TYLA × AYRA STARR

NEW SINGLE “GIRL NEXT DOOR”

CHECK OUT TYLA’S INTERVIEW WITH OFFICE MAGAZINE HERE

South African superstar singer and songwriter TYLA and Afrobeats phenom Ayra Starr are collaborating for the first time on a new single entitled “Girl Next Door.” It notably marks their first collaboration together. Listen to “Girl Next Door” HERE and watch the visualizer HERE. The song is produced by P .Priime (Wizkid, Omah Lay, Bad Boy Timz).

“I absolutely loved working with Ayra Starr on our new single “Girl Next Door” says Tyla. “She’s such a talented artist and I feel like our energies really came together to create something special. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!”

It lands in the wake of the buzzing “Been Thinking.” Beyond amassing millions of streams, it incited tastemaker applause worldwide. Pitchfork proclaimed, “Her latest single ‘Been Thinking’ is a slick club anthem that channels the seductive pop-R&B hits of mid-2000s Ciara and Rihanna.” Rolling Stone touted the single among its weekly “Songs You Need To Know, and Notion hailed it as “a slick dance floor heater that revels in seductive R&B.” NME raved, “The track seamlessly blends R&B with elements of Amapiano – the South African-born genre that fuses African melodies, jazz, piano melodies and deep house music – bringing the latter sound, and its creator, further into the global spotlight.

Additionally, Tyla has been making waves internationally by fusing Amapiano with pop R&B vocals, earning her critical acclaim from PAPER MagazineI-D and CLASH

Making strides in the fashion space as well, Tyla was most notable seen sitting front row at this year’s FW 23 Dolce & Gabbana runway fashion show in Milan Italy, as well as the NYC launch of the H&M Mugler collection.

Last month, Epic Records and Tyla hosted an intimate cocktail and afterparty in NYC. The event brought together artists, influencers, music executives and creatives from the worlds of music, entertainment, fashion, art and culture. Attendees included Alton Mason, Jay Critch, South African recording artist Elaine, stylist Matthew Henson and many more met, mingled and celebrated the success of the young breakout star and her music.

Her debut single ‘Getting Late’ featuring Kooldrink has amassed over 5.5 worldwide million views. She followed it up with the incredible DJ Lag collaboration ‘Overdue’, which soundtracked the trailer for Netflix’s Blood & Water. Tyla returned with ‘To Last’ in 2022 to great acclaim, earning praise from CLASH and The Independent.

Last year, Tyla turned up on “To Last.” It has tallied nearly 1 million cumulative streams thus far and continues to gain traction at DSPs. Out Now dubbed it “dreamy,” and HITS noted, “Tyla’s music shimmers with the euphoria of South African amapiano, as she puts her vibrant personality on full display.

Iranian singer-songwriter SHAB Releases new single INDESTRUCTIBLE via 360 MAGAZINE.

SHAB IS INDESTRUCTIBLE

The emerging mega-star SHAB is one of the most transformational recording artists of our generation. This Iranian singer-songwriter and mother of two is a martyr for change in the Middle East.

Cleverly coined as a ‘prissy tomboy’ by 360, she speaks a great deal about empowering women. In a frank conversation with Vaughn Lowery, she explicitly states the importance of providing cohorts of women with enough ammunition and tools to adequately protect their counterparts.

As a citizen of the world, she has been influenced by both German and American cultures; however, her adolescent exposure to Europe has made her the person she is today. Now that it is in its forties, it is in an ideal position to easily maneuver within the industry. Her sentimental body of work is transparent and relevant in today’s new world order. With a handful of notable projects like Dolce Vita, Spell on Me, and Industrictible, SHAB is soon one of the industry’s most sought-after artists in 2023.

More About SHAB

Global pop star SHAB, who just released a new love-charged anthem, ‘INDESTRUCTIBLE,’ and is gearing up for an upcoming UK tour alongside Boyzlife (Westilife’s Brian McFadden and Boyzone’s Keith Duffy) in May.

SHAB is an outspoken Iranian refugee living in America who also happens to be an international Pop Star. In a recent Instagram post to her millions of fans about Iran, SHAB spoke out for the first time about how the Iranian Morality Police would harass her beautiful sisters: as no one was empowered to stop them. She remembers her brothers being kidnapped and held for ransom: simply because her family opposed the revolutionary regime. She remembers how pro-Khomeni forces persecuted her father and burned down his workplace: with her Dad dying of a heart attack in his early 50s from the stress that was brought to their doorstep. And she remembers his death leaving her mother with 13 kids to raise, without any help and during a horrifying revolution and social upheaval.

