ANNE WILSON – MY JESUS

Capitol CMG artist and songwriter, Anne Wilson, has been taking the music world by storm with the release of her debut album, My Jesus, this Spring. This past Friday, June 3rd, Anne took home 2 K-LOVE Fan Awards – Female Artist of the Year and Breakout Single of the Year for her hit song, “My Jesus.”

“I grew up listening to Christian radio and K-LOVE, so winning a breakout single is just so surreal,” says Wilson. “I am so grateful for how Christian music impacts so many people for the Kingdom. The K-LOVE Fan Awards is the home of the only fan-voted awards show in Christian entertainment. At release, Anne’s debut album, My Jesus, hit the #1 spot on multiple charts including Billboard’s Top Christian & Gospel Albums, Billboard’s Top 200 Christian & Gospel, Billboard’s Top Albums, and Apple Music (Christian & Gospel Category.) The album’s title track, “My Jesus,” earned Anne her first RIAA Gold Certification and a 2022 Billboard Music Award nomination for “Top Christian Song.” The album also made recent CCMG history, scoring the biggest debut week in over 15 years by a Capitol Christian Music Group-signed new artist.

Singer/songwriter Anne Wilson knows the healing power of music firsthand. The lyrics of Hillsong Worship’s “What A Beautiful Name” became a lifeline for the Lexington, Kentucky native after her brother was tragically killed in a car accident at the age of 23. Although she spent much of her childhood behind a piano, Wilson sang in front of an audience for the first time at her brother’s funeral. It was at that moment that she realized what she was born to do. A video of her moving performance organically circulated, eventually landing her a record deal. With a mesmerizing voice and a visible hunger for Jesus, the 20-year-old relies on personal journal entries and time spent in nature for songwriting inspiration. 

Wilson’s introductory track, “My Jesus”—which she co-wrote with Jeff Pardo and Matthew West—is a warm invitation to experience her Savior in the same intimate way she knows Him. She released a debut three-track single—also titled My Jesus—for Capitol Christian Music Group in early 2021 and followed it up with a live EP, My Jesus (Live in Nashville). Her song, “My Jesus,” charted on the Spotify Viral 50, Shazam Top 200, and Rolling Stone Top 25 Trending charts. Her story was also featured in the Religion News Service and The Washington Post. She made her Opry debut on the iconic stage in September 2021. Wilson was featured in Billboard Magazine as the October 2021 Chart Breaker artist.

UB40 Unprecedented 

UB40 – UNPRECEDENTED

UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell & Astro will release their new album Unprecedented, on July 1 via UMe. The album will be released as a black 2LP, a limited-edition white-color 2LP, 1CD, limited-edition cassette as well as digitally. All formats include their new single “Sufferer”, which Ali has dedicated to his beloved friend and bandmate for over four decades, Astro, who tragically passed away last November. 

‘“Sufferer,’ is a song that Astro and I have always loved, from the brilliant Kingstonians,” comments Ali. “Astro was so proud of our version of this song, as am I. It’s the first track of our new studio album Unprecedented which will be out in the summer. This song is more poignant and special than I ever realized after Astro heartbreakingly passed away after recording this album. We want to keep his memory alive through his music and this song and album.”

UB40 Featuring Ali, Astro & Mickey’s most recent album, 2018’s A Real Labour Of Love, debuted at No.2 on the UK album chart, only dropping one place a week later to No.3, and the album spent a month in the Top 10. UB40 topped the UK singles chart on three occasions and sold 70 million records as they took their smooth yet rootsy musical blend to all corners of the globe. Between 1983 and 1998 the group produced three Labour Of Love albums, bringing hits such as Eric Donaldson’s “Cherry Oh Baby”, Lord Creator’s “Kingston Town” and Johnny Osbourne’s “Come Back Darling” to a new, global audience. With flying colors, the most aesthetically gifted electric vehicle of its category.’ – 360

The latest in Lexus’ electrified vehicle lineup was on display at the 2022 Electrify Expo this past June 3-5. The event, which features the newest electric vehicles, bikes, motorcycles and more, was the first time consumers can see the all-new battery electric 2023 Lexus RZ 450e in person alongside the all-new 2022 Lexus NX 450h+.

