STUNNA GIRL – WHERE YOU BELONG

STUNNA GIRL RELEASES MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE WHERE YOU BELONG

NEW MIXTAPE STUNNA THIS STUNNA THAT AVAILABLE NOW

Coming through with even more heat, buzzing Sacramento, California rapper and #RUNWAYCHALLENGE queen Stunna Girl unveils the music video for Where You Belong today. It’s the latest single from her 2021 mixtape, Stunna This Stunna That, out now.

The visual shows yet another side of the rising star. The cinematic clip directed by Azzie Scott threads together an unpredictable narrative, beginning with Stunna Girl and her man in a city apartment. She sings to the camera, “Come home to me, ‘cause you know where you belong, and those words soon take on a deeper meaning. It seems like her co-star may be up to no good, until a sweet surprise changes the narrative altogether. You’ve got to watch it to find out!

Stunna Girl continues to turn heads. office magazine conducted an in-depth interview and exclusive photo shoot with her. They raved, “You know Stunna Girl when you hear her. Whether it’s from her squeaky, invigorating rap musings, her signature “HAANNNN” tagline, or just the aura of it all—she captures your attention” and called her “savage and raucous, never not sure of herself, and always in-your-face.

She also recently uncovered the music video for 10 Times, maintaining her incredible momentum.

Right out of the gate, Stunna This Stunna That earned critical acclaim. HotNewHipHop raved, “It’s a 12-track project filled with bangers from top to bottom, and she sat down with Hip Hop Wired for an extensive interview. LA Weekly predicted Stunna This Stunna That “should see Stunna Girl’s already blossoming profile go up another level in 2021.

Her rapid-fire flows, head-turning bars, and endless attitude drive Stunna This Stunna That at high speed. On the project, “Ask About Me” couples an unshakable chant with punchy verses over throwback production. She lives up to the title of “Unfuckwittable” by tearing through a bass-y beat with no apologies. “No Real Bitches Left” affirms her outlier status, while the melodic conclusion “Where You Belong” illuminates her vocal range.

She capped off a breakout 2020 with “Rotation.” Not only did it generate just shy of 1 million total streams and views, but it also received critical acclaim. FLAUNT Magazine raved, Stunna Girl is the definition of a bad bitch who’s ready to take over the rap game single-handedly.

She dropped a succession of bangers last year. “Runway” clocked 31 million Spotify streams and sparked the #RUNWAYCHALLENGE with nearly 4 million Tik Tok creates. “Like I Said Tho” and “Lil Boy Cash” increased her momentum, while “Rotation (Game Mix)” graced the Madden 2K21 Official Soundtrack.

Stay tuned for a lot more from Stunna Girl.

ABOUT STUNNA GIRL

Dripping with attitude and ready to inspire confidence, Stunna Girl is ready for her close-up. “I want you to get off the wall. Don’t just stand there to stand there!” The /singer created a viral frenzy for her 2019 style anthem, “Runway.” After releasing a project independently and inking a deal with Epic Records, she is inevitably poised to be one of Hip-Hop’s most anticipated voices of the new decade. “I’m a threat!” she promises.

Born and raised in Northern California, music offered a refuge from a tragic home life. After dealing with a tough upbringing, which saw her having to balance family problems with her own, she knew that she could draw upon her life experiences as creative fuel. Stunna Girl came out of the other side with a newfound sense of confidence and focus, diving headfirst into fulfilling her long standing musical dream. In 2019, she became a major player in the local Sacramento music scene and made waves with her independent debut album, YKWTFGO. When the #RunwayChallenge organically exploded on TikTok, she inspired a viral movement facilitated by millions of videos by fans and influencers such as Nikita Dragun, and more. The song proved so gripping that by the end of the year, TikTok proclaimed her as the fourth top artist on the platform for the year, behind only Lil Nas X, Mariah Carey and Lizzo.

Her nimble raps, fearless rhymes, and unapologetic spirit went on to receive attention from TIMEBuzzFeedThe New Yorker, Teen Vogue and more with Pitchfork saying that there is “no question that women especially may find her confidence genuinely empowering”.