A star across three continents, SHAB first gained attention in the Western Hemisphere during late 2020 as a “breakout star of the global pandemic,” SHAB has registered three consecutive Number Two hits on the British commercial pop charts with her first three English language singles released during the 2020-21 COVID lockdown. Her February 2021 debut album, INFINITE LOVE, has been met with immediate critical acclaim, with her unique electronic dance sound typified as “an energizing Global Pop that is both effortless and memorable.”

In addition to setting the world on fire with her music, SHAB is also a proud mother of two. She first came to America by herself at age 14 as a refugee and learned English while working three jobs. After graduating college, SHAB attended law school but soon left to pursue writing and performing music full-time…and she has never looked back. She has a passion for meditation, mindfulness and yoga—truly a living example of beauty from the inside out.

Last Autumn, SHAB showcased her scene-stealing vocals supporting Anastacia on her European ‘I’m Outta Lockdown’ tour. Ready to get back out there, SHAB is expected to deliver a remarkably dazzling performance supporting super duo Boyzlife, both members of record-breaking and multi-platinum-selling boybands Westlife and Boyzone. SHAB’s leg of shows will kick-off on May 13th in Plymouth and more dates across the country.

With Millions of YouTube views and fans worldwide, ‘INDESTRUCTIBLE’ is steered by Grammy-winning producer Damon Sharpe, who is known for producing Ariana Grande and Jennifer Lopez. This dazzling track showcases SHAB’s passionate music-making as she landed her sensual and richly textured hit single SEXUAL, which opened February 2023 at #2 on the British commercial pop charts as well as #47 on the U.K. Upfront Chart. Last year’s release ‘Serenity’ saw Shab on a winning streak, reaching #4 on the Commercial Pop Top 50 Chart.

SHAB is known for her ear-worm combination of urban tilting songs, pop ballads, and dance-inducing knockouts. She combines an eclectic mix of sonic effects and catchy dance-pop hooks to make energizing music effortless and memorable. SHAB delivers a kaleidoscope of sound that goes hand-in-hand with her introspective and powerful lyrics partnered with her distinct yet unpredictable vocals, ultimately achieving a cultural ubiquity that few artists could hope to reach.

Oakley – Rauw Alejandro

With a resurgence of heritage Oakley styles in recent fashion trends, Rauw Alejandro has developed an affinity for the brand and incorporated key Oakley pieces into his overall performance looks for his SATURNO Tour that’s happening now.

Since he appeared on the scene in 2017, Latin GRAMMY award-winning and GRAMMY nominated Puerto Rican singer and songwriterRauw Alejandrohas been making waves, not only for leading the new generation of Latin music artists, but also for his unique bold style.

Throughout Rauw’s global tour, he partnered with Oakley to outfit himself and his dancers in a range of the brand’s eyewear.

Listed below are style references:

  • Rauw‘s been rocking Oakley’s iconic OVERTHETOP, which first debuted in the 2000 Summer Olympics and was worn by Trinidad & Tobago’s Ato Bolden in the Men’s 100-meter dash where he won silver. From there, the shades have been part of a number of historical style moments including rapper Flavor Flav wearing them in the early 00’s and street style sensation Kerwin Frost recently incorporating them into his looks.
  • Oakley’s Eye Jacket Redux has also been seen on tour, inspired by the original Eye Jacket that revolutionized the look of sport performance eyewear, and features the same bold oval silhouette that first hit the scene in 1994. Since its debut the brand has updated the design with today’s revolutionary lens technology.
  • Additional styles include Oakley’s latest performance eyewear including KatoEncoderSutroRe:SubZeroResistor each equipped with Oakley’s Prizm Lens Technology.

The OVERTHETOP frames are known for turning heads with its cutting-edge design that sweeps over the top of the head, futuristic lenses, and all-metal detail. Rauw was first drawn to Oakley’s OVERTHETOP, thinking this specific style was like nothing else he’s seen before. From there, his relationship with the brand blossomed through his appreciation for Oakley’s innovative and unique design approach.

  • “Ever since I started creating the mood board for the SATURNO Tour, I’ve been searching for spatial outfits and elements that support the theme and represent my personality. Every element included in my outfit had to express aggressiveness and athleticism,” said Rauw Alejandro. “Growing up in Puerto Rico and watching the Olympic Games during my adolescence, I remember looking at photos of Ato Boldo’s iconic Oakleys. I instantly knew they would perfectly complete my look.”

Cybersecurity – Password Managers

Cybersecurity experts  VPNOverview.com have revealed exactly how password managers can help and how to find ones that are trustworthy to use.

How Password Storage Helps Your Online Security

Emails, Google, web shops, social media – you name it. The likeliness is that you have countless accounts on several different websites and platforms. For almost every account you create, you have to think of a password that will allow you to access any secured data without being hacked easily. This means that you will have countless of passwords to remember – unless you use a password manager.

