Complete Talent Lineup Now Set For The Friday, September 30th Broadcast On PBS

Host & Performers announced for the 35th Hispanic Heritage Awards:

The Already Announced 2022 Honorees Are:

 The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) today announces this year’s host, and performers for the 35thth Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards –  to be broadcast Friday, September 30th, on PBS Stations. The historic program, which was created by the White House to commemorate the establishment of Hispanic Heritage Month in America, is among the highest honors by Latinos for Latinos and supported by 40 national Hispanic-serving institutions. (An announcement about HHF’s in-person Hispanic heritage celebration in Washington, DC, is forthcoming.)

Modeled on the same format which set new ratings records for the broadcast across the last two years, this year’s presentation will once again feature intimately filmed segments captured on location across the United States and Latin America. In addition to the exclusive honoree profiles (detailed again below), the show will be hosted by actress Stephanie Beatriz – widely known for voicing the character of Mirabel Madrigal in Disney’s Oscar-winning 2021 film Encanto, as well as her portrayal of Carla  in the motion picture adaption of In The Heights, and as Detective Rosa Diaz in the action-comedy tv series Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

 Continuing the Hispanic Heritage Awards’ long-running tradition of also celebrating the richness and stylistic diversity of Hispanic music and culture, the 35th anniversary broadcast will once again spotlight special musical guests spanning from established superstars to the introduction of essential new voices that will carry the communities’ music well into the future.  This year, that collection features multi-GRAMMY and/or LATIN GRAMMY winners such as Colombian Vallenato champion and previous Hispanic Heritage Award honoree Carlos Vives, beloved Mexican singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas, and one of Cuba’s leading Timba/tropical music ambassadors Aymée Nuviola.  Standouts of a new generation are also represented by already Platinum certified Panamanian Urban singer-songwriter Boza,, Interscope signed rising Puerto Rican star Robi (who will perform a heartfelt tribute to LEGEND honoree Daddy Yankee), and the first national TV performance of Cuban raised, and now Nashville based captivating rock guitarist and singer Hector Tellez Jr,  – whose prowess already finds him backed by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Peter Buck, and Seattle Rock Scene veterans Barrett Martin (producer & drums) and bassist Dune Butler.

THE NEW ARC OF THOR SHEDS LIGHT ON THANOS’ DARK HISTORY WITH ASGARD!

Guest writer Torunn Grønbekk and returning artist Nic Klein kick off “The Legacy of Thanos” in THOR #29, on sale in December.

In the opening arc of Donny Cates and Nic Klein’s hit run of THOR, fans witnessed a disturbing vision of the Mad Titan Thanos laying waste to the Marvel Universe! Since then, Thor has done everything in his power to prevent this future from coming to pass, but has it been enough? Find out as this brewing plot comes to the forefront in a brand new arc starting December titled “The Legacy of Thanos.” The arc will be penned by guest writer Torunn Grønbekk who will join returning series artist and newly christened Stormbreaker Nic Klein for an adventure starring Thor and the Valkyrie Rúna. The arc will spin directly out of THANOS: DEATH NOTES, the oversized Thanos one-shot hitting stands in November, and it will serve as a pivotal prelude to Cates and Klein’s future plans for Thanos’ upcoming conquest.

When a universally loathed foe kidnaps Thor’s baby sister Laussa and drags her so deep beyond Hel that not even Sif’s All-Sight can see her, the God of Thunder must call upon the one ally who has traveled so far into the unknown before: Rúna. But what dark secrets of Asgard’s bloody past lay beneath the frozen waters?

“There is something incredibly inventive and bold about Donny and Nic’s Thor, and it’s been an absolute delight to guest-write a story for this run,” Grønbekk said. “It’s turning out to be just the kind of thing I love – big swings, solid character moments and deeply human solutions. Also, Nic is impossibly good. There is a special kind of joy to see his pages come together. I don’t think I’ve ever had this much fun making comics!”

Gigi Hadid opens Feel Shop in NYC: the first retail experience by luxury cashmere brand, Guest In Residence. Upon arrival guests enjoyed to-go sunflowers by florist, Popup Florist and beverages by Kin Euphorics. Creative Director Gigi Hadid hosted an intimate press preview to kick off the temporary shops followed by a meet and greet hour, where she talked to her fans and let them know about the collection. The Feel Shop is located on 12 Mercer Street and will be open through September 17th from 11am – 7pm. Free embroidery customization will be offered with every purchase as well as to-go sunflowers while supplies last. There will also be surprise workshops throughout the week!

