One of the first to create a limited-edition lineup for Vault is Belgian Maison Delvaux, which was founded in 1829 making it the oldest luxury fine leather goods brand in the world. 

Forever in flux and staying true to its constant pursuit of ideas that go beyond the confines of time and space, Vault will continue to present monthly drops of rare vintage finds, as well as a regular rotation of exclusive capsules, special collaborations, and new brands. The latest releases will be highlighted on its dedicated Instagram account, @guccivault, and its Discord server, GucciVault.

A crystal ball heralds its arrival. Mysterious and fascinating, the magical globe is the gift the digital avatar of Alessandro Michele, Gucci’s Creative Director, offers Wagmi-san, world-renowned digital artisan who has invited the designer — already on a journey towards new paradigms and forms of creativity– to his virtual shop in New Tokyo.

We cannot resist using the lexicon of fairy tales to describe 10KTF Gucci Grail, the new initiative happening in Vault’s experimental space. In collaboration with digital accessory shop 10KTF, Gucci has created ad hoc digital outfits designed by Alessandro Michele and created by Wagmi-san to dress PFPs from eleven selected NFT collections including Bored Ape, World of Women, Cool Cats and many others. The “PFP” acronym stands for ‘Picture For Proof’, a NFT version of a profile photo, used by collectors both as their portrait and as extreme expressions of artistic and technological talent. The encounter between Wagmi-san and Alessandro Michele generates two custom Gucci looks, available in different colors, inspired respectively by the Aria and Love Parade collections, for those who aspire to express their individuality through fashion in the parallel digital worlds.

The House is already present in the realm of NFTs, the ‘Non-Fungible Tokens’ that have transformed our experience of art, sublimating it into immaterial digital works. Acquiring personalized virtual garments also involves several steps, not unlike the actual process of securing a designer creation (which requires several fittings).

Over the past few days, the crystal ball has been accessible to three groups of people – those who already own a PFP; those who are members of the Gucci Vault community on the Discord server, and those who already ‘inhabit’ New Tokyo, where artisan Wagmi-san lives. Those who redeemed their crystal ball were able to choose between the different Gucci looks artfully tailored by Wagmi-san and receive their customized digital avatar.

With only a limited number of users involved, this project has the feel of a unique work: “10KTF Gucci Grail” not only highlights the individuality of each person, but it also unveils the huge, spectacular potential of virtual realities, enabling us to design a digital identity in an alternative world. To be dressed for the metaverse is to have another self that Vault allows us to generate through the codes of Gucci.

How Jumanji Made Comeback After Twelve Years and Is Still Loved

Everyone who grew up during the 90s is well acquainted with Jumanji’s story, about the boy who was dragged into the board game of the same name. The movie was a huge success and guaranteed its place in pop culture. The storyline didn’t really call for a sequel, so how was The Rock’s sequel so successful? 

Welcome to the Jungle

Millennials are more prone to nostalgia than other generations. Surely, the entertainment industry is well-aware of it. It’s not a coincidence that so many titles from the 90s are making their way back to the big screens. Star Wars and Jurassic World are a few examples. 

Still, there are other ways to cater to this sentiment. The gaming industry has turned nostalgia into a profitable business. The “wild” adventure has also gained versions for PS4, and even slots games, which can be found at the best WV online casinos. The haunted game board used in the original movie was sold for $87,500.

So, even if uncalled for, Jumanji’s sequel, “Welcome to the Jungle,” was a pleasant and welcomed surprise. Yet, nostalgia isn’t the movie’s only attractive feature. The story was finely updated to our days. A character from the 1996 movie was dragged into the game. This character comes back to our days, using slang and pop culture references from that time. Other updates about technology and video games are also sure to score some laughs.

