Rolls-Royce Winter Highlights

March 21st marked the first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere with day and night almost equally divided in half. Before the introduction of the ‘Architecture of Luxury’ with Cullinan, that was the day Rolls-Royce owners began to unfurl garage covers and prepare to ship their commissions back North. You can enjoy your Rolls-Royce motor car 365 days a year, 24/7!

But before we put the Winter of 2021-22 behind us, we wanted to share some highlights of Rolls-Royce in the snow

During the daytime, Rolls Royce Ghost is the most technologically advanced Rolls-Royce and reflects ‘Post Opulent’ design philosophy in rain, sunshine, or snow. At night, the alter ego Black Badge Ghost offers the same luxury with All-wheel drive and all-wheel steering for unprecedented poise and surefootedness.

The Ghost sports the world’s first Planar suspension system, significantly increasing agility and effortlessness. Equipped with hallmark 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, the car delivers 563hp and 627 lbf/ft. The Down-lit Pantheon grille discreetly illuminates Rolls-Royce iconography.

The Illuminated Fascia debuted featuring Ghost nameplates surrounded by more than 850 stars. The Rolls-Royce Cullinan was the first to introduce an All-Wheel drive into the range, allowing effortless travel. With the touch of a button, the ‘off road’ Cullinan raises 40mm allowing better clearance and more prowess. With the extraordinarily capable all-wheel drive system, and all wheel steering, the Cullinan is nimble and luxurious. The Black Badge Cullinan brings the darker, edgier image for exploring the nighttime. The “Shooting Starlight” headliner carries the nighttime into the cabin regardless of the weather.

VELLUM LA – NFT ART

Vellum LA, Los Angeles’s premier art gallery for NFT-backed digital art, has done a remarkable job bringing together a traditionally digital community in-person, uniting collectors and NFT-enthusiasts at their space on Melrose. Now, in pursuit of furthering their outreach and expanding their impact, the gallery has partnered with Artsy, the leading global online art marketplace, to present a truly unique collection of works that benefit Girls Who Code.

Curated by Artist and Writer Mieke Marple and Vellum LA’s Sinziana Velicescu, Artists Who Code is a selection of NFT backed generative artworks by women and non-binary artists. Responding to the public perception of the NFT world as a male-dominated space, the exhibition foregrounds the central role and major impact women and nonbinary creators have in digital art and technology.

Using generative art techniques such as AI and algorithms as empowering tools, the show explores the realm of possibilities for a new language in the realm of digital art and beyond.

Featuring works by Morehshin Allahyari, Cibelle Cavalli Bastos, IX Shells, Sofia Crespo, LIA, Marjan Moghaddam, Helena Sarin, Anne Spalter, Alida Sun, Ellie Pritts, and more, this group exhibition sits at the intersection of innovation and outreach, bringing together feats of personal accomplishment and furthering the NFT field as a whole.

In pursuit of true community building and honor of Women’s History Month, a portion of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the non-profit Girls Who Code, in line with Artsy’s mission to empower women and non-binary creators during women’s history month.

AVADAR C3-CITY EBIKE

The modern commuter – pedaling their way through downtown, in a rush to get to their job safely and speedily, interested in an eco-friendly way to ride – demands a certain level of excellence from their transportation. Bikes are an obvious solution, but beyond traditional bikes, ebikes are increasingly a solution for dynamic city streets, hilly terrain, and more. The Avadar C3-City ebike rewrites the rules in the realm of ebikes, creating a dynamic experience for the modern rider.

With the ever-growing demand for ebikes, Avadar has built a contemporary one. From a brand whose products are for those who simply love to ride, Avadar emphasizes fit and function. The brand’s philosophy ensures their bikes are simple to use and reasonably priced.

360 MAGAZINE had the opportunity to test out one of these ebikes on the streets of the Bronx – an iconic neighborhood that is a mix of flat and rolling terrain, steep hills and pot holes – and found the ebike more than delivered. Read on to hear about the difference of an Avadar bike.

Curb Appeal

At 59lbs, the Avadar C3-City ebike allows for a sturdy yet lightweight ride in all contexts and all terrains. Whether its biking to work in the mornings or enjoying an adventure ride through the mountains, the Avadar can conquer any terrain.

Regarding aesthetics, the bike comes in two eye-catching shades: red and blue. The metallic midnight blue color of the bike is a new color from Avadar, a slick hue that immediately draws the eye. The aerodynamic structural elements paired with futuristic flare of the Avadar set it apart from competing ebikes from a style standpoint.

The size of the Avadar itself is a secure and adaptable length of 183 cm and is accompanied by a 2smooth, aluminum construction and feel.

