AEROMOBIL ANNOUNCEMENT

AeroMobil announces the second model of its revolutionary flying car, the 4-seater AM NEXT. AM NEXT leverages the ground-breaking engineering of AM4.0, the world’s first production flying car. AM4.0 is a 2-seater luxury personal vehicle – more than a supercar and a light aircraft combined, it is a new species of vehicle which will start deliveries in 2024.

The primary business model for AM NEXT, launching in 2027, is a fleet aerial ride-hailing service. AM NEXT will provide significant time-savings on regional routes in the 100-500 mile range, which are too far to drive and too short, or inconvenient, to fly. AM NEXT will provide no-hassle travel: door-to-door single-seat convenience and comfort, to work, rest, play, or just enjoy the view.

A leading global management consulting firm measured the Total Addressable Market (“TAM”) for the AeroMobil ride-hailing service as $70 billion annually just in North America. This is calculated from an extensive survey of traveler switching rates based on time, price and convenience on 660,000 routes within AM NEXT’s range.

Like AM4.0, the AM NEXT flying car has major advantages over other Advanced Air Mobility solutions. AeroMobil’s technology uses existing infrastructure (over 10,000 landing strips in the US), fits existing automotive and aviation regulation, and has significantly greater range than eVTOL craft. AeroMobil also has very few competitors which will enable strong profit margins thanks to leading market share and differentiated branding.

AeroMobil’s business model is capital and overhead efficient. The company engineers and designs the hardware and software, and will manage the customer experience through a proprietary flight booking app. Manufacturing and fleet operations are outsourced to leading specialists in these fields.

Patrick Hessel, CEO of AeroMobil, stated:

“We are excited to announce the second revolutionary model of AeroMobil’s true flying car. Following AM4.0, the world’s first production flying car, AM NEXT will disrupt and democratize the regional travel market. It will provide a better, and in many cases previously unavailable, solution to trips in the 100-500 mile range. AeroMobil will leverage AM4.0’s proof of concept of engineering and regulation, and its premium branding, into AM NEXT’s mass-market aerial ride-hailing service”.

“Coinciding with the announcement of AM NEXT, we are touring the prototype 2-seater AM4.0 flying car in the United States, with public viewing and with private appointments for investors, buyers and operators. Details are on aeromobil.com”.

The AeroMobil 4.0 will be at the Hiller Aviation Museum in Silicon Valley between March 8th and 20th.

The vehicle will be at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles between March 22nd and 29th.

SUMMER WALKER – NO LOVE

The reigning queens of R&B, streaming supernova Summer Walker and chart-topper SZA, announce Grammy-winning artist Cardi B will appear on a new version for their hit single, “No Love” (LVRN/Interscope Records) coming this Friday. Summer confirmed the news on Instagram, days after she hinted at a third performer by suggesting that the single artwork represented each woman’s Zodiac birth sign. Savvy fans quickly jumped on Cardi B as the leading candidate, and the two jumped on an Instagram Live to celebrate the news in front of their combined 130 million followers. The new version, titled “No Love (Extended)” also includes a new music video to be released the same day. Pre-save “No Love (Extended)” HERE.

In its original form, “No Love” instantly lit up charts around the world upon its debut last November. The song surged to No. 1 on Apple Music’s U.S. Top 100 chart and became the first song to dethrone Adele’s long-standing champ “Easy on Me.” Plus, though it wasn’t an official single at the time, “No Love” debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 to become Summer Walker’s highest-charting hit. The collab appears on Summer’s Still Over It, which broke the record for the album for the most one-week streams ever by a female R&B artist, with 201.1 million in its debut week, and was the first R&B album by a female act to top the Billboard 200 albums chart since 2016. Those achievements, along with 18 Hot 100 hits from the project, powered Summer to be honored with the Chartbreaker Award at Billboard’s annual Women in Music celebration earlier this month.

