SKALE LAUNCHES METAPORT

Ethereum-focused multi-chain network, SKALE, launches Metaport to support users bridging between chains on the SKALE Network. In order to bring Web3 to millions and eventually billions of people, developers will have to create applications that are not only compelling but designed with usability and fast simple onboarding. SKALE has long understood that mass adoption requires the ability to marry the friendly UX of Web2 with the power of blockchain and decentralization. In line with this, SKALE is excited to announce SKALE Metaport.

SKALE Metaport was created as a super fast, simple way for users to use the chain to chain bridging capabilities of the SKALE Network. Dapp users have a fast and simple way to move tokens of all sorts (ERC20, 721 and 1155) between SKALE Chains and between the Ethereum mainnet. This is all done using an interface that takes users through the process of moving their tokens and NFTs between chains in a few easy steps.

Developers get a well designed UI layer that helps them interface with the API layers so that they can integrate this user friendly experience into their Dapps. Not only can they configure it to match their user interface, they can also specify which chains are available and what tokens can be transferred. This is all done at incredibly fast speeds, taking 18 seconds or less, and if the transfer is between SKALE chains, it’s always gas free.

One example of how the Metaport will be used is in an on-chain PvP game like

CryptoBlades, where players earn $SKILL tokens. In this example, CryptoBlades developers connect their chain to the Europa Hub (the premiere liquidity hub on SKALE) and can configure Metaport to allow users seamlessly in the Dapp interface to navigate and transfer a token to Europa. Metaport pops up for users and guides them through the process of transferring that token from the game chain to the Europa chain and then back. What’s most exciting is the developer has the ability to customize this to the needs of their game by specifying the token or to allow the user to perform any actions on any tokens that they wish.

CAPTAIN KIRK DOUGLAS UNVEILS HIS NEW SOLO ALBUM ‘NEW UNKNOWN’

Recorded over the course of the pandemic in his Long Island childhood home, New Unknown captures both the uncharted territory Kirk enters as a soloist and the unforeseeable impact of the pandemic on our society at large. The album’s focal track, Land of Look Beyond, is a psychedelia-tinged devotional to mother nature and the importance of returning to one of its roots. In the song it is the chorus, he reflects, Time has flown // All that’s been experienced Has caused us to bloom.

“New Unknown is a sonic culmination of many steps taken during a time when most avenues in our collective lives were closed, Kirk says of the album. Each step involved taking action by reaching into myself or reaching out to another human being and every outcome inspired me to take another action and then another. The result is a creation of organic rock music delivered with power and grace. It brought me a lot of joy and I want to share that with whoever it may resonate with.”

New Unknown captures Kirk its introspective spirit and highlights his powerful presence as a frontman in his own right. Previously released singles, like We Can Be One, featuring a simmering beat and boisterous horn section, received tremendous praise. American Songwriter called the single soul-shaking, while WXPN raved, we can be assured [the album is] something to look forward to. Meanwhile, the rock-forward single, Over The Ocean, was called a terrific display of Douglas’s riff-writing talent by Guitar World. Austin City Limits (ACL) fans will be on their feet for a supercharged hour showcasing Afro-Cuban funk sensation Cimafunk. Hailing from Havana Cuba, the celebrated showman and his eight-piece powerhouse band, The Tribe, make a thrilling ACL debut with standouts from Cimafunk’s acclaimed album El Alimento. The new installment rounds out the first half of ACL’s Season 48 and premieres November 12 at 8pm CT/9pm ET. In a remarkable ACL debut, Cimafunk & The Tribe deliver an electric, unique blend of high-energy funk, Caribbean rhythms and Afrobeat. Cimafunk and his band are earning raves for their incredible live performances tearing up stages across the globe. The freewheeling set explodes with a spectacular James Brown-influenced rhythm for the blazing “Relajao,” with Cimafunk flexing his dazzling vocals and radiant starpower alongside dance moves from percussionists Big Happy and Machete, a finger-busting bass solo from Caramelo, horns (and backing vocals) from Hilaria and Katy Cacao, and a merciless groove from drummer Dr. Zapa. “Put your hands up!” Cimafunk exclaims as he introduces “Funk Aspirin,” the band’s collaboration with funk legend George Clinton which opens 2021’s widely-hailed El Alimento. “Never forget,” the sweat-soaked Cimafunk laughs as the set reaches a fever pitch, “Shake that booty!” They close with “Me Voy,” the 2018 hit that made Cimafunk a household name in Cuba, bringing lucky audience members onstage and taking the groove to the next level.