Design

With a sharp aerodynamic design, the Avadar demands attention. The soft tail seat provides great cushion for any riders traveling a further distance. Further convenience stems from the ability to adjust the seat to the perfect height, guaranteeing an easy ride no matter the destination. Further fitting the bike to one’s own body and comfort is the Avadar sizes, M or L, granting even more customization.

The Avadar comes with wheel fenders and a rear bike rack for maximum convenience. The highly stylized fenders defend from dirt, weather and other messes. The bike rack ensures simple transport for the bike on the go. The integration of a removable integrated battery (RIB) is encased in the frame or “rib cage” of the bike, easily hidden from the eye, further assures that the bike is as easy on the eyes as possible, while providing an ideal ride.

With a unisex design, this bike is great for those looking for an elegant, innovative style of bike.

Technology

With a 0-5 level pedal assist, the bike allows for a customization of power levels dependent on varying terrains and inclines. No matter how great the need, Avadar can provide a push. The 10Ah battery can fully charge in a mere four hours, making it easy to charge overnight or while at work. In combination with the pedal assist mode, Avadar can provide a distance of 100KM/62 Miles, perfect not only for the commuter, but long-distance riders as well.

Another exceptional feature is the LCD screen, providing easy to read speed, mileage and power information. Like the LCD display found on the Himiway Escape, The LCD screen is found beside the handlebar of the bike for maximum amenity. Data collected during rides pops up on the screen with IP67 TFT Color Display, controlled by the push of a button.

Night rides can provide a challenge for even the most experienced of riders. But the use of a 36V LED headlight ensures full visibility throughout the course of an evening ride. The brightness of the headlight ensures no need for extra lights on the Avadar. The use of an integrated light system permits no wires are out and in the way of the performance of the bike. This assures safety, security and style.

Another unique quality of the Avadar is its ready to ride availability. The mid-motor of the bike has a throttle sensor that allows for performance adjustments while riding. This portion of the bike acts as the “brain” – with torque sensing the modifications riders themselves make as they go. It gives smart technology a new meaning – a ride through the city running errands will be organically improved on its own, no brain power of an owner required

Functionality & Customization

One of the best customizations for the Avadar is the removable integrated battery (RIB). The RIB is a one-piece battery fit with a cover and built-in handle, allowing for easier removal and reinstallation. The RIB fits in the frame of the “neck” of the bike. If batteries lose their power on the way to dinner with friends, bring the RIB right along inside to charge while wining and dining. The Avadar provides ultimate functionality.

A middle bar in the “torso” of the bike allows for relaxed moving access and transportation of the bike. Hopping on the train? Pick the bike up by this section, which essentially can function as a handle, and jump on. This allows for simple and effortless travel with the bike.

Performance

The Avadar isn’t just a bike that looks pretty – it has the powerful technology to back up its good looks. With the one-of-a-kind use of a mid-drive motor, this skyrockets the climbing ability of the Avadar. Offering 80Nm of torque, the mid-drive motor certifies an effortless and smooth handling ride. Located near the bottom bracket, the 250-watt motor maintains speeds up to 28mph.

Similarly impressive, the Avadar employs high-end hydraulic brakes. The hydraulic brake systems use brake fluid to diffuse force in the brake system. This system of breaking is far more responsive than typical brake pads, allowing for effortless stopping in all kinds of weather, further promising a safe ride.

The Avadar C3 ebike is known for its effortless ride ability with front suspension. The bike has no suspension on the back but combined with the mid-motor and suspension in the front of the bike, balances out for a light and easy ride. Suspension being placed in the front ensures speedier pedaling, especially in sprints to catch the train or on climbs up hilly terrains.

Ergonomics

The Avadar C3 ebike allows for great mobility and efficiency. This bike is great for students needing a means of transportation to get to class, a DoorDash-er delivering food to their customers, or a young worker looking for an eco-friendlier way to get to work. The Avadar is great for those on the go but can also be useful for more laid-back lifestyles. Yet the Avadar isn’t all about speed and efficiency – its pleasurable riding experience means it is ideal for a leisurely ride around town or summer cruise on trails with friends. No matter the lifestyle needs, the Avadar is ideal.

Priced at $2180, the Avadar C3-City ebike is great for a user looking to get the most out of their purchase. Great for ages 16+, integrate this bike into the fabric of daily life. The Avadar is guaranteed to get anyone where they need to go.

Reebok × Power Rangers

Reebok, in partnership with Hasbro, debuts a second Reebok x Power Rangers collection. The line follows the original Reebok x Power Rangers drop, which launched in June 2021, that was inspired by the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television series of the 1990s.

Reebok and Hasbro highlighted some of the most popular Mighty Morphin characters in the original Power Rangers show with the first collection. This new capsule collection shines a light on some of the most formidable villains featured throughout the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers show. Drawing inspiration from characters including Rita Repulsa, Lord Zedd, and Rito Revolto, this line brings to life some of the Power Rangers’ most worthy adversaries.