Password managers – for example, Blur or 1Password – allow you to store all of your passwords safely in their ‘password vaults’. From the moment you have installed one, you are only required to remember your master password, which will give you access to every single password you have saved within.

That means you do not have to write passwords down on a piece of paper that could be stolen or keep a word document with sensitive information that could fall into the wrong hands. Your password manager ultimately has you covered with one simple app.

The Advantages of Using a Password Manager

Password managers help you to remember all of the passwords you use online, but there are some additional advantages to using them. In fact, password managing apps help you to make your system far safer and more efficient. Here’s why:

·      Password managers encrypt your passwords so no one but you has access to them.

·      They save you time as you can log into your accounts automatically or with just one click.

·      They create unique and strong passwords for all of you accounts, so none of them are easy to guess.

·      They work on different devices, meaning you can log into your accounts on both your computer and smartphone with minimal effort.

Are All Password Managers Safe?

Anyone who spends a lot of time online should install a password manager, so it can keep track of all your passwords and sensitive information.

However, not all password managers are 100% safe. As you will be giving the password manager access to all your passwords, it is important to choose one you can trust. Some self-proclaimed ‘password managers’ misuse that trust to gather your personal information and use it against you. Similarly, other password managers are simply not secure enough and could be compromised – even though they may have better intentions. Ultimately, if they are incapable of keeping your information safe, you should not risk using them.

Luckily, VPNOverview.com have tested several password managers on their security and ease of use. Not sure which manager to choose? Checkout their top picks via the links below.

RIP JERRIS MADISON

R.I.P to an incredible man! JERRIS was the first person to believe in me and put me on a magazine cover fresh out of my group, he let me be creative and be me on set and that went a long way because I was a fresh 21 year old, and finding myself in fashion, he understood me and he never took no for an answer! I pray that he is at peace and proud of the work he put into his craft! cause we all are!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Jerris Madison, particularly his mom in Detroit.

Years ago, we (at 360 MAGAZINE) met JM at Men’s Fashion Week L.A. as an official media sponsor. During his presentation, our entire team was instantly fascinated by his artistic vibrations and still a fan of his fierce photographs.

Right off the bat, we offered a mini makeover. At the time, Brian Perry, our hair editor, would use shears for light grooming, a trimmer to clean up your beard/mustache, and/or hair chalk to add color. To remove the edge, we offered tequila shots alongside artisanal cocktails as you browsed the printed copies and met the publisher. Finally, we offered free tattoos of the former icon of Inked Mag and the famous tattooer Baba. It was first come, first service for a gratis quarter-sized single color figure. Yes, these were permanent drawings. And after many drinks, Jerris got his cherry popped and lost his tattooed virginity.

As Detroiters compatriots, we started to support each other. His design sense was prevalent in all of his captors. OBVIOUS MAGAZINE was among the first publications on cultural diversity to celebrate marginalized models. For us, he was and always will be a pioneer.

We literally just discovered the news of his death (from a prominent editor), and we are at a loss for words.

Growing up in a city full of dreams and disappointments, there was an unwavering connection.

On behalf of 360, we would like to dedicate our forthcoming issue to you, listing you as our Honorary Editor-in-Chief in the masthead. Rest in paradise.

Jerris Madison is a Los Angeles-based noted Fashion Photographer who is also the Publisher and Editor-In-Chief at OBVIOUS Magazine. OBVIOUS Magazine is one of the most influential magazines with a global reach of 4 million each month via social media and obviousmag.com.

Among his clients are Kevin Hart, Essence Magazine and Eva Marcille. His most recent work was featured on the Dianne Reeves 2015 Grammy win for Best Jazz Vocals Album.

Attending The Creative Circus, he graduated in 2002 with an imagery degree, focusing on the photography/art direction. His early studying would propel him into a career full of photography for mainstream media, editorial and celebrity clients.

A Detroit native, the media mogul finds his stability through family and friends. Noted for always “living his best life,” this perspective was put to the test in November of 2014 when Jerris lost his right leg to Chondrosarcoma Bone Cancer.

Not one to be slowed down, Jerris views himself as a survivor and continues to play varying roles such as Image Consultant, Social Media Expert, Film/TV Wardrobe Stylist, Motivational Speaker, as well as Photographer. He discusses his story of survival more in-depth with Johnny Gyorke on The Power of Your Voice podcast.

He hopes that his story and experience will lead him to become an author, global philanthropist, potential talk show host, and even docuseries that focuses on his life and the stories of other amputees around the world.

Editor. Fashion Chief. Photographer. Survivor! Jerris Madison, you deserve this ovation!