SZA, too, is also riding high with her own hit streak. The multi-platinum singer’s “I Hate U” has jumped from a fan-favorite Soundcloud release to the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  Among its feats, it entered at #1 on both Spotify and Apple Music US charts and broke the record for the most streamed R&B song by a female artist on Apple Music in its first week.  In addition to that certified smash, the virtuoso also racked up two more top 10 Hot 100 hits in 2021 thanks to the 3x-platinum hit “Good Days” and by assisting Doja Cat on the summer banger, “Kiss Me More.”

The extended version reunites Cardi B musically with both ladies. She and SZA teamed up on “I Do” from Cardi’s Grammy-winning Invasion of Privacy album, while she and Summer collaborated on “Bitter,” which generated a wave of social media attention for its subject matter and the rapper’s spoken-word advice affirmations. The pairing was just one of her highlights of 2021, a year that included her landing a fifth No. 1 Hot 100 hit with “Up,” a nominee for the Grammy Award for best rap performance at next month’s ceremony. The superstar also recently secured her third RIAA-certified diamond single (“I Like It”), tying for the most by any female artist in history.

Most importantly, it paves the way for more to come from Sean Paul with the impending arrival of Scorcha.

Sean recently earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Reggae Album for his 7th studio album Live N Livin, which was released in 2021. The album is a collaborative celebration of his Jamaican heritage and dancehall roots in which Sean trades the mic with Buju Banton and Damian Marley. Dancehall can be stereotyped as a competitive, macho space where sound clashes are king, but Live N Livin set out to emphasize what’s possible when unity is the goal. “We don’t need to divide our fans to attain the rotations on the airwaves or streams,” Sean says. “I hold this album very dear to my heart because it shows the effort of collaboration over confrontation.”

FENDI Caffe Miami via Gnazzo Group for use by 360 Magazine

Fendi Caffe and Aventura Pop-Up

FENDI announces the return from March 17 through May 1, 2022, of the iconic FENDI CAFFE at OTL Restaurant in the heart of Miami’s vibrant Design District, located across from the FENDI Boutique, following the great success of the FF Vertigo-inspired iteration in Summer 2021.

In a celebration of the spring season, the new creative concept for the FENDI CAFFE draws creative cues from the FENDI Women’s Spring/Summer 2022 Collection, and its inspiration from the figurative drawings of visionary fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez. In collaboration with The Estate and Archive of Antonio Lopez and Juan Eugene Ramos, the artist’s work has been freshly revived for the FENDI Women’s Spring/Summer 2022 Collection, bringing a modern perspective on disco-age glamour, and a spotlight on the diverse and powerful femininity that underscores the FENDI name.

With a bold sunset graphic in hues of red, orange, and yellow, the FENDI CAFFE takes over the outdoor corridors of the restaurant and FENDI Boutique. The concept comes to life with illustrations of ‘Lopez Girls’–focusing on Lopez’s innovative vision on femininity, diversity, inclusivity, and unconventional beauty–emblazoned across the outside of the space.

Upon entering, guests will immediately discover the space transformed into a world of FENDI and Antonio Lopez.  The space will be adorned with rainbow graphics and the sketches of ‘Lopez Girls’ come to life in 3D billboard sculptures. The FENDI CAFFE tables embrace the 70’s aesthetic, with the colorful sunset graphics topping each surface. The theme is continued throughout with custom FENDI table settings and takeaway elements, as well as decorative details for the menu’s food and beverage. The hand-sketched version of the FENDI logo inspired by Lopez’s original work for the brand appears throughout elements of the café.

The FENDI CAFFE menu includes a fusion of local and Italian favorite breakfast and lunch items, as well as beverages including a signature FF logo cappuccino served in porcelain cups decorated with FENDI’s signature Pequin striped motif.  An evening Aperitivo menu will also be offered. Sweet and savory bites will include special FF logo toast and paninis, as well as a variety of pastries and baked goods in special FENDI packaging.

Fendi Aventura Pop-up

FENDI also announced the opening from March 18 through April 20, 2022, of an exclusive pop-up in the Aventura Mall, just outside Miami, to celebrate its Women’s Spring/Summer 2022 Collection.

