NYBG – HOLIDAY TRAIN SHOW

The Holiday Train Show a favorite holiday tradition returns this November to The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG), where it has been making memories for over 30 years. Visitors will marvel as model trains zip through an enchanting display of more than 190 New York landmarks, each delightfully re-created from natural materials such as birch bark, lotus pods, and cinnamon sticks. As day turns to night on select dates, families, and friends can start a new holiday tradition exploring the Botanical Garden’s festively illuminated landscape and enjoying music, food, and more at NYBG GLOW, the expanded outdoor color-and-light experience. It will be the perfect night out this holiday season.

The Holiday Train Show opens to the public on Saturday, November 19, 2022, and will be on view through Sunday, January 22, 2023. NYBG GLOW will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. on 23 nights starting Friday, November 18, 2022, and running through Saturday, January 14, 2023.

Tickets for both the Holiday Train Show and NYBG GLOW will be available for NYBG Members beginning Tuesday, September 13, 2022. Tickets for the general public will be available for purchase beginning Thursday, September 15, 2022.

The Holiday Train Show features a miniature wonderland in the warmth of the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. Famous New York landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Rockefeller Center, and many other favorites, are crafted from natural materials such as pine cones, acorns, and seeds. Visitors can enjoy the Holiday Train Show during the day or see favorite buildings light up at night under the glow of the Haupt Conservatory. Combination tickets to the Holiday Train Show and NYBG GLOW will once again be available.

Returning for its third year, NYBG GLOW offers visitors the opportunity to discover the beauty of NYBG’s landscape and historic buildings, breathtakingly illuminated across the Garden. Building upon sold-out evenings the past two years, NYBG GLOW, New York City’s largest outdoor holiday light experience, expands across even more of the Garden’s magnificent collections, including an all-new glowing display in the Native Plant Garden. During these special evenings, NYBG‘s iconic sights and buildings, including the Haupt Conservatory and the LuEsther T. Mertz Library Building, become dramatic, glittering canvases. Washes of brilliant color; thousands of dazzling, energy-efficient LED lights; and whimsical, picture-perfect installations reflect the surrounding gardens and collections, creating a spectacle not to be missed. Beverages and light fare will be available at one of NYBG‘s outdoor bars or the Bronx Night Market Holiday Pop-Up, and festive, fun-filled offerings will include artistic, music, and pop-up performances around the Garden.

INHALER TAKES OVER LOLLAPALOOZA

Inhaler has released the video for their new single, “These Are The Days,” directed by James Slater. The song is the group’s first new music since they released their 2021 debut album, “It Won’t Always Be Like This,” which went to the top of the charts in both the UK and Ireland.

Inhaler has also announced a 7” release of “These Are The Days” backed with their cover of Billie Eilish’s 2021 single “Your Power.”

Last month they played Glastonbury for the first time, followed by the band’s biggest ever headline show to date, performing at Dublin’s Fairview Park. This weekend sees the band perform at Tramlines and Truck Festival ahead of support shows across Europe next month with Arctic Monkeys, the Sheffield group’s first live shows in three years. Inhaler will also be in stateside on July 27 for a show at Chicago’s Subterranean, followed by Lollapalooza on July 28.

Last month Inhaler announced details of a string of dates in October. The band will play three of their biggest UK headline shows, including a performance at London’s iconic Roundhouse.

Inhaler has now racked up over 157 million combined streams globally, and their debut was a certified Brit Breakthrough. “These Are The Days” is the first track to emerge from sessions for Inhaler’s forthcoming sophomore album. Stay tuned for more information on album two.

Big Sean and Meek Mill Lead All-Star Labor Day Weekend Lineup of Drai’s LIVE Performances

Drai’s Beachclub • Nightclub will host parties day and night throughout the holiday weekend

This Labor Day weekend Drai’s Beachclub • Nightclub is taking things to the next-level from Friday, Sept. 2 to Monday, Sept. 5 with top-tier performances, day and night. Located on the 11^th story rooftop of The Cromwell in the center of the Las Vegas Strip, Drai’s will host incredible Drai’s LIVE performances by icons Big Sean, Meek Mill, and more.

On Friday, Sept. 2 guests are invited to soak up the sun at Drai’s Beachclub. On Friday, Sept. 2 multi-platinum artist, Big Sean, will jumpstart the celebration with a nightclub performance, followed by a daytime performance at the Beachclub on Saturday, Sept. 3. He’s expected to perform smash hits like “I Don’t F*ck with you” and “So Good” featuring Kash Doll.

