of the song is available to MEYA users looking to dig deeper and understand the concept of awakening and achievement more fully, featuring vocals inviting listeners to change your perspective on life…from a victim mentality to a victorious reality.

The revolutionary MEYA platform harnesses the human affinity for rhythm and connectivity through dance to help users reduce stress, quieten the mind, and reach meditative states more easily and deeply. The peak experiences and flow states felt on the dance floor can be translated into science-backed practice, bringing moments of awakening into everyday life.

Each stage of the MEYA journey – Music, Mind, and Awakening – is enriched with binaural beats and is recorded in 432hz, a healing frequency used in ancient traditions that facilitates relaxation and alleviates physical and emotional stress. Each meditation session is available with a wide selection of music genres: from ambient soundscapes to organic downtempo shamanic rhythms and uplifting electronic beats in order to assist with focus, sleep, meditation, movement, motivation, relaxation, and inspiration.

In MEYA founder Raffaele Ricci’s own words, We are very excited to have Lee and Jamie on board, sharing the same vision to create electronic music to help more people with their mental and spiritual wellbeing. Our aim is to make meditation as easy and enjoyable as listening to a song and extend “beyond meditation” by sharing practices and insights to help unleash the inner power that we all have inside. Our mission is to help our users achieve an empowered and awakened mindset, equipping them with the tools to transform any life challenge into an opportunity.

With clubs and festivals having been impacted globally, MEYA and their artists believe there has never been a more pivotal time to remember the unifying power of music and its quantifiable psychological and physiological benefits. In this way, MEYA also provides a way forward for music industry professionals to overcome the stresses and anxieties surrounding the uncertainties of the field and around the clock commitments.

A recent study from a Help Musicians UK commissioned survey found that 71% of musicians experienced anxiety and/or panic attacks, while 68.5% experienced one or more episodes of depression during the course of their career. In response to this and the issues that impact mental health regardless of industry or location, MEYA aims to bring training into everyday life to relieve anxiety and give users control of their minds with the help of bespoke music content.

With over 15,000 users, 200 specially crafted tracks, and 100 guided meditation courses, MEYA offers a complete toolbox for those looking to maximize their mental and emotional potential in a turbulent world.

More About MEYA

Why does MEYA combine Music, Dance, and Meditation?

Music has the ability to shift our state of mind – from mood enhancement and relaxation to a sense of connection with others in a shared space. Similarly, meditation reduces the stress hormone cortisol, improves sleep, and rewires the brain.

Those who have attended dance music events and concerts know the feeling of connectivity shared between crowds, creating a single entity made from many unique participants. MEYA harnesses this idea of a vibe in a quantifiable psychological and physiological method.

Combining music and meditation is not a traditional way to meditate, but it has proven to work. When we are lost in music we get a taste of nirvana naturally without any rigorous training. MEYA leverages the power of music to switch off the mind, making meditation easier and more enjoyable than ever.

MEYA App Content

MEYA Music – Productions categorized by focus, chill, sound healing, sleep, and binaural beats.

King of the Dot Brings Rap Battles to Detroit via Twitch

KING OF THE DOT BRINGS THE HEAT TO DETROIT FOR THE THIRD ROUND OF RAP BATTLES

More than 250,000 viewers tuned in to Twitch to watch live as battle rappers competed in downtown Los Angeles in the second round of this year’s King of the Dot (KOTD).

Watch an Instagram recap of the second round HERE.

KOTD brings the most competitive rappers from across America to clash with flows in head-to-head battles. The top four competitors from each division will move into sudden-death S1 playoffs, which begin in November where they compete for one winner to take home $100,000 in cash.

Viewers on Twitch will be granted access to the exclusive closed set that offers a front-row seat for the battles. Not only will the battles be streamed for millions of fans around the world, but each fan will also play a role in voting on the winners.

Winners of each battle are determined by their Total Battle Score or TBS. A TBS is the score each of the four judges gives the competitor, with a maximum of 10 points and a minimum of seven points per round. Fan votes are weighed as though they make up a single judge, with the rappers getting points depending on whether the win was convincing or close. Each battle, an artist can accumulate a maximum of 150 points, or a minimum of 111 points across the three rounds.

KOTD now heads to Detroit, where rappers in the North region will battle it out. Upcoming matchups include the following:

Mackk Myron vs. Dallas Cash on July 4

Times vs. 100 Shot Frenchie on July 4

Ciddy vs. XQZ on July 4

MORE ON KOTD AND S1

As announced earlier this year, the six-month S1 format introduces a series of weekly episodes organized by King of the Dot and streamed exclusively on Twitch. In November, one winner will take home $100,000 USD and additional performance-based prizes. Catch one of the most intense rap face offs of the summer!&#a0;

Instead of the old East vs West rivalry from the 90ߣs hip-hop, the modern era has burgeoning scenes in every region. With an East, West, North, and South division, King of Dotߣs regional talent managers have courted the top talent from New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Atlanta, respectively, to clash for the life-changing grand prize.