As she told Genius for their coveted Verified series, she freestyled “Runway” in 30 minutes with the intention of creating a motivational anthem. “When I was in the studio, that’s how I felt. Like, ‘Bitch, you look like you’re fresh off the runway. I really just wanted to keep making music that got people to move.” Now, with her major label debut EP on the way, she’s about to shine like never before in 2020.

Drama × Briejean – Hey Boy Remix

DRAMA Delivers Funky Remix of Briejean’s Track: Hey Boy Out July 8

Ghostly International’s electronic R&B duo DRAMA, delivers a funky remix of Brijean’s, the Oakland-based collaboration of Brijean Murphy and Doug Stuart, track Hey Boy. It’s the third reimagining of a single from Brijean’s label LP debut, Feelings and is taken from the forthcoming Feelings Remixes EP, out August 13th.

ListenHey Boy (DRAMA Remix)

Chicago’s DRAMA underscore the disco shuffle of Hey Boy, lending a funkier dance structure complete with shakers and call and response shouts (Hey! Hey Boy!). Brijean considers the original a psychedelic guide — the exploration of finding what feels good — through sorrow, anxiety, apathy. DRAMA’s take doubles down on the good times.

Working with Brijean on the Hey Boy remix has been one of our favorite collaborations. We wanted to give the record some more bounce and make it even more danceable. Brijean is a very talented artist, and we are excited we got to work on this. — DRAMA

The Feelings Remixes EP extends the relaxed reverie of Feelings with contributions from Sam Gendel, Buscabulla, DRAMA, and Rick Wade. Brijean Murphy and Doug Stuart’s deep roots in jazz, pop, electronic and Latin spheres inform the music they make as Brijean, and these influences are reflected in the diverse group of remixers they tapped for this project.

We love DRAMA! Brijean first met Via and Na’el on a tour with Poolside and was struck by their relentless depth, energy and presence performing night after night. Always bringing it and making space for dance. Stoked for their remix of our song Hey Boy — Brijean

DRAMA’s groovy remix of Hey Boy transpires after the duo’s first solo release Don’t Hold Back, which debuted as a World First on Zane Lowe’s Apple Radio show. The track also follows after their hit, You’ve Done Enough with one of dance music’s in-demand acts, Gorgon City, which has been streamed over 20M+, two EPs, Gallows in 2016 and Lies After Love in 2018, and their debut album Dance Without Me in January 2020.

Force3 Named Official Mask of MLB Players, Inc.

Force3 Pro Gear, which has a mission of developing the safest protective gear available for catchers and umpires, today announced it will be recognized as an “Official Catcher’s Mask Partner of MLB Players, Inc.”

The designation by MLB Players, Inc., the business arm of the Major League Baseball Players Association, underscores that Force3 Pro Gear is fast establishing itself as one of baseball’s premier catcher’s equipment companies. Since Tyler Flowers of the Atlanta Braves first wore a Force3 mask in 2016, several other Major Leaguers have followed, including Chicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal, who is also an investor in the company.

With its revolutionary patented S3 Shock Suspension System technology, Force3’s unique line of masks reduces frontal impacts by absorbing energy that otherwise would be transmitted back through the head. Force3’s masks have been independently tested with speeds over 100 mph and at NOCSAE (National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment) approved test labs to ensure the performance exceeds mask standards.

“I created this mask technology out of necessity after being violently struck by a foul ball to my chin while umpiring in the minor leagues,” said Force3 Pro Gear President and Founder Jason Klein. “The S3 technology absorbs impacts like no other mask, reducing injuries and giving Players and umpires the best chance of not being seriously injured.”

“Ensuring the safety and wellness of Players is at the forefront of all that we do, and we admire Force3 Pro Gear’s mission to manufacture safe equipment for catchers and umpires,” MLBPA Executive Director Tony Clark said.