Grammy-nominated artist, Meek Mill, will keep the party going with a nightclub performance on Saturday, Sept. 3 followed by a daytime performance at the Beachclub on Sunday, Sept. 4. He’s expected to hype up the crowd with fan favorites like “Dreams and Nightmares” and “Going Bad” featuring Drake.

Drai’s Nightclub performance for Sunday, Sept. 4 will be announced at a later date. On Monday, Sept. 5 Drai’s Beachclub will wrap things up with a Labor Day weekend extravaganza featuring sounds by Flow Fly.

LIGHTNING SEEDS – WALK

After being welcomed back with open arms, Lightning Seeds continue their trajectory with the release of brand new track ‘Walk Another Mile’ – taken from their new album See You In The Stars, their first on new label BMG – out October 14th. Listen HERE.

A sun-soaked, bouncing singalong, ‘Walk Another Mile’ is a juxtaposition, seeing Ian Broudie tackling subject matters a little darker.

“It’s about two imaginary people arguing about the end of a relationship and blaming each other,” he explains. “I had that thought and was thinking about endings. I was listening to a lot of Northern Soul, and the little vignettes you can get in those songs. I love writers who can do that, write stories – Squeeze, The Kinks, Eminem. I always start off doing that, but end up nowhere near it, so this song is the closest I’m going to get to that.”

This intoxicating 10 track collection is tunefully, emotionally, uplifting and kick started the summer with the feel good warmth of first track ‘Sunshine’ – listen HERE. One of the album highlights, ‘Emily Smiles,’ was co-written with Specials man Terry Hall, whom Ian wrote Jollification’s ‘Lucky You.’

All songs on this ten track opus were written and recorded in short bursts over the last three years. The first two songs recorded were a pair written with the Coral’s James Skelly: ‘Great To Be Alive’ and ‘Live To Love You’.

“I always think music’s like attack and defense in football –or like politics – or like life. It’s about balance,” Broudie says. “And achieving that is the challenge for me.”

In 33 years as a recording artist, the man who is Lightning Seeds has sold a lot of records. Those include a million copies of Jollification, the 1994 album whose platinum-tipped success was spearheaded by era-capturing hit single “Change,” and which Broudie recently celebrated with a sold-out, 25th anniversary tour.

Broudie composed “Three Lions” as the official England song for Euro ’96. With lyrics by comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner, the song hit Number One and became a genuinely era-defining anthem – and one with a remarkable afterlife, as it regained the top slot two years later, during the 1998 World Cup in France. It was everywhere during last summer’s Euros, too, wasn’t it? Football didn’t quite come home (again), but one of the Nineties greatest songs did.

Much like the sound of Ian’s voice, like an old friend coming back into your life.

The band will also embark on a 14 date UK tour later this year kicking off October 27^th in Cambridge and finishing November 26^th in Sheffield. They play London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire November 4^th. Tickets are available HERE.

Singer-songwriter NO1-NOAH (Ghetto Earth Records/Interscope Records) has just released the official behind-the-scenes footage of his recently released captivating music video “Bonjour” with Summer Walker. After displaying beams of promise on Walker‘s sizzling anthems, NO1-NOAH inked a deal with her label Ghetto Earth Records in December 2020. DRAI’S × WIZ KHALIFA

Drai’s Nightclub welcomed rap icon Wiz Khalifa to the stage. The artist celebrated ahead of the release of his new album “Multiverse” which will drop Friday, July 29.

Carrying oversized replicas of his face in a parade of sparklers, the Drai’s Dolls had the electric crowd of fans on their feet to honor Wiz Khalifa. His performance featured some of his top hits, including “We Dem Boyz” and his recent single “Memory Lane.” On Saturday, July 23 Wiz Khalifa continued the celebration by joining Grammy-nominated rapper Rick Ross on stage during his full-length concert.

Marvel’s famous panel Next Big Thing Panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con just concluded and, as always, it was filled to the brim with announcements, first looks, and teases about the future of the Marvel Universe! Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski, Executive Editor Nick Lowe, editors Darren Shan and Lauren Bisom and an incredible lineup of creators including Christopher Cantwell (Iron Man), Jonathan Hickman (X-Men), Ram V (Venom, Carnage), and Collin Kelly & Jackson Lanzing (Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty) came together to reveal some of the hottest Marvel titles coming your way in the next few months. Here’s some of the panel’s biggest announcements!

