MEET ME @ THE ALTAR × FEEL A THING
MEET ME @ THE ALTAR RELEASE “FEEL A THING” (FEAT. DAN CAMPBELL) [ACOUSTIC] LISTEN HERE
MAJOR LABEL DEBUT EP MODEL CITIZEN OUT AUGUST 13 VIA FUELED BY RAMEN PRE-ORDER/PRE-SAVE/PRE-ADD HERE
Rising pop-punk trio Meet Me @ The Altar have unveiled an acoustic rendition of their latest single “Feel A Thing,” featuring additional vocals from early champion Dan Campbell. The track is available to stream and download now HERE.
“Feel A Thing” is the lead single of Meet Me @ The Altar’s eagerly anticipated major label debut EP Model Citizen, which arrives on August 13th via Fueled By Ramen, and is available for pre-order/pre-save/pre-add HERE. Upon its release last month, the track racked up critical praise, with Rolling Stone hailing the single as “a blistering track filled with flurries of double-kick drum hits and crunchy guitar riffs.” The FADER touted the song as “widescreen and anthemic,” while UPROXX declared “Feel A Thing” “a reminder of why pop-punk became so popular in the first place. Watch the song’s official music video HERE.
This summer, Meet Me @ The Altar will embark on a massive U.S. tour supporting Coheed and Cambria & The Used and appear at Chicago, IL’s Riot Fest. In the fall, they will return to the road with labelmates All Time Low and nothing, nowhere. for a tour of North America. A complete list of upcoming live dates can be found HERE.
Meet Me @ The Altar announced their Fueled By Ramen signing last October in an exclusive interview with Billboard and unleashed their critically acclaimed major label debut single “Garden.” The song’s vibrant music video premiered on The FADER, and “Garden” graced best songs of 2020 lists by NPR Music, The FADER, Refinery 29, and more. Earlier this year, the band debuted the powerful single, “Hit Like A Girl” in partnership with Facebook’s Women’s History Month campaign. Meet Me @ The Altar has already been named an artist to watch in 2021 by Rolling Stone, NYLON, and more.
Crossing state lines and breaking all kinds of boundaries, the groups members Edith Johnson [vocals], Ta Campbell [guitar], and Ada Juarez [drums] initially met online, bonding over the likes of Paramore and Twenty One Pilots and agreeing on a need for more representation in pop punk. Instead of waiting for somebody else to do it, they stepped up and became that representation as three proud women of color playing lightning fast riffs, pounding out double kicks, and chanting huge hooks.
Stay tuned for more new music from Meet Me @ The Altar soon.

Not more than two years ago, Rainbow Kitten Surprise launched the biggest headline tour of their career thus far in support of their Elektra Records debut, How To: Friend, Love, Freefall. The Friend, Love, Freefall Tour spanned 50 sold-out shows highlighted by 6 venue upgrades, 3 second nights added, and over 80,000 tickets sold. They even packed the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater to the gills and were scheduled to return for two sold out nights in 2021 that were canceled due to the pandemic. On October 1, 2019, they rolled through Athens and lit up The 40 Watt Club before gracing the stage of The Georgia Theatre two nights in a row October 3 and October 4. The live album harnesses all the magic of a Rainbow Kitten Surprise show as they electrify a sold-out audience with signature anthems and fan favorites. Check out the full tracklisting below.
To date, How To: Friend, Love Freefall has gathered north of 230 million streams, while the lead single “Fever Pitch” eclipsed 40 million streams and vaulted into the Top 10 at Triple A Radio. Rainbow Kitten Surprise teased the arrival of RKS! Live From Athens Georgia with the release of “Hide (Live from Athens Georgia)” on DSPs and as a live performance video (watch HERE) last month. It has already generated half-a-million cumulative streams and counting.
In tandem with the release, the band engaged fans to support the Louisville Pride Foundation, who are raising funds to open an ADA-compliant LGBTQ+ Community Center in Louisville, KY. The Center will be a home for events, programming, and connection to services/resources ranging from substance abuse to intimate partner violence to housing. They will provide backbone support to the city’s LGBTQ+ community and the organizations who support it. The Center is especially close to the bands’ hearts as it will serve as a tangible space for queer individuals living in the South to feel safe.
To help meet the Foundation’s fundraising goal of $20k to open their doors during Louisville Pride this September, RKS has launched exclusive pride merch items including a t-shirt, socks, and a vinyl slipmat [available here]. The band has partnered with PLUS1 so that 100% of the proceeds will go to support the Foundation. An option is also available for fans to donate straight to the organization in addition to or in lieu of any purchases made.

