A$AP Rocky – HIGHJACK

Today, multi-hyphenated artist, entrepreneur, actor, and fashion icon A$AP Rocky released the video for his new single “HIGHJACK” via RCA – watch HERE! The video was directed by AWGE and Thibaut Grevet and produced by DIVISION.

The track, released earlier this month, was produced by A$AP Rocky and co-produced by Hitkidd, Zach Fogarty, Greg Kurstin, Jordan Patrick, Rex Kudo. The single features vocals by the incredible Jessica Pratt with GRAMMY® Award winning Jon Batiste on background vocals.

MGK DAY

This year, the city of Cleveland will watch its hometown hero and multi-platinum recording artist, mgk, curate MGK Day. In recognition of mgk’s impact, the annual charity event serves as a celebration of unity, compassion, and community spirit. From Aug. 9 – Aug. 13, fans will savor everything Cleveland-bred, as the weekend-long activation will have food, music, and vendors leading to MGK Day on Aug. 13, where the revered legend will be throwing the first pitch at Progressive Field when the Cleveland Guardians host the Chicago Cubs.

Rick Springfield Rocks Sammy’s Island at Palms Pool with a 75th Birthday Celebration to Remember

The summer heat was matched by the energy of rock legend Rick Springfield at Sammy’s Island at Palms Pool this past Saturday, August 17. Springfield, kicking off his 75th birthday celebrations, made a special appearance at Palms Casino Resort’s new Sammy’s Island hotspot before his sold-out acoustic concert with Richard Marx at The Pearl Theater later that evening.

The party at Sammy’s Island featured Springfield behind the Tiki Bar, where he poured his signature Jessie’s Girl cocktail, crafted with his Beach Bar Rum, a partnership with his good friend Sammy Hagar. The highlight of the day was a spectacular three-tier birthday cake, designed by Palms Pastry Chef, showcasing an amp, guitar, and images of Springfield’s iconic records.

Sammy’s Island at Palms Pool, located at Palms Casino Resort: 4321 W. Flamingo Rd., continues to be Las Vegas’ prime destination for summer fun, open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The venue offers complimentary cabanas Monday through Thursday for locals and exciting Swimdustry Mondays with DJ entertainment.

GOTÜRKIYE APPOINTS HILAL DEMIREL

NEW YORK DIRECTOR OF THE TURKISH MINISTRY OF CULTURE AND TOURISM

Hilal Demirel has been appointed to head the New York offices of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism, succeeding Hüseyin Baştürk.

Mrs. Demirel was born in Istanbul and graduated with a degree in Economics in 2005, completed a Master’s degree in Management Organization and Organizational Behavior, and a PhD in Business Administration, all at Hacettepe University.

Since 2006, she has worked at Türkiye’s Department of Promotion of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. From 2013 to 2019, she served as the Cultural and Promotion Attaché in Zurich, and in 2019 and 2020, Mrs. Demirel took on short-term roles as the Director of the Office of the Counsellor for Cultural Affairs and Promotion of Türkiye in Stockholm. Additionally, during work in Switzerland, she was responsible for promotional activities for Türkiye in Central European countries such as Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.

An avid tennis player, Mrs. Demirel is also a fan of Agatha Christie books, learning new languages, and baking.

LATTO MAKES HISTORY

ATL-based Grammy nominated Queen of the Souf rapper Latto makes history as the first solo female rapper from Atlanta to ever have a #1 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart, debut or otherwise, with her critically acclaimed third studio album Sugar Honey Iced Tea via RCA Records. The album also earns Big Mama a top 15 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, her highest debut to-date at #15. Overall, she is only the second female rapper in 2024 to have a #1 Rap Album debut and Top 15 Billboard 200 debut.
