QUIN NFN AND LIL2Z “BACK AND BETTER” from Hannah Haines for use by 360 Magazine

QUIN NFN × LIL2Z – BACK AND BETTER

Today, Austin, Texas rapper Quin NFN releases his latest single “Back And Better,” featuring Lil 2Z, available now via 10K Projects. Following the success of their YouTube hit “Sewed Up,” released in April 2020, which has amassed over 11M streams and counting, Quin NFN and Lil 2Z’s “Back And Better” acts as a reunion for the two rising stars and a surprise treat for fans.

The first song Quin ever made was a remix of a track by Chicago’s teenage drill rapper Lil Mouse. The song earned him a local buzz in his neighborhood and Austin at large, as the city began to take notice of the then-15-year-old who was just beginning to make noise. His momentum only grew when he released the video for “Gametime Pt. 2,” a track that finds Quin at his most aggressive, and promoted the clip on the SayCheese platform. Quin stayed consistent while maneuvering the pitfalls of Austin’s small scene and, a year later, he shared a snippet of the song that would change his life. Within days, the video for “Talkin’ My Shit,” a bass-heavy dose of Quin’s charisma and swagger, went viral, and his promise to his mom became a guarantee.

After signing with Elliot Grange’s 10K Projects in 2019, Quin released his debut album 4NUN, with features from PnB Rock and NLE Choppa. The project, which has garnered over 115 million U.S. streams since its release, found Quin challenging himself to push his rowdy sound further. But his latest project QUINCHO, out March 27, is a full-on showcase of his impressive versatility. Though he makes sure to still deliver turn-up anthems, like the rambunctious single “Ok Cool,” Quin also leans into his melodic bag to deliver catchy tracks like “All Blue.”

Despite all his success, Quin still lives in Austin, where he can be near his mom and where he’s most comfortable. He wants to be an example of how to handle growing rap fame for those that come after him in Austin, something he had to learn largely on his own. “I don’t really feel like I had a chance to look back and reflect on everything yet,” he says. Given how quickly he blew up, Quin says he’s now focused on mastering his craft. “There’s still a whole lot of stuff I’m learning and trying to perfect,” he says. “But I get better every time I go to the studio.”

Rolls-Royce Tail Bovet Gentlemans Timepiece provided by Gerry Spahn and Rolls-Royce for use by 360 MAGAZINE.

Rolls- Royce x BOVET 1822

The clock in a Rolls-Royce motor car frequently assumes a jewel-like status, often becoming a canvas for the client to tell the story of their commission in miniature. For Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, the recently unveiled first of three coachbuilt creations, in which every element has been created to the owners’ exact specifications, this iconic centrepiece has been elevated to new technical and aesthetic heights.

In a spirit of warm collaboration, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and Swiss master watchmakers, BOVET 1822, have created a pair of unique timepieces for Boat Tail and its owners. This ambitious undertaking brought together designers, engineers and craftspeople from both luxury houses, in a magnificent demonstration of their shared values of excellence, precision, heritage, artistry, innovation and attention to detail.

The timepieces are unique to both the horological and automotive worlds. Made as a pair – in lady’s and gentleman’s versions – they are reversible, and housed in BOVET 1822’s patented Amadeo case, which allows them to be worn on the wrist, or used as a table clock, pendant or pocket-watch, as well as being placed front and centre in Boat Tail’s fascia as the motor car’s own timepiece. Both are fitted with tourbillon mechanisms to ensure perfect accuracy.

BOVET 1822 initially earned its reputation making luxury pocket-watches for wealthy patrons in China; today, it is renowned worldwide for its exquisite timepieces featuring hand-painted dials, detailed engraving and finely finished visible mechanisms.

The timepieces created for this first iteration of Boat Tail have specially designed 18K white gold cases and feature matching front dials with the same Caleidolegno veneer found on the aft deck of Boat Tail itself, and are finished with the owner-couples’ names. The gentleman’s timepiece is highly polished; the lady’s is ornately engraved then filled with blue lacquer.

On the reverse side, the dials are more individual. The gentleman’s features an aventurine dial with the celestial arrangement of the night sky over the place of his birth on his birth date; the lady’s is decorated with an ornate miniature painting of a flower bouquet on a mother-of-pearl dial. This design is a traditional BOVET 1822 motif, chosen by and personalised for the owner.

