Nothing But Thieves × Moral Panic II

Southend five-piece Nothing But Thieves have announced a new 5-track EP Moral Panic II, which is the follow-up to their #3 acclaimed third album Moral Panic released last year. They have also shared a brand new track and lyric video Miracle, Baby, which follows recent single Futureproof.

Moral Panic II follows the band’s acclaimed third album Moral Panic and was written following the completion of the latter, despite a connection between the two both thematically and lyrically. The EP features 5 brand new tracks, including recent single Futureproof and new track Miracle, Baby and is a reflective body of work tinged with emotion, anger and hope, which openly and passionately discusses many issues we face in modern society today. Released on July 23 via Sony Music UK/RCA Records, the EP is available now for pre-order HERE.

The band says;

“Moral Panic II was something we decided to do only after Part I was all mixed, mastered and the records pressed.  It didn’t feel like we were done with the Moral Panic theme – I think partly because we hadn’t been able to tour the project yet, it didn’t feel right to move on. But we also had the luxury of time to assess the album and explore some avenues we felt the album may have missed.”“In that way, it was important that Moral Panic II comprised of completely fresh, newly written songs rather than songs that just didn’t wind up making the album, like how a traditional deluxe version would function. There’s a familiarity, but we also really honed in on a new side of the band. Part II rounds Part I out – really, the two parts should be enjoyed as one project.”

New track Miracle, Baby, produced by Rich Costey (Biffy Clyro, Haim, Foo Fighters) is intensely captivating and gives another taste of Moral Panic II with its refreshing narrative and commanding chorus. The track is accompanied by a lyric video, which can be watched here (add link). The band say;

“Miracle, Baby was written directly after Futureproof. After experimenting with hip hop/RnB influences on that song, it really helped inform a direction for us to follow – we tried to pull vocal inspiration from soul and funk and musical inspiration from almost a prog rock background. The lyrics are light-hearted in a way which felt refreshing to include in the Moral Panic world. We wanted to create a narrative – they’re actually very nearly a joke, but the end seems to turn them round somehow and makes the whole thing more punchy.”

Released last year, their third album Moral Panic achieved over 102 million streams and saw support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, Virgin Radio and Radio X alongside winning Best Indie Act at Global Radio’s 2021 Awards. Moral Panic followed their 2018 EP What Did You Think When You Made Me This Way, their 2017 acclaimed album Broken Machine, which charted at #2 in the UK album chart, and their debut self-titled album Nothing But Thieves.

The past few years have been quite a ride for Nothing But Thieves. Amassing over 1 million worldwide album sales and over 907 million worldwide streams, they have built up a loyal and wide following for their impactful alt rock sound, cementing themselves as one of the best current rock bands in the world. Selling 150,000 tickets on their last album campaign, which included a sold-out show at London’s Alexandra Palace and selling out their entire worldwide Broken Machine headline tour, their success has been global.

The band have performed on US TV shows, such as James Corden and Jimmy Kimmel, after their debut became the bestselling debut from a UK rock band in the US in 2015 and played packed out international shows from Poland to Amsterdam, where they headlined an arena to 6,000 fans. After intimately debuting new songs early last year for a BRITs/War Child gig, they were set to tour internationally last Spring, including a show to 6,500 people at Moscow Adrenaline Stadium.

Following 3 livestream performances Live from the Warehouse last year to launch Moral Panic, they are finally bringing songs from the album to live audiences this Autumn with a UK, Ireland and European tour, including their biggest ever headline London show at O2 Arena. With a well-earned reputation for their energetic, impassioned and infinite live shows, it’s a tour not to be missed.

SAM HIMSELF — “WHAT IT’S WORTH”

“Sam Himself uses his vocal power to sing songs of finding your place.”Consequence Of Sound

“His deep, rich vocals remind us of the beauty that exists even during the darkest times.”The Wild Honey Pie

“The King of Tears.”Victoria Turrian, Radio Television Suisse

“Sam Himself’s baritone vocal provides a cool sensuality reminiscent of The National’s Matt Berninger combined with the soaring instrumentation of Future Islands.”Ears To Feed

The 2021 Swiss Music Awards nominee, Sam Himself’s, latest release is the third single leading up to his debut LP, Power Ballads, (due out in October) following album singles “Nothing Like the Nightand “Cry.” The new single, “What It’s Worth,” premiered exclusively with Under The Radar Magazine.