Klein founded Force3 Pro Gear and created the patented S3 Technology after recognizing a need to improve sport equipment during his 10 years as a minor league umpire. The Milford, Conn.-based company is committed to reducing the number of concussion,s and other sports injuries and extending the careers of athletes and officials by revolutionizing their protective equipment.

As part of the agreement, MLB Players, Inc. will also become a shareholder in the company.

Rolling Loud x WWE

Call it the ultimate mashup.

The newly announced partnership between Rolling Loud and WWE will see hip-hop’s biggest names performing alongside WWE SmackDown wrestling. This partnership is the first of its kind. No other time in history has seen a collaboration between wrestling and a large-scale music festival.

This is how it’s basically going to go down. On July 23, SmackDown will feature a split FOX broadcast with two matches being held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami (same venue as Rolling Loud) while the rest are at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.

I’m honestly extremely intrigued by the thought of A$AP ROCKY, Travis Scott, and Post Malone performing in between or alongside a LIVE wrestling match. With that caliber of a lineup, concert-deprived fans, and throw in some of the world’s most entertaining wrestlers? The energy all around is bound to be ELECTRIFYING.

So what does this mean for the future of collaborations between live music and sporting events?

I think the opportunities are endless. But before I go any further, I should clarify that while I am an enthusiast of the virtual space – I don’t foresee in-person gatherings becoming null and void, ever. There’s just something that comes with having human energy together collectively in one space. Let’s explore a few of my ideas.

Most sporting venues also double as concert venues. Could this be the beginning of seeing mega venues that could concurrently host a live music and sporting event? I see this being easily achieved even more specifically in the world of e-sports.

Or even take for example the current format of sporting events. In some capacity, small-scope performances already take place during sporting events i.e. halftime, national anthem singers, etc. Might we start to see longer pre or post-game concerts? To reference a basketball analogy, a 2 for 1? Will we see tours scheduled around team calendars? A league that is primed to do this would be Ice Cube’s Big 3.

Not all people who go to live music and sporting events go to actually listen to music or watch the game. They go to socialize and network. They may possibly have been enticed by promotions or a giveaway. They may simply want to make an impression or maybe they are big fans of an artist or team after all. No matter the circumstance, I think the ultimate draw to such collaborative efforts is the fusion of audiences and the power of sport and music to unite.

As told on WWE.com, “WWE has a rich history of integrating music into all aspects of its brand and collaborating with some of the most celebrated artists in the world. Over the years, world-renowned hip-hop artists including Snoop Dogg, Diddy, Three 6 Mafia, MGK, Wale, and many others have performed at WWE’s biggest events.”

I know that I have a bias but music has always played a very important role in sports and vice versa. I think it was Drake that said “Damn, I swear sports and music are so synonymous. ‘Cause, we want to be them, and they want to be us.”LOL!

I will definitely be tuned in on the 23 to see how this looks like in actuality. I am also eager to see the continuation in the development of how to further collaborate across the music and sports landscapes from the live production and programming standpoint.

Mereba Prepares For Motherhood

Fresh off the release of her new project AZEB, singer/songwriter Mereba returns with her new video “Go(l)d.” Directed by Sean Frank, a radiant Mereba sings of hope and change while having a bright gold light shining on her face. “I still believe in gold,” she sings at the latter part of the record. Later in the clip, Mereba displays her baby bump, which is held and supported by the hands of different people. Facebook premiered the ethereal video, which Aiden Magarian also produced. Watch HERE.

Last month, Mereba performed her standout song “Rider” at the 2021 BET Awards. Singing on the Amplified Stage, Mereba showcased her tenacity and artistic prowess, especially after giving birth to her first child weeks prior. Along with her latest project AZEB, Mereba provided fans live performances of various tracks, including “Rider” and “Aye,” with the latter honoring Juneteenth.

In April, she and Vince Staples interviewed each other for Interview Magazine, as they each spoke candidly on their journeys and life’s directions. She also took part in an enlightening interview/performance for Klipsch Audio’s newest series, Out Loud. There, she performed a unique medley and incorporated her standout record, “Planet U.”