Both reverse dials have hand-engraved Bespoke sculptures of Boat Tail, complete with wheels, door handle, mirrors and other fine details. By working closely together, the teams at Rolls-Royce and BOVET 1822 were able to achieve a precise colour match between the lacquer on this tiny work of art and the full-size motor car.

Further close cooperation was required to ensure the timepieces conformed to the demands of their unique role as motor car clocks. In watchmaking, weight is rarely an issue for a complex timepiece, but in this instance, there was a limit on the combined permissible weight of the timepieces and their holders. BOVET 1822 met this requirement by creating an entirely new 44mm white gold case. In addition, the timepieces and holders also had to be tested to automotive-industry standards for vibration and crash safety – something never previously undertaken on mechanisms of this kind.

At a conservative estimate, the timepieces’ design, engineering, sculptures, miniature painting, marquetry, bespoke movements and cases took a total of 3,000 hours to complete.

When a pocket-watch is left static in one position for any length of time, the effect of gravity on key moving parts can impair its accuracy. At the end of the 18th Century, watchmakers solved this problem by developing the tourbillon, where the escapement and balance wheel are mounted in a cage that slowly revolves, cancelling out the gravitational effect. In a wristwatch, the wearer’s natural physical movements diminish the need for the tourbillon. However, when that same timepiece is mounted vertically in a car dashboard for many hours at a time, the tourbillon truly comes into its own.

BOVET 1822 is a specialist in tourbillion timepieces, for which it holds a number of patents and has received many awards including the Aiguille d’Or, watchmaking’s highest honour. It is also one of the only companies in the watch industry to manufacture its own spirals and regulating organs. To reduce potential impact from the vibration from the car, the tourbillon has pivots rather than the traditional ball bearings; a heavier balance wheel and an increased oscillation rate to aid precision. Finally, the tourbillon bridge is finished with a miniaturised Spirit of Ecstasy handcrafted in gold.

The timepieces have an astonishing five-day power reserve, rather than the 42-48 hours of a ‘standard’ watch, to allow for their role as motor car clocks.

The holder mechanism is unique to Rolls-Royce Boat Tail and was designed by BOVET 1822 engineers and the Rolls-Royce Coachbuild design team from a blank sheet of paper. Although in a Rolls-Royce vibration is naturally reduced to an absolute minimum – undetectable vibrations are inevitably still present. This highly complex mounting assembly serves to isolate the timepieces from these micro-vibrations. It also ensures they operate silently, are easy to mount and remove from the dashboard and, above all, remain safe and secure.

These challenges were unlike any normally encountered in watchmaking and car manufacture. From the start, BOVET 1822 was determined to follow a purely mechanical approach in keeping with its tradition of Swiss handcrafted production. The engineers’ innovative solution was to keep all the system’s moving parts external, with the dashboard providing a solid setting for the holder. Finally, Rolls-Royce ensured that when the holder is not housing one of the time pieces, it can be covered with a beautiful engraved and lacquered display plaque.  Below the clock, the dashboard is fitted with a special drawer, lined with the same leather as Boat Tail’s seats, which serves as a safekeeping receptacle to house the timepieces, straps, chain and pendant when not in use.

LEGO Lamborghini Replica

Automobili Lamborghini in collaboration with the LEGO Group has built a life-size replica of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, using over 400,000 LEGO® Technic™ elements. Following the launch of the 1:8 scale LEGO® Technic™ Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 last year, this life-size model replicates the limited-edition Italian super sportscar on a much grander scale. Using 154 different types of LEGO elements, including 20 moulded specifically for this project, the 2,200 kg model embodies the unmistakeable design of the Lamborghini Sián down to the most minute details, perfectly mirroring the car’s dimensions to the millimetre.

“Lamborghini is a dream for people around the world, and LEGO products provide creative inspiration for millions,” said Stephan Winkelmann President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “We’re delighted to have collaborated on this unique edition of the Lamborghini Sián, that will catch the imagination of Lamborghini and LEGO fans alike.”

