Why Do I Feel Tired Throughout the Day?

Why Do I Feel Tired Throughout the Day?

Do you often feel like you are overly tired throughout the day? There could be several reasons for this, and you need to make sure that you address them so you can get the rest that you need. While it is natural to get a little tired towards the end of the day, it is not natural to feel tired throughout the entire day. Here are some of the reasons why you might feel a little too tired throughout the day.

Lack of Sleep

The most obvious reason as to why you might feel a little too tired throughout the day is that you had a bad night’s sleep the night before. Fatigue and sleep deprivation can hit us harder than we might imagine. You might think that you have managed to get enough sleep, but the reality is that you are not getting a good quality of rest, and this will contribute to your overall exhaustion.

We need to get between 7 and 9 hours of sleep each night.
The recommendation of 8 hours is a good starting point, but some people need a little more, others a little less. It is better to work out how much you need and go from there.
You should also look at the quality of your sleep. If you feel like you toss and turn all night or that you can lie for hours awake in the dark, you are going to feel the effects later. Taking steps to improve your sleep, possibly with the help of a sleep science app or some changes to your evening routine, could make all the difference in how tired you feel throughout the day. Get a better night’s sleep overall, and you should wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the new day.

Not Enough Food

We need food to power our days. If you feel like you are overly tired, it might be because you are not consuming enough calories to keep moving forward. After all, a calorie is a unit of energy. You need to make sure that you are eating enough to have the energy to do whatever your day needs from you.

Different people will require different amounts of food. As a rule, men usually need to eat more calories than women to feel full and able to take on their goals. However, there are some who might need a little more still. If you have a particularly physical job, such as if you are in the emergency services or an athlete of some sort, you will often find that you need to eat more so you have the energy to be able to complete the tasks that you might have to undertake each day. Starting the day with a good breakfast and then continuing with other meals and snacks should provide you with the energy that you need to get through your day.
The Right Quality of Food
Eating enough food is only half the equation here – you also need to make sure that you are eating the right quality of food too. There are certain foods that will be better for you nutritionally and will help to deliver energy to your body in just the right way.

Let’s go back to the idea of a good breakfast to start your day with. You need to pick something that is packed with energy that will be released slowly throughout the morning, especially if you know that you are not going to be able to eat again until much later in the day. For this reason, oats are a great option. You could have a good bowl of porridge, or you could try making overnight oats.

Both are fantastic options that will break your fast and should provide you with energy throughout the day.
Try to avoid junk food and anything with too much sugar. Sugary foods are good in a pinch if you need something that is going to pick you up and get you through the next little bit. However, too much sugar could cause a crash a little while later and could leave you feeling worse than before. Try to stick to food that is of a good nutritional value – it will be much better for you throughout the day. Foods that are high in tryptophan, such as turkey and cheese, may also cause fatigue after eating. This is because it helps serotonin, a neurotransmitter that induces sleep.

Too Much Time with Screens

You might spend all of your time at work glued to a computer monitor, only to browse social media for your entire commute home, then to sit down in front of the TV all evening. This will result in too much time on your screens and could lead to eye strain and other issues.

If your eyes are a little bit strained, you could very well feel like you are tired because of it. It might be a good idea to invest in some eyedrops and practice a few little exercises to help your eyes refocus and calm a little if you can’t step back from the screens.

You should also try to cut down on your screen usage as much as you can. If you stare at your phone during a commute on public transport, consider swapping this out for a podcast or audiobook. You won’t be severing your connection to your phone entirely, but you won’t be looking at the screen. These patterns can also be extended at home. Instead of watching your favorite TV show all evening, think about reading a book or trying some other activity that does not involve a screen.

An Underlying Medical Issue

Of course, it is worth mentioning that you might have a yet undiagnosed medical condition that could be causing your fatigue. While there are many different ones, one of the most common is anemia, usually caused by a lack of iron.

If you feel like you have tried some of the points above and still feel like you are overly tired and fatigued throughout the day, you should think about speaking to your doctor.

They might be able to give you a blood test to find out if you do have some sort of underlying medical condition that could be affecting your energy levels. Even if you are sleeping poorly, they might be able to refer you to a sleep clinic or some other trial where you could get the help you need.

Take Steps to Improve Your Days Now

While it is normal to wake up feeling a little groggy and disorientated, it is not normal for that feeling to continue throughout the day. You need to make sure that you address any issue that might stop you from enjoying your days to the fullest. Make sure that you get the rest you need so you can push forward and take on whatever your day has in store for you to the best of your abilities.