Nostalgia in Hollywood

Millennials are indeed easy prey for nostalgia baits, but the trick isn’t new in Hollywood. We can go back to 1939, when the first Wizard of Oz hit the big screens, based on a book from 1900. The same goes for Tom Sawyer: a movie released in 1930, based on a book from 1876. Nowadays, the sentiment can be summoned by the industry in different ways, not only referencing books. 

Break Points

The director, Jake Kasdan, invested in a very charismatic cast, as did the original movie. Dwayne Johnson comes in place of the sorely missed Robin Williams, followed by Jack Black, Karen Gillian, and Kevin Hart. It looks like a comedy cast, and indeed there are some hilarious moments, but it’s still an adventure movie. Does it follow a direct line from the original, then? Not quite.

The movie begins one year after the story has ended, in 1996. A teenager Alex Vreeke plays Jumanji on a Playstation-like video game. Then the storyline jumps 20 years, straight into 2016. The board’s magical powers were somehow transported to a video game, where the main actors are avatars. Dwayne Johnson is Spencer’s avatar, while Jack Black plays Bethany. Kevin Hart represents Fridge in the game, while Karen Gillian plays Martha. 

Although he looks completely different now, Bobby Cannavale, a veteran from the 1996 cast, still plays the villain John Hardin Van Pelt. Jack Black is the avatar of Professor Sheldon Oberon. However, his avatar is played by a teenage girl, who Black recreated to perfection, with voice, facial expressions, etc. 

Game Over

Those expecting to be kicked back to their childhood days won’t be disappointed. Nor will those looking for something more original than a simple reboot. It keeps more than enough references to transport the audience back to the 90s but never lifting a foot from the present. The substitution of a board game by a video game was obvious but added a completely different dynamic to the movie. 

Less obvious and quite entertaining, though, is the personality clash between the avatars and their players. Dwayne Johnson plays a shy and nervous teenage boy. Jack Black really looks like the most popular girl at school trapped in an oversized middle-aged man. Kevin Hart plays an over-excited boy, while the nerdy and not-sportive Martha gives life to a Lara Croft-like Ruby Roundhouse. “Welcome to the Jungle” is notalgia bait done right.

Eight Tips for Safe Travel as the World Begins to Open Back Up

It’s a scary time to travel. Despite getting less media attention with each passing day, the pandemic still affects your health while on the road. Now, increased international tensions and conflict make leaving your comfort zone even more problematic. What happens if you get stranded abroad?

While you can’t avoid every snafu, there’s plenty that you can proactively do to safeguard your health and mental well-being on the road. Thinking ahead can make all the difference! Here are eight tips for safe travel as the world opens back up.

1. Have a Contingency Plan

If you’re planning to leave the country, appoint a check-in person stateside whom you touch base with at scheduled intervals. If something should happen, they’ll know to contact the correct authorities and set things in motion to find you and return you to safety.

Given the current state of the pandemic, you might have valid fears about what could happen if you got sick while overseas. Before you depart, make plans for medical repatriation if you don’t want to be treated in a hospital abroad. Such services arrange first-class travel back to your home country, ensuring your comfort and putting your mind at ease.

2. Mask Up

The Travel Security Administration (TSA) extended mask rules to March 18, 2022, but it’s impossible to say what rules will stay and go once that deadline passes. 5. Stick With Handshake Alternatives

During the pandemic’s early days, elbow and fist bumps replaced handshakes. It’s still wise to avoid this common courtesy and stick to an alternative whenever possible.

7. Maintain a Healthy Diet

Your diet can go far in keeping you healthy. You generally want to look for healthy whole foods, not overly processed versions. Leafy greens, nuts and fruits are all excellent for your health, and can give you a good immune boost in many cases. However, you might want to up your vitamin intake if you’re traveling to a developing country where eating raw local produce is questionable.

For example, vitamin C and zinc can make your cold shorter and less miserable. However, you need both in your body when symptoms develop, or they won’t do much good. If you can’t stick to a healthy, whole foods diet while away, consider stashing a multivitamin and mineral supplement in your carry-on and start taking it a week or so before you depart.