League founder and owner Travis Organik Fleetwood says of the S1 partnership, After we saw how the Twitch community and Twitch team embraced battle rap in 2020, we didn’t even blink when we had the chance to make history with them in delivering S1. You learn more from people’s actions than you do from their words, and Twitch demonstrated that they are committed to creating the best experience for battle rap fans around the world every time the ball came their way. We look forward to bringing our audience onto the service for many more successful seasons.

King of the Dot events mix A-List celebrity guests and athletes with a dedicated audience who travel far and wide to participate in the spectacle. Artists like Ice T, Deadmau5, Method Man, and the OVO front-man Drake, who once knighted himself as KOTD’s #1 fan, have helped the league grow to become renowned as the worldwide leader in innovation for this space.

The Canadian King of the Dot league has always been first-movers in the battle rap space with smaller leagues replicating their format for good reason. They were first to popularise winner-takes-all tournaments, the first to create the Pay-Per-View model that is now deployed globally, and the first to launch and license a number of the formats which ultimately define the culture today, including the introduction of seasonality.

S1 seasonality is the only logical step for our league, artists, and partners. The regular cadence enables artists to make new fans every week, from every corner of the map, and puts them in a position to capitalize on their talent all year round. We’re filling Madison Square Garden twice with the number of viewers passing through these streams and our artists deserve even bigger audiences, says Charles Morgan, owner of King of the Dot.

The season will air live battles every Sunday at 12pm pst/3pm est, alongside an exciting slate of lifestyle content featuring artists from the league and around the world. The full programming schedule, covering sports, gaming, music, and culture, will be made available exclusively to viewers on Twitch.

Keep up with King of the Dot via their website, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Twitch

ABOUT TRAVIS ORGANIK FLEETWOOD

Hip-hop booms everywhere – from basements and street corners to arenas and stadiums. Travis Organik Fleetwood has brought the King Of the Dot battle rap league to every corner of the culture supported by a rapt and rabid audience of millions. The Toronto native has evolved from a deft and dynamic wordsmith himself, into one of the most influential executives in the game, respected by icons such as Drake and touted by Vice, The Source, Music Business Worldwide, AllHipHop, and many more.

It all stems from an unwavering passion and commitment to hip-hop.

He discovered that purpose as a kid just outside of Toronto. Gravitating towards hip-hop, he not only loaded up his computer with at least 30,000 songs downloaded on Limewire, but also recordings of battles and videos. The artform of wordplay immediately grabbed his attention. Obsessed with Big L, Chino XL, Method Man, and more, he recorded his own rudimentary loops from an Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) tape and cut his own verses. By high school, he started battling. He triumphed in one competition after another (often returning to win again in subsequent years). He emerged victorious at Canadian BET’s Canadian Spring Bling, Proud 2 B Eh Battle MC, and the World Rap Championship.

ISAAC DUNBAR RELEASES NEW TRACK Celebrate

The teen indie-pop star on the rise makes music that’s achingly vulnerable and cuts straight to the core – Time Magazine

the teenage pop artist conquering societal doubt and embracing his inner self – Billboard

…the real deal… – Billboard

At only 17 years old, it’s safe to say that Isaac Dunbar is a verifiable wunderkind – Paper Magazine

Young trailblazing artist Isaac Dunbar releases his newest track Celebrate just in time for July 4th weekend via RCA Records. Listen HERE. This release follows Isaac’s critically acclaimed 3rd EP evil twin which was released at the top of the year. Billboard said …evil twin still goes out of its way to prove itself as a tour de force for the pop wunderkind.

Isaac says, Celebrate is about waking up and choosing happiness every single day instead of getting stuck in your own negativity. It’s sometimes easier to stay in a negative space than move to a positive one so with this song I wanted to bring awareness to that and to give people a reason to choose to Celebrate each day.

Last year, Isaac released his isaac’s insects EP that featured tracks like comme des garçons (like the boys) which E! News dubbed unbelievably catchy, scorton’s creek which Idolator called his best single yet and makeup drawer where PAPER Magazine praised its bright melody and was featured in NPR’s Best Music of 2020 column. His miss america track was declared a …soaring, powerful ballad… by The Interns. Check out the music video for miss america HERE.

GZA the Genius × Virgil Abloh – Liquid Swords (Amen Break Version)

GZA The Genius x Louis Vuitton Release Music Video Liquid Swords (Amen Break Version)

GZA The Genius teams up with Louis Vuitton to release Liquid Swords (Amen Break Version), premiering on Friday, July 2nd at 9:00AM (EST). This collaboration between Louis Vuitton and GZA features a set partly derived from the artwork and packaging of his seminal and critically acclaimed album Liquid Swords.

Watch the premiere of Liquid Swords (Amen Break Version) on Friday, July 2nd at 9:00AM (EST), HERE.