Spider-verse comic series from Marvel drops soon via 360 MAGAZINE

Today, an all-new Spider-Hero story kicks off in SPIDER-VERSE UNLIMITED INFINITY COMIC #15. The first issue in the six story arc is now available on Marvel Unlimited in the exclusive Infinity Comics format.

On writing the new story arc, creator J. Holtham says, “I love Miles because Miles is, well, me. I was an awkward Black kid, originally from Brooklyn, living in New Jersey and desperately wishing I had super-powers. Writing for Miles is a real full circle moment for me. I love his determination, his optimism, his big heart. That’s what makes it fun.”

As for the school-life balance Miles is trying to maintain, J. Holtham says, “With both of these story arcs, we’re exploring exactly that: How does Miles balance his hero life with his academic ambitions? Which one is more important? Which one defines who he really is? Being a teenager is such a time of change and development, and when you add battling Super Villains on top of that, it’s kind of a lot. Finding that balance is the heart of the story.”

This National Preparedness Month, Anheuser-Busch is Mobilizing Communities Nationwide to Take a Big Step in Disaster Preparedness Efforts, Starting with One Small, Life-Saving Photo 

The Brewer Launches Second Annual “Prepare For Your Pets” Campaign to Highlight the Importance of Disaster Preparedness for All Family Members 

Building on its consistent and long-standing commitment to disaster relief and preparedness efforts, Anheuser-Busch announces the second annual “Prepare For Your Pets” campaign. By continuing the strong partnership with American Humane and American Red Cross, Anheuser-Busch will expand relief efforts and raise awareness of disaster preparedness for both people and pets. The newly launched website, PrepareForYourPets.com, will serve as a hub for pet owners to find information on how to prepare for a disaster to keep people and their pets safe. 

Anheuser-Busch has a proud history of disaster relief and preparedness efforts, including its flagship emergency drinking water program through its longstanding partnership with the American Red Cross dating back to 1906. In the spirit of preparedness, the brewer will also be conducting runs of emergency drinking water at its Fort Collins, CO, and Cartersville, GA, breweries to replenish its stock of emergency drinking water following recent relief efforts to provide cans of water after severe flooding, wildfires and other disasters that have affected communities nationwide. 

Disaster preparedness plans often overlook plans for pets. In fact, while 83% of pet owners live in communities that are threatened by natural disasters, only 46% have family plans in place[1]. While pet owners can often be found snapping photos of their pets, a physical photo can play a critical role in the development of a family or community disaster preparedness plan 

As part of the 2022 “Prepare For Your Pets” campaign, Anheuser-Busch is creating the opportunity for pet owners to print a physical photo of themselves and their pets to have on hand in the event of a natural disaster or crisis. This photo can increase owners’ chances of being reunited with their pet, should their phone be misplaced, damaged, or run out of battery. To encourage pet owners to take this essential step, Anheuser-Busch, in partnership with photo printing service Mpix, will cover the costs to get photos directly to people’s homes.

family, including pets who cannot plan for themselves,” said Colleen Lucas, Vice President of Community Impact at Anheuser-Busch. “Together with our commitment to preparing emergency drinking water throughout the year, we stand ready to support people as they plan for disasters and emergencies in their homes, businesses, and communities.” 

Anheuser-Busch’s very own beloved pets, the world-renowned Budweiser Clydesdales, will honor National Preparedness Month by visiting two “Prepare For Your Pets” Fairs during the month. The fairs will take place in Knoxville, TN in partnership with Eagle Distributing Company and in Fort Collins, CO, at the company’s Fort Collins Brewery & Biergarten, which will give guests an opportunity to take a photo with their pet and provide valuable disaster planning resources. 

Additionally, the Anheuser-Busch Foundation will provide a $200,000 donation to American Humane to assist its rescue operations and expand the distribution of emergency drinking water to pet shelters and rescue efforts during and after natural disasters. 