The collaboration between the two companies’ designers, engineers and technicians, took a team of 15 people 8,660 hours of development work and painstaking construction. The proportion-perfect chassis is identical to the real-life Sián at 4,980 mm long, 2,101 mm wide and 1,133 mm high. The body panels are comprised of an intricate fabric of bespoke interconnecting hexagonal LEGO Technic elements, paying homage to the six-sided shape that is integral to Lamborghini’s design language. The Sián’s name, meaning ‘flash’ or ‘lightning’ in Bolognese dialect, is honored by the LEGO Group’s experts who have ensured that the lights, built entirely from Technic elements, and the sleek lightning bolt that flashes along the body, reflect how the real Sián’s epsilon headlights and hexagonal taillights power up and down. Inside the cockpit the detail continues with a brick-built steering wheel featuring the Lamborghini emblem and Italian flag, LEGO built dashboard controls and racing seats.

This is the first large-scale model from the LEGO Group to have a paintbrush-effect UV colour coating. The colour, which is a perfect match to the 1:8 scale LEGO Technic model, was applied by Automobili Lamborghini’s paint shop.

Lena Dixen, Senior Vice President of Product and Marketing at the LEGO Group said: “Our designers love a challenge, so you can imagine their delight when we tasked them to think slightly larger than normal with this model. They jumped at the chance of teaming up with our amazing designers and engineers who build these impressive life-sized models at our Kladno factory’s model production workshop in the Czech Republic, and really pushing the boundaries of what can be done with LEGO Technic. The creativity that the system allows meant it was possible to really do justice to the exceptional design of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37.”

In a first-of-its-kind virtual unveiling from the LEGO Group, the model has been rebuilt in a virtual LEGO workshop to give Lamborghini enthusiasts and LEGO lovers the chance to get up close and personal with the full-scale version. Viewers can make their dreams come true by getting behind the wheel of the 1:8 scale edition before being ‘transformed’ along with the model into the full-scale replica revealed today. They can sit virtually in the driver’s seat and hear from the Automobili Lamborghini and LEGO Group designers who made this model a reality.

Bitcoin And Online Casinos

Is Bitcoin a viable payment method for online casinos?

There are many payment methods that can be used at online casinos. Bitcoin is being accepted by a growing number of online gambling sites. Bitcoin never seems to be out of the papers these days, so is it a viable payment method for use at an online casino?

The mere fact that online casinos are accepting Bitcoin as a payment method speaks volumes. It is not going to be helpful to anyone if a payment method employed by them is going to cause big problems.

These online casinos will have put a great deal of thought into whether to allow the use of Bitcoin or not. It’s not an overnight decision. A great deal of thought has been put into their decision, and the fact they allow Bitcoin’s use should be seen as a huge vote of confidence in the cryptocurrency.

One site that supports this cryptocurrency is Bitcoin Games online casino. It’s important to do some research before joining any site. Taking a good look at a Bitcoin Games review is helpful. This review gives you plenty of information about the site.

Safety is so important when it comes to online payments. There is still a fair amount of financial fraud that takes place, and of which no one wants to become a victim. Bitcoin can help in this area because of the way it operates as a currency.

Unlike with a credit or debit card, there is no central bank in play with Bitcoin. It is the person who makes the financial transaction that owns the Bitcoin being used. The amount of personal information being made available to possible fraudsters is always a worry with banks, but that’s not the case if you are using Bitcoin. The fraudsters will be upset when realizing they can’t get their hands on your currency. The customer and the online casino itself will be impressed with this situation.

Another worry is that your bank account might be frozen. If you are using a debit or credit card for your financial transactions, it will cause you major problems. However, Bitcoin avoids these issues due to that lack of a central bank.

It’s not just a central bank that is absent. Furthermore, there’s no government to deal with this currency, though the Chinese government are doing their best to warn people off its use. Online sites will be happy that there’s no government to deal with, another reason they like using Bitcoin. There’s no taxation either and transactions cannot be reversed.

There are some disadvantages with Bitcoin, but that can be said of any payment method. How many times do you hear people moaning about their bank or PayPal? The main problem with Bitcoin is how its value can be volatile. That’s common with any relatively new currency and will hopefully settle down in the future. However, that’s more of a worry for those investing with Bitcoin. Just using Bitcoin to gamble online is a much better and safer way of using it.

Joan Amratrading Image provided by Leo Lavoro and BMG for use by 360 MAGAZINE.

