McLaren Racing today announced a special livery series for Arrow McLaren in the 2023 Indianapolis 500, celebrating the team’s historic Triple Crown accolade as part of its 60th anniversary. 

The livery series will be unveiled at an open event for fans and media at the Lifestyle Expo at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on Friday, 14 April.
Widely considered the greatest accomplishment in racing, the Triple Crown is achieved through winning the three most prestigious races in motorsport: the Monaco Grand Prix, the Indy 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. McLaren’s Triple Crown is comprised of victories at the Indy 500 in 1974 with Johnny Rutherford, the 1984 Monaco Grand Prix with Alain Prost, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995 with JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya. 

For the 107th Running of the Indy 500 in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Arrow McLaren, with the support of Arrow Electronics, NTT DATA and SmartStop, will field four Chevrolets, each carrying a unique commemorative livery. Three of these will represent the individual race wins from McLaren’s Triple Crown, and one will reflect the collective achievement.

Alexander Rossi’s No. 7 VELO Arrow McLaren Chevrolet will race in full papaya to commemorate the M16C/D in which Johnny Rutherford claimed McLaren’s maiden Indy 500 victory in 1974. 

The liveries for the No. 5, No. 6 and No. 7 Arrow McLaren Chevrolets will be unveiled at an open event for fans and media at the Lifestyle Expo, Friday 14 April at 09:00am PST, ahead of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. The reveal will be attended by McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown, Arrow McLaren Racing Director Gavin Ward, and Arrow McLaren drivers Pato O’Ward, Felix Rosenqvist and Alexander Rossi. Tony Kanaan, who will pilot the team’s fourth car entry for the Indy 500, will emcee the Long Beach event.

Reebok has confirmed an April 14 return for the Shaq Attaq “Blacktop” (HR0501, $180), a unique iteration of Shaq’s first signature basketball sneaker from Reebok’s iconic ‘90s “Blacktop” product range built for outdoor play.

Reebok first released “Blacktop” in 1991, applying distinct design elements like durable materials and vibrant color pops and patterning to complement the style of play, creativity, and attitude of players on the Blacktop, free from the walls (and rules) of a gymnasium. The 2023 Shaq Attaq “Blacktop” incorporates that same design language for OGs and a new generation.

Reebok’s ‘Pump TZ’ Retro Hoops Shoe Returns in “Neon Cherry” April 14

Reebok has confirmed an April 14 return for its Pump TZ “Neon Cherry” (HQ8802, $170), an OG colorway for the iconic Pump basketball model from the early ‘90s.

Following its coveted 2022 collaboration with high-fashion house Maison Margiela and the model’s first general re-release since the early 2010’s this past February, Reebok’s Pump TZ returns once again this month, this time in its vibrant “Neon Cherry” colorway.

The eye-catching Pump TZ model first hit courts in 1990 with its distinct high-cut design, groundbreaking Pump technology, and TPU re-enforced upper placing it amongst the most disruptive performance basketball sneakers on the market during that time.

Benson Boone – What Was

Today, rising pop artist Benson Boone releases his emotional new anthem “What Was.” Listen HERE via Night Street Records/Warner Records. Masterfully balancing understated, intimate verses with a big, bold chorus, the soaring track is the latest from Boone’s upcoming EP, PULSE, out May 5.

“This song is a reflection of a past relationship that I wish I could re-do,” Boone says of the track. “It’s a hard realization when you missed ‘your person,’ and all you can do is relive the memories in your head.”

Boone has also been named an Amazon Music Spotlight Breakthrough Artist for 2023. First discovered by Imagine Dragons superstar Dan Reynolds, the 20-year-old has earned more than 1 billion global streams to date, as well as praise from Billboard, who lauded his “restrained vocals” and Consequence, who dubbed the newcomer “an exciting new voice.”