TOM ODELL – MONSTERS
Tom Odell new studio album monsters out now
2022 North American Tour Announced, Fan Pre-Sale Tuesday July 13 at 12PM EST
Away from all the noise of his various successes – three UK top 5 albums including the platinum-selling, chart-topping Long Way Down; two top 10 singles; a 2013 Brit award for Critic’s Choice – there’s one thing that’s always kept Tom Odell grounded: songwriting. A classic songwriter in the mould of Elton John (who’s a big fan, actually), Odell – who was awarded a prestigious Ivor Novello for Songwriter of the Year in 2014 – relied on his passion more than ever when it came to crafting his fourth album, the pop-leaning, emotionally-healing monsters out today, July 9 via Sony Music UK/RCA Records.
Today, Odell also announces that his 2022 North American tour dates will go on sale Tuesday, July 13 to fans via pre-sale at 12 noon EST/9am PST, with general tickets available for purchase next Friday, July 16 at 10 am local time. Visit the official website for more information.
Tom Odell’s new song out today “over you yet” has him lamenting a past relationship which he painfully cannot disconnect from. While the subject matter can be heavy, there’s a lightness of touch that means he is able to pull off pop’s greatest trick – hiding sadness in bright, joyful melodies. The track is subtly embraced by his newfound love of DIY electronic pop with its beat-driven melancholic production.
After a dark period of mental health stalked most of his 2018 and 2019, Odell wrote his way through it, eventually letting down his guard and pouring his feelings on everything from anxiety to capitalism, toxic masculinity to politics, into a 16-track opus that feels like both a daring creative rebirth and a solidifying of Odell’s strengths. It’s all there in the opening song and album lead single, “numb” which opens with Odell’s unadorned vocal over sparse piano – “I hold my hand over the flame, to see if I can feel some pain,” he sings – before eerie, wheezing electronics and layers of clipped beats cloak the song in a sticky sadness.
“I was writing songs like I always did, but it wasn’t until I started writing about stuff that was contributing to my mental health problems that I felt like a record was forming,” he says of the album – his first since 2018’s 70s rock-leaning Jubilee Road, which was started in May 2019 and finished in Odell’s home studio between lockdowns in 2020. That thematic turning point came in the shape of the single “monster,” which like the album’s lead single “numb” confronts that sentiment head on. With the sky-scraping chorus (“you’re just a monster and I’m not scared”) initially inspired by Trump, and more specifically climate change activist Greta Thunberg staring him down at the UN Climate Summit in 2019, the song soon morphed into something more abstract, a self-help mantra for Odell’s ongoing battle with anxiety. “It’s about trying to tell myself that this thing I’m feeling is not real,” he says. “It always used to happen in bathrooms – I’d be out somewhere and then I’d walk to the bathroom and my heart would go at a million miles per hour and I’d feel like I was about to collapse, and I’d try to tell myself it was fine. That it will pass. That it’s a state of mind.”
Odell has been working as a musician in the public eye since he was 21 when self-penned debut album Long Way Down earned him a number 1 album, a top 10 single, the epic “Another Love” and a Brit Award. Now, 30, it’s clear to Odell that the whirlwind around his debut kick-started a work ethic that eventually became an obsession. “Just wanting to completely lose myself in it but to a damaging extent I think.” It reached an apex in September 2019 when Odell, fresh off touring Jubilee Road, went straight to LA to start writing the next album. “Then this chronic anxiety that I’d had for a couple of years just got worse – I was very lonely, I was drinking way too much, and it just got really bad.” He takes a deep breath. “I was taking Valium every day to try and just not have a panic attack. I was seeing multiple psychologists over there.” Plans were made to fly to Nashville to work with producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Twenty One Pilots) but were swiftly cancelled after Odell woke up one morning “and I couldn’t do anymore music.” He knew something had to change. “It was like I’m going to end up with something terrible happening,” he sighs. “I used to sit on Santa Monica beach and look at the planes taking off from LAX and just dream of being on one.” In the end he flew back home, went straight to his parent’s house, and slowly got better. “That was the point I started writing these songs.”