It could be a really simple fix, like the need for a higher quality of food, or it could be something that needs a little more work on your part.

However, you should take the time to address any concerns you might have. Before you know it, you could be getting out of bed fully energized and ready to take on the day!

ABOUT BIA:

Platinum recording artist BIA has gradually been traveling along her own lane within music, a lane that only she can occupy. Raised in Boston, the rap femme fatale is known for music that possesses both biting wit and a boldly authentic swag. It comes, undoubtedly, from BIA’s years traveling through the Boston rap scene, later moving over to Miami, Los Angeles, and then taking over the world. With every mixtape, collaboration, and guest appearance, BIA has only amplified her reach. So much so, that she made the most in a pandemic, dominating 2020 with a fresh new perspective. She inked a deal with Epic Records, dropped the hard-hitting “Free BIA (1st Day Out)” and the intoxicating “COVERGIRL”, as well as dove further into the fashion world with a feature in Good American’s Spring 2020 campaign and Missguided x Sean John Fall 2020 capsule collection.

By the close of 2020, she dropped her For Certain EP, armed with the hit single “Whole Lotta Money”—a song with a central message that unlimited currency can be both mental and physical. The EP reached the Top 10 of Billboard’s Heatseekers Album Charts, with the aforementioned single become a sleeper hit that would bring her uncharted.

OVERVIEW

A first of its kind in format, “metaphysical” will feature ten physical pieces shown at DorDor Gallery in Bushwick, New York alongside ten accompanying digital pieces as NFTs from a selection of the fastest growing North American creators in the NFT space, including established and emerging crypto-artists; such as blacksneakers, Noah Kocher, Sophie Sturdevant and Soulo Saint.

The digital pieces will be available here and displayed in a virtual Bitski gallery available online here. Bitski wallets are now integrated into OnCyber, so collectors and artists can display NFTs directly from their Bitski wallet in digital environments from temples to spaceships.

METAPHYSICAL POWERED BY BITSKI

Bitski has powered NFTs across a full breadth of worlds from art to entertainment to sport. Bitski’s relationship to the art world contrasts from other NFT platforms which act as curatorial gatekeepers. Instead, Bitski empowers all creators and customers to sell through their own channels, with easy-to-use features including automated minting, embedded storefronts and no crypto literacy required, amongst others.

Bitski is excited to support this special artist community and empower them with tools for the metaverse; including a digital storefront to sell their digital works in addition to their physical works, providing a new rev stream – alongside creating integrations with third party homes for their NFTs to have “life” outside their wallets.

Bitski’s relationship to the art industry is not new. One of Bitski’s case studies is the FEWOCiOUS NFT launch, where Bitski provided a platform for the artist and his inaugural collection. This NFT launch sold out and generated approximately $30K in sales, an early example of the rise of bidding wars in the art space.

In addition, the investors include some of the biggest names and most credible NFT experts in the art world, including Metapurse, purchasers of Beeple’s $69M NFT sold at Christie’s.

Civilian Space Flights

By: Emily Bunn

3,2,1… Liftoff! On July 20, Blue Origin LLC, an American privately funded aerospace manufacturer and sub-orbital spaceflight services company, launched its first crewed mission. July 20 marks the anniversary of the first ever human landing on the moon, by Buzz Aldrin on the Apollo 11.

Blue Orbit, founded by Jeff Bezos, took the billionaire Amazon CEO and his brother, Mark Bezos into orbit. Also aboard the aircraft is Wally Funk. Funk is American aviator and Mercury 13 astronaut. The final passenger aboard the mission is eighteen-year-old physics student, Oliver Daemen.

Jeff Bezos has been excitedly anticipating this mission. He commented to NBC’s Today Show on Monday, July 19, stating I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see what it’s going to be like… People say they go into space and they come back changed. Astronauts always talk about that, whether it’s the thin limb of the Earth’s atmosphere and seeing how fragile the planet is, that it’s just one planet. So I can’t wait to see what it’s gonna do to me.”

The daring mission took place on Blue Orbit’s New Shephard rocket this morning. The spacecraft is made from a rocket, topped by a capsule. New Shephard took off at 9:11 a.m. EDT (1311 GMT) and stands as the company’s first human flight. This momentous occurrence marks Blue Orbit’s first crewed flight.

During the flight, the New Shephard climbed to a peak altitude of 351210 ft into the atmosphere. In total, the capsule carried the four passengers 66.5 miles (107 kilometers) above earth. Jeff Bezos enjoyed his space mission, remarking “Blue Control, Bezos. Best day ever!” during the mission. Once completed, the flight took just over ten minutes from liftoff to landing.

