Eddie Vedder Newest Single From Earthling

Eddie Vedder releases a new single entitled “Brother the Cloud.” It heralds the arrival of his highly anticipated new album, Earthling, available on February 11th via Seattle Surf/Republic Records. The digital/cd/vinyl/cassette pre-order for Earthling just went live on all streaming platforms here.

Listen to “Brother the Cloud”

Earthling, which was produced by Grammy Award® winning producer Andrew Watt, is Vedder’s first album since 2011’s Ukulele Songs and his first solo tour in over a decade.

The track is the latest single off the new album and joins previously released tracks: “Long Way,” which Variety noted, the strident, guitar-driven “Long Way” finds Vedder narrating a tale of a man haunted by a lost love,” and “The Haves” which Stereogum described “a searching heart ballad about personal connection, and it addresses the increasing divide between rich and poor.”

Earthling illuminates every side of Vedder and includes collaborations with some of music’s most iconic legends including Stevie Wonder, Ringo Starr, Elton John, as well as Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, and Josh Klinghoffer.

In order to bring the album to life on stage, Eddie Vedder and bandmates the Earthlings will hit the road in a series of U.S. concert dates in February for The Earthlings Tour 2022. The shows kick off on February 3 in New York and wrap up on February 22 in Vedder’s hometown of Seattle. Special guest Glen Hansard will open the shows. See full tour dates below.

The Earthlings are drummer Chad Smith, keyboardist/guitarist/vocalist Josh Klinghoffer, bassist Chris Chaney, guitarist/vocalist Glen Hansard, and guitarist Andrew Watt. The newly formed group gave their live debut at Vedder’s own Ohana Festival this past September.

About Eddie Vedder

Eddie Vedder has served as Pearl Jam’s frontman, in addition to a guitarist and primary lyricist, since 1990. Inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017 as a member of Pearl Jam, Vedder’s trademark vocal style inspired a generation. His energetic and unvarnished stage presence coupled with his honest conversations with the audience led Pearl Jam as pioneers in live performances and social justice.

Vedder’s signature ethos carries into his solo work. His first project came out in 2007 with the soundtrack album for the film Into the Wild and earned him a Golden Globe for the song “Guaranteed.” In 2012, Vedder’s sophomore solo album, Ukulele Songs, received a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album. Most recently, he collaborated with Glen Hansard for the Flag Day Original Motion Picture soundtrack and has released tracks off his forthcoming solo album Earthling.

Eddie Vedder was born in Evanston, Ill., on December 23, 1964 where he became a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan before moving with his family to San Diego County in the mid-1970s. It was in southern California that Vedder began to play guitar and learned to surf.

In 1990, Vedder received a tape of a band from Seattle that needed a singer. Vedder wrote lyrics for three of the songs, mailed it back to Seattle, and the songs ultimately became the Pearl Jam songs “Alive”, “Footsteps” and “Once”. Vedder moved north and was recruited by Ament, Gossard and McCready to join their new band, known then as Mookie Blaylock before becoming Pearl Jam.

Vedder’s lyrics address many of the key issues of our times including gun violence, racism, and climate change. In addition to the activism inherent to the music, Vedder is an outspoken advocate for several progressive, social, and political causes, most notably abortion access and the environment. A longtime supporter of Surfrider Foundation, Vedder has most recently been vocal in banning offshore drilling along the US coast.

“Though some may think there should be a separation between art, music and politics, it should be reinforced that art can be a form of nonviolent protest,” Vedder says.

In addition to his activism, Vedder and his wife Jill McCormick Vedder co-founded the EB Research Partnership, dedicated to finding a cure for epidermolysis bullosa, a family of rare genetic disorders that affects the skin. The Vedder family is active in supporting both the work of the organization and the children who are impacted by the disorder.

Vedder and his wife reside in Seattle with their two daughters.

YLONA GARCIA RELEASES NEW TRACK

“[Ylona Garcia is] an international superstar in the making.” — Flaunt Magazine

Today, 19 year old Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Ylona Garcia has released an absolute banger of a song called “Entertain Me via PARADISE.

Much like her 2021 single “All That,” “Entertain Me” is a straight up female empowerment anthem and destined for club greatness.

Produced by DNA and co-written by DNA and Ylona herself, the song finds the Australian-born Filipino artist asserting her independence and dispelling the notion that she can be fooled and controlled by anyone.

Coinciding with the single’s release is the launch of a new playable character in Riot Games wildly-popular video game, Valorant. The new character named Neon, who has been described as hailing from Manila in teasers, speaks Tagalog language, and is described as one of the youngest agents “who can outpace the rest of the roster, shocking the competition, and sliding straight into the fight.” Indeed, the launch of the character Neon perfectly compliments the empowered persona Ylona exudes in “Entertain Me.”