Sam’s latest single is the swan song to a past relationship that crumbled in the wake of his father’s death. This reckoning with the past was inspired by the Swiss-born artist’s unexpected homecoming in early 2020 after a decade of living in Brooklyn, NY:

“My own history caught up with me during my time back in Switzerland. That’s where I grew up, and living there again brought back a lot of memories; home doesn’t forget… One ghost I kept running into was that of an old relationship that fell apart when I lost my dad a few years ago. My hometown is the place where all of that happened, his death and all its casualties, and “What It’s Worth is about one of them.”

You can listen to “What It’s Worth” HERE. You can watch the accompanying lyric video HERE.

When the COVID-19 pandemic brought the world to a standstill early last year, Sam had just embarked on tour in Europe. Suddenly unable to return to his adopted home in New York City, Sam set up shop in his native Basel, Switzerland. At various locations including his mom’s attic, Sam spent the lockdown writing the ten new songs on his upcoming debut LP, Power Ballads. He finished recording the album as soon as he was able to return to NYC this past January, together with his longtime Second Beatle, producer and mixing engineer Daniel Schlett (The War on Drugs; Amen Dunes). The pair had most recently collaborated on Sam’s acclaimed 2020 EP Slow Drugs, which featured drummer Parker Kindred (Jeff Buckley; Elliott Smith) as well as bassist Josh Werner (Ghostface Killah; Iggy Pop), and earned Sam Himself the Swiss National Radio’s prestigious Best Talent Award that same year. You can watch the music video for the album’s title song, “Slow Drugs,” HERE.

Sam’s upcoming full-length debut was mastered by Greg Calbi (David Bowie; Bruce Springsteen) and will be supported by extensive touring this fall through winter 2022 in Switzerland, Germany, and beyond.

LYRICS TO “WHAT IT’S WORTH”:

I’m back where we broke

A lifetime ago

My clock’s still stuck right where it froze

The night your trail went cold

With a head full of ghosts

No one else close

Scared to the bone

With no one else to run from

All that’s buried here

I carry it everywhere

My arms too weak to keep an even pulse

Still I can’t stop holding on

With a head full of ghosts

No one else close

Scared to the bone

With no one else to run from

Heart full of holes

For what it’s worth

I couldn’t love you more

I came to take your place

And be the one who left that day

With both hands throwing ash into the flame

Like I don’t know it’s way too late

With a head full of ghosts

No one else close

Scared to the bone

With no one else to run from

Heart full of holes

For what it’s worth

I never loved you more

Seven Activities for Competitive Friends

If you don’t know the sore loser in your friendship group, chances are, it’s you. But that’s okay! Losing sucks, and it only means that you’re competitive.

While your competitive side might not be for everyone, there are plenty of activities you and like-minded friends can enjoy together so see who actually is the best.

Monopoly

Is there any game as intense as Monopoly? This game has the power to split up families when competitive people are involved. Everyone knows the layout, rules, and tactics, making it the perfect get-up-and-go game available for friends old and new.

Grab the board, head to the pub, or connect with players across the globe on online gaming platforms

Obstacle Courses

If you and your friends want to take the competition into the outdoors, to find out who would win in a survival of the fittest situation, an obstacle course is a great way to have fun while also testing your fitness skills. Whether you set up your own at a local park, or head to an existing course, you’re in for a tiring day. Whoever reaches the end in the shortest amount of time (without cheating) is the winner. You could even make a crown and buy a personalized medal.

Placing Sports Bets

Placing bets certainly ups the ante when it comes to competitiveness—as there’s the chance to win (or lose) money. If you want to get ahead, check out this Asian handicap betting guide to help you place winning bets every time. Head to the bar for a few drinks, or create a sweepstake for the next big tournament to see who’s the luckiest member of the crew.

Arcade Games

Retro games are some of the best ways to battle against friends. Whether it’s air hockey, Space Invaders or Mario Kart, rally up the group and head to the nearest arcade in your area for a great night of competition, fun, and inevitably, a little bit of losing.

Fortnite

Avid gamers can totally get lost in the world of Fortnite, and compete against local friends and those further away. The video game has taken the world by storm, so chances are you’ve already given it a go. But if not, it’s available for just about every gaming device!

Dodgems

If there’s a fair or carnival in town, there’s no better place to compete for the title of carnival king or queen. Head on over to the dodgems or test your strength on the high striker. Don’t forget to grab come candy floss on your way out!