At 9:40, the New Shephard returned to earth and landed in the Texas desert. The space craft was aided in its landing by parachutes. Upon touching down onto the dessert soil, a sonic boom erupted and dust temporarily muddied the surrounding arid landscape. In the course of the landing, Jeff Bezos enthusiastically exclaimed, “You’ve got a very happy crew, I want you to know,” reports Space. The members of the suborbital spaceflight were greeted by their family immediately after exiting the aircraft.

Live updates as well as a post-flight press conference can be viewed on Space’s website HERE.

However, Bezos isn’t the only billionaire to launch into space as of late. On July 11, the founder of the Virgin Group, Richard Branson, also was catapulted into orbit. Branson traveled on the VSS Unity space plane, of which was Virgin Galactic’s first fully crewed flight. In fact, Virgin Galactic and Blue Origins are each other’s most competitive rivals in the race for the suborbital space tourism business. Both billionaires basked in a few minutes of weightlessness and once in a lifetime view of earth.

Looking ahead, both Virgin Galactic and Blue Origin seek to continue their successful test flights. With a ticket costing $250,000, Virgin Galactic’s luxurious mission offers passengers a priceless field of vision. Blue Orbits’ spacecraft tickets are estimated to also cost around the same price. As suborbital space tourism takes off, the world waits in earnest to see who is next to visit space.

FLEETWOOD RV FACTORY TOUR VIDEOS

FLEETWOOD RV® SHARES “HOW THEY’RE MADE” SERIES OF FACTORY TOUR VIDEOS

REV Recreation Group brand Fleetwood RV has released a series of five videos showcasing how their luxury motorhomes are made at their 480,000-square foot manufacturing headquarters in Decatur, IN. The exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour delivers a peek into a few of the steps involved in manufacturing a 16,000 to 30,000 lb. Class A motorhome. The video also introduces some of the engineers, managers, welders, and technicians who design, manufacture, and assemble the various elements of a Fleetwood RV.

Fleetwood RV is one of the most-established brands in the motorhome industry and is known for its quality, innovative features, and family-friendly design options. One of Fleetwood’s most popular models, the Bounder®, is celebrating its 35 anniversary in 2021 and has the distinction of being one of the best-selling motorhomes ever.

The factory tour videos deliver a top-to-bottom look at Fleetwood RV and cover the foundation, lamination process, cabinet shop, assembly, and paint process.

Factory Tour Video Details

The foundation video shares the different types of chassis used for a gas or diesel motorhome and the steel bridging system that is custom built for each floor plan.

The lamination process video shows how the walls, floor, and ceiling are created. Light-weight aluminum framing is welded together, and the cavities are packed with bead foam insulation. The pieces undergo a lamination process that applies consistent pressure for nearly an hour, creating a permanent bond and solid structure.

The cabinet shop video looks at how the cabinetry in a Fleetwood RV is made on-site with the bases, frames, doors, and drawers fashioned from solid wood. The video also shows how the wood scraps and leftover pieces don’t go to waste, instead, they are used to heat the building during the winter months.

The assembly video brings all the individual elements together, including the slide outs. Fleetwood RV uses a proprietary process to ensure a positive slide out fit that eliminates gaps and helps prevent water infiltration. Each slide out is also slightly sloped to the outside to direct water away from the coach.

Finally, there is a video visit to the 120,000-square-foot paint facility. Fleetwood RV has 10 paint booths, and each year applies 164,000 gallons of paint to its coaches. Dependent on the motorhome, there are either three or four base colors applied. After a quality inspection, several layers of clear coat are used to deliver a deep shine and provide years of protection.

The EBE2’s included kick stand allows for bikers to prop up their bike while stopped. 360 Magazine recommends checking that the brake system is properly functioning before use. Furthermore, be sure to review the e-bike’s safety warnings.

Ergonomics × Additional Features

The EBE2 is able to travel faster and almost double as far as the EBE1. The EBE2’s 26” inch tires towers over both the EBE1 and EBE4 model’s wheels, providing the utmost stability for riders. These wheels are unlikely to get bent, and provide long lasting wear. As compared to regular bikes with spokes, the EBE2’s mag wheels more lightweight, which licenses this e-bike to accelerate faster.