At only 19 years old, Ylona Garcia has set her sights on the global landscape in the next stage of her creative journey. With multiple song releases under her belt already, in addition to appearing on two of the biggest reality/talent contests shows in the Philippines, Ylona Garcia has become one of the fastest-rising, most prominent young voices in the Filipino music community. She currently has over 4.1 million Followers on Instagram and nearly 1 million followers on TikTok in addition to over 265,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and 170,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.

Ylona Garcia’s music is released by 88rising’s sister label PARADISE RISING, which was launched in 2020 to help bring Filipino music to the forefront of culture.

Nine Tips to Make Sure You’ll Have a Successful Business Trip to Dallas

When your boss tells you that you’re going to Dallas for a business trip, whether it’s for work or pleasure, the first thing on your mind is probably “What should I pack?” and “How long will I be there?”  But before you even think about what to bring, there are some things you need to make sure of first.

How to Plan a Successful Business Trip to Dallas

1. Book early.

Before you get on the plane to Dallas it’s important that you book your hotel room and transportation to/from the airport. This way, when you land in Dallas all of your primary concerns will be taken care of.

There are some exceptions where booking early doesn’t work out-like if you’re going for a big conference or eating at popular destination restaurants-but don’t assume that there won’t be availability. Just use common sense and make sure that everything’s booked before you get there.

2. Have a place to stay once you get to the airport.

There are lots of cheap hotels near the Dallas Fort Worth Airport that you can book when you get to the airport. You don’t want this to be a last-minute decision because then it’s much harder to have everything in one place.

3. Have a hotel room near the business area if you’re going for work.

If your work is located around the business district, choose a hotel room near your work so you won’t have too far to travel in between meetings or after dinner events. This may mean staying in an area further from nightlife but if clubs and bars are what you’re looking for, there are plenty of them all over DFW anyway.

4. Find a suitable hotel that isn’t expensive but still offers a clean and quiet environment.

If you’re going for work, then the last thing you want to do is spend too much on a hotel. It’s important that your company pays for it but if they don’t pay enough and you have extra money, find a suitable hotel in the $100-$200/night range so you can relax after work and also get some sleep before heading back at it early the next morning. Make sure there aren’t too many noisy people near your room during the night as well.

5. Book a DFW airport car rental.

When it comes down to it, the most important thing is enjoying yourself when you have time off from work. This means getting around Dallas in the easiest way possible.

If you haven’t driven before in this city, then consider getting a reliable dfw car rental service. It’ll be cheaper than taking an expensive cab and much more useful than relying on public transportation.

6. Make sure your hotel is close to some of the big attractions.

Depending on how long your business trip lasts, be sure to enjoy some of the awesome attractions around Dallas so you don’t feel like you’ve wasted your time in Texas. Have a rental car that will give you the freedom to get around the city easily. Dallas according to Travel + Leisure, is known for sports locations and art galleries.

7. Prepare for the unknown.

When going on a business trip, you never know what kind of issues may arise so have a backup plan in case something comes up. Bring essentials with you like a toothbrush and a change of clothes in your carry-on bag in case you get stranded somewhere overnight.

8. Have a great dinner somewhere.

Sometimes during business trips, it’s hard for everyone to agree on where to eat dinner since all sorts of different types of people are included in that group who may have different tastes when it comes to food. Ensure that you have a great dinner that everyone can enjoy so you can get back to doing whatever’s most important for your trip. The Food Network has a list of 20 restaurants to try in Dallas.

9. Get a good night’s sleep.

Your last day should be spent relaxing at your hotel or seeing any sights that are still left on your “to see” list amidst all the running around during business hours. Make sure you get a good night’s sleep since that’ll be necessary for your trip back home.

Business Trips to Dallas Don’t Have to Be So Hard

Your business trips to Dallas don’t have to be so hard if you plan ahead of time! That’s why it’s important to check out some places around the Dallas Fort Worth airport before you arrive so you can really take advantage of everything the city has to offer.

Dallas, Texas is known as “The Big D” because of the big buildings, big area attractions and big fun that you’ll have during your visit. Just make sure you know how to get around Dallas before visiting so the entire trip can go smoothly.

New Track By Glasses Malone

Watts rapper Glasses Malone recruits Los Angeles sibling duo L.A. Giantz and iconic West Coast rapper Suga Free for an unapologetic Gangster Rap track “Kanye Should’ve Never Married (That B*tch)” via his own independent label Division Movie Company. Over the hard-hitting West Coast production by Ervin “EP” Pope, the four rappers lay into the trappings of toxic female sexuality.