Taking Luxury All-Electric

As Lexus’ first global battery electric vehicle (BEV) model, the all-new 2023 Lexus RZ 450e embodies the unique Lexus vehicle design and driving experience made available through advanced, electrified technology. The utilization of a BEV-specific platform (e-TNGA), as well as a lightweight and highly rigid body, has enhanced the fundamental performance of the vehicle by achieving optimal weight distribution through ideal placement of the battery and motor. In addition, the DIRECT4 all-wheel drive system and the adoption of a new steering control and available Steer by Wire system (at a future date) enable vehicle control that is more true to the driver’s intention. The Lexus RZ’s exterior design expresses the seamless acceleration and dynamic torque-filled performance specific to BEVs, ushering in a new Lexus aesthetic and establishing a new design direction for BEV offerings. The RZ uses the latest Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, including standard Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert and Emergency Driving Stop System. The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e is expected to go on sale towards the end of 2022.

Lexus’ Popular Crossover Adds Plug-In Option

As the first PHEV in the Lexus lineup, the 2022 Lexus NX 450h+ sets the stage for the next chapter of the Lexus brand. The NX 450h+ has an EPA-estimated 36-mile range on electric power only, made possible by the newly developed, high-capacity lithium-ion battery. The system achieves the EV output equivalent to a 2.0-liter engine for an EPA-estimated combined 84 MPGe. The all-new NX is longer, and taller for more passenger and cargo space and features the model’s all-new Lexus Interface multimedia system, with available 14-inch touchscreen.

In addition to the two vehicles, the Lexus display will include two vehicle charging units, with Lexus product specialists providing demonstrations and answering questions from attendees; graphic walls with information about the Lexus RZ, roadmap of the future, and Lexus’ approach to electrification; and a fun, branded photo backdrop.

The 2022 Electrify Expo will make additional stops in Seattle, Austin, Miami and New York throughout the year – bringing the Lexus RZ and Lexus NX PHEV to a city near you. For more information, click HERE.

JORKAN – NOS MIRAN

The promising Panamanian Jorkan joins artists BCAEl TachiEibyVerzatyl, and Italian Somali to release the song, Nos Miran.

Nos Miran talks about a group of friends who are always attractive to women every time they go out on the street. These six artists appear in the video together with one of their producers, the renowned Panamanian artist and composer Sech.

This reggaeton was produced by Crbro and BK, in addition to Sech, and is available on all digital platforms.

ABOUT JORKAN:

Jorge Denilson Quijada Morris, better known as Jorkan, was born in Panama on October 21, 2002. 

He got his taste for music from a very young age, which made him always dream of being a singer. His influences are in hip hopdance hall and, R&B, with Biggie being his biggest inspiration.

In 2016, when he was only 14 years old, he decided to record his first musical theme and later recorded his first album. Jorkan has managed to occupy top positions on the different lists, streaming and radio platforms in Panama, such as BCA’s “Top Model” with Jorkan and T.O.T.

Today, he has released two albums and many singles. He also signed with the record label AGM ENT, INC, to continue adding hits to their charts.

Carley Rae Jepson The So Nice Tour

CARLY RAE JEPSEN – TSN TOUR

Multi-platinum GRAMMY, Juno, and Polaris Prize-nominated singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen to announce a fall North American headline tour. Her first North American headline tour since 2019, The So Nice Tour will kick off September 24th at MTELUS in Montreal, QC, and will make stops at marquee venues including Radio City Music Hall in New York City and The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Empress Of will support tour dates from Sept. 24 to Nov. 5 with her forthcoming EP Save Me out June 24.

The Artist presale is Wednesday, June 8 at 10 am local time. Fans can register for artist presale codes on Jepsen’s tour dates page HERE. General on-sale is Friday, June 10 at 10 am local time. Jepsen has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket sold will go to The Ally Coalition’s work to support homeless and at-risk LGBTQ youth.

Two already announced co-headline dates with Bleachers; September 21 in Cleveland, OH, and September 22 in Toronto, ON, are already on sale and precedes The So Nice Tour. Jepsen’s The So Nice Tour announcement follows the May release of her highly anticipated single “Western Wind,” and the accompanying video, which Jepsen first performed during her set at Coachella. Co-written by Jepsen and Rostam Batmanglij, “Western Wind” continues a collaboration the two musicians first kicked off with E*MO*TION. A major creative milestone for Jepsen, E*MO*TION inspired in-depth analysis from cultural critics and landed on multiple year-end “best of” lists including Pitchfork, Stereogum, Noisey, NPR, and many more. Released in 2019, her follow-up album Dedicated covered even more musical and emotional ground. Working with a crew of trusted songwriters and producers (among them John Hill, Jack Antonoff, Captain Cuts, Patrik Berger, and her longtime collaborator Tavish Crowe), Jepsen indulged in more sonic experimentation than she had in the past. ADIDAS × GUCCI

The highly anticipated collection envisioned by Creative Director Alessandro Michele featured in a new campaign

For the launch, Alessandro Michele has envisioned a campaign that takes inspiration directly from an archival 1979 adidas catalogue. To animate the concept, a gridded template showcases a variety of moving imagery captured by Carlijn Jacobs. Against brightly colored backdrops, models stretch, run, or dance in place to a soundtrack of pensive phrases such as, “When your thoughts become reality, you understand what magic is.”

