Martin Garrix & DallasK – Loop

On July 15, 2022, mega-producers Martin Garrix and DallasK join forces with acclaimed singer-songwriter Sasha Alex Sloan on the melodic new single Loop,”  released via Astralwerks. Throbbing with emotion, the infectious track is an anthem for anyone who’s ever been unable to break free from an endless cycle of break-ups and make-ups.

The surreal official video for Loop, available later today, finds a woman embarking on what seems to be just another night on the town. As she moves through the busy streets and colorful clubs of Las Vegas, she encounters Garrix and DallasK on the dreamy journey. But each time the night seems at an end, she finds herself back where she started and the evening begins again, leaving her hopelessly stuck in a loop. The video was directed by  Damian Karsznia, who has helmed numerous videos for Garrix

Martin Garrix says, “I have been playing this song in my sets for quite some time now and the crowds’ responses have been great. I loved working with Dallas and I’m super stoked to finally release this one!”

DallasK adds, “‘Loop’ is the long-time coming collaboration between Martin Garrix and myself. We met forever ago and I remixed his single ‘in the name of love’ in 2016. It’s a deeper song for both of us, topped with the unmistakable vocal of Sasha Alex Sloan, one of my favorite collaborators, who always brings her unique perspective to any song she writes. It has all the right ingredients to form both a summer banger and break up anthem. I hope you like it!”

Sasha Alex Sloan says, ”I loved writing this song and I’m so glad it’s finally out!”

Garrix, who took the No. 1 spot on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list for three consecutive years, recently released his first ever club album, Sentio, which includes collaborations with Zedd, DubVision, Mesto, Brooks, Julian Jordan and Matisse&Sadko, among others. His summer tour, which includes residencies in Ibiza and Las Vegas, will take him to some of the summer’s biggest festivals, including Electric Zoo, Tomorrowland, Colours of Ostrava, and Veld Music Festival.

DallasK launched 2022 with a series of massive collaborations – writing and producing songs for such artists as Christina Aguilera, Ozuna, Lauv, Nicky Jam, Manuel Turizo, Stray Kids, Gryffin and more. Flaunt hailed him as “the definition of a hitmaker” in  this feature, which delves into the making of his recent single, “Try Again” ft. Lauv.

Sloan recently released her sophomore album, I Blame The World, featuring the singles “WTF,” “I Blame The World,” and “Adult.”

SACHA BARON COHEN WON LAWSUIT

Thursday, comedian Sacha Baron Cohen won a $95 million defamation lawsuit brought by former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, who said it was the British comedian who had discredited him on a show falsely accusing Moore of being a pedophile.

The Federal Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in Manhattan (New York) approved a lower court ruling in favor of Sacha Baron Cohen and stated that Roy Moore had signed an agreement that he could not make any legal claim on his appearance.

The lawsuit focused on Moore’s inadvertent appearance on “Who Is America?” show. That bit of the show aired after Moore faced allegations of misconduct, saying that He had pursued romantic and sexual relationships with teenagers when he was 30. Moore denied any such allegations.

For years, Cohen has lured unwitting politicians into awkward interviews and even faced lawsuits over similar jokes.

ArrDee – Hello Mate

Rap wonderkid ArrDee teams up with UK Funky pioneer Kyla on brand-new single “Hello Mate,” out 14th July.

Already generating a buzz after being teased on his socials, “Hello Mate” centres around the chorus from Kyla’s 2008 single “Do You Mind,” with ArrDee complementing the UK Funky classic with his trademark blend of quickfire bars and infectious hooks. This anthem arrives just in time to soundtrack a sizzling summer.

Shot in the tropical paradise of Ibiza, the sunkissed official video for “Hello Mate” see’s ArrDee adventuring around Ibiza with a love interest by day and party time by night, further accentuating the unruly, feelgood energy communicated on the track. It was directed by Alfie Cauty, also from Brighton and one of ArrDee’s close friends, and features a guest appearance from Kyla, who serenades the party with her scintillating vocals.

It marks his first single release since his acclaimed debut mixtape Pier Pressure. The highest selling debut album for a British solo artist to date in 2022, it already has over 500 million streams and hit #2 in the UK album charts, spending a further four weeks inside the top ten.

The biggest breakthrough British solo artist of the last year, ArrDee has scored three UK ‘Top 10’ singles – “Oliver Twist,”Flowers (Say My Name)” and “War” w/ Aitch – and two ‘Top 20’ – “Come & Go” and “Wid It” w/ Tion Wayne – over the past twelve months. If this wasn’t enough, he also landed a UK #1 with his feature on the world-conquering “Body” and appeared on the Digga D single “Wasted,” which made it to #6.