“It’s time to confront the toxic femininity sweeping through Hip-Hop. Women have been poisoned by false idols who themselves have been stricken by tons of insecurities. Enough is enough. Someone has to stand up against it! Why not us? We had to do it, cuh. It had to be the Loc,” explains Glasses.

On Saturday, April 30 fans can watch Glasses Malone perform live at 93.5 KDAY Krush Groove event happening at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA. Tickets, available HERE.

About Glasses Malone

Glasses Malone is a rapper known for songs such as “Two Hunned” from his mixtape, Lightning Strikes… Sticks. After turning down several major record labels, including Interscope Records and Def Jam, he eventually signed with Cash Money Records in 2011 and received his own imprint, Blu Division. In 2009, he accompanied Techn9ne and Slaughterhouse on their KOD tour. He also participated in the Juggalo March on Washington in 2017.

First Electric Flying Car

In the summer of 2019, Alauda Aeronautics and Airspeeder Founder, Matt Pearson outlined a vision to create the most exciting next-generation motorsport on the planet. In doing so, accelerating the arrival of the flying car mobility revolution we have been promised for generations.

Since then, a dedicated team of engineers, technical and sports rights minds drawn from the most celebrated names in motorsport, performance automotive, and aviation have developed the world’s first and only fully functioning electric flying racing cars.

World’s First Remotely Piloted Flying Car Races

These vehicles will soon take place in a series of groundbreaking races named the EXA Series. These historic first electric flying car Grand Prix will be driven by the world’s best Speeder pilots. They will race blade-to-blade at speeds of up to 300 km/h in locations where racing has never taken place before. This EXA Series is the permanent development formula for the forthcoming Airspeeder crewed electric flying car races. As such, the competitors that have been chosen to take part will embark upon an extraordinary development journey, ascending from elite remote pilots into true history makers as the world’s first competitors in the forthcoming Airspeeder crewed races.

Ready to Race

These next-generation racing machines publicly flew for the first time in the summer of 2021 through development flights that have taken place in secret locations across the deserts of South Australia. While the technical team worked tirelessly to engineer and validate these revolutionary flying vehicles, more than 1,500 individuals applied to become history makers and pioneers as the world’s first electric flying car racing pilots. Indeed, in June 2019, Matt Pearson stood at the Agility Prime gathering of the world’s elite civil and military pilots and announced an open invitation to pilots. This drew the widest talent pool ever assembled to a new form of motorsport. Thousands of individuals from across the world drawn from aviation, racing, performance automotive, UAM flying, and even eSports answered the call to make history as the world’s first electric flying car pilots.

An exhaustive process of selection followed. Key attributes far beyond just competitive instincts were assessed in making the final choices. To be among this initial number, raw pilot skill is not enough. These individuals have been chosen because of their ability to work in lockstep with the greatest technical minds to help develop both an entirely new form of game-changing technology and the very fundamentals of a sport that promises to rapidly accelerate its development. These women and men are therefore not only elite-level competitors but also proved an extraordinary level of sensitivity to the technical requirements to test and refine a form of aerial motor-racing built from a blank sheet of paper.

In that sense, they are the ultimate development racing drivers and will work as a vital arm of the Alauda Aeronautics engineering team to lead an approach to refine the dynamic and tactical nuances that will make the EXA and Airspeeder races the most compelling and progressive sporting entities in the world. Now, as these historic first remotely piloted Grand Prix races draw nearer, now is the time to reveal the first pilots that will plot a course to victory and a place in the history books of both the dawn of a new sport and a new, bold era in advanced air mobility.

In Profile: The World’s First Electric Flying Car Racing Pilots

Emily Dugan, Racing Driver: Emily is Australia’s most successful current racing driver. She has been recognized as a rising star woman in sport. She started in the NSW Excel Racing Series, but soon progressed to becoming the first female driver to race in the Australian V8 Touring Car Series. She has raced at Bathurst where she secured Fastest Lap in the 2016 Challenge Bathurst and has since completed in both the Australian Toyota 86 Racing Series and Kumho Super3 Series. Emily is a hands-on developer of racing cars and regularly works on the mechanical elements of the machines she drives. Emily has enjoyed much success on the track, scoring 12 wins, 33 podiums, and 2 poles in her career.