Originally debuting on the Exquisite Gucci runway, a mirror-filled space
where historic emblems multiplied and metamorphized across sartorial streetwear, the first adidas x Gucci collection expands on the creative concept founded on an affinity for three stripes. Revealed in a lookbook released last month, the cross-category selection portrays the kaleidoscopic aesthetic of Alessandro Michele by mixing the codes of the House with those of the historic sportswear brand, and consequentially those of high fashion and streetwear.

The assemblage plays out across women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, as well as on bags, shoes, accessories, jewelry, and lifestyle pieces. Throughout the selection, the GG monogram and Interlocking G mix with the adidas Trefoil in colorful prints, as well as on jacquard fabrics; while the red and green Web of Gucci complements the three stripes of adidas. Pushing the collection further into hybridized territory, ready-to-wear pieces echo the sporting attire of decades past while portraying an undeniable contemporary character. Additionally, conventionally formal pieces like leather heels, suede loafers, and silk scarves are marked with casual codes. Beyond the standard selection, the expansive offering also includes some lifestyle items including a golf bag in two different variations, a nod to the House’s heritage in leisure products.

THE POP

Gucci announces the arrival of a brand new series of Gucci Pop-Ups and Pop-Ins, the ephemeral stores providing a captivating shopping experience, dedicated to the adidas x Gucci collection starting from June 7.

Showcasing the products in an immersive, dedicated environment which reflects Gucci’s unconventional approach to luxury fashion, the initiative is aimed at connecting and engaging with clients over the world and their surrounding communities. In addition to the adidas x Gucci pop-ups, Gucci will also open dedicated pop-in locations within existing stores including: Los Angeles Melrose, New York Wooster Street and Fifth Avenue, Gucci East Hampton, Miami’s Aventura Mall, Chicago Michigan Ave, Houston Galleria, Atlanta Lenox, and Holt Renfrew Toronto Yorkdale.

adidas x Gucci merges the emblems of the House with those of the iconic sportswear brand. Anticipated by the first adidas x Gucci lookbook, the collection expands on the sartorial streetwear creations that debuted on the runway with a spectrum of sport-inspired pieces, distinguished by the same retro aesthetics of the show. With the heritage of both brands encoded in a trio of lines, a fixation on stripes plays out across ready-to-wear and accessories including Gucci’s own take on the famous adidas Gazelle sneaker.

*All paper and cardboard come from sustainably managed forest sources, and an uncoated paper has been used to ensure it is fully recyclable. In addition, shopping bag handles are made of 100% recycled polyester while pouches and suit carriers are made of a mix of regenerated cotton and recycled polyester. Reflecting a shared commitment to innovation, progress, sustainability goals, and collective action, the collection features multiple pieces crafted with future-conscious material fabrications including polyester, cotton, and viscose. Furthermore, each piece comes with special packaging that features the adidas x Gucci logo and that was strategically designed to reduce environmental impact.

**The collection will be distributed through designated stores, online on Gucci.com and through ephemeral Gucci Pop-Ups, where the spaces will be decorated with one of the geometric prints found in the offering. A dedicated product selection will also be available.

Nellie’s Southern Kitchen

 Nellie’s Southern Kitchen, a Jonas family experience honoring their matriarch’s timeless recipes, has officially opened the doors to its first West Coast location at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Helmed by Denise and Kevin Jonas, Sr. – the parents of Kevin II, Joe and Nick (the Jonas Brothers) and Franklin – in partnership with TLI Bedrock LLC, Nellie’s welcomes guests to a seat at the Jonas family table with nightly live music, generous hospitality and timeless Southern comfort food.

MGM Grand is the second restaurant location for Nellie’s Southern Kitchen, which began in Belmont, North Carolina. Nellie’s Southern Kitchen is a celebration of Nellie, Kevin, Sr.’s grandmother, who lived in Belmont working in the cotton mills by day and cooking delicious meals for her loved ones by night. Nellie combined music and food into nightly rituals around the table, forging the tight-knit traditions the Jonas family continues to this day. 

