Not to mention, Cole Bennett, Internet Money, Lil Tecca, Trippie Redd, Yung Bans, and more have publicly endorsed KA$HDAMI. Epiphany includes KA$HDAMI’s recent single Dior and the viral banger Look N The Mirror!. The latter crashed the Top 20 of the Spotify Viral Chart and Top 25 on the Rolling Stone Breakthrough 25 Chart, while Pitchfork proclaimed, Must Hear Rap Song of the Day. It has already racked more than 20 million total streams.

With bold bars and electrifying flows, KA$HDAMI initially set TikTok on fire with Kappin Up. At just 12-years-old, he accumulated traction on Soundcloud as part of the hvmor rap collective. As he took off online solo, he served up the independent projects #KashDontMiss and 16.

Hip-hop will have an Epiphany about KA$HDAMI’s greatness in 2021.

Nipsey Hussle Biography ‘The Marathon Don’t Stop’

Rob Kenner is one of the most prolific and influential voices in hip hop publishing and a founding editor of Vibe magazine.

After meeting Nipsey Hussle in the offices of Vibe, Kenner spent the next ten years tracking the life and career of the hip hop mogul, artist, and activist. THE MARATHON DON’T STOP: The Life and Times of Nipsey Hussle by Rob Kenner (Atria Books; Hardcover; March 23, 2021; $27.00; ISBN: 9781982140298) is the first in-depth biography of Nipsey Hussle, whose transformative legacy inspired a generation with his motivational lyrics and visionary business savvy—before he was tragically shot down on March 31, 2019 in the very neighborhood he was dedicated to building up. August 15th is Nipsey Hussle’s birthday. He would be turning 36 this year.

Combining on-the-ground reporting and candid interviews with Hussle’s friends, family, and peers, THE MARATHON DON’T STOP traces the life and work of an extraordinary artist, placing him in historical context and unpacking his complex legacy.

Some details of Hussle’s life that Kenner can discuss in an interview include:

  • Ermias Asghedom, before he was Nipsey Hussle, was a brilliant, soft-spoken, and underestimated young man who loved hip hop with a passion and was determined to build his own successful music label and clothing business—as well as other businesses that would employ many members of his community.
  • His life in the Crenshaw District starting in 1985, placing Hussle in historical context within the evolution of Hip Hop, Los Angeles, and America.
  • Hussle’s genius as a teenager who built his own computers and went on to push the envelope of technology in growing his businesses as well as innovating new revenue models for independent musicians that have since been adopted by the mainstream music industry
  • Hussle’s life-changing trip to Africa to visit his father’s family in Eritrea, as well as his little-known first meeting with Afeni Shakur, long before he called himself the ‘Tupac of My Generation’ or even took the rap name Nipsey Hussle.
  • Hussle’s impact as an activist, and his efforts to re-align L.A. gang culture with the mission of organizations like the Black Panthers…AND MORE.

Rob Kenner is one of the most prolific and influential voices in hip hop publishing. A founding editor of Vibe, Kenner joined the start-up team of Quincy Jones’ groundbreaking hip hop monthly in 1992. During a nineteen-year run at Vibe he edited and wrote cover and feature stories on iconic cultural figures ranging from Tupac Shakur to Barack Obama as well as writing the acclaimed column Boomshots. Kenner’s writing has appeared in Complex, Genius, Mass Appeal, Pigeons & Planes, Ego Trip, Poetry magazine, The New York Times, and Billboard. He’s also produced and directed documentary shorts on the likes of De La Soul, Nas, and Post Malone. As an editor at Vibe Books, Kenner worked on the New York Times bestseller Tupac Shakur and contributed to The Vibe History of Hip Hop. He went on to co-author VX: 10 Years of Vibe Photography and produced the book Unbelievable, a biography of The Notorious B.I.G. by Cheo Hodari Coker Jr., which was optioned for the motion picture Notorious.

In celebration of the announcement, he released his new track and music video Bad Habits (listen/watch here).  Bad Habits is the third track to be released this summer and will be featured on his forthcoming EP Lies I Tell Myself coming later this year.

I’ve been keeping touch with my younger self the past few months and he’s hyped. This is what we wanted way back when I started making music, so it’s surreal to say I’m a signed artist. I’m ecstatic to work with a label like Loud Robot/RCA that can keep stride with my hyperactive energy — I’m glad we’re doing it together 🙂

Additionally, Sally Boy is excited to announce the second season of his variety show The Sally Boy Show. The 4-episode season will showcase a mix of talent from the singer/songwriter as he performs, writes and directs the musical performances, comedy sketches, monologues and more.  Watch the trailer here.