Slowly but surely, Odell turned that challenging experience into a new album. He also realized his broader lyrical horizons needed to be matched by a musical expansion, with a lot of the songs on the album – created alongside songwriter Laurie Blundell and producer Miles James – leaning into a more electronic, bedroom pop sound that Odell has steadily become obsessed with over the last few years. It wasn’t always that way, mind you. “I really turned my nose up at anything that was made on a computer,” he laughs. “I just didn’t like pop music. Some of that was my issue and some of it was that pop music wasn’t that good four or five years ago – it’s so interesting now. I hear lyrical subjects that I don’t think anyone’s heard in pop music before. I felt like I was getting caught up in that fire and suddenly I was so excited.” This newfound love of DIY electronic pop chimed with the pandemic’s arrival and songs were crafted in a more threadbare way around instruments he had at hand, like Moog synths. It was a move underpinned by both necessity and a desire to explore.
“It was the inhibition of not being able to use a full band that pushed things forward,” he says. So eerie synths and head-rattling beats augment the frayed-around-the-edges, impassioned rallying cry of “fighting fire with fire” (“I’m sick of white messiahs”), while “money” – which rails against society’s obsession with capitalism, while also pointing at the reflection in the mirror – is built around a driving pulse of echo-laden beats and crunchy, metallic percussion. On “numb,” inspired by experimental musician Mica Levi’s soundscapes, synthetic textures are painstakingly fused with acoustic flourishes. “I would say there was this period before it all unraveled in LA where I was just disconnected,” he says of the lyrical inspiration for “numb.” “I felt bogged down, like I was beginning to lose that sense of lightness.”
“fighting fire with fire,” “numb” and “monster” also touch on ideas around prevailing toxic masculinity and its effects on body-image issues. “On ‘monster,” I like the idea that I’m singing the chorus to myself – this idea of body image and never being good enough. You look in the mirror and it’s like ‘you’re just a monster.’ Those low self-esteem moments that we all have.” That theme also permeates the fragile, heart-breaking piano ballad and future single, lose you again, which pores over a fractured relationship and rails at the stoicism that bleeds out of men being afraid to show their feelings. Continuing to hide sadness in bright, joyful melodies is the buoyant pop shimmer of me and my friends, inspired by a homeless person Odell met briefly in LA who called him out on his patronizing need to help her, and the pastoral, 60s-inspired guitar that flutters around the broken tales of the lush tears that never dry.
As a testament to his enduring popularity, Tom Odell was invited to perform on BBC1’s Graham Norton TV show, and more recently he appeared on the The Late Late Show with James Corden with another intimate performance. At the same time, Odell’s fan base continues to grow exponentially with his new sound and direction. He has gained over 4 million new monthly listeners since the start of the year, with two thirds of his audience under 25. Despite joining TikTok relatively recently, his heavily engaged videos have been viewed over 15 million times, and his first ever single “Another Love” has had a resurgence in popularity amongst a new generation, becoming a viral hit and entering the UK official singles charts again.
Four albums into his career and Tom Odell has made a record that feels free of expectation, free of other people’s perceptions of who he is as an artist. While it was darkness that inspired him, he has managed to transform that into a multi-layered, genre-bending pop album full of light, and hope, even in the strangest of times. monsters also represents the start of chapter two in Odell’s ongoing musical journey. “I feel like I’ll be doing this for as long as I can,” Odell smiles. “I also feel like I do it for the right reasons – because I love making music.” He’s confident, too, after a difficult few years lost in the wilderness. “I feel like I’ve got shit to say and I’m good at what I’m doing now.”

An incredible writer, lyricist, rapper and vocalist, bursting with effusive energy and a massive personality, the Cleveland native, born Nnena Adigwe to Nigerian parents, credits some of her robust, descriptive storytelling impulses to her past screenwriting experience. A former basketball player, Nnena began writing comedic sketches during college. That soon led to working on more full-fledged projects—the kinds of works that needed sound tracking. Rather than pay licensing fees, she tried her hand at making her own music.
For her debut EP, Nnena scripted and produced comedic and brilliant bite-sized sketches and live videos to post as companion pieces for the EP track to set the vibe for each song- Check those out on her Instagram.
She explains making music for her is about telling stories that simultaneously define us and connect us to others. I want my music to elicit the truth and make the listener feel comfortable. I want people not to feel alone and I never want my music to leave anyone out.
In the music and visuals that she creates, she shares stories, scenarios, debacles and personal experiences with a warmth, humor, and finesse that almost make you forget how hard life can be. I’ll make the worst situations funny.
Nnena also finds inspiration for her music from the female experience, My music is what other females wish they could say out loud, but I do it for them in a song.