The opening celebration included appearances by Denise and Kevin Jonas, Sr., all four Jonas brothers and Danielle Jonas. Entertainment was provided by Jonas Group Entertainment artists including Olivia “LIVVIA” Somerlyn, Bailee Madison, Lanie Gardner, Hayley Orrantia, Hello Sisterand Terri Jo Box along with special guest Daniella MasonFollowing the party, the Jonas Brothers took the stage down the street at Dolby Live theater at Park MGM for their residency performance.

Authentic, Comforting Southern Cuisine

Nellie’s welcomes guests to a seat at the Jonas family table to enjoy recipes passed down from Grandma Nellie, and reimagined favorites from executive chef Mario Nichols, who was raised in North Carolina and began cooking soul food with his family at a young age.

  • Appetizers – Guests will feel right at home with a mix of Southern staples and delicious takes on favorites to kick off their meal. The Collard and Artichoke Dip with collards, artichoke and parmesan is an extra savory version of the beloved starter. A Las Vegas exclusive, the Southern Rolls feature BBQ chicken, creamy mac and cheese and collards rolled in a crispy fried egg roll, served with Nellie’s signature sauce. No meal is complete without a basket of Grandma Nellie’s famous pillowy Biscuits with cinnamon-honey butter and jam.
  • Entrées – Fans of traditional homestyle dishes will be enchanted by Nellie’s Chicken and Dumplins, a must-try Jonas family dish featuring chicken and house-made dumplins in a rich broth served over silky mashed potatoes, gravy and collard greens. For a unique variation on a seafood staple, guests can opt for Chef Nichols’ Shrimp and Grits with fried grit cakes and blackened shrimp topped with Cajun cream sauce and fresh pico de gallo. Guests also can enjoy fresh Fried Catfish filets, salt-and-pepper fried and served with coleslaw, french fries and house-made remoulade.
  • BBQ Essentials – Bringing backyard favorites to the dining table, Nellie’s offers an assortment of burgers, steaks and sandwiches served with classic sides. The Hawg Hill Pulled Pork Sandwich features pecan-smoked pulled pork tossed in a tangy sauce and served on a soft brioche bun with coleslaw. Guests looking for something heartier will enjoy the Carolina Burger made with specialty blended beef and served with chili, slaw, onion and mustard; as well as the Chef’s Choice Steak, featuring Chef’s selection of chargrilled steak and the option to add shrimp or lobster tail for a full surf-and-turf experience.
  • Lighter Fare – For those opting for something lighter, Nellie’s serves up scrumptious salads including the Nellie’s Cobb Salad with chopped romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, cherry tomatoes, diced bacon, bleu cheese and a boiled egg; as well as protein-packed plates such as the Grilled Shrimp Plate with grilled or blackened shrimp and grilled veggies. Other dishes include the Molasses Glazed Salmon, featuring wild-caught salmon tossed in a special South Carolina molasses glaze paired with roasted potatoes and green beans; and the Cajun Chicken Bowl with blackened chicken breast served with roasted potatoes and trinity corn.
  • Dessert – For the perfect send off, guests can indulge in Nellie’s rich Banana Pudding, which ismade with fresh bananas, layered and topped with whipped cream, then garnished with wafer cookies.

Transporting Belmont to Vegas

The folkloric aesthetic of Nellie’s Southern Kitchen, designed by OLY Studio’s Kate McIntyre, transports visitors to Kevin, Sr.’s upbringing in Belmont. The charm of small-town North Carolina is recreated through weathered barnwood, white shiplap cottage walls, and unique handmade furnishings and artwork inspired by the beautiful Smoky Mountains.  

Design highlights include:

