Contact lenses have become quite popular when it comes to correcting vision, so most people prefer them compared to glasses. When you protect your eyes from damage due to UV light, you can also lower the risks of developing macular degeneration and cataracts in the future.

Therefore, if you like wearing vibrant colored clothes, utilizing makeup or even dyeing your hair, then colored contact lenses can be suitable for you. Colored lenses can be a subtle yet appealing way to express your personality or change up your appearance. You can find prescription for natural colored contacts for both daily and monthly use. There are also prescriptions for contacts that can correct vision issues like astigmatism.

Wearing contact lenses

Most people use soft contacts, and there are many soft lenses you can find on the market. The soft contact lenses are often categorized by wear schedule, usually dailies, biweeklies, and monthlies. In most cases, daily contact lenses are designed to be replaced either daily. Biweekly contact can be replaced every two weeks while the monthly contact lenses can be replaced every thirty days. You should also keep your contact lenses away from water because contacts and water don’t mix. The truth is that exposing your contact lenses to water can contaminate the contacts with Acanthamoeba organisms that cause corneal ulcers. 

Also, you need to clean your contact lenses using the right contact lens solution. You should avoid cleaning your contact lenses with water or saliva. You should also utilize the contact lens solution that your optometrist recommended. But if the contact lens solution causes your eyes to irritate, then you should consult your optometrist. 

Contacts are not designed to be slept in as this can increase the chances of corneal ulcers or any other type of eye health problems. If you want to use extended-wear contact lenses, remember that putting them on for an extended period including overnight can increase the chances of eye infections.  

You should also wash your hand properly before you handle your contact lenses. This means that you should use water and soap, and dry your hands thoroughly. This helps to prevent contaminating your contact lenses with bacteria and dirt from your hands.

It’s worth noting that contacts are personalized and they sit directly on your eyes. Your optometrist often makes sure that they offer you contacts that function specifically for you. Also, for hygiene and health purposes, you must not share your contact lenses with someone else, especially if you have already used them or intend to wear them again.    

Above all, you should still wear eye protection or sunglasses when you use contact lenses. You can find UV-blocking contact lenses, but these contacts are designed only to protect your cornea. Therefore, this leaves the rest of the eye unprotected. Because of this, it’s crucial to wear sunglasses that have full UV light protection. Aside from this, you should wear the right eye protection when participating in sports or carrying out any activity that can leave your eyes unprotected.

As Lecrae releases, Church Clothes 4, he boldly stands at the crossroads of sacred and secular, a lane he unashamedly accepts. In the ten years since the first Church Clothes mixtape (hosted by DJ Don Cannon) released in 2012, no one has been able to surpass the heights that Lecrae has reached crossing CHH over to the mainstream, planting his feet simultaneously in the street and the Church without compromising. While the critics blasted him for not picking a side, the people spoke even louder, downloading the music for the original Church Clothes over 100,000 times within 48 hours. 

On November 4th, he brings the righteous and ratchet together yet again and this time for Church Clothes 4, the last of the mixtape series! He maintains the unashamed posture reflecting on Romans 116, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to EVERYONE who believes first to the Jew, then to the Gentile!’ emphasizing that his music also is not just for believers, but for everyone! In Episode 2 of his Church Clothes TV short airing on YouTube, Lecrae explains, “I’ve always been a combination of my roots and my faith. I love God but I grew up in hip-hop and the hood. People always want to put me in one camp or the other. Truth is you (with me), you can’t have the righteous without the ratchet. They’re two sides of the same coin.”

While Church Clothes 4‘s first single “Spread The Opps,” recognized the opposition, his second single “Fear Not” acknowledges that our faith in God is bigger than our deepest fears! On “Spread The Opps,” Lecrae stated “I’ve been running for so long from the opposition. Since I was a kid, there were enemies, both physical and spiritual, that were trying to destroy me. I decided to stop running. This song, “Spread The Opps,” is me knowing that even in the valley of death, God is with me. He’s scattering the opposition.”

On the second single, “Fear Not,” he shares, “Everyone deals with fear. I’ve met some of the most hardened criminals sitting behind prison walls confess their fears. Fear makes us run, or fight, or do nothing. I believe the cure is fear is faith. Faith in a God who is bigger than our biggest fears. We don’t have to be afraid of the dark. The dark is afraid of the light within us. Fear Not is the articulation of that.” 

A verse in “Fear Not,” speaks to the illusion of fame! “They don’t even recognize me when they see me coming all they see is fame. They don’t know behind these Cartier’s, just a little boy full of pain.”

The film is an homage to the movies I grew up watching as a kid—fast-paced snowboarding and heavy-hitting music to match. I hope our movie makes you want to  snowboard.”  

Fleeting Time, a snowboard movie from Homestead Creative, co-produced by Red Bull Media House in collaboration with Ben Ferguson, is a two-year project directed and starring Ben Ferguson and his close crew of friends, created with the goal of inspiring viewers to get out and ride. The non-stop action is paired with a playlist-worthy soundtrack curated by Ferguson,  featuring incredible snowboard action from the peaks of Alaska, to the deep snowpack of the  Rockies, to a revolutionary indoor halfpipe in Japan.  

Ferguson brought together an all-star crew of riders in Fleeting Time, including his brother Gabe  Ferguson, along with snowboarding’s biggest names: Travis Rice, Mark McMorris, Danny Davis,  Red Gerard, Hailey Langland, Zoi Sadowski-Synnott, Mikkel Bang, Brock Crouch; Japan halfpipe pros Kaishu Hirano and Raibu Katayama; Mikey Ciccarelli, Luke Winkelman, Jared Elston, Curtis  Ciszek and Austin Smith. 

During the two-year span, Ferg and crew traveled to Whistler, British Columbia; McCall, Idaho;  Jackson, Wyoming; Haines and Valdez, Alaska; Lake Tahoe, California; Japan, and at home in  Oregon at Mt. Bachelor and Mt. Hood honing in on deep powder conditions, steep peaks and massive transitions—both natural and manmade.  

Viewers can also quench their thirst for more content through the “About Time” series rolling out exclusively on Red Bull TV. This three-piece docu-series will give viewers a high-end,  intimate look into the athletes, crew and overall making of Fleeting Time. Look for the first episode to drop October 6th on RBTV.

Martin Garrix voted World’s No.1 DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJS 2022

Martin Garrix has been voted The World’s No.1 DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll 2022. The Dutch DJ and producer marked the occasion in historic fashion as he became the first artist to DJ from the top of the iconic Empire State Building, as the centerpiece of a reimagined Top 100 DJs Awards Show broadcast. It’s the fourth time Garrix has claimed the No.1 DJ title. 

Speaking of the win, Martin Garrix said:

“I’m very grateful for everyone taking the time to vote. Being back at number 1 again feels very surreal, and I’ll never ever take your support for granted. Thank you.