Nnena has received early coverage from Variety, Teen Vogue, Flood, and support from BBC 1’s Annie Mac, Apple Music’s Ebro, and has been a sought-after songwriter for artists such as Beyoncé, Rihanna and Normani. She has also performed as the opening act for rising star Boogie, Mayorkun, and Trinidad James.
Her music reflects her eclectic influences ranging from Otis Redding to Millie Jackson, from Queen Latifah to Miriam Makeba to Kendrick Lamar and especially, Lauryn Hill, she molded me the most, along with other neo-soul genre artists Musiq Soulchild and Jill Scott, as well from Drake, J. Cole, to Tiwa Savage.
In addition to working on her debut album, Nnena has participated in two writing camps this year for the television series Insecure, created by Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore.

PRATEEK KUHAD – SHEHRON KE RAAZ
Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Prateek Kuhad has debuted new EP Shehron Ke Raaz. The four-track collection includes an acoustic version of Kuhad’s 2020 breakout hit “Kasoor,” and was heralded by singles “Tere Hi Hum” and the EP’s title track. Shehron Ke Raaz is available now on all streaming platforms via Elektra Records.
The artist returns his Indian roots on the project, recording in Bombay and singing in Hindi as he explores the intimate, often hidden worlds that lovers create for themselves. There’s a sweetness to his delivery that transcends language and culture, resulting in a dreamy and profoundly moving body of work that speaks to the kind of fundamentally human desires that bind us all.
“Big cities have countless stories of lovers lost in their own little worlds, and while their particular corner of the city may be small in the grand scheme of things, their emotional universe is large and all-encompassing,” Kuhad explains. “This EP explores love in a very gentle and personal manner. The stories are hidden, and they belong to those who wish to participate in them. The music attempts to represent hope, mystery, and wonder in the most beautiful way possible.”
In October, Prateek announced his signing to Elektra Records, making history as the first solo Indian act to join the storied label. The news was heralded by the re-release of his 2018 breakthrough EP cold / mess, lauded by Atwood Magazine an “an utterly breathtaking, expansive piece of indie folk mastery.” The collection has racked up critical praise from NPR, Vulture, Billboard, Uproxx, and former President Barack Obama, who featured “cold / mess” on his 2019 Songs of the Year playlist. In February, Kuhad shared “cold / mess (on piano),” a stripped-back take of the delicate ballad.
Hailed by Rolling Stone India as “one of the country’s leading singer-songwriters,” Prateek Kuhad has taken the rest of the world by storm in recent years, writing and performing in both Hindi and English and garnering a slew of accolades and honors around the globe with his mesmerizing, cinematic songwriting.
Growing up in the small city of Jaipur, India, Kuhad’s childhood listening diet consisted primarily of the Indian pop and Bollywood soundtracks that filled the local radio dial, as well as his parents’ CD collection, which contained only limited Western music. A move to New York City for college opened Prateek’s eyes to a new world of music, discovering Elliott Smith and inspiring him to seriously pursue his musical ambitions. While Kuhad has long been a household name in his native country (he became one of Spotify India’s most-streamed artists when the service launched there and the cold/mess EP debuted at #1), 2019 proved to be his breakout year in North America, with a star-making turn at SXSW and a cross-country headline run that culminated with three sold out shows in New York City.
Prateek’s debut album In Tokens and Charms was an instant hit ߝ earning the artist an MTV Europe Music Award, Indie Album of the Year honors from iTunes, and the title of Best Pop Artist at the Radio City Freedom Awards. The album’s opening track, “Oh Love,” captured first place in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition, which previously helped launch artists like Gotye and Passenger to global audiences. Kuhad has sold out auditorium and amphitheater dates across India, landed arena support slots with the likes of Alt-J and Mike Posner, and traveled the world for headline and festival performances in the US, UK, Australia, Singapore, Canada, and France.

NALIYA – ROLLER COASTER
Emerging as a dynamic pop presence with widespread critical acclaim, buzzing artist, producer, and songwriter Naliya shares a new single Roller Coaster. Once again, her smooth delivery, quotable lyrics, and elite beat-making shine. The track affirms her unpredictable approach with hypnotic verses before dropping into another massive chorus. As always, she invites audiences along for the ride on Roller Coaster.