  • Entrance – Guests enter through a sculptural hallway inspired by the quilts Grandma Nellie collected and are welcomed with her towering portrait, which celebrates Nellie’s simple-yet-remarkable life. Amongst other references, cotton from the mill is transformed to diamonds in her hair. A banjo and spoons at the front of her dress represent Nellie’s lifelong love of gathering friends and family around music and her home cooking.
  • Front Porch – The Front Porch invites diners to a bright space reminiscent of Grandma Nellie’s front porch, punctuated with birdhouses and hanging flowerpot-inspired chandeliers overhead. Table legs take on the form of tree trunks, signifying the beauty of the Belmont region beyond the cotton mills.
  • Bar(n) – Nellie’s bar area features playfully designed tables that sit atop horse legs, as if guests just pulled up to the stable. Kevin’s uncle always joked if he ever opened a restaurant, he would need a reserved table for knocking back a couple of beers after work – so Kevin and Kate fashioned tables that could give him a ride home, too.  
  • The Meadow – Private dining rooms evoke Belmont’s blissful meadows. Memories of running through freshly laundered sheets blowing in the wind inspire the wavy, cloud-like roof. Walls are adorned with merry paintings of blue skies, billowy clouds and green landscapes that complement the blues and greens in the rooms’ lush furniture.
  • Night Owl – Featuring live music nightly, Nellie’s moody back room is built around a state-of-the-art performance stage and A/V system designed by the same companies who oversee the Jonas Brothers’ concert experience. A captivating full moon light fixture juxtaposed with chandeliers emulating dew drops on blades of grass define the seated section, which is watched over by large owl portraits. Cozy couches with colors and textures inspired by nature offer a comfortable lounge vibe for both dining and enjoying music.

The Temptations, the legendary, Grammy Award ® -winning group, led by founding member, Otis Williams are kicking off their summer and fall concert seasons this month with fan favorites such as, “My Girl,” “Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me),” “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg,” “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” and more. 

Hitting the road with original Temptations member, Otis Williams will be longtime lead vocalists, Ron Tyson, and Terry Weeks, and new to the group, Grammy-nominated vocalist Anthony “Tony” Grant, and new member, Jawan M. Jackson, from the original cast of the Tony Award-Winning Broadway musical, Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations. Jackson played the starring role as beloved, original Temptation, Melvin Franklin. 

Jawan M. Jackson will be making his debut with The Temptations this month as the bass vocalist. Born and raised in the heart of Motown, Jawan M. Jackson is a native of Detroit. Jackson made his professional debut starring in Broadway’s Motown: The Musical. In Broadway’s Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations, he originated the leading role of Melvin Franklin and earned a Grammy® nomination for the musical’s cast album. 

He has also appeared in several feature films, television movies, and specials. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Jackson began his career as a radio personality for Detroit’s top radio stations. Jackson is also thrilled to be part of the Board of Directors for Rosie’s Theatre Kids.

Anthony Grant, a Grammy-nominated vocalist joined the legendary Temptations earlier this year as a lead vocalist. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in North Carolina, Grant achieved his initial fame in the music industry as the lead vocalist for Az Yet (LaFace Records). He has also performed with a range of artists, including Brian McKnight, Dr. Dre, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, and Harry Connick Jr. He has also starred in several Tyler Perry theater productions and television series. 

Ron Tyson, first tenor and a lead vocalist for the Temptations, has been a member of the group for 39 years, beginning in February 1983. Born in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in Monroe, NC, Ron was a big Temptations fan growing up and idolized Eddie Kendricks and his style. He feels blessed to be a member of the group and has often referred to his Temptations career as one of the greatest things to happen to him. Ron’s first appearance as a member of The Temptations was on the “Motown 25, Today, Yesterday, Forever” network television special in 1983.

Terry Weeks, a lead vocalist for the Temptations, has been with the group for 25 years, since 1997. Terry grew up in Bessemer, AL near Birmingham listening to gospel, bluegrass, and country music. Weeks spent eight years in the Air Force, from 1982 to 1990, serving in Korea and the U.S. at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, KS, and Gunter Air Force Station in Montgomery, AL. He would often sing locally around the Montgomery base, and performed in Tops in Blue, an Air Force ensemble, made up of active-duty members, that toured globally performing for airmen and their families.

Neneh Cherry remix of Manchild by SIA via 360 Magazine

Neneh Cherry shares the TOKiMONSTA remix of Sia’s version of her hit “Manchild.” TOKiMONSTA has re-imagined Sia’s take of the Neneh Cherry classic into a technicolour mandala of futuristic melodies, house, and IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) that encompass the Grammy-nominated DJ and producer’s sound. The remix arrives ahead of her upcoming album The Versions, a collaboration album of covers from her expansive catalogue by an all-female lineup of some of the most exciting and revered artists of our time, drops June 10th.

Alongside Sia, other artists involved include a long-time friend, one of pop’s treasured musical geniuses, and the woman behind some of the most memorable songs of the recent decade, Robyn, who teamed up with Mapei to re-imagine the seminal track “Buffalo Stance” into a slinky, scandipop song with the help of Dev Hynes on production. Pop provocateur, ANOHNI lends her haunting vocals to “Woman”, delivering an arresting remake of the empowering track, and south London nomad Greentea Peng transforms “Buddy X” into a garage infused number.