Trivial Pursuit

For those who prefer a battle of the brains, Trivial Pursuit will have you competing for hours. You’ll all be quizzed on different topics to see who knows what, and—of course—who knows the most.

Hey, if you and your friends have tons of time to waste this summer, you might even be able to do all of these activities so that everyone can at least win once. That way, everyone can go home with no hard feelings, feeling like a winner and being smug about the losers.

Why you should invest in entertainment stocks

Entertainment, it’s something that human beings have sought after since day one. It’s something that we as a species simply crave and the more we can get of it, the better. Is it any wonder then that we now find ourselves in a hi-tech climate of YouTube videos and streaming services comprising hundreds of channels and shows? Theatre, art, music and shows – it all goes back thousands of years. We’ve certainly come a long way; a thousand years ago gladiators battled it out to the death, nowadays wrestlers combine actual combat skills with theatricalities and battle it out for money, celebrity and bragging rights.  The entertainment industry, as defined by the happenings of the twentieth century – the invention of film, cinemas, the Hollywood studio system, television, video machines, CD’s – have all led us to where we are today.  Bring in the real game changer of the last 30+ years, the internet, and it seems that change will continue to be inevitable. The point is, entertainment is an inherent need, bolstered by the technology of the day. It’s not going to disappear overnight and for that reason, it makes for an appealing investment option. With all this in mind, let us now look at some of the best entertainment stocks to invest in.

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS)

It would be impossible to speak about entertainment stock without speaking about the Walt Disney Company.  The house of mouse has come a long way, seen its fair share of ups and downs and now owns some of the most lucrative franchises in the entertainment industry. From its acquisition of LucasFilm and Marvel Entertainment to its acquisition of 20th Century Fox, Disney has built its empire by way of its own laurels and through a smart consolidation of power. Even now while the word still reels from the global situation of 2020, Disney has showcased its ability to survive and strive with a slew of high quality content on its Disney+ streaming service.

Nintendo (OTCMKTS:NTDOY)

Nintendo’s an interesting one; in its native country of Japan it’s traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, but in the US it’s traded on the OTC  (over-the-counter) market as ADRs (American depository receipts). In other words is falls into the world of shares, currencies, trading USD and GBP as an option, commodities and other financial instruments. Technicalities aside, Nintendo, like Disney, has walked a long road to become the multinational consumer electronics and video game company it is today. Over the years it’s faced off against the best of Sega, Microsoft and Sony to still maintain its dominance of the market. The global fallout of 2020 strengthened its share price as gaming on the whole experienced an upward trajectory and even though its share price has declined ever so slightly, in part because the Nintendo Switch is now considered a mature product,  Nintendo is the type of company that is ripe for long-term investing.

Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX)

To not speak of Netflix would be akin to not speaking about the big red elephant in the room of entertainment.  Not only has Netflix changed the traditional Hollywood system forever, it’s made its own mark of quality and enforced it. What started off as a DVD rental shipping company has become the biggest streaming company of the lot. Put another way, within a span of 10 years, Netflix’s share price went from $25 per share to $520 per share.  The global ramifications of 2020 worked in the company’s favour as many who were forced to stay indoors did so taking comfort in a slew of self-produced quality content. “Netflix and chill” is here to stay.

How is Zamsino getting more popular in Australia?

The popularity of online gambling has increased exponentially in Australia over the past decade. It is estimated that the industry will continue to grow in the next couple of years. Around 80% of Australians gamble often, and it’s mostly for fun. This country has plenty of gambling options like Zasmino Australia, which offers different games for players. According to various publications, the number of people gambling in Australia is more significant than any other country in the world.

With the rise of online gambling, the amount of money spent on it has become very high, with software developers continually improve the gaming experience for gamers. It has been stated that the rise of online gambling in Australia has been attributed to the country’s fully legalized gambling industry.

According to various studies conducted by researchers, Australians spend about 1288 US dollars per person on online gambling. We can also recognize the most popular games in different states: online poker, blackjack, etc. As for virtual bookmakers, they are also far from the last place, and their number increases gradually.

Full legalization of all gambling establishments in Australia has caused the demand for gambling in the country. It is good news for both online and ground-based gambling establishments. It will allow them to offer their customers a safer and more secure gaming experience.