Kyla is best known for “Do You Mind,” a collaborative single with fellow UK Funky innovators Crazy Cousinz, which peaked at #48 in the UK charts. The track shot to fame in 2016 when Drake sampled it on his chart-topping global smash “One Dance” alongside Afrobeats star Wizkid.

Pulling yet another catchy banger from his locker, “Hello Mate” proves that ArrDee has no signs of resting on his laurels after the release of his acclaimed mixtape.

Marcus King "Blood On The Tracks" cover art shot by Danny Clinch for use by 360 Magazine

Marcus King – BOTT

Marcus King today announced the release of “Blood On The Tracks,” the latest preview, and lead single from his forthcoming solo album, Young Blood. The track was co-written with Dan Auerbach and songwriting legend Desmond Child, renowned for his work with rock acts including Alice Cooper, Joan Jett and Aerosmith. It premiered today with Garden & Gun, who stated “‘Blood On The Tracks’, finds King steeling himself for the ascent from the depths to the sunlight above.”

Over a swampy groove, gritty guitars and a thumping bass sound that offers sonic tribute to Free’s Andy Frazer, King’s soulful vocals smolder in a moment of reflection and hope, compelled to finally leave “his sins in the past.”

Recalling back to a productive session with Childs, King shared, “’Blood on the Tracks’ was the first song we wrote for the record, it was also my first time meeting Desmond Child. He’s 100% unapologetically himself at all times, and that charmed me immediately. I really enjoyed working with Dan and Desmond on this tune, they both have such an acute sensibility for a “hook” it is scary!”  He continued, “The song essentially tells the story of moving forward or being taken down by the trouble you are facing – catching the train or the bloodier alternative. Every writing session for this record started with a conversation, an opportunity for my collaborators to take a peek inside my soul and the pain I was carrying around.”

Accompanying the song release, King also dropped a live video, created at Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound Studio, it features acclaimed musicians including Chris St. Hilaire on drums and Nick Movshon on bass. Watch it HERE.

Young Blood’s tales of excess, salvation, break up and addiction, draw on some difficult and personal moments. Despite challenging personal circumstances, King has made his most accomplished work to date. The album has already received widespread critical acclaim. Rolling Stone Magazine profiled King, stating, he “turned a dark period into a blistering rock album.”  SPIN  praised King’s “classic ‘70s rock vibes.” FLOOD MAGAZINE proclaimed King “fully embodies the gritty rock sounds the songwriter’s always dipped his toes in.”  Brooklyn Vegan exclaimed, “If you’ve got a place in your heart for stuff like The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, or ZZ Top, it’d be tough to deny that Marcus truly captures the spirit of that era (and also really shreds.)” and Jimmy Fallon shared King “is one his favorites”, before his electrifying performance of “Hard Working Man” on the Tonight Show.

King has been an outlier from the very beginning. A fourth generation musician from Greenville, SC, who learned guitar at age 3 from his blues rock musician father Marvin King. He navigated troublesome school years to quickly become known as one of the most promising young artists of our time. He followed his breakout success with The Marcus King Band, with his Auerbach produced 2020 solo album debut, El Dorado. It garnered a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of “Best Americana Album” and critical praise from The New York Times to NPR’s Weekend Edition With unparalleled performance prowess and a dynamic live show, King has sold out historic venues from The Beacon to The Filmore. He has opened for Chris Stapleton, Greta Van Fleet and Nathaniel Rateliff and graced the bills of Stagecoach, Fuji Rock, Rock Werchter and more. He also recently launched his own custom Gibson guitar and signature Orange guitar amplifier, the MK Ultra, which sold out before it even hit the stores.

King recently announced a massive headline US tour, with dates HERE through September and October 2022 supporting the release of his forthcoming solo album, Young Blood. He will be taking his stadium sized sound to esteemed venues across the U.S, including two nights at venues such as New York’s Beacon Theatre and Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Neal Francis and Ashland Craft support select dates, and the tour features comedy by Dean Del Ray. Tickets on sale now HERE and a complete list of dates follows below.

King will continue to tear up the rulebook with the release Young Blood, redefining the route to modern rock stardom with a timeless sound and a singular voice, equal parts grease and grit, set to soon establish him as one of the most soulful vocalists of his generation.

Latto New Track via RCA Records for use by 360 MAGAZINE

LATTO – P*SSY

Today, ATL-based Queen Of Da Souf rapper Latto drops her timely new single and video “PUSSY” via RCA Records – HERE to listen / HERE to watch. The latest single is a reply to the overturning of Roe v. Wade that happened at the end of last month. In addition to using her platform to spread awareness and be vocal on this crisis, Latto is also donating a portion of the proceeds from this release to Planned Parenthood. Recently, Latto delivered a show-stopping medley performance of “It’s Givin” and “Big Energy (Remix)” – for the latter she brought out Mariah Carey and Young Dirty Bastard – after winning her first-ever award for “Best New Artist” at the 2022 BET Awards – watch the performance HERE / watch her acceptance speech HERE.