“From natural disasters to animal cruelty investigations, American Humane is on the front lines protecting animals and saving lives in times of crises,” said Dr. Robin Ganzert, American Humane’s President and CEO. “We are grateful to Anheuser-Busch for supporting our critical rescue efforts. We also want to arm pet owners with the knowledge and tools needed to help keep their pets and families safe when disaster strikes. Having a disaster preparedness plan in place will not only help save the lives of our beloved animals, but also the lives of owners, volunteers and first responders.” 

To mark National Preparedness Month and their continued partnership, the Anheuser-Busch Foundation will also be donating $1 million to the Red Cross’ Annual Disaster Giving Program (ADGP) to help ensure the Red Cross can take immediate action for communities in need.

Anheuser-Busch goes a step further in also supplying the Red Cross with emergency drinking water to disaster operations nationwide. We are deeply grateful for their long-standing and impactful partnership.” 

For over three decades, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners have worked alongside the American Red Cross to provide clean drinking water to those in need during all stages of natural disasters and other crises. To date, Anheuser-Busch has provided over 90 million cans of Emergency Drinking Water to affected communities across the country.

Born and raised in Connecticut, Drazen’s first influences came from his parents’ record collection – Elton John and Billy Joel. As he got older, he fell in love with artists like Smino, Justin Timberlake, Jon Bellion and Two Door Cinema Club. The pieces would connect during his junior year of high school when Drazen went over to a friend’s house and wrote his first song. Although recruited to play soccer at Middlebury College, he found his focus shifting to songwriting. He developed a sinewy, genre-agnostic voice and centered his authentic perspective as a kid from the ‘burbs, adeptly swinging between R&B, pop and rap. NYC DOMINATES GLOBAL LIST OF MILLIONAIRES

The USA dominates the world’s Top 20 cities with the most millionaires in 2022, with New York taking the crown with 345,600 millionaires, and five other American cities —­­ San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, and Dallas ­— securing places on the coveted world’s wealthiest cities ranking. Tokyo is in 2nd place with 304,900 resident high-net-worth individuals worth over USD 1 million, and London, the wealthiest city in the world for many years, drops to 4th place below the San Francisco Bay Area with just 272,400 millionaires, according to the latest Henley Global Citizens Report, which tracks private wealth migration trends worldwide.

Two Chinese cities, Beijing (9th) and Shanghai (10th), make it into the Top 10, and Switzerland and Australia each manage to secure two top city spots, with Sydney (11th), Zurich (15th), Melbourne (17th), and Geneva (19th) all making the cut. Singapore (5th), Hong Kong (SAR China) (12th), Frankfurt (13th), Toronto (14th), Seoul (16th), and finally Paris, plummeting 3 places to 20th, make up the rest of the 2022 ranking.

The report features exclusive data from the global wealth intelligence firm New World Wealth, and includes the five wealthiest cities in each major region, and the 25 fastest growing cities in terms of millionaire growth.

Dr. Juerg Steffen, CEO of Henley & Partners, points out that 14 of the Top 20 are in countries that host investment migration programs. “The right to live, work, study, and invest in leading international wealth hubs such as New YorkLondonSingaporeSydney, and Toronto can be secured via residence by investment. Being able to relocate yourself, your family, or your business to a more favorable city or have the option to choose between multiple different residences across the world is an increasingly important aspect of international wealth and legacy planning for private clients.”

The millionaire populations of Dubai, Mumbai, and Shenzhen are expected to break into the Top 20 wealthiest cities by 2030, according to Andrew Amoils, Head of Research at New World Wealth. “Cities with strong oil and gas industries are performing especially well this year, including the likes of Riyadh, Sharjah, Luanda, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Lagos. Others on the fastest-growing list include Lugano, a Swiss hotspot for affluent retirees, Bengaluru, the ‘Silicon Valley of India’, and Hangzhou, one of China’s most scenic cities.”

Commenting on the latest Henley Global Citizens Report, Dr. José Caballero, Senior Economist at the IMD World Competitiveness Center, says “quality of life is a fundamental driver of global mobility, and for business executives, high living standards and effective institutions are significant city drawcards.”

Dr. Steffen agrees, saying “cities are centers of opportunity, innovation, prosperity, and culture. We’ve seen record growth this year, with more and more high-net-worth investors exploring investment migration solutions that offer location fluidity and optionality, enabling them to live and conduct their businesses across a wide range of different jurisdictions and cities.”