For the FENDI Women’s Spring/Summer 2022 Collection Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear Kim Jones revived Lopez’s work, bringing a modern perspective on disco-age glamor, and a spotlight on the diverse and powerful femininity that underscores the FENDI name.

The dedicated 576 square foot FENDI space draws from the vibrant inspiration of the collection, with Antonio Lopez’s graphics emblazoned across the exterior of the metal structure. The pop-up conceptualizes vintage billboard displays, with ‘Lopez Girls’ showcased in 3D across the structure. Neutral tones pulled from the art works create a clean palette, juxtaposed against the splashes of colorful red, oranges, and yellow hues of the collection. An all-pink fitting room for clients is also included inside the new space. The standalone pop-up store presents the FENDI Women’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection across categories, including the introduction of Ready-to-Wear to the market. A selection of the signature accessories, from the First bag and shoes to the iconic Peekaboo and Baguette bags are displayed on shelves and counters throughout the space. Through powerful mixes of colors, layers, materials, and workmanships, icon accessories are transformed into graphic artworks featuring ‘Lopez Girls’, becoming the best expression of luxury and a desirable series of collector’s items.

On Tour: Israel

In photo: Vaughn Lowery visits Israel.

While history, politics and religion are a few keywords that have become the main topic of conversation involving Israel, there’s another focus that the nation has geared up for – Israel tourism. Due to a major growth of cycling tourism in the country located in Western Asia, the government has recently invested 30 million dollars in promoting the national culture of biking.

Israel is now flowing with trails, tours and bike sharing programs, including the holiest “Biking the Path of Jesus” tours. We were recently able to grasp a taste of Israel tourism, starting off with the bike trails.

Chief mountain bike guide, Nimi Cohen, was the escort on a week-long unforgettable trek, experiencing the magic of Israel on two wheels. Originally from Israel, Cohen has been mountain biking for 20 years. Starting on the more extreme side of mountain biking in downhill and free-ride, after injury, Cohen is now a mountain and marathon racer; he is the epitome of expert.

To Cohen, life is about the Israeli single-track experience (single-track describes a narrow trail that is approximately the width of the bike). Cohen also runs a mountain biking school – named Mountain Goat, meaning to have incredible balance on the narrowest of paths – where he guides others through trips and clinics. (For more information, please visit HERE or contact Nimi Cohen directly at nimroditi@gmail.com.)

The Judean Hills, the Negev desert, Ramon Crater, the Arava Plains, and Eilat mountains.” These areas are all locations rideable 365 days a year. During the Israeli winter and spring, between October and April, they offer a great opportunity for a full-day epic ride, when the rest of the world (and the center and north of Israel) is covered in mud and snow,” explains Cohen. “Not to be afraid of trying new s**t… new stuff, but to do it moderately and slowly,” he shares some advice to new riders. He also recommends that bikers “ride in different terrains, as diverse terrains as you can get. You will become a complete and a whole rider.”

Bike Trails in Israel

Old Jaffa – Perfect for a night ride when visiting Tel Aviv. Bike riders can enjoy the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to Old Jaffa.

Galilee – These trails connect to the Holy Land and a number of religious and historical sites. Tourists can enjoy magnificent views and some technical flowing single-track riding along the Sea of Galilee.

Mount Carmel – Coastal mountain range on the Mediterranean Sea, about 24 miles long.

Ayalon National Park (Canada Park) – Located in the Judean Plain, this is a more communal and popular trail. Expect to see many others enjoying this all mountain loop.

Adulam – Kanim – Single-track located in the Tuscany of Israel. This is a seemingly endless, smooth flowing trail about 25 minutes southwest of Jerusalem.

Old City Jerusalem – Another stunning trail to ride along at night time.Sugar Route – This is a 17-mile bike trail linking Jerusalem to Jerico.

Sde Boker – The Halukim Wadi single-track, this is the center for astonishing desert biking.Ramon Crater – A panoramic ride along the cliff of these geological phenomena.