The virtual versions of gambling have become more prevalent in recent years, and it is expected that the dominance will be retained. Australians spend 3% of their annual income on online gambling. The situation is getting out of control. All the money that was been won at online casinos should be converted into cash. Some of it should be used as plastic money.

Due to the current situation, virtual gambling operators will have to face the consequences in the future. The Australian Government has proposed various measures to prevent the spread of gambling in the country. Another problem with gambling is that it is a stable source of government revenue. In recent years, the topic of gambling has become more prevalent. It is due to the increasing number of people who have developed gambling addictions.

Online games have become more prevalent due to their availability, compatible software, and ease of use. Different types of bonuses and promotions like the not requiring a deposit are also desirable to other players. In today’s world, playing online slots games is as simple as accessing the Internet and is not costly as some people may presume, and a gamer quickly plays from the comfort of their home. Online casinos in Australia are beautiful for those who love to play the game of blackjack or roulette, among other games.

There are different reasons why Zamsino is getting popular in Australia and taking over the gambling industry, including;

The comfort of playing from your home

Initially, if you wanted to play for a few hundred AU$, you had to go to a land-based club and wait in line to buy chips. In Sydney, a gamer had to stand in line to register to buy playing chips and then take more time to select a gaming table, then start having their desired fun. With online casinos, things have changed for the better.

With the rise of online gambling, gamblers can now play both Blackjack and Poker in their home or any other place and not necessarily from a casino. Mobile casinos are top-rated online gambling sites because they allow players to start playing in an instant. It is also very beneficial for players who are new to online gambling. Security is fundamental when choosing a game portal, and to prevent any security breaches, always go for the casino with permitted operating licenses.

Get the generous bonuses offered

There are many reasons why mobile casinos are popular in Australia. One of these is the fact that they offer handsome bonuses like from Crikeyslot’s bonus list. To get the bonuses, one only needs to sign up to their favorite casino and follow the casino bonuses guidelines.

No deposit bonuses are not included or may be included in the welcome package or the special programs for existing customers. For a player to receive this particular bonus, one does not need to spend their money.

Always up to date with online casino news

Due to the wide variety of online gambling sites, it is straightforward for novice gamers to get started with online casinos. They understand who the leading players are, the best sites to select, and all relevant information. Real gamer’s reviews about the various games offered by casinos consist of valuable information sources at any time.

Classic games

Classic slots are prevalent in Australia. They have a simple interface and are very profitable. Most gamers joining the gambling world are encouraged to try slots gamer and try their gaming strategies and luck as they are easy to play and do not require many techniques.

Mobile gaming option

Online casinos allow us to play our favorite games wherever we are. Just go to the website and play while at any location. It could be at your friend’s house, shopping mall, or the part; in short, there are no location limitations.

Smartphones have become very popular in Australia. People use them all the time as they are easy to carry around, and a gamer can place their bets at any time. Most gamers today use their mobile phones to place their bets as compared to their computers.

Safety is guaranteed

After choosing your favorite gaming platform, always remember to look out if the casino is legit. Legit casinos have the relevant licenses and offer certified games as per the gaming regulations. The money transaction methods must also be trusted and commonly used in the country. Something else to always look out for is the customer service offered by a casino.

In conclusion, between land-based and virtual casinos, which is your top choice? If you want to enjoy our gaming experiences at home, then a virtual casino is your place to go. However, if you’re going to interact with real people and get guidance from well-trained people, then a land-based casino is your place to go.

MILES – MOSH PIT

SINGER-RAPPER MILES UNVEILS TIMELY NEW SINGLE MOSH PIT ALONGSIDE OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO

Elektra Records artist MILES has unveiled his timely new single MOSH PIT, available now on all DSPS and streaming services. The track arrives alongside an official music video available now on his official YouTube channel. With many people not having been to a show in over a year and craving live music, the well-timed track hears MILES “Fiendin’ for the show” while the official video, directed by Nicholas Jandora (24kGoldn, Lil Skies, Bankrol Hayden) and co-concepted by MILES himself, sees him jamming to a Rock Band-type video game and eventually getting transported into a mosh pit.

“MOSH PIT” follows the St. Louis-born/Los Angeles-based singer-rapper’s latest track “Desperados,” which marked his official debut for Elektra Records. Pulling inspiration from the 1995 Robert Rodriguez film Desperado, the official music video was shot in the Southern California desert and explores the life of a modern outlaw.