Earlier this summer, Sally Boy released two additional tracks Chess & Checkers and Good At Being Lonely ft. Hong Kong Boyfriend both received several spots on playlists from Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music and have over half a million streams between the two.  Early Rising said Good At Being Lonely is purely infectious and Variance Magazine said Chess & Checkers is addictive, and delivers just the perfect summer vibes.

Loud Robot, the record label from J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot, announced its partnership with RCA Records last month.  Sally Boy is the second artist to be signed to the label.

About Sally Boy

The Philadelphia born, Los Angeles based singer songwriter hit the scene in 2020 with the release of his debut EP EREZ all while being a senior at USC majoring in popular music and minoring in philosophy.  The EP garnered accolades including being listed as one of Pigeons & Planes Best New Artist in September, features in Wonderland Magazine, Flaunt Magazine, American Songwriter’s Bringing It Backward Podcast, One’s To Watch and more.

Fletcher – Healing

FLETCHER DEBUTS THE OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR EMPOWERED NEW SINGLE HEALING WATCH HERE

FLETCHER debuts the official video for her new single Healing, a powerful anthem to reflect the times, one of self-awareness and discovery. Watch the video HERE and download/stream Healing HERE.

V Magazine said, In stunning new visuals co-directed by Fletcher and Ava Rikki, the rising artist enters a new era. Your next summer anthem has arrived… FLETCHER isn’t just a pop star but an artist and this music video is her testimony. A simplistic trap beat backgrounds (her) airy light vocals as she declares herself on the journey of self love and recovery, unlearning false self perceptions and entering the next phase of a glow-up journey.

Healing finds the acclaimed singer/songwriter reclaiming her interior resolve, making a natural progression from her critically-lauded EP THE S(EX) TAPES, a boldly personal project executive-produced by Malay (Lorde, Frank Ocean). Co-written with Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes, Khalid) and ALDAE (Justin Bieber, Kid Laroi), Healing is rooted in the raw emotional intimacy that FLETCHER is known for and offers her most gripping vocal performance to date.

NME said, ‘Healing’ (is) luminous…An ode to the reclamation of one’s inner strength, the new track shines with a soundscape of warm guitars and summery synth percussion, over which Fletcher boldly embraces her rawness and humanity. Variance declared, If purposeful pop is a thing, FLETCHER’s ‘Healing’ is absolutely it, and Uproxx named the soaring track, Best New Pop Music and said, leaning on a skittering beat, FLETCHER lilts powerful lines about the important of understanding there’s no such thing as a quick fix for your personal problems.

The process of making this song was really freeing, says FLETCHER. We’re all healing from something, she says. The world is healing right now. I can feel the collective energy of people waking up to their power and connecting to themselves in a way that humanity never has before. Healing isn’t a linear process, and it’ll take you on the most insane roller coaster ride of your life. But it’s worth the view at the top.

Currently at work on her debut album, Healing is FLETCHER’s first single since her 2020 hit Bitter, a track that’s amassed over 150 million streams to date. Hailed by Idolator as a breakup anthem for the ages, Bitter is a standout cut from THE S(EX) TAPES, a collection of magnetic and moody pop songs about finding your forever person before you find yourself and, as a result, needing to uncover the parts of you that remain unknown. Soon after arriving last September, the EP earned praise from outlets like Nylon, Teen Vogue, PAPER, SPIN (who noted there aren’t any rules when it comes to FLETCHER’s music) and more.

About FLETCHER

Praised by leading outlets like TIME, Wonderland, V Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Interview Magazine, GQ, The Guardian and more, FLETCHER hails from Asbury Park, New Jersey, where she cultivated her passion for music and her unforgettably candid storytelling. After graduating from NYU’s famed Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music, FLETCHER carved out a distinct space for herself in pop music, and in 2019 released her debut EP you ruined new york city for me via Capitol Records. The widely lauded EP features her breakthrough hit Undrunk, a track that spent several weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, scored the #1 spot on Spotify’s Viral Chart, emerged as the fastest-rising song at pop radio from a new artist in the past five years, and earned FLETCHER a nomination for iHeartRadio’s Best New Pop Artist. Over the years, FLETCHER has sold out several headline tours and landed impressive slots at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Life is Beautiful, and other major festivals. Released in September 2020, FLETCHER’s EP THE S(EX) TAPES hit No. 1 on iTunes across all genres and drew acclaim from outlets like Teen Vogue, SPIN, PAPER, and many others. An unfiltered look into FLETCHER’s world, the EP is a collection of magnetic and moody pop songs about feeling like you’ve found your forever person before you find yourself and, as a result, needing to uncover the parts of you that remain unknown. The EP’s lead single Bitter has now surpassed 150 million global streams. FLETCHER’s television performances include The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show and Ellen. An outspoken activist of the #MeToo movement throughout her career, FLETCHER released the 2018 track I Believe You in support of sexual assault survivors, garnering over 50 million streams to date. She was also recently nominated for a 2021 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist. One of FLETCHER’s latest tracks, Last Laugh is available now on the soundtrack to the Academy Award-winning film Promising Young Woman.

