Sam Thompkins – who do you pray to?

One of the fastest rising British male artists of 2022, Sam Tompkins releases the who do you pray to? EP alongside emotive visuals for new single “My Brother” via Republic Records.

With a host of stellar singles already released from the EP; including “Whole,” “Bloodline” and “Hero;” Sam honed his craft across the collection of 7 tracks revealing his unique voice as a songwriter instilled in the narrative arc of his songs.

New single “My Brother” encapsulates his intimate story telling style, as Sam notes; “‘My Brother’ is really special to me. I love it so much. The origin of it is actually a sad but lovely story. When I was about 18, we lost our Nana and at the funeral we had to read the eulogy. I got about 6 words in before being in floods of tears, my brother read the rest and was so strong. Flash forward to last year when my Papa (Grandpa) passed away and I decided to do the eulogy. Sadly because of covid my brother couldn’t make it as he was working away in Canada. This time I got the whole way through it and I remember getting the text from my brother who watched it through a live stream that I smashed it and I felt so proud because the only way I was able to do it was knowing I was the exact age my brother had stepped up and been brave 5 years prior.”

Sam Tompkins is a force to be reckoned with; following his own critically acclaimed singles, the TikTok trending collaboration with Jnr Choi “To The Moon;” a string of viral videos including impressive covers shared via TikTok and grass-roots touring; he has garnered over 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify and amassed a colossal online audience which has grown exponentially over the past year.

The release of this debut body of work is set to cement Sam‘s status as one of the year’s most exciting new artists. His music has already been praised by the likes of MTV, Clash, BBC, and Notion; played across BBC Radio 1 and featured on flagship Spotify editorial playlists.

Matching pop touches to a classic feel, he’s often compared to Sam Fender‘s anthemic truth-seeking or Tom Walker‘s revelatory autobiography. Yet Sam’s work stands alone and is already scaling mountainous heights. His music digs deep, explores the key topics in his life and communicates emotions we all feel, but sometimes can’t put into words.

Elton John and Shawn Mendes are fans, pop phenomenon Bebe Rexha has co-signed his work, while Justin Bieber is a prominent supporter. The two recently hung out in LA, while a video of Justin singing Sam’s single ‘Whole’ has gained more than 2 million views–and counting. Closer to home, JayKae jumped onstage on Sam’s last tour, and renowned UK artists Krept & Konan, Chip and Clean Bandit are fans.

Such a broad spread of support simply represents his audience as a whole; there’s a literal army of TikTok followers moving alongside him, with Sam amassing almost a half million followers on Instagram–more than some very established artists. In fact, he already has more Instagram followers than some winners at the BRITs last year.

Selling out every venue he puts his name against, Sam’s live prowess stretches across Europe. Next month, Sam will be one of the first UK artists to tour Europe in a bus since the pandemic hit as he heads out on a mammoth European tour, containing a packed out Kentish Town Forum date on April 8th.

From his humble beginnings busking on the streets of Brighton, EP who do you pray to? is set to continue Sam’s momentum and rise on the international pop stage.

Rosalía – CANDY

To celebrate the arrival of MOTOMAMI, Rosalía treats fans to another eye-popping visual with the music video for “CANDY.” Watch the video which features Rosalía partaking in her favorite pastime of karaoke HERE.

Rosalía launched a once-in-a-lifetime immersive experience on TikTok LIVE. Drawing a massive audience well over a million viewers, she performed 14 tracks from the record during a mind-blowing show, giving each song its own distinct feel and visual. The event was personally conceptualized and created by Rosalía, directed by Stillz, and produced by CANADA with all the footage impressively filmed exclusively on mobile phones.