The EBE2 is affordable compared to other e-bikes in its category, such as the NCN Moscow Plus or the ECOTRIC Fat Tire bike. The GoTrax 26” EBE2 Electric Bike also has a more powerful motor than comparable electric bikes, like the NAKTO 26” Caro Electric Bike. The thumb throttle on the EBE2 is relatively smaller than average, which allows it to comfortable fit into rider’s palms.

The EBE2’s original price was $889.99, but this impressive, intrepid e-bike is currently on sale for just $849.99. Upon purchase, orders are generally processed in 24 hours and shipped out for free in 3-5 business days.

This e-bike is easy to assemble, but mobile bike services may be contacted if need be. Cyclists looking for aid in constructing their e-bike should call Velofix– a mobile bike shop with many locations across the United States. For those on the East Coast, Cycle Haus is another trustworthy option for mobile e-bike repair. On the West Coast, Hoopty Bikes Mobile Bike Repair offers 24/7, mobile bike services. Once their e-bike is put together, riders are to be cruising in style wherever they journey on GoTrax’s EBE2 Electric Bike.

All of GoTrax’s products are certified to UL safety standards. If you’re not satisfied, GoTrax offers a 30-day return and 90-day warranty. Furthermore, for additional purchase, customers can add on a 2-year ($74.99) or 3-year ($849.99) warranty plan.

Fritz Michel Q×A

Originally from France and currently based in New York City, Fritz Michel is a sensational, international star and storyteller. Michel has previously worked in film, television, and the stage, but is currently taking the music industry by storm. He recently released the highly anticipated single and music video for “Look Out (Botticelli Girl),” which can be viewed HERE. 360 Magazine spoke with Michel about his creative song writing process, the true meaning behind “Look Out (Botticelli Girl)”’s lyrics, and his upcoming debut EP release.

What has the reaction to the release of “Look Out (Botticelli Girl)” been like?

One really great thing to come out of the release of “Look Out (Botticelli Girl)” has been the opportunity to reconnect with artists that I have not had the chance to work with. I just shot a music video for the song in Oregon with a longtime filmmaking colleague. We used analog special effects, like puppets and slide projections, to create a visual story. I feel fortunate that my music is helping me tap into a whole new creative language. The streaming platforms allow you much more global reach as an artist. I’ve made personal connections with listeners and music writers all over the world over the past year, and that’s been amazing.

You’ve described “Look Out (Botticelli Girl)” as a meditation and contemplation of amazing works of art and human history. Have any artists or pieces of art, besides Botticelli’s ‘Birth of Venus,’ inspired your music?

I look for musical inspiration everywhere. I borrowed the image of Ulysses lashed to the mast in Homer’s “The Odyssey” in my song “Stardust”. I use some snaky guitar steel there to speak of my homeward journey across the sprawl of Los Angeles from Hollywood to the PCH and beyond, while pining for my New York roots.

What was the song writing process for “Look out (Botticelli Girl)” like?

“Look Out (Botticelli Girl)” came to me very fast after a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art one afternoon last fall, right after the museum had reopened. I find that the galleries calm me emotionally and transport me creatively. I thought about that tension between permanence and impermanence that I experience [while] looking at a great painting and standing in awe of the flow of history. I also thought about capturing little human moments in music [in] the [same] way a painting does. You see that in the verses. I also thought “Botticelli Girl” had a catchy ring to it and would make a good lyric!

How has the pandemic affected your music creation process?

I really started exploring songwriting out of necessity when the pandemic exploded and put the brakes on performing live with my bands. My world changed on a dime, and that prompted a lot of introspection along with observation. I spent a great deal of time alone in my NYC apartment with my guitar. Fortunately, I discovered the space to learn the basics of music production and found the motivation to reach farther with the process. That’s the been a silver lining to the disruption and tragedy of the last year.

In three words, how would you describe the sound of “Look Out (Botticelli Girl)?”

Atmospheric, reflective, acoustic.

You are multi-talented artist, having shared your skills through music, film, TV, and the stage. Looking ahead, which of these creative avenues are you looking to focus on the most?

I’m very fortunate to have worked in music, film, TV, and stage. Music is a lot like putting on a play in my experience. You have to find or write a script and bring your own colors, sounds, and perspectives to the story. Rehearsal is required and technical elements need to come together. Then, you hope that somewhere there’s an audience that’s interested in what you have to say. Looking ahead, I plan to focus my creative process wherever I find willing collaborators and a game audience that’s open to the story. I’m making videos to go with my other releases (“Darker Now,” “Stardust,” and “King of Corona”).