Unapologetic but impossibly smooth, What I Like shares some crucial insight into Destiny’s personality, listing off what she loves (matte-black Mercedes-AMGs, men who don’t talk too much) and what she can’t stand (driving the speed limit, dudes who expect her to pick up the check).

The release of What I Like coincides with the launch of Destiny’s Jordan Brand campaign, titled Delta of Destiny for the release of the Jordan Delta 2 shoe. The month-long campaign will be featured on Jordan’s social pages and on the Nike app. Every week until August 11th, Jordan Brand will be releasing content featuring Destiny Rogers with What I Like as the featured track.

Check out the Jordan Brand campaign on Instagram HERE and on the Nike App HERE.

Comments Destiny, I am so thankful to the Jordan family for a giving me the opportunity and platform to share my story and to feature some new music! It’s a dream come true.

What I Like follows Destiny’s just released track West Like feat Kalan.FrFr on which Destiny pays loving homage to her West Coast and Latin roots, laying down a groove-heavy, talk-box-enhanced track inspired by the classic G-Funk records of the early ’90s. Check out the video premiere on COMPLEX, watch the official video HERE and a live performance that debuted last week HERE

Since first breaking through with her boldly confident but carefree single Tomboy, which has generated 43 million views on YouTube (Watch HERE) and most recently covered by K-Pop super group Black Pink’s Lisa through a dance cover (Watch HERE) that has generated over 67 million views,  Destiny Rogers has staked her claim as an artist to watch. Growing up in the Northern California town of Lodi, the 21-year-old multi-faceted musician taught herself to play guitar at age 10 and soon started writing and self-producing her own songs. Soon after the 2019 premiere of Tomboy, a track that recently hit #12 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50, Destiny’s spectacular rise has included touring the world and writing for heavy hitters such as Alicia Keys, Khelani and G-Eazy, all while discovering a new sound that transcends genres to irresistible effect.

Check out her Genius Verified piece HERE which explores her debut Tomboy.

Destiny Rogers is currently in the studio working on new material.  Prior to West Like featuring Kalan.FrFr, Destiny released a reworking of Tomboy feat. Coi Leray, and linked up with Coi for a special TikTok to the song which was reposted on Instagram and praised by Kim Kardashian West.  In addition, K-Pop superstar B.I released his global single, Got It Like That featuring Destiny Rogers with Tyla Yaweh which debuted at #1 on Spotify’s K-Pop X-Overs chart and has generated over 4 million views on YouTube (Watch HERE).

About Destiny Rogers

21-year-old Destiny Rogers is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who was born and bred in Lodi, a small Northern California town. At age 6, she became obsessed with skateboarding and even thought she wanted to pursue her passion professionally. She grew up in the church with her father who is a youth pastor who listened to AC/DC and Mexican mother who listened to Mariachi music — Destiny was pulled in by the power of music. At age 9, she received her first guitar and by age 10 taught herself how to play by watching Justin Bieber covers online and began singing.

Ronnie Wood – Mr. Luck Live Album

RONNIE WOOD and the RONNIE WOOD BAND MR. LUCK, A TRIBUTE TO JIMMY REED LIVE AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL, OUT SEPTEMBER 17, 2021

Ronnie Wood and the Ronnie Wood Band return to the blues with the second installment of his live album trilogy – Mr. Luck – A Tribute to Jimmy Reed: Live at the Royal Albert Hall.

New release date for Mr. Luck – A Tribute to Jimmy Reed: Live at the Royal Albert Hall will now be released by BMG on September 17, 2021. The 18-track album features The Ronnie Wood Band including Mick Taylor with incredible special guests, Bobby Womack, Mick Hucknall, Paul Weller, and pays tribute to one of Ronnie’s musical heroes and major influences, the Mississippi electric blues pioneer Jimmy Reed.