About Rosalía

Rosalía is a Grammy & Eight-Time Latin Grammy Winner who has quickly “leapt to the forefront of the global pop landscape” on the strength of her innovative musical fusions and distinctive style. She has repeatedly shattered barriers for both female and Spanish language artists, while being widely hailed as: “a complicated genius… reflecting femininity and strength… a new generation leader… making Flamenco a global phenomenon… while becoming Earth’s Most Exciting Pop Star.” With the May 2018 release of her innovative breakthrough single “Malamente (Cap.1: Augurio)” and the fall arrival of her landmark album El Mal Querer, fans worldwide quickly embraced Rosalía’s phenomenal vocal capability meshed with her now fully realized fusion of classic Flamenco and other timeless music styles of Spain, with R&B, hip-hop, contemporary Latin-American rhythms and electronic beats. Coupled with Rosalía’s strong influences from industrial visual arts, female empowerment, fashion and choreography, it became clear to critics that: “El Mal Querer is a boundary-breaking modern masterpiece… that has resonated like a shockwave… it stands out from virtually everything else on the global pop landscape.” As a result of the album’s long-running impact, and additional 2019 singles that followed, Rosalía garnered a GRAMMY Award, standout GRAMMY performance, the historic first-ever Best New Artist Grammy nomination for a Spanish Language artist, and eight Latin Grammys, including Album of the Year. Additional acclaim has included 2 MTV VMA‘s, multiple magazine covers-including the annual Sunday New York Times Magazine‘s special Culture Cover, highly praised Coachella and Lollapalooza festival appearances, the most watched global YouTube video of 2019 for a female artist, and “Best Music of the Decade” picks from Rolling Stone, Billboard, GQ, The LA Times, Pitchfork and more. While Rosalía has spent a large majority of time immersed in the creative process of writing and recording her eagerly-awaited next album, she also finalized landmark brand partnerships with Nike and MAC‘s “Viva Glam” campaign, lead the field of LATIN GRAMMY winners for the second year in a row became the first-ever all-Spanish language music artist to grace the cover of VOGUE in the United States (with the January 2021 “Vogue Values” issue, photographed by Annie Leibovitz), and joined Travis Scott, Bad Bunny, the Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Arca, Tokisha and more on massive streaming collaborative tracks. She now begins her next creative chapter with the music of MOTOMAMI.

Capella Grey × Nija – Confujawn

Bronx R&B sensation Capella Grey returns with a captivating new single called “Confujawn.” The intoxicating R&B anthem features breakout artist Nija, who showcases her trademark sultry vocals. Grey, who previously bent the ears of fans around the world with the player’s anthem “Gyalis,” shows a more introspective, vulnerable side on “Confujawn.” Listen HERE and watch a stylish, yet intimate video HERE.

The rich melodies and sensual vocals of “Confujawn” prove Grey has songs for everyone. If “Gyalis” was a take-no-prisoners club anthem, “Confujawn” finds the rising star showing a mature approach to a rocky relationship. “Like what we doing, no more games,” Grey croons over a plucky guitar line and boom-bap drums. “We’re getting older, I told you no more looking over my shoulder.” The track’s video opens with a frank conversation between Grey and Nija about the way they relate to one another. They eventually decide to make the most of a long night out in Los Angeles, which is captured in moody, stylish lighting while they trade verses.

Each of the artists has been on the rise over the past few years. Nija has proven herself an accomplished songwriter and an emotionally-affecting singer nominated for three Grammy’s. Since kicking off her career in 2017, she’s written for Cardi B, Summer Walker, and most recently Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa‘s new single “Sweetest Pie.” Now at 24, she’s come into her own as a solo artist with her acclaimed debut EP, January’s Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You.

Grey, for his part, has created a fresh yet nostalgic R&B sound that invites listeners across generations. With the runaway success surrounding “Gyalis,” over 300 million combined streams, No. 1 at Urban Radio, No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100, it would be an obvious move to double down on that formula. However, Grey isn’t your typical artist. With “Confujawn,” he has created a song as instantly catchy as “Gyalis,” but from a completely different angle.

Though he’s newly signed to Capitol, the New Yorker has been establishing himself as a singer, songwriter, and star the past few years. With “Gyalis” and “Confujawn,” those days of relentless grind as a cab driver are starting to feel like a distant memory. Grey hit No. 2 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart, scored BET‘s Amplified Artist of the Month in December, and also made it onto Billboard’s 15 Hip-Hop and R&B Artists to Watch in 2022 list. Success isn’t easy to come by, but now that Grey is here, he’s showcasing the many ways he can craft a winning single while working on his debut project set to release soon.

Normani inside 360 MAGAZINE for her fair song

Normani – Fair

Multi-platinum selling, chart topping recording artist Normani returns with the highly anticipated new single, “Fair”. On the HARV-produced track, bass pulsates like a heartbeat between soft keys as her voice echoes with raw feeling. Volleying between high register harmonies and an emotionally charged refrain, she gets confessional on the chorus, “Is it fair that you moved on, ’cause I swear that I haven’t.” “Fair” was co-written by Normani, Abby Keen, Bernard “HARV” Harvey and Felisha King Harvey.

Speaking about the new song, Normani reveals, “This song really captures me in one of my most vulnerable moments. Sharing this record makes me uncomfortable because you have never really seen me in this light. Definitely aware that you might feel like you don’t know much about me but that’s only because it’s what makes me feel protected. I am really forcing myself to let go here. This is huge for me and hopefully this piece of art resonates. Love is beautiful yet so so terrifying. I adore you guys to the moon and back.”