Zephatali Walsh, RPAS Pilot: Zephatali is a born competitor. He developed his sporting instincts as a surfer before starting a career that has seen him ascend to being one of the most admired multi-blade pilots in the world. He sees a natural progression between the sports. “The feeling of flying fast with high precision leaves me ecstatic and in awe of experience. I want to surf the air.” He is no stranger to competitive racing in a cutting-edge sport. In 2020, Zephatali was drafted into the Drone Champions League where he competed with Raiden Racing. Like many prospective Airspeeder pilots, his background sits along with the requirements to understand the wider context of the racing he will take part in. Indeed, his path as a student of Environmental Science has developed a fascination with the role that racing plays in creating and accelerating a new clean-air mobility revolution.

Fabio Tischler, FPV Pilot: Fabio is a world-renowned FPV drone pilot. His work has taken him around the world capturing footage from brands including Red Bull, Toyota, and Go Pro. Fabio’s path to racing is less than conventional. He gave up a corporate career and an education in finance to pursue his dream to unleash the potential of FPV drones to capture incredible content. Originally born and raised in Germany, he relocated to Sydney, Australia in 2015 to pursue a dream to fly drones professionally. He soon built a large social following through the creation of some of the most captivating film content in the business. This drew the attention of Alauda who invited him to become part of EXA.

Testing, Development, and Racing

This first intake of pilots will undergo a rigorous process of training and development. This will include the logging of over 2000+ collective hours in the Alauda Aeronautics 6-DoF VR simulator, which will mimic an MK4 circuit race within an XR environment. Pilots will stress-test the Mk3 and Mk4 vehicles inside Unreal Engine to simulate racing.

Through their training programs and the races, they will master the dynamics of the racing vehicle with the same thrust-to-weight ratio as an F16 fighter jet but with the added ability to perform rapid F1 car style hairpin turns. Through uncrewed EXA races and crewed Airspeeder races the latest augmented reality technology will be proven. This will seamlessly display the digital sky tracks that will define race courses in some of the most remote and visually arresting scenery in the world.

A full suite of safety systems will also be pioneered. A systems-based approach to safety integrating attest LiDAR and RADAR systems in a suite of technologies termed the ‘Virtual Force Field’ will free the pilots to compete in blade-to-blade proximity without the risk of colliding.

What to do with your old kitchenware

Over the years it is easy to pick up lots of kitchenware and utensils. However, what is not so easy is keeping them all in good condition. Many people find themselves looking around their kitchen and thinking that the only solution would be to rip it all out and start again. Whilst everyone would like to be able to afford a brand-new kitchen, sometimes it is not financially affordable. This does not mean that you are stuck though. There are plenty of options out there for you to breathe life into your kitchen and this article will give you some ideas on how to do it.

Old Knives

Whether you have invested in a really premium set, or they are just favorites that you have held onto, knives will inevitably lose their sharpness and shine. The simple thing to do is to replace them with a newer set. However, this is not the cheapest thing to do. One way in which you can avoid this is to use a wet stone sharpener. This will bring back the blade to your knife and allow you to keep your favorites without them becoming useless.

Revitalize your woods

One way to breathe some life back into your kitchen and its wares is to give the cupboards, worktops, and tables a good clean and sand. Sanding them down will take off any surface damages like scratches and marks and smooth it all down. If you are looking to change the color scheme of your kitchen then sanding down all of these features is essential. It can be done by getting the right tools or even the handy DIY sanding pads.

Removing the blemishes from your wood will make your kitchen look brand new again. This can be especially helpful if you have had children who have taken their toll on the surfaces. It is cheap and easy to do even for a DIY novice.

Kitchen art

If you have found yourself with an abundance of kitchen equipment that is either rubbish or too old to be of any good to anyone, then why don’t you think about repurposing it. You can be surprised at how creative you can get with old pots and pans. They can make quirky art deco pieces that people won’t believe you whipped up in an afternoon. It is all about knowing what you want to do.

For example, old Teflon frying pans make great chalkboards. This is a great way to get the kids involved. If you have an old skillet pan lying around, you could add art to the back of it and hang it up. You can glue pieces of tile and glass to completely change its look. Or you can repurpose a cake tin as a decorative cake stand for your coffee table. You are only limited by your creativity.

Old Kitchenware

There is so much more that you can do to your old kitchen that does not involve throwing it away. If you don’t have the money or just want to be a little bit greener, then you can investigate how to repurpose all your old kitchenware. Some things like knives can be rejuvenated whilst others can be transformed.

I love the upbeat tempo and vibrant melody. I hope it brings some happiness and maybe even the urge to let loose and dance a little bit, just as it does for me! After enduring so much time apart from friends and family over the last couple of years, I would love for this song to become a hymn of hope.”

Bocelli will be featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show on this upcoming Thursday, January 20, where he will be performing. Bocelli, the son of opera icon Andrea Bocelli, was a special guest for his fathers U.S. arena tour.