Footwear featured in the second Reebok x Power Rangers line include:

  • Instapump Fury “Rita Repulsa” ($200 | GW0782) – This Instapump Fury features all of Rita Repulsa’s signature markings from the icon on the pump ball representing Rita’s staff, to the bands on the tongue resembling Rita’s headband. Rita’s influence even seeps into the materials with pony hair featured on the heel cup to emulate Rita’s headware.
  • Hurrikaze II Low “Rito Revolto” ($140 | GY5928) – The upper of this Kamikaze II Low makes the shoe instantly recognizable as Rito Revolto as the neutral upper represents Rito’s bones and the camo application on the medial side suede resembles Rito’s outfit. Other warnings that this shoe is for villains only is that the sneaker’s tongue includes the Evil Space Alien callout on the right side and the “Danger Ranger” skull and crossbones on the left side.
  • Answer IV “Lord Zedd” ($170 | GZ6897) – Lord Zedd takes over this Answer IV with a red, rippled upper that resembles Lord Zedd’s body, silver overlays that nod to Lord Zedd’s armor and a blue tube along the lateral side which mimics Lord Zedd’s tubes. The villain even shows up on the outsole where Iverson’s face would typically be on this classic basketball silhouette.

Beyond the details above, each footwear silhouette contains a sockliner that marks signature moments or features of each character the shoe is inspired by. For example, the Answer IV Lord Zedd sockliner incorporates images of the ingredients in Rita Repulsa’s love potion that she used on Lord Zedd. Each shoe also comes in specialized packaging unique to its character, from the Instapump Fury Rita Repulsa’s “Rita’s Moon Dumpster” box to Lord Zedd’s box inspired by the Angel Grove Community Center.

Completing the collection are five pieces of apparel, including one hoodie, one long sleeve tee and three t-shirts. The hoodie is inspired by the Megazord‘s transformation and incorporates a hand-drawn Megazord emblem in the center graphic on the back of the piece. The long sleeve tee embodies the Green Ranger and features several details representative of the character, from his alias, Thomas

“Tommy” Oliver, to his “Dragon Dagger.” Finally, the three t-shirts are all in the style of retro arcade graphics and showcase both the heroes and villains of the Power Rangers franchise.

This Reebok x Power Rangers collection will be available in unisex sizing HERE beginning March 25th.Power Rangers is celebrating 29 continuous years on the air, making it one of the longest- running kids’ live-action series in television history, with more than 900 episodes aired to date. Created by Haim Saban and launched in 1993 with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the series celebrates its 29th overall season with a new season of Power Rangers Dino Fury, airing now exclusively on Netflix in the U.S.

Expert Diet Advice

Health is important, and having a good diet is necessary, but with a million “experts” out there, it’s hard to know what to take seriously. This is why to trust scientists like Nicole Avena, PhD, Associate Professor of Neuroscience at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Visiting Professor of Health Psychology and Princeton University. She gave the below advice.

  • Eat your fruits and veggies: It’s a cliché tip that many individuals have heard from their parents from a very young age. But it’s true. Each day you should strive to have at least a handful of both fruits and vegetables. Try finding foods that are high in antioxidants like blueberries, strawberries, and kale. In light of this year’s theme, ‘Celebrate a World of Flavors,’ go outside your comfort zone and try a new recipe or food from a different country. It might become a new favorite!
  • Daily vitamin intake: In addition to a healthy and balanced diet, it’s important to cover all your bases when it comes to daily vitamins. Each person’s dietary needs will vary slightly. While most people can get enough from diet alone, others may need to take a supplement, and nowadays, there are many vitamin options for men and women of all ages. For men, try vitafusion™ Men’s multivitamin, and for women, try vitafusion™ Women’s multivitamin, both easy to take chewable gummy supplements that include the necessary vitamins and minerals to stay on track. With the weather so unpredictable this season, I also recommend having a cold shortening product on hand that contains zinc, like Zicam RapidMelts, that can help get rid of a cold quicker when taken at the first sign of symptoms. Taking vitamins is a simple yet often overlooked habit for maintaining proper health. If you need an extra reminder, set a daily alarm to ensure you get your necessary vitamin intake.
  • Water is your friend: Staying hydrated is essential for your overall health. Not only does water help increase your energy levels and flush out toxins, but it also helps your body maintain regularity and improves your skin complexion. It can be easy to forget to drink water throughout the day, so keep a water bottle at your desk or area where you spend most of your time. This will serve as a constant reminder to stay hydrated.
  • Spice up your life: This month, try incorporating more herbs and spices into your diet and ‘Celebrate a World of Flavors.’ Herbs and spices allow you to season food using less salt and sugar while imparting health benefits. Fresh ginger, basil, rosemary, and mint are all excellent additions to many foods and recipes widely consumed around the world. In celebration of flavor, I challenge you to try a spice you have never tried before.