NIA AMBER – D.A.

Hip-Hop legend Trina’s protégé, Nia Amber, dropped highly anticipated single “D.A.” alongside a sensual music video while teasing her upcoming EP set to release this summer.

“’D.A.’ was inspired by a personal experience with a romantic situation that was complicated in my life at the time. I wanted to create a song that was sexy and sultry but at the same time has a direct message. I love this record, it has great balance,”  Nia told Wonderland. “The song is seductive but there are a few climatic spots in the song where listeners will bop their heads.”

Nia began her work with Trina years ago, being signed to the label in 2018. “I saw the potential in Nia years ago. I was excited about her, so I invited her to my studio session,” Trina told Wonderland. “She sang for me and I knew then and there I had to sign her. I said, if you are ready to put in the work, we can get to work. And we began our journey together. I’ve been really developing her over the years and I’m excited for what is to come for her this year.”

Nia is actively working on music to drop this year, in her own words, “you can expect BOPS.” She will release an EP this summer that will be about six songs with some dope features.

MORE ABOUT NIA AMBER:

From sharing the same stage with household names Doja CatSweetie, and Megan Thee Stallion, Nia Amber knows how to grasp everyone’s attention with her effortless feel-good vibe. Befitting in all ways – the name Nia means purpose, and she is very clear on hers. The dazzling songstress has not always had the undeniable confidence she now exudes. Hailing from Miami, Florida, the daughter of Bahamian parents once struggled with accepting her dark skin because she was teased for it. Because of this, she vowed to make it her mission to reassure anyone struggling with similar insecurities to know that they are beautiful just the way God made them. Her brand and the music that she makes centers around encouraging fans to love and accept themselves for who they are, just the way they were created. Nia has a strong passion and love for children and plans to one day start her own foundation that will be geared towards inspiring and empowering youth. This foundation will provide a platform that fosters self-love and confidence for all youth across the globe.

Growing up as a young star surrounded by arts, Nia’s mom was the first person to discover her musical gift. At the age of seven, Nia spent countless nights singing in the kitchen as she always tried to mimic the musical notes sung by her mother. Because of her deep love for music, she took chorus in elementary school and summer camp.

Before starting her journey as a solo artist, the R&B singer, songwriter, and classically trained dancer was one of five members of the girl group Amity Love. Under the guidance of Ms. Anita, Nia had a chance to build her experience as a diverse artist as she always had to strive to harmonize with four other girls. A natural stand-out, this was never easy for her, but she cherished the lessons of teamwork, determination, and compromise that came with the experience…and years later, these same attributes are what she leans on to cope with the bold music industry as a solo artist now.

In 2018, Nia Amber signed to Rockstarr Music Group, a label owned and managed by American rapper, songwriter, and actress Katrina Laverne Taylor “Trina.” She released her first single, “No More” in February 2019 and also had the privilege of being featured on the song “Redemption” by Trina and Ball Greezy. Nia released her latest single, “Swing My Way,” in August 2020, and since then, the song has captured over 100K streams across all major music streaming platforms. Producer/writer Arlon had his best work on this single as Nia set out to make a song that would make people dance and feel good.

With the promotion from her music label, Nia Amber has had an opportunity to share the same stage with renowned artists such as; Doja Cat, Big Latto, Saweetie, Lil Kim, Megan Thee Stallion, K. Michelle and many more. She has performed as a backup dancer and model for Brianna Perry’s Slow Dance, Back Der, One Dance, Cars and Them Other Bitches music videos. She was also a lead model in the Heart Break video featuring Fat Joe, The Dream and Remy Ma. For an artist from Miami, this was a significant opportunity for her promising career and has catapulted her to the forefront as a “big league” player, setting the stage for a widely successful year to come.

Her passion and love for music is driven by her purpose to uplift others, and with her infectious themes of self-love and acceptance, she is sure to succeed. Follow Nia Amber on her journey to success: InstagramTikTokTwitter and YouTube.

Ways to Remain Connected With Your Co-workers When Working Remotely

Long periods of isolation can be emotionally draining. Working remotely does not help either, seeing that there are limited in-person interactions. Here are several practices you can adopt to maintain a sense of connection with your co-workers.

Create Opportunities for Spontaneous Connection

The micro-interactions in the office environments, such as afternoon chats, contribute to your overall happiness. Studies show that this type of social connection is essential for employees’ well-being. Since it’s impossible to have such interactions whilst working from home, you can enhance similar connections via video calls. Zoom and Microsoft Teams are great tools for work-related calls. However, you can plan for short meetings during the week meant for informal conversation.