The album is recorded live on a memorable night at the Royal Albert Hall on November 1, 2013. It features stunning tracks including Good Lover and Ghost of A Man. With unique album artwork specially created by Ronnie, Mr. Luck will be available digitally, on CD, as a vinyl release, and as a beautiful limited-edition dual-tone smoky blue vinyl.

A Tayle of Two Sidemen

When self-taught guitarist Eddie Taylor imparted his skills onto his friend Jimmy Reed, he surely couldn’t have imagined the effect this was to have on the Chicago blues scene. Backing up such luminaries as John Lee Hooker, he is best remembered for his work with his former student.

Sweet coincidence, then, that in 1974 another Taylor, Mick, would make way for Ronnie Wood in the Rolling Stones, paving the way for these two friends and celebrated guitarists to work on projects ever since. The culmination of this to date is Taylor’s place in The Ronnie Wood Band at the Royal Albert Hall for 2013’s Blues fest, where they played the now-legendary set that would come to birth to this recording.

In regard to Mr. Luck, Ronnie comments, Jimmy Reed was one of the premier influences on the Rolling Stones and all the bands that love American blues from that era until the present day. It is my honor to have the opportunity to celebrate his life and legacy with this tribute.

This album marks the second iteration in a trilogy of special and personal albums by Wood and the band, celebrating Ronnie’s musical heroes. The first album, Mad Lad explored the work of Chuck Berry as an emotional commemoration after Berry’s passing just over two years ago. Ronnie toured with Berry and was a lifelong fan.

Mirah Lehr’s Residency at Flying Horse

Flying Horse Editions Selects Mira Lehr For 2021 Visiting Artist Residency Program

Lehr’s New Editions of Original Works Created in Residency will Debut During Art Basel Miami Beach 2021 at INK Miami

Nationally Acclaimed Studio Invites World’s Leading Artists to Push Boundaries with Cutting-Edge Technology
Flying Horse Editions, the nationally acclaimed printmaking studio that invites some of the world’s leading artists for its Visiting Artist Residency Program, has chosen Mira Lehr for their select roster of artists for 2021. The studio is celebrated for cutting-edge technology and inspiring artists to push the boundaries of printmaking, in a kinetic setting among its team of master printmakers. In her new series, Lehr, now at the bold age of 86, is experimenting with explosives, fuses, plexiglass, watercolor, and inks ‒ exploring new ways to use nontraditional materials in the art of printmaking. Mira Lehr is a force of nature to be reckoned with, said Theo Lotz, the Director of Flying Horse Editions. She is a fearless explorer. Lehr’s body of work spans all media, not bound by one process. Her artistic energy and spirit are boundless. We knew that her bold approach to artmaking would lead to a great collaboration. Lehr thrives in our studio, which relishes the unexpected. Lehr’s new work created at this residency will debut during Miami Art Week/Art Basel Miami Beach 2021, at the INK Satellite Fair (December 1-5 at the Dorchester Hotel).
This fair is produced by the International Fine Print Dealers Association, and is recognized worldwide as one of the leading presentations of works on paper by internationally renowned artists. Lehr’s new limited editions will then tour nationwide with Flying Horse throughout 2022 at several art fairs across the U.S. and internationally. Her new work will also be presented at an opening reception at the studio, featuring live demonstrations of her process of igniting gunpowder and fuses to create her artworks. Flying Horse Editions was established in 1990 at the University of Central Florida. The artists invited to participate in the residency has included: Diana Al-Hadid, Elia Alba, Chakaia Booker, Will Cotton, Ke Francis, Luis Gispert, Eddie Martinez, Odili Donald Odita, and Toyin Ojih Odutola.
Lehr completed the first part of her studio residency in the spring, and will return to Flying Horse later this year to complete her new editions there. Every artwork in Lehr’s new editions will each be an original work of art that was created exclusively during the residency. They were each imagined with these trailblazing printmaking techniques in mind, and are each one of a kind. So far, Lehr has created a series of monotypes with watercolor prints created on plexiglass. She has also created a new lithograph with collage pieces that will be burned and ignited using the artist’s signature technique with fuses and gunpowder, for a new varied edition.
My experience at Flying Horse Editions has been a powerful new adventure in artmaking for me. I am honored to have been invited to their artist residency this year, said Mira Lehr. Their passionate commitment to the craft of printmaking is evident, they really put their hearts into the visiting artist’s experience . I was able to experiment with great freedom ‒ they encourage the artists to take risks, while remaining true to your voice.
This research space houses professional visiting artists for short term residencies with assistance from master printmakers and students. The artists’ drawings are scanned, manipulated digitally, and then put on a copper plate similar to what would have been used during Rembrandt’s time. Lehr’s nature-based imagery includes painting, design, sculpture and video installation. Her processes include innovative usage of resin, gunpowder, fire, Japanese paper, dyes and welded steel. Her paradoxically destructive yet creative fire techniques burn holes and leave imprints in her prints resulting in an even more layered and complicated final artwork. The resident artists invited to Flying Horse Editions have the benefit of working with a massive 300-ton hydraulic press that is dramatically colored red. This behemoth machine produces complex relief prints that expand the creative possibilities of what artists may have previously envisioned. Unlike traditional presses, this hydraulic press applies an immense amount of pressure, downward onto the printed area, yielding much more precise images, with several blocks in multiple colors. Because the printer requires such fine tuning, Siemens donated a sophisticated electronic system that tricks out the controls enabling unparalleled precision. Watch the high-tech colossus in action here.
The Visiting Artist Residency Program at Flying Horse Editions is made possible by the members of the institution, a grant from the Winifred Johnson Clive Foundation, and with funding by the Judith and David Albertson Endowment in the Arts. The goal of the program is to create a world-class initiative that promotes creative interaction between professional artists and students, while also creating sustainability within the printmaking field ‒ training the next generation of artists and printmakers.
Flying Horse Editions is a collaborative research center in the College of Arts and Humanities at the University of Central Florida, and a non-profit publisher of limited-edition prints, artist books, and art objects by internationally renowned artists.