Recently, GZA collaborated with Benji B and Virgil Abloh to create a film, Amen Break, for the Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2022 Collection.

In 1995, the Brooklyn-born hip-hop artist GZA released the album Liquid Swords, named after the 1993 film Legends of the Liquid Sword. Underpinned by the teachings of martial arts – already a recurring motif in the work of his group, Wu-Tang Clan – the record further integrated elements from the 1980 film Shogun Assassin and dealt with philosophical themes analogized through the game of chess. GZA employed the virtues of composure native to martial arts to express values of mental strength through physical self-discipline. His contributions to hip-hop made it a truly global, bringing elements of the far east to New York, creating an almost mythological New York City, that became the basis of inspiration for this year’s Louis Vuitton’s men’s spring summer 2022 fashion show and features in the Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2022 film.

GZA is a true pioneer of many of the elements of hip-hop. His visionary storytelling style and groundbreaking ability to mix double entendres with rhyming couplets that compliment cinematic beats has made him one of the most important MCs of all time.

I had the immense privilege of writing this song with the extraordinary Justin Tranter, Oak Felder and Carol Ades. We wrote, recorded and produced this record in a few hours; it was magical, said Carson.

She commented, He Loves Me, But… is the next chapter of my story. The story of what happens after you’ve fallen into a deceivingly beautiful love that breaks your heart. To anyone who’s ever been told, ‘I love you, but…’, this song is for you.

The song is a beautiful marriage of R&B and Pop. Throughout the record, a prominent bass line acts as the heartbeat of the song, as Carson’s soulful vocals sing, He loves me, loves me, loves me, but… turning heartbreak into a witty celebration of freedom.

The visual story of the music video is told through the element of Earth. Directed by Uri Schutzer, the music video delivers a stunning and captivating visual as Carson performs striking choreography before the setting desert sun.

This is a deeply personal record for me…and I’m so happy to share it with the world. I hope that whoever listens to this song, hears a part of their story in mine. says Carson.

Carson recently kicked off this new chapter of music with her hit single Fool’s Gold. The song broke the Billboard Pop Airplay Chart and Top 40 Radio for 6 consecutive weeks.

MADE TELEVISION DEBUT PERFORMING BEAT BOX DURING 2021 BET AWARDS PRE-SHOW

Rising Florida rap star SpotemGottem unveils the dynamic music video for track Dirty Diana from Most Wanted, the aptly titled mixtape released earlier this year that affirmed his status as Florida’s next up. Fresh off going platinum with his breakout single Beat Box, SpotemGottem’s Dirty Diana video is a Rice Cognac directed visual in which SpotemGottem effortlessly raps while the record pulsates around him with authentic street energy.

On Sunday, SpotemGottem made his television debut during the 2021 BET Awards pre-show where he performed a high-energy minute-long performance of his viral hit Beat Box alongside JuneBug. Watch the clip HERE.

About SpotemGottem

At just 19 years of age, SpotemGottem caught the attention of the Florida rap scene and is ready to take over. In April 2020, the Jacksonville-based artist released Final Destination, a 13-track project featuring the explosive viral sensation Beat Box that has taken the world by storm. The immense cultural impact of the record is evident in the range of remixes that the massive hit has seen over the past few months. With heavyweights like DaBaby, Mulatto, Shenseea, Pooh Sheisty, Polo G, and NLE Choppa (among many others) having adopted their own remixes, the song continues to rise alongside SpotemGottem’s momentum. In just the past few months alone the artist has gained playlist adds from Spotify’s coveted Rap Caviar, Teen Party, and Most Necessary as well as Apple Music’s Rap Life, Global Hits, Future Hits and The Plug. He’s also landed playlist covers from Spotify’s Internet People and Apple Music’s On Repeat. This past week, Beat Box rose to the #1 spot at Urban Radio as Geffen’s second #1 record just this year. The song, which rose to the #1 spot in dramatic fashion as the greatest spin gainer of the week, also just reached the major milestone of surpassing the Platinum mark with 1 million equivalent sales.

With cosigns of major hip hop heavyweights for his seemingly effortless freestyles and hard-hitting beats, SpotemGottem has officially earned his place among one of the most recognized talents to come from the Florida scene. Now at nearly 6M monthly listeners on Spotify alone, and over 1M created on TikTok with Beat Box, his explosive rise continues to reach previously untapped corners of the music scene. The song alone has gained recognition from VULTURE, PAPER, COMPLEX, STEREOGUM, XXL and HIP HOP DX to name a few, and landed him on COMPLEX’s coveted Rappers To Watch in 2021 list. The young talent shows no signs of slowing down and continues to prove himself as one of the top artists to watch in 2021 and beyond. Now, while he continues to collaborate with some of the top names in music to add their own spin to Beat Box, he is gearing up to deliver his forthcoming project out later this year.