WATCH “PUSSY” HERE.

For the video co-director (alongside Latto who also directed) and cover art, Latto chose powerful women to collaborate with on this important release – director Sara Lacombe and artist Katie McIntyre. Both chimed in on their experience working on the project and with Latto:

Sara Lacombe on working on the video and the overall concept with Latto: “It was really important for Latto and I to collaborate on this video especially with woman’s rights being such a hot topic at the moment. Let’s be honest, America has always been good at oppressing people. So, for women, our rights, how the world treats us, gender roles and our overall place in society isn’t just news it’s something we deal with every single day, sometimes loudly and sometimes quietly. We are repeatedly reminded of how we ought to behave or who we should be, constantly being forced into a box. This video is symbolic that we can be both hard (her lyrics) and soft (the world we placed her in) at the same time. The world is always going to tell us who to be, that’s probably never going to stop, that’s why it’s more important than ever for woman to stand in their truths and know who they are.”

Katie McIntyre on working on the cover art for the single: “This track is an instant classic. It was amazing to get to create a powerful piece of art for Latto. I think it adds another dimension to the message that she is putting a spotlight on a feminist artist with this cover. This cover is all about the rise of the collective feminine against opposing forces. The woman in front of this outdated institution is breaking the ground with her body, just like we will break new ground in the continuing fight for women’s rights. This cover asks you to look at what you’re most afraid of, see the power in it, and know that it’s stronger than your attacks. It says: we are not beautiful, we are sublime.”

In March of this year Latto released her critically acclaimed album777 that debuted in the top 20 at #15 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart and top 10 at #6 on the Billboard Top Rap Albums chart. It’s recently landed on various outlets “Best of the Year (So Far)” lists including Rolling Stone, Billboard, XXL, Consequence of Sound and more – here to listen. Her latest project includes the electric single “Wheelie” featuring 21 Savage, her top 10 Billboard-charting hit single “Big Energy” (plus the “Big Energy (Remix)” with Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled) and her melodic track “Soufside,” which paid homage to her roots in ATL. Latto recently went on her first headlining tour this past year, the 777 Tour, and she’s gearing up to hit the road again as a guest on Lizzo’sTheSpecial Tour which kicks off September 23rd in Florida.

For the past two years and counting,Latto’s made it known that she’s the one you bitches hate, but they can’t get past. To start off 2021 , Latto released “The Biggest,”the first official release under her new moniker, which explained the 23-year-old rapper’s reasoning for the stage name change, her intentions and moving forward with this new phase of her career. Following that with the release of her hit RIAA-certified Platinumsingle “Big Energy”in September 2021 has made Latto inescapable. She went on to make history with the single as the first female rapper to ever have a #1 record at Pop, Rhythm and Urban Radio with the same single. Overall, she’s also the first female artist in 12 years to accomplish this feat, joining the company of Rihanna (“Rude Boy”), Alicia Keys (“No One”), Beyoncé (“Irreplaceable”), Mary J. Blige (“Be Without You”) and Mariah Carey (“We Belong Together”), the last five to previously achieve this. In November 2021, Latto had her late-night television debut on Late Night With Seth Meyers performing the certified smash hit and followed it with a medley performance of her tracks “Sunshine” and “Big Energy” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

With this new chapter of her career, Latto’s star continues to rise with elevated performances and accolades. She received her first-ever nominations for “Best New Artist” and “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist” at the 2021 BET Awards. She followed that with performances at the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards and 2021 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). She performed amedley of “Big Energy” and “Soufside” at the BET Hip Hop Awards and at the VMA’s she gave fans a sneak peek snippet of “Big Energy” prior to its release along with performances of her RIAA-certified Platinum singles “Bitch From Da Souf” and “Muwop” on their Extended Play Stage. In addition to her VMAs performance debut, she received her first VMA nomination for “MTV Push Performance of the Year” for “Sex Lies.” At the close of 2021 and beginning of 2022 she was nominated for two 2021 Soul Train Awards and one 2022 NAACP Image Award for Chris Brown’s “Go Crazy (Remix)” with Young Thug, Lil Durk and Future. In 2022, she was also nominated for “Top Rap Female Artist” for the 2022 Billboard Music Awards and gave a new, elevated performance of “Big Energy” – HEREto watch.

With over 880 million streams worldwide across all platforms and accolades continuing to rack up from her success, it’s clear that Latto has set the stage to become a global superstar.

PRESIDENTE LAUNCHES NEW INITIATIVE TO FUEL GREATER HISPANIC REPRESENTATION IN SPORTS BUSINESS

Diversity within sports is an ongoing issue both on and off the field. Presidente, the iconic Dominican pilsner, alongside Alex Rodriguez, President and Chairman of Presidente, are today announcing a new initiative called “Step Up To the Plate” that will look to provoke change and create more opportunities for Hispanic students interested in a career in sports.