8. Stay Fit on the Road

Fitness also decreases your chances of getting sick. Exercise raises your core temperature, killing germs, and your increased respiration rate can help clear them from your airways before they can even set up shop.

“Being on tour has reconnected me with my fans and the energy they give me during each show in every city we visit is incredible” the artist said. “I’m hoping that by hosting guests in my truck I can give them a chance to feel like they’re on tour with me. This truck has played such a big role in the concept of my tour and my last album that I want to share this unique experience with them.”

The West Coast Customs-designed rig with chrome flames, customized grill and lights, and all leather interiors is inspired by the influential role that trucks have played in Bad Bunny‘s musical success, even appearing on his latest album cover and taking center stage during the opening sequence of his set on tour.

The trailer will offer a glimpse inside the artist’s deeply personal space, with inspiration drawn from some of his most popular music videos including a bedroom decked out in florals like “YO PERREO SOLA,” and other spaces with nods to “LA NOCHE DE ANOCHE,” and “SI VEO A TU MAMA.”

Bad Bunny will open the doors to his big rig for three individual one-night stays occurring on April 6, April 7 and April 8 for two guests each at only $91 a night—a nod to his record-breaking 9.1 billion Spotify streams in 2021.  2021 release of “One Day,” marked the group’s third Top 40 single — and as Forbes reports, makes Monsta X only the second K-pop group in history to appear on the chart more than once. Access Hollywood wrote, “Monsta X is back at it with another stunning single,” while PAPER Magazine praised the “heartfelt, soaring ballad, the kind that they do so well,” calling the track “an auspicious introduction to the next chapter in the storied K-pop band’s history.” Teen Vogue said, “With a mid-tempo beat and good vibes all around, ‘One Day’ makes us excited for what Monsta X has coming up next.”

Named by Grammy.com as “one of K-pop’s most prolific groups,” Monsta X’s 12/10 album, The Dreaming, is a continuation of their first all English-language debut album, ALL ABOUT LUV. Released in February 2020, that album ranked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 Chart, making Monsta X only the 3rd K-Pop group to chart within the top 10, and was one of the first-ever full English-language pop albums from Korea.

Tesla spends more on research and development (R&D) than any other automaker.  According to data presented by StockApps, the firm spends $2,984 on R&D per car produced. That’s thrice the industry average and higher than the collective R&D budgets of Ford, General Motors (GM), and Chrysler per car.

Commenting on the report, StockApp’s Edith Reads had this to say.” Tesla spends more than any other carmaker on R&D in order to maintain its lead in EV technology. And if you ask them about it, they’ll tell you this is the key to keeping their customers happy—which is what keeps them in business.”

Tesla’s investment in R&D is paying off

Its vehicles are not only making strides in environmentalism, they’re also safe, fast, and excellent at technology integration. Elon Musk‘s commitment to spending time developing new products and services is what makes Tesla successful.

Tesla is famous for its ambitious production goals. So if anyone is going to invest in making those dreams a reality, it’s them. And you can see why: while most carmakers focus on marketing themselves as a brand first and foremost, Tesla is focusing on making every car a piece of innovative engineering.

No Advertising Spending

Further, Tesla’s spending proves they are future-focused, unlike other manufacturers. While Tesla spends $0 on advertising per car, the industry average is $485. This further illustrates that consumers want to buy vehicles for their functionality and rely on testimonials for brand awareness rather than beautifully crafted commercials.

The company’s lack of an advertising budget is even more impressive than its R&D spending. Tesla’s unique business model becomes clear when we consider what its competition spends per vehicle on advertising. Ford and Toyota spend $468 and $454 per car respectively. 

Despite not spending anything on advertising, Tesla is technically a marketing magnet. That’s why it is one of the world’s fastest-growing brands. The firm dominates the press and social media engagements. Most of that comes from widely popular Elon Musk.