“Cimafunk’s ACL debut was breathtaking,” says ACL executive producer Terry Lickona “He barely took a breath himself, and for that matter neither did the crowd, which was too busy dancing and screaming themselves. Directed by Kevin Mares, the cinematic music video for “It’s Something In Me” finds G Herbo shining like a star amongst the nightly New York skyline lit up by city lights. Celebrating the release of his new album Herbo is joined by friends as they mob through NYC still cautiously aware of their surroundings. Today, singer, actress and performer Reneé Rapp releases her emotionally raw debut EP Everything to Everyone via Interscope Records. The seven-song set is stacked with soaring ballads and polished pop anthems that highlight The Sex Lives of College Girls star’s vocal prowess and versatile talent.

The stripped-back title track and EP opener explores Rapp’s desire to show up for the important people in her life. Next up is the multi-hyphenate’s breakout single “In the Kitchen,”which reflects on a doomed relationship, and a brand new track titled “Colorado” that expresses her desire to leave Los Angeles behind. It’s the kind of unfiltered anthem that made her most recent release, “Don’t Tell My Mom,” so gut-wrenching. On the track, Rapp details her tumultuous, tight knit relationship with her mother. “Don’t tell my mom, I’m fallin’ apart,” she belts over minimal synths. “She hurts when I hurt, my scars are her scars.” The EP is rounded out by the songs “What Can I Do,” “Too Well,” and “Moon,” each of which showcases a slightly different shade of Rapp’s musical palate. It’s the kind of collection with a song for every mood or emotional state.

After probably 4 years of talking about putting out a project— my EP is here”, Rapp says of the new release. “I’m anxious and super fucking excited for you to hear. I hope you love it. and if you don’t love it, please don’t tell me. I’m super sensitive.”

The EP follows the singles “Don’t Tell My Mom,” “In the Kitchen,” and “Tattoos,” which have amassed more than 22 million combined streams. Throughout her career, Rapp has displayed a knack for captivating audiences with vibrant performances and unbridled energy. Outside of music, she stars in the hit HBO Max series The Sex Lives of College Girls, which has its season 2 premiere next week. It’s a role that calls for brilliant comedic timing and dramatic prowess, both of which the newcomer has in spades. Reneé Rapp knew she was born to perform ever since she was a child. Even in her earliest memories, her love of music was always present. “I couldn’t sit still in the car unless there was music,” she says. “Otherwise, I would cry the entire time.” The North Carolina native began harnessing her natural creativity by writing and recording songs when she was just a teenager. Eventually, her career took off when she landed the coveted role of Regina George in the Tony-nominated Mean Girls musical on Broadway. Shortly after, she found widespread recognition and praise—from the likes of W, Harper’s Bazaar, and The Hollywood Report for her performance as “Leighton” on the HBO Max series “The Sex Lives of College Girls” written by Mindy Kaling. Amazon Music Live aired the second episode of their brand new concert series, hosted by Grammy-winning hip-hop icon 2 Chainz. The not-to-be-missed new weekly live-streamed concert series features the biggest artists performing their latest hits live.

Megan Thee Stallion lit up the stage as this week’s headliner with performances of new songs such as “NDA” and “Plan B” off brand new album Traumazine as well as classics like “Thot Shit” and “WAP.”

Airing on Prime Video following Thursday Night Football, music and sports fans will come together for Thursday night’s new destination for the hottest new releases to come to life. Streamed live from Los Angeles, Amazon Music Live premieres October 27 with musical guest Lil Baby, who will perform cuts off his recently released album, It’s Only Me, as well as fan-favorites and chart-topping hits. Kae Tempest – Move

Musician, author, and poet, Kae Tempest reveals a reworked version of the track “Move” from their critically acclaimed album The Line Is A Curve, which was released earlier this year. “Move (Rework)” feat. Kojey Radical is a beautifully crafted incarnation of the track—listen to the song HERE and watch the video HERE. Additional vocals from Kojey Radical perfectly complement the very recognisable voice of Kae Tempest.

A fan of Kojey since his poetry days, the pair met at Later… with Jools Holland in the summer and instantly formed a bond; he was the first person Kae thought of when they decided to release the track.