In 2018, Mereba released her first singles through major-label Interscope. A 9th Wonder collaboration titled “Black Truck” marked her official debut that February and was followed by the release of “Planet U,” which she produced herself with co-production from Ayo Olatunji and Sam Hoffman.

Both tracks were included on her groundbreaking debut album The Jungle Is the Only Way Out, which arrived in February 2019 and featured appearances from 6LACK and J.I.D. The acclaimed project earned praise from Vogue, Pitchfork, Billboard, Earmilk, Hypebeast, and Ones to Watch, who noted that “Mereba has pushed the boundaries of R&B and established herself as a voice of the future.” She also appeared on Dreamville’s now-platinum Revenge of the Dreamers III in 2019, which earned her her first Grammy nomination in 2020.

Cassadee Pope × THRIVE

On today’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, Cassadee Pope, announced the title of her upcoming album, THRIVE, due out this Fall. Pope also performed her current single from the album, “What The Stars See,” alongside one of the track’s female collaborators, Lindsay Ell. The celestially captivating video was directed by Matthew Paskert (Taillight) and was filmed at the jaw-dropping planetarium at Adventure Science Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

WATCH:   “What The Stars See” Performance

“I’ve been a fan of Kelly’s since her first audition on ‘American Idol.’ To have been invited to her show is such an honor and I’m so glad her show is where I officially make my album announcement,” says Pope. “I wanted to name the album ‘Thrive’ because that word explodes with empowerment and endurance. The title track talks about not just surviving something but thriving from it, and I’m at a point in my life where I can see how the hard times were necessary. I also feel so unapologetically me in this new project which makes me thrive in every sense of the word!”

THRIVE is Pope’s ninth career album that blends pop-punk melodies, from the inception of her career with band “Hey Monday,” with the Country storytelling that overflows from her heart. The two worlds collide into a harmonious collection of songs that best represent where Cassadee is at this stage in her life: happy, confident, and healthy. Cassadee’s powerhouse vocals come alive stronger than ever with masterful direction from producers Nick Wheeler (All-American Rejects) and Karen Fairchild (Little Big Town) – role models who represent the best from eras of her own musical journey.

On Friday, July 9th, Pope will release her second single from THRIVE, “Say It First.” The track written by Pope, Ross Copperman, and Heather Morgan, is an angsty look at pulling the plug on a relationship and taking the difficult role of “bad guy,” even when you both know it’s come to an end and making the decision to “Say It First.”

PRE-SAVE: “Say It First”

Stay tuned for even more new music from Cassadee Pope this year!

JUANA MARTIN REVEALS NEW COLLECTION “SEL NOIR”

Today, the Spanish designer Juana Martín presents her new collection, “Sal Negra” (“Sel Noir”), at Paris Couture Fashion Week through a digital format.

The digital format in which the collection is exhibited delivers great audiovisual impact. Images are closely linked to nature, which take us directly to where the Fashion Film was recorded: the unmistakable Salinas de la Bahía de Cádiz, which belong to the Cultural Heritage of Andalusia, at dawn. Symbolism is crucial in “Sal Negra”—the dawn represents the rebirth of a new stage after a turbulent year, and the name of the collection is reinforced by the scenery in which the catwalk takes place.

The designer’s new collection can be interpreted from two points of view, taking as a reference the prominence and symbolism of the color black. On the one hand, the collection can be understood from the trajectory and origins of Juana Martín herself, her roots and particular and recognized style. And, on the other hand, the collection can be viewed as a personal vision in which “Sel Noir” reproduces the situation experienced this past year around the world.

Black Salt is characterized by volume, structure and the binomial and paradox between black and white, light and dark. Volume and exaggerated structures invade the garments, especially on the sleeves. We also find straight lines which are added to the curved format in more organic shapes.

The main fabrics are embroidered satins, structured organza with whalebones, taffetas, pleats, silk chiffons and sophisticated crystal mesh coats. Fabrics and textures take an important role in her video-parade, as they form an important contrast with the homogeneous blue sky and infinite sand that can be seen in the background. The colors of nature that serve as a backdrop merge and are part of the colorful collection.