About the Artist
Mira Lehr’s solo and group exhibitions number more than 300. She is a graduate of Vassar College (1956) with a degree in Art History, under the mentorship of Linda Nochlin, the renowned feminist art historian. Lehr will be the subject of a new, 420-page international monograph by the leading art book publisher Skira Editore, to be published in the spring of 2022. She has been invited to present a solo exhibition at the Deering Estate in the fall of 2021.
Lehr has been collected by major institutions across the U.S., including the Smithsonian Museum of American Art (Washington), the Getty Museum Research Center (Los Angeles), the Boca Raton Museum of Art, the Perez Art Museum Miami, the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center (NY), the Margulies Collection, the Mennello Museum of American Art, MOCA North Miami, the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU, and the Orlando Museum of Art. Her work is in the private collections of Elie and Marion Wiesel, Jane and Morley Safer, and Judy Pfaff, among others. She is included in the Leonard Lauder Corporate Collection in New York. Thirty of her paintings were commissioned for the collection of Mount Sinai Hospital. Her work can be seen in American Embassies around the world and is permanently on view in the Sloan Kettering Memorial Center.
Lehr’s 2020 solo museum show at the Mennello Museum of American Art was selected by The New York Times as one of the leading museum exhibitions nationwide in the U.S. in the 2020 special Museums Section. Her solo museum exhibition headlined Art Basel Miami Beach 2019 at the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU, and also received national and international critical acclaim. Her museum-wide exhibition at the MOCA North Miami spanned across 10,000 square feet of installations. She has currently been chosen by Flying Horse Editions as an invited artist for the Visiting Artist residency.
Mira Lehr’s nature-based work encompasses painting, sculpture, and video. She uses nontraditional media such as gunpowder, fire, fuses, Japanese paper, dyes, and welded steel. Lehr is known for igniting and exploding fuses to create lines of fire across her paintings. Critics are calling Lehr the Godmother of Miami’s art scene because in 1960 she created one of the nation’s first co-ops for women artists. At the age of 86 and with a career that spans more than six decades of artmaking, Lehr is creating more new work now than at any other point in her life ─ with a heightened sense of urgency about the planet and climate change. In the 1950s, Lehr studied and worked in New York as an artist, where she met some of America’s most prominent masters including: Joan Mitchell, Lee Krasner, and Helen Frankenthaler. She studied with James Brooks, Ludwig Sander, Robert Motherwell, and within the Hans Hofmann circle.
When Lehr moved back to Florida in 1960, she was shocked at the lack of an art scene, especially for women. She convinced many of the masters from New York to visit and lead workshops for her league of women artists. This helped the evolution of art in Florida. She was selected in 1969 by Buckminster Fuller, as one of only two artists, to participate in his World Game Project about sustainability and his groundbreaking Spaceship Earth concept which preceded the world’s very first Earth Day in 1970. Lehr’s video installation, V1 V3, was on view at the New Museum, NY. Her work has been included in numerous art fairs during Art Basel Miami Beach. She was the recipient of the Vizcaya Museum Lost Spaces Commission, where she was commissioned to create a site-specific installation for Vizcaya Museum and Gardens as part of the Museum’s centennial celebrations.