Shayarot Cliffs – Beautiful, all-mountain technical ride, near the Arava Valley.

Timna Park – Manmade single-track ride at the site of the ancient copper mines, which is now a geological park.

Eilat Beach – Once a tiny kibbutz, Eilat is currently a center for tourism and bike riding. Trails surrounded by a view of poetic red mountains and deep blue sea. Tourists can find rough desert all-mountain and downhill trails starting high up and ending at sea level.

Located near the Arava Valley, Kibbutz Samar offers the unique and ultimate experience of sleeping and biking in the desert at a spot called Samar Bike. Kibbutz is a communal settlement in Israel, typically a farm. During the visit, we met one of the creators of Samar Bike, Yair Sela. “We want to live in a place that we live as we want to live,”he comments on being a part of Kibbutz Samar.

Along the way, we also met Faran Zeira, whose parents founded Neot Semadar 25 years ago when she was only two years old. Even though she was only a young girl, Zeira (born in Jerusalem) affirms that she chose to be a part of the kibbutz.

“Kibbutz is a kind of community of people choosing to leave the city together, sharing things less than having things to own privately. This kibbutz is a bit different, the main issue here is the interest of learning… learning how to share, how to live together. Learning how not to push things aside, but how to deal with them,” says Zeira. “You chose to be here, it’s family, 150 people living here. It’s really intimate. If people don’t have an interest, they don’t stay.”

Kibbutz living may be far from the Israeli city life, but one thing is certain: both share the passion of riding. Ross Belfer, an account supervisor at WEILL – a public relations and marketing company in travel and tourism – is a Tel Aviv local, who knows where all the cool spots are. Belfer shares his insider-look into the city life, “Tel Aviv is surely a city of the ‘now,’ with new bars, restaurants, galleries and creative hangout spots popping up at rapid speeds. The best means to explore Tel Aviv is through the perspective of a local who best knows the city, whether it’d be the top spot for late night bites or simply a quiet and serene look-out point in Jaffa, secluded from and unknown by tourists.”

When in Israel, why not experience thrilling Israeli city life while on two wheels? Another huge part of Israel tourism is its constantly adapting and evolving cuisine. For first-timers, Belfer suggests checking out Eager Tourist, a hyperlocal travel concierge which arranges tailor-made experiences in Tel Aviv within the realms of art, music, nightlife, architecture, bike routes and beyond.

HUBA-HUBA CAMBODIA

By: Alexandria Baiz × Vaughn Lowery

Cameron Michael Parkes was born in Vancouver, Canada (in British Columbia). He graduated from the University of Calgary, majoring in chemical engineering with a minor in petroleum. While working at a consulting firm, the oil prices dropped and he used his severance package to travel the world.

Throughout his two year journey in Southeast Asia, he found himself at Koh Rong Samloem – a small island just off the coast of Sihanoukville, Cambodia. Two main places to stay are Saracen Bay (dense more modern filled with tourists) or Mpei Bay (rustic village area with tons of locals). After a few weeks in both places, Cameron decides to trench through the hot and sticky jungle (with snakes, wild monkeys and insects) to the most desolate yet serene part of the island, Sunset Beach. He quickly becomes acquainted with paradise and decides to plant his feet at Huba-Huba where he enjoys perfect sunsets with unobstructed sea views.

After a brief trip to Sri Lanka, he returns to Huba-Huba to discover that the owner’s husband had passed in a tragic motorcycle accident. The widow offered to sell and Cameron decided to purchase. Looking back he says, “I like the beach-jungle vibe which isn’t perfect. I love this spot. Right on the beach, beautiful bay, monkeys come around, geckos.”

Huba-Huba Cambodia

Situated at the end of the beach, it contains 4 bungalows, 1 family bungalow, 4 private double rooms and 1 dorm – 8 beds and 3 tents. Their kitchen is armed with one of the best cooks on the entire island. Their “BBQ Nights” serve up sensational samplers of pork ribs, tofu, prawns and chicken. Polite waitstaff, heavy handed mixologists and free painting station where you can repurpose instruments as well as pieces of wood to build a sculpture from scratch. Snorkeling gear is available for rental.