A summer-long program, this initiative will help fuel a pipeline of qualified candidates into the business side of the industry by offering internship and networking opportunities, as well as financial support.

In partnership with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the ‘Step Up to the Plate’ program has awarded nine deserving students a three-month paid internship working on projects across the business that include a strategic sports focus, in collaboration with the Sports Marketing team at Anheuser-Busch – one of the biggest sponsors in sport for almost 40 years.

In addition to the internship, the program awards each student a grant for living expenses in a combined package worth approximately $15K, as well as the opportunity to join Anheuser-Busch in a full-time role following graduation.

“We recognize that the need to diversify leadership in sports is greater than ever, and as a brand that champions the progression of Hispanic culture, we’re more than thrilled to announce this program,” said Alex Monroy, Senior Brand Director of Presidente at Anheuser-Busch. “Step Up to the Plate is meant to bridge the gap between accessibility and opportunity for these students, and ultimately arm them with the tools and experience to “Be the Presidente” of their career in sports.”

In addition to the selected interns, Presidente will give anyone an opportunity to tune into a virtual Q&A session led by none other than former Yankee player, business mogul and Chairman of Presidente, Alex Rodriguez. Taking place on July 11, the virtual seminar will be streamed via Instagram live by Alex Rodriguez (@arod) and Presidente (@presidenteUSA)

“I’m very excited to be working with Presidente on a program that will fuel greater diversity within the industry,” said Alex Rodriguez, President and Chairman of Presidente USA. “Hispanic athletes and fans have played a major part of baseball’s success throughout the years, which is why we think it’s vital that we’re represented not just on the field but in the boardrooms as well.”

Presidente intends for this initiative to be the first push in leveling the playing field for aspiring Hispanic graduates with a passion for sports. As such, the program recipients will begin their internships in Mid-June and will be placed across the Anheuser-Busch marketing team so they can best learn the ins and outs of the business.

For additional details on the ‘Step Up to the Plate’ program and seminar, follow Presidente on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Marc Seal is a successful entrepreneur and seasoned technologist focused on applying blockchain and NFT technologies to the digital sports and entertainment spaces. He leads innovative teams to create world-class products with partners like Disney, Marvel, Fox, Lucasfilm, Toho, MLB, and more.

He is currently the co-founder/CEO of Sortium Blockchain Studio and a pioneer of the Play 2 ecosystem. They focus on futuristic concepts and progressive core loops, as well as emphasizing on application of blockchain technologies and non-fungible tokens to entertainment spaces and digital games. His professional goal is to create an immersive digital experience that engages and entertains fans around the world.

On the other hand, Marc Seal is founder of CryptoGene, the first play-to-win web3 game where players genetically modify creatures called “Kymera” as the world’s first 3D living NFTs with DNA on-chain. By staking and caring for Kymera, players can earn tokenized resources to sell on the market, upgrade creatures, or create new ones. As Marc points out, “These are genetically engineered fantasy creatures that appear in Shane’s DNA through using real sharp DNA that we’ve unleashed via artificial intelligence and simulation using to advance Olympic learning systems.”

The main goal is “providing high-fidelity technology and advancements and artificial intelligence simulation game engine technology or 3D engine technology,” as Marc states. Without a doubt, Marc is clear that this type of games between the simulation and the real world “will alleviate the friction between user participation and the transition between various ecosystems.”

Marc is clear that this type of game must have the quality of AAA and web 3 technology since these “really innovate, specifically the number of verse or image publications, and provide player-specific experiences.”

The most important thing is that everything is built around a high-fidelity gaming experience that’s “fun and it’s not just about how do we open something’s eyes but how do we provide value to a player in the economy to have a fun experience that’s scalable and fun,” Adds Marc.

One of the main things that Marc considers is the importance to remember that not even 1% of the population knows what crypto modes are or even the interaction that can be had with the use of NFC. Marc and his team are certain in knowing that the volume is there to learn about regarding this new technological and digital world.

While gaining more knowledge of the system, users may want to take the license to have the responsibility of managing individual accounts well. Next, you will have the ability to do so, as this is a part of the platform created by Marc and his team whose ultimate goal is, “wanting to reduce friction, but give users the freedom to evolve towards decentralized ownership over time,” adds Marc.

CryptoGene is constantly developing and improving services for current and future investors. Marc adds that his profession comes from this ‘platform’, an economy and game development, AAA development that works with a type of important game design or experience design, so they work on taking principles that generate a profitable and scalable game. Today, they have concentrated on building an ecosystem infrastructure to launch with crypto Gene, “that allows players to log in and then be able to spend money the way any player would log into a game and spend money today.”