Marvel Comics visionary Jason Aaron will unite his work on AVENGERS, AVENGERS FOREVER, and AVENGERS OF 1,000,000 BC into one incredible epic in AVENGERS ASSEMBLE! Aaron will kick off the saga with superstar artist Bryan Hitch in November’s AVENGERS ASSEMBLE: ALPHA one-shot before crossing over between issues of AVENGERS and AVENGERS FOREVER!

From throughout time and the far corners of the Multiverse, the Mightiest Heroes of All the Earths are assembling as never before for a battle beyond all imagining. Launching in November, the four-issue limited series sees Doctor Strange awaken alone in a distant world not his own. Lost of purpose and surrounded by danger, the wandering sorcerer must explore this land of blades and mystery to unravel arcane secrets and escape the deadly horrors that lie in wait!

November will also see an oversized celebration for the Golden Avenger’s 650^th issue in IRON MAN #25! It’s Iron Man Day in New York City, but not everyone is ready to celebrate the ongoing legacy of Tony Stark — least of all him. But a sudden crisis will once again test Tony’s heroism and challenge his commitment to the role he has assumed for himself. Must there be an Iron Man? Devilish details about DARK WEB have emerged during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con! Teased in various panels throughout the weekend, DARK WEB will be a Spider-Man/X-Men crossover story spearheaded by current AMAZING SPIDER-MAN scribe Zeb Wells. The saga will begin in prelude issues throughout November, followed by December’s DARK WEB ALPHA #1 where Wells will be joined by superstar artist Adam Kubert. From there, the web will be spun across issues of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN as well as various tie-in one-shots and limited series.

DARK WEB will find Spider-Man and the X-Men joining forces against two iconic characters that have experienced a resurgence in popularity in recent years—Ben Reilly and Madelyne Pryor. As seen in this year’s FREE COMIC BOOK DAY: SPIDER-MAN/VENOM, the two wronged clones are teaming up as Chasm and Goblin Queen to raise hell across the Marvel Universe. The story will fan the embers of the iconic INFERNO crossover and pack an emotional punch that pays off decades of Marvel Comics storytelling.

Featuring artwork by Michael Dowling and Kyle Hotz, November’s AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #14 will be a special DARK WEB prelude issue that reintroduces CHASM, Ben Reilly’s dangerous new persona. Not seen since AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #894 and FREE COMIC BOOK DAY: SPIDER-MAN/VENOM, fans will see exactly what Chasm and the Goblin Queen have been busy with. The issue will also introduce a brand-new villain shrouded in mystery—HALLOWS’ EVE. Set to plan a pivotal role in the event, fans can get their first glimpse at Hallows’ Eve and her killer design in a new variant cover by Ed McGuinness. The superstar artist recently graced the pages of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN for this week’s 900^th issue and will return to the title for the upcoming DARK WEB tie-in issues.

Writer Christopher Cantwell and artist Lan Medina will launch a new tie-in limited series during DARK WEB titled GOLD GOBLIN that sets up a new status quo for Norman Osborn. Norman Osborn’s sins may have been cleansed, but his memories weren’t and he’s done plenty of horrific things to remember. Norman’s worked hard to avoid all things “Goblin” and to stay on the straight and narrow. Consequences in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN pushed him to try super-heroing, and he liked it. But when the media dub him the Gold Goblin, he has to start wondering – can he ever get away from the Goblin inside?

Secret Walls, an art and entertainment brand, announces their first-ever Support Your Local Artist Tour. The tour will be a multi-city tour bringing renowned art pieces and design battles across North America. Each spot will depict different illustrations from the local talent followed by a head-to-head art scrabble competing for Secret Walls Glory.

To kick off the tour, Secret Walls assembled a preview to give the guests a sneak peek of how the excursion would look in their art studio based in Korea Town. Right outside the locale, guests could browse some of the artwork from Secret Walls family and affiliates staged along the walls of the parking lot.

360 Magazine had the honor to speak to the creative director of Secret Walls, Jimi Zendrix. Jimi mentioned that he studied graphic design at Brighton University, but dropped out because of an opportunity that arose at a graffit art gallery in the UK. As creative director, he wants to continue to grow the secret walls family, and keep their status of being the biggest and best live art party.

After indulging in the variety of food, attendees took their seats for the art battle. Usually the contestants are given a total of ninety-minutes, but for this press event they wanted to add a little pressure to the competition and only provide a thirty-minute time frame. The duel was one for the books. As the time came to an end, Joon the Goon and Allison Bamcat took the victory with their mural of a punk rock grim reaper.