I’m also thinking about writing a musical set in a family [of] architects with a longtime theater colleague, Oren Safdie. We collaborated closely on the premieres his trilogy of plays about architecture. One of my first acting gigs was performing in Oren’s spoof of “Fiddler on the Roof,” set in modern-day Montreal at La Mama, ETC on East 4th Street. So, in that way, I think I’ll be exploring all those avenues in the year ahead.

What is something about you or the release of “Look Out (Botticelli Girl)” that fans may not guess or suspect?

I doubt many people who listen to my music would guess that I was born and spent my childhood in France. We’ve also talked about Botticelli a lot in this interview, but much of “Look Out” comes from personal reflection on my own history. Termini’s is an old Italian pastry shop we used to frequent in South Philadelphia. I lived in Tribeca during 9/11 when the towers fell. When I refer to cherubs, I was really thinking of my own daughters there, less than the ones in “Birth of Venus”! Someone might pick up on those details on a closer listen to the song.

Do you have any more releases to come in 2021 that you can tell us about?

I’m finishing up a couple so I can put out my first EP this fall. I want to get back to performing, too. So much of what I know about music, I learned playing bass in a jazz quartet– so I hope we get that going again. For me, music is a good way to tap into our need for bliss, storytelling, and myth in life. I think it’s all about that conversation and listening to one another.

Green Car by Mina Tocalini for 360 Magazine

Concentric Q×A

In the current age of digital technology, car owners are being forced to consider their vehicle’s susceptibility to ransomware attacks. These malicious cyber-attacks can expose your personal data to online hackers. However, there are certain measures that car owners can take to help prevent security breaches. Proactive car owners are utilizing services like Concentric to safeguard their technology and online identity. 360 Magazine spoke with Laura Hoffner, Chief of Staff at Concentric, and Sam Connour, Concentric Intern, about how to best practice car system security.

What steps can proactive car owners take to protect their vehicles from security threats and hackers?

First, understand that all digital property can be hacked.

Second, as a result, be conscious of what personal technology you connect to or tether with. Understand that if you connect your phone to your car via Bluetooth, someone hacking into your car will then result in vulnerability to your phone (and everything else connected to your phone such as your home Wi-Fi, addresses, credit cards.)

Third, ensure your vehicle’s software is up today. Car makers, like Tesla and Jeep, are known to push out patches for these potential holes hackers can access. Keeping your vehicle up to date will aid in that effort.

Finally, protect that vulnerability by being aware of the modifications you’re making to your vehicle’s software. Don’t let unknown devices connect to your car, and be wary of who has physical access to your vehicle

What makes a car susceptible to ransomware attacks?

Cars are now equal [in terms of susceptibility] to computers as a result of their connectivity capabilities both to the internet and to Bluetooth. If a car is connected to an insecure and unprotected internet connection, hackers are capable of installing malware into a vehicle’s operating or infotainment systems.

What models of cars are the most likely to encounter hacking/privacy issues?

Cars with self-driving capabilities, or features such as lane assist or automatic braking, are particularly at risk. But practically any vehicle made in the past 20 years can be hacked. Generally, vehicles [from] 2007 or newer run a higher risk of personal information being compromised. Car makers, with a warning from the FBI, are taking steps to beef up cybersecurity within their vehicles.

Should customers be weary of certain car brands when buying technology systems for their vehicles? How can consumers find quality retailers with safe car products?

Rather than it being a concern about specific car brands, consumers should instead educate themselves on the risk associated with these vulnerabilities and take proper protocol to mitigate those risks.

Can Concentric offer any services for car owners looking to safeguard their vehicles?

Concentric offers holistic security solutions for our clients. Included in that is a residential risk assessment that can identify specific concerns and vulnerabilities. This is where personal risk associated with property would be assessed, [as well as] physical and behavioral recommendations.

How did your experience as a Naval Intelligence Officer and in the Naval Reserves translate into your current role at Concentric?

Understanding the threat landscape both nationally and internationally– as well as the acknowledgement that we make both micro and macro decisions about risk daily– ultimately prepared me to understand the corporate security landscape. Holistically viewing a problem set and identifying creative solutions are [at] the core of Naval Intelligence, thus it wasn’t a large leap to bring that mindset over with me from the government side.

As Concentrics’ Chief of Staff, what is your best advice regarding car related security?

Car-related security advice is the same as all other security advice we have: educate yourself, your family, and your team to know what risk decisions you are making that have vast implications across your security vulnerability spectrum. Additionally, security is not something to think about when you’re in a crisis. Avoid or better prepare yourself for the crisis beforehand by taking steps to vastly reduce, or eliminate, your vulnerabilities to exploitation.