It is advisable to set a recurring 15-30 minutes meeting that you can label as ‘chit chat’ or ‘coffee break.’ This will help relieve the pressure of feeling that you have to talk about something business-related. Additionally, you can make them optional to ensure they are intentional and more toned down.

Utilize Non-Video Options for Involvement

While video conferencing has helped co-workers stay connected, constant use can lead to zoom fatigue. The overwhelming screen time for workplaces, schools, and social engagement can feel overwhelming. This is why it is crucial to find a balance and incorporate non-video options for interactions. For example, you can schedule a phone call instead of a video chat and, where possible, have a one-on-one check-in.

Engage in Fun Activities Online

Office setups often have team-building activities, including physical activities such as games and competitions. Ideally, these activities are great for socializing, and they contribute to increased productivity among staff. With virtual workspaces, this may be challenging, but there are some fun activities that co-workers can engage in online. Several options to consider include online cooking competitions, coffee classes, and mixology workshops. There are also tons of online team-building games that offer just as much opportunity for fun.

Online games such as scavenger hunt are excellent for group play and are becoming increasingly popular for South African firms. Yet, if you would rather play with maybe one or two co-workers, you can consider simple but fun casino games. Deal or no deal, live poker, or monopoly are excellent options. Luckily for South African players, most casinos offer online casino bonuses, giving you additional funds to play with. These bonuses include free spins, matched bonuses, and no deposit bonuses. There are several guides on how to claim these offers, including the related terms and conditions.

Find a Productivity Accountability Person

Working from home presents a lot of distractions, and it is hard to remain focused. To help complete your targets, you can team up with a co-worker and implement the Pomodoro Technique. With this productivity method, you work for 25 minutes and then have a 5-minute break. After the first three sections, you get a longer break of 15-30 minutes. This working strategy allows you to take guity-free time. Also, when working with a friend, you get some time to catch up during the break.

Be A Cheerleader to Your Fellow Team Members

It is harder to remember to take time to celebrate your co-worker’s achievements when you don’t meet physically. It is believed that 79% of employees who quit their jobs cite lack of appreciation by the company as the main reason. Therefore, it is critical to practice gratitude even when working remotely. Sharing and celebrating every milestone achieved keeps the employees motivated.

Set Out ‘Get to Know You’ Events for New Staff

New workers in a virtual setup can find it hard to interact with existing workers. The company’s management has to get creative in introducing them to the rest of the team. Although they will interact via project meetings, it might not be enough time to get to know each other.

A creative way to facilitate a ‘get to know you’ event would be using communication programs designed to pair colleagues randomly. Predetermined prompts and questions to guide their conversation could come in handy. Allocating such time will help news staff feel settled and connected with their co-workers.

We hope you found our tips useful in becoming more productive when working remotely.

Yayo Da Cartune – Make It Rain

Yayo Da Cartune releases a one-of-a-kind virtual reality music video for “Make it Rain”. The video is an immersive 360 experience, meaning if a viewer watches with virtual reality goggles, they can view the video as if they were physically interacting inside of the world. Instead of being an outside listener to the melodic yet pulsating track, fans can experience from within, bringing a whole new meaning to interactive listening. Watch the video HERE.

“Make it Rain” by Yayo Da Cartune (Cinematic Music Group/Geffen) is available at all digital retailers HERE.

Yayo‘s songs together tell a distinct story of loss, loyalty, pain and turmoil; all aspects of the grave conditions he grew up in. His soundtrack for the struggle lays bare his emotions and exposes a side of him he previously kept to himself. Raised as one of six children, Yayo’s been surrounded by music since he was a kid. Growing up, he and his siblings would use blank cassette tapes to record Lil Wayne tracks from the radio, and his young single mother would play songs from artists like Dru Hill, Ginuwine, Tyrese, and Usher.

By the age of 13, he’d been arrested, beginning a streak of jail stints that would stretch for over a decade. While time behind bars kept him away from friends and family, it brought him closer to music. Shy by nature, he entered jail singing competitions to help pull him out of his shell. After being released in 2016, Yayo dove in, using his skill as a tattoo artist to provide a source of income and keep him out of trouble. At first, Yayo released raucous, free-associative freestyles, but as he listened to Drake, Future and T-Pain, his sound evolved into something more melodic and emotionally charged. After years of releasing music and working as a well-respected tattoo artist, he started picking up momentum toward the end of 2020, releasing songs like “Live to Die” and previewing other tracks on Instagram. Months and hundreds of thousands of IG post views later, he secured a deal with Jonny Shipes and Cinematic Music Group.