MILES’ story so far engenders such enthusiasm. The St. Louis native grew up singing and naturally gravitated towards music inspired by everyone from Lil Wayne and Chance the Rapper to Charlie Puth and Khalid in high school. Admitted to prestigious Dartmouth College on a football scholarship, he quietly uploaded music to Soundcloud and gradually made waves online. Leaving school, he wound up in Los Angeles and dropped a series of independent singles, culminating on the viral “WHAT IN TARNATION.” Nearly 3,000 Tik Tok videos utilized the track as he generated just shy of 7 million total streams

MILES brings hip-hop grit to pop with deft wordplay and dusty soundscapes. Named after Miles Davis, he possessed a predisposition for music fueled by listening to everything from dad’s jazz records, Kirk Franklin, and Bill Withers to Lauryn Hill, Wiz Khalifa, and Travis Scott. He honed his vocals through constantly singing before beginning to freestyle in high school. At the same time, he excelled on the football field, earning a scholarship to Dartmouth College as a defensive tackle. In between a grueling Ivy league schedule of practice and class, he still managed to maintain a prolific output of independent music online. Picking up steam, he left school, moved to L.A., and crashed at YouTuber Justin Escalona’s pad. On a weekly basis, he appeared in vlogs and released music at a rapid pace, logging millions of streams and quickly building a fanbase, including over 385K followers on TikTok alone in just 3 months. In 2020, he ignited the viral “WHAT IN TARNATION,” attracting 2,700 Tik Tok videos and drumming up 6.3 million streams. On the heels of its success, he inked a deal with Elektra Records and rustled up his formal debut for the label “Desperados” with much more to come.

LIL MOE 6BLOCKA x ROOGA

CHICAGO’S LIL MOE 6Blocka AND ROOGA TEAM UP ON SCRAPPERS MIXTAPE, SET FOR JULY 23 RELEASE

New Single and Video, “No Love,” Out Today

Today, Lil Moe 6Blocka and Rooga announce the release date for their SCRAPPERS mixtape – set for July 23 – and share their new single,“No Love.” The two Chicago rappers go bar for bar on the melodic track, with Rooga teaching Moe a better way to navigate life and Moe sparking a renewed hustle in his friend as they contemplate the changes they’ve seen in their hometown. Listen to “No Love,” which was produced by RellyMade (Lil Tjay, Pop Smoke), HERE.

“Lil Moe taught me to never give up. He just hopped in and it happened for him. I’ve been pushing harder off how he’s moving,” says Rooga, a lynchpin of the Chicago rap scene since the release of his acclaimed 2016 tape, I Am Scrapp. After losing too many loved ones to gun violence, Rooga became a community activist. 16-year-old Moe, a disciple of drill rap who spits bars with unparalleled charisma, has established himself as the voice of a new generation in Chicago. A friend and collaborator of the late rapper Dooski, Moe has released high-octane hits like “Risky” (named one of “the best hip-hop songs of 2021” by HipHopDx and later making waves with a remix featuring 22Gz), “Leave Em Stretched,” “Nothin,” and “Ion Know.”

Moe and Rooga have taken different paths, but they’ve come to the same conclusion: Rap is both the best way to remember those they’ve lost, and to try to prevent that pain from happening again. The official video for “No Love,” which premiered earlier today on Moe’s YouTube channel, finds the pair in the backseat of a car, reminiscing about the friends they’ve lost as they’re driven through the gates of a cemetery. Flashing back to the pivotal moment when a friend is shot brings home the song’s central message – “The hood ain’t what it was now/Ain’t no love now.” Yet in the midst of their sorrow, they pray for better days. View the emotional video, which was directed by Taylor Johnson and Joi Loggins, HERE.

SCRAPPERS is a powerful testament to the importance of mentorship, and features a blend of stirring drill beats, earworm melodies and an easy rapport that demonstrates the strength of their connection. Released last month, the first single, “Get You Wacked,” was produced by C-Sick, one of the pioneering producers of the Windy City’s drill scene. Bristling with bravado and sly wordplay, it announces the duo’s auspicious arrival and establishes them as a force to be reckoned with. Download/stream “Get You Wacked” HERE. View the official video, which has amassed over half a million views, HERE.

The mixtape’s title is multi-faceted metaphor. It’s a nod of respect to Rooga’s little brother “Scrapp” and others they’ve lost – heartbreaking experiences that have left Moe and Rooga as the “scraps,” the remaining fragments. And it’s about scrapping – doing what you need to do to overcome.