Sleeping Trees owned by Yves Chalot

Yves (a notable bartender from Brittany) came to Sunset Beach as a dive instructor and fell in love. One day after speaking with his bosses, he discovers a beachfront property for rent. Then he invites his brother (a carpenter) and they decided to erect ‘Sleeping Trees.’ The name derived from only having tree tents and the idea of ‘sleep in’ trees arose. The vacation area has two newly renovated bungalows, four tipis and four tree tents. Each space can accommodate up to two people. In addition, there’s a 4-room dorm which can host eight. At the present moment, both owners want to focus on better gardening and overall aesthetics of the property. Best attributes are their crepes, homemade rum shots and Reggae Night on Saturdays.

Robinson Bungalows

Sebastian Straub, former social worker in Switzerland, has now owned the property for 5 years alongside of his wife Julia. Their location is pet-friendly and includes 7 bungalows and 7 tipis. Each bungalow is constructed from wood with straw rooves perfect for a cozy and tropical stay. Their reimaginged family bungalow or ‘Cozy Kikki Lu’ is an ideal choice for guests seeking modern-like amenities. Tents make for a perfect glamping experience since they’re about thirty feet from the ocean. We enjoyed soaking up the sun in one of the 20 hammocks on the premises. Take advantage of the full bar and $1 beers during happy hour. The onsite restaurant takes advantage of seasonal local produce and fresh catches when possible. Our favorite menu items were the English breakfast, hearty fruit bowls, red snapper and barbecued pork & chicken skewer. You may enjoy meals upstairs (two-stories high) in an outdoor covered dining patio and/or at the beach bar. Every morning, a taxi boat for guests cost $10 to go to the city and is easily accessible.

Sunboo Beach Bungalows

Karlo and Parisa Zahipour Moarefi both came from Austria, borrowed money from friends and invested in Sunboo. There are 6 Bungalows and a dorm with 8 beds. The beach or garden bungalows have ceiling fans and newly renovated bathrooms and sinks. With a strong Italian influence, everyday dining is delightful. For breakfast they make french toast, pancakes, crispy bacon and homemade baguettes. For lunch fresh gnocchi, burgers and triple fried french fries. The dinner menu is westernized with our favorite thin crust pizza. And of course the Sunboo beach bar is the party area where we sip and socialize. One of the only establishments which serve wine on Sunset Beach.

Sunset Adventures Dive Shop

They offer a full array of outdoor activities on the island with two locations – Saracen Bay and Sunset Beach. We took their half-day diving class (for all levels) and their master instructors were extremely attentive. The rock climbing experience offers amazing views of the sea. Kayaking trips are a must-try with a guide to discover the wonderful island and underwater world. The most intriguing activity on the island is the nighttime plankton tour which allows one to witness and capture their bioluminescence.

Lazy Beach Resort

A private tropical hideaway on Koh Rong Samloem. The vacation area has 1 private beach, 22 bungalows and 1 guest house. The wooden bungalows all have two large double beds, en-suite bathrooms and a spacious balcony offering waters edge views of the warm tropical ocean. Paddle boarding is one of the most popular activities to do, but also board games, snorkeling and dive sites. The infamous bar is a must visit with the number one drink being the ‘Bahama Mama.’ All sorts of signature drinks like brown and white rum malibu, grenadine and juices. This private beach getaway is breathtaking.

Koh Rong Samloem Lighthouse

The most amazing experience on the island and also its highest point. We recommend you take a taxi boat to the drop-off or trail which leads up to the lighthouse. Rumored to have been an old military watch tower, the views are spectacular. Be prepared to climb at least 7 to 8 stories to the top. The smell inside the lighthouse is a tad overwhelming and rancid. Be willing to pay at least $1-3 USD for the private tour. That price does not include the taxi boat.