Right out of the gate, “Handshakes” gathered over 500,000 streams to date and picked up critical acclaim. The Honey Pop raved, “she blew our minds with her first single ‘Handshakes’,” and went on to promise, “You’re going to listen to it non-stop, it’s guaranteed.” EDM.com described it as “a dreamy inaugural release,” and A1234 called it a “buoyantly simple yet elegant track that uses a sparse production to bring out the emotive nature of the lyrics, drawing us into her soundscape and way of thinking.” Sheesh Media praised “Handshakes” as a “tender and sentimental banger” and “filled to the brim with electronically filtered vocals and near-lullaby vibes.”
Naliya is putting the finishing touches on her forthcoming debut EP—coming soon. She continues to assert herself as an artist-to-watch this year. Stay tuned for more!
ABOUT NALIYA
Naliya personally touches every element of her music. Behind a desk running Ableton Live by herself, she’ll conjure up a beat before picking up a pen to write lyrics and finally grabbing a microphone to bring the production and words to life. Raised between Canada and France, the Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and producer architects an unfiltered and undeniable take on pop warmed by handcrafted beats and lyrics so intimate they could be a DM.
During a Shark Tank-style Instagram Live hosted by powerhouse songwriter J Kash (Maroon 5, Charlie Puth, Selena Gomez), she shared a composition and landed a deal. With Kash in her corner, she co-wrote Jason Derulo’s “Lifestyle” (feat. Adam Levine) and Tate McRae’s “Rubberband.” After amassing nearly 6 million streams independently and quietly cooking up songs for industry heavyweights, she formally introduces herself on a series of 2021 singles and her forthcoming debut EP to be released via Immersive / Sandlot / Interscope Records.
Masked Wolf – Say So
Elektra recording artist Masked Wolf has unveiled his brand new single “Say So,” available today on all DSPs HERE. The buoyant track is an early contender for song of the summer, and marks the Australian rapper’s much anticipated, follow up to his global smash “Astronaut In The Ocean” which has already gone to #1 in 8 countries around the world and amassed over a BILLION streams to date. “Say So” sees Masked Wolf collaborating once again with “Astronaut” producer Tyron Hapi. Watch the companion lyric video for “Say So” HERE.
Masked Wolf explains: “It’s always important for me to say something with my music, even if the deeper message is hidden inside of what sounds like a fun, upbeat song. In ‘Say So,’ I was writing about how, in times of trouble, we often try to act like we’re still okay, even when we really aren’t. No matter how bad the situation is or how close we are to self-destructing, we think that, if we keep telling ourselves we’re ok, then maybe we will be. We think ‘if we say so, then we say so…’ but really we need help.”.
“Astronaut In The Ocean” has also proven to be a multi-format phenomenon in the U.S., climbing into #1 on the Rhythmic chart while remaining a mainstay in the Top 10 at Top 40 radio. The song has spent 20 weeks and counting on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #6 and holding at 12 this week. Meanwhile, the official music video has logged over 180 million views on YouTube alone. Masked Wolf made his world television debut with an epic performance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” followed by his first, primetime television appearance on The Voice and, most recently, on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” Last month, Masked Wolf released “Gravity Glidin’,” a track that he explained as “the response to Astro. Where ‘Astronaut In The Ocean’ is about not being where I should be, this song is about me feeling like I’ve found my place and finally gliding through the environment I was born to be in.”
Look out for much more to come from Masked Wolf in 2021.
About Masked Wolf
Transforming from a mild-mannered man by day into an unrestrained beast in the studio, Masked Wolf (aka, Harry Michael) has unassumingly established himself as a powerful, passionate, and primal hip-hop force. After graduating from school, the Sydney, Australia native tirelessly worked in sales to fund recording. He even took out a loan to build a home studio as he cut hundreds of songs and logged thousands of hours in the lab. In 2018, he dropped his independent debut “Speed Racer.” It gathered millions of streams and turned heads across Australia. Following “Night Rider” and “Water Walkin,” he unveiled “Astronaut in the Ocean.” Awash in airy guitar, jagged 808s, neon keys, and deft wordplay, he submerged himself in honest lyricism, facing depression head-on. That one-two-punch of a recognizable riff and chantable chorus organically caught fire online. It quickly incited 350,000-plus TikTok videos, spanning everything from footage of U.S. military Blackhawk chopper crews to welders and ice fisherman. Meanwhile, Kansas City Chief Super Bowl champ quarterback Patrick Mahomes even incorporated the tune into an Instagram post, fueling its explosion in early 2021. Amassing streams in the hundreds of millions and counting, the buzzing rapper and singer unleashes a torrent of personal truths and emotions on his 2021 debut for Elektra Records and more to come.