Three Things You Should Know Before Starting an Art Career

A career in something you’re passionate about means every day at work can feel like an opportunity for self-satisfaction and personal growth. If you love being creative and artistic, then you may have considered a career in art before today and asked whether it was an opportunity for someone like you. The good news for would-be professional artists, is there are a multiple of fantastic ways to monetize your skills today.

Everything from hand-drawn designs on Etsy to print-on-demand selling and custom art websites give you an opportunity to sell to people all over the world. You can even get hired by professional companies as an in-house artist for their branding and marketing campaigns. However, there are some important things to know before you jump in.

A Degree Does Help

While experience can go a long way in the art world, along with a strong portfolio, a degree can help you to unlock opportunities that other artists simply can’t access. With a degree, you can prove yourself to potential companies who might be willing to hire an up-and-coming artist to join their team. A degree also helps you to attract potential clients as a freelancer or business owner. Getting a degree might seem like a complex task, but with access to various forms of funding like Earnest student loans, you can find the cash you need and start your degree in no time. There’s even the option to learn online for some people.

Greatness Takes Time

The road to success for a lot of professionals can be very long, but for an artist, it often feels particularly complex. It takes a lifetime to build your craft, and there’s likely to be a lot of tears and headaches along the way. People can be cruel and unconstructive in the art world, and you’ll need to make sure you can achieve a positive mindset and that you are patient enough to move past it. If you really want to succeed in this complex space, you’ll need to focus on consistently working on your craft, looking for new opportunities, and building your network, so you can get your work in front of as many people as possible.

Running Your Own Business Could Be Your Best Bet

Finally, while there are traditional hiring opportunities out there for artists, most find they get better opportunities in the freelance route. Today, countless platforms exist for different kinds of artists to offer their services with everything from custom portraits, to animation and logos. Running your own business could be the best way to make sure you’re constantly earning a source of income from different clients. However, there are pros and cons of being a small business owner, so this also means you’ll need to tackle the challenges that come with it, from learning how to market yourself, to making sure you keep an accurate inventory at all times. Becoming a professional artist won’t always be an easy road, but it could be worth it if it means you get to start a career in something you truly care about.

Before embarking on an art career, it’s important to familiarize yourself with platforms like Gelato that offer print-on-demand services, enabling artists to showcase and monetize their work through high-quality prints and products.

Annika Wells – Modern Art

Rising pop artist Annika Wells shares the video for her new single “Modern Art.” The video was directed by Logan Fields (Syd, Slayyyter, Rod Wave) and captures the songs essence as Annika walks the halls of an art gallery. The exhibit? Remnants of a relationship.

The minimalist pop song is a poignant piece of commentary on heartbreak in the digital age. Her voice is soft yet fragile as she tries to absorb the truth of her own words. “There’s no pretty way to break a heart,” she intones in a half whisper over an ominous drone. A delicate beat then kicks up underneath, urging her to share more. “Breaking up is modern art,” she declares, before orchestral strings sweep in as if soundtracking the credits to another sad ending.

The track not only captures the pain of a breakup, but the struggle with having to process it inside—and online. Annika explains that the song “explores the aftermath in the modern age where our relationships are no longer just interpersonal experiences, but digital galleries in which we can curate, arrange, and erase carefully constructed identities. It walks you through the world that’s left after the real break up—the physical evidence, but also the online remnants that are increasingly inescapable in this day and age.”

About Annika Wells

Most people keep personal, embarrassing, and crazy thoughts to themselves. Annika Wells isn’t one of those people. She doesn’t just express these thoughts out loud either. She peppers them through her songs with the kind of honesty you expect from your childhood best friend. In her music, she’ll rattle off bucket list ambitions, refer to herself phallically, or write about a doomed romance (with that same ex as her cowriter). After watching her older brother play piano, she started taking classical lessons at the age of four. She eventually ended up at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Before dropping out, she linked up with producer Giulio Cercato and wrote and recorded what would become her first single “Break” in 2016. It caught fire around the world, catapulted onto the Spotify Global Viral Chart, and eventually eclipsed 15 million Spotify streams. She wrote and featured on “Crawl Outta Love” for Illenium, amassing 58 million Spotify streams, reaching the Top 30 on the Billboard Hot/Dance Electronic Songs Chart, and notching the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) Grand Prize. Between performing in sold-out arenas across the country with Illenium throughout 2019, she landed a string of major placements as a writer for Jonas Brothers, PRETTYMUCH, BTS, and Steve Aoki. After racking up over half a billion streams, she welcomes everyone into her mind and heart on a series of singles and her forthcoming debut for Vol. 1/Epic Records.