Joan Armatrading x Consequences

Following the exceptional fan reception to her first single “Already There”- Joan Armatrading returns with a new offering from her upcoming album Consequences, scheduled for release June 18 (Digital) and August 13 (CD/LP) in the U.S. via BMG.

“Like” is an upbeat, playful and feel-good album track that lands in the hands of fans just in time for summer.

Joan also shares the news that she will be supporting the release of her new album with an exclusive global livestream for fans: ‘Joan Armatrading with Band – Live from London’, streaming at 8PM GMT on July 31, 2021. The only way to see Joan Armatrading perform in her only live concert of 2021 will be to purchase tickets to this one-off, multi-camera event featuring Joan accompanied by bass, drums, keyboards and saxophone, broadcast across multiple time zones to accommodate audiences globally. Performing a stunning set of fan favorites including “Me Myself I”, “Drop the Pilot” and “Love And Affection” – PLUS some of her very latest new music from upcoming album Consequences, the show will give fans a chance to experience fresh new tracks and beloved classics alike, all in the beautiful setting of the Asylum Chapel in London.

Joan’s 22 studio album to date, Consequences ably demonstrates the fact that Joan Armatrading never likes to repeat herself; it is a very different follow up to 2018’s UK Top 30 hit album Not Too Far Away, and is one of her most intimate and direct albums yet, wearing its conscience and heart on its sleeve.

Of course the change of musical pace will come as no surprise to Joan’s many legions of worldwide fans since she has always been a pioneer in what she does – ever since the release of her first album in 1972 when her then record company, by their own admission, had little idea of how to present her, being so outside the norm. It should also be remembered that Joan Armatrading was the very first female singer/songwriter from the UK to have international success with the songs she wrote and performed.

Recently made a CBE (from an MBE) and awarded an Ivor Novello Fellowship, Joan has also recently received a lifetime achievement award from Women of the year as well as a similar Americana lifetime one. Joan Armatrading is always inventive and her skill set is exemplary.

With her heartfelt, direct and melodic trademark vocal style and lyrics that tell it exactly how it is and a strong rhythmic flow throughout, Consequences is an album of some surprises for sure but couched in a passionate intensity – while the subject matter, love in its many guises, is an intrinsically intimate topic this is not an album about Joan herself but rather, as with all her work, one written from observation, with lyrics that people can make their own and apply to their own circumstances.

Consequences in CD, vinyl and digital format is comprised of 10 tracks in total, all written, performed and produced by Armatrading.

Medical marijuana is attaining a growing preference to manage severe pain as well as chronic pain. Anyone with a legit marijuana med card can procure medical marijuana, provided it is legal in their place of residence.

What do studies suggest?

Statistical data and research have shown that pain caused by various conditions, including endometriosis, can be managed using medical marijuana. It gives confidence that the treatment can also be beneficial for cramps and pelvic pain associated with menstruation. The first thing that needs to be kept in mind is that marijuana is a complex mixture of more than 100 different types of compounds that are known as cannabinoids. These are absorbed by the body when either they are eaten or inhaled. These go directly to the brain and produce different kinds of reactions within the body. The body has got cannabinoid receptors to which naturally occurring compounds called endocannabinoids attach. Cannabinoids can attach to these receptors. The endocannabinoid system has shown significant involvement in the role of regulating pain and inflammation. Among these 100 different types of compounds, the two most well-known are THC and CBD. THC or Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol produces the typical high feeling associated with cannabis whereas, CBD or Cannabidiol doesn’t.

The most important thing about the efficacy of any treatment is research data. Modern medical science dwells on the premises of research data. It further validates the use and effectiveness of any treatment on the same. Needless to say, marijuana was not considered as a forerunner in the case of medicinal use, and thus proper research data is not widely available. Having said this, it is worth considering that marijuana has been used for a long time in gynecology. Sir John Russel Reynolds, who was the personal physician of Queen Victoria, used to prescribe hemp tincture to the queen to alleviate her menstrual cramps back in the late-19th century. The process by which medical marijuana may be able to control menstrual cramps is ill-understood. The pain and cramps during menstruation are caused by the release of certain inflammatory compounds called prostaglandins. When excessive amounts of prostaglandins are produced it causes severe pain. The usual treatment for menstrual cramps is the prescription of NSAIDs or Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The NSAIDs work by blocking the production of prostaglandins. They do it by binding with COX receptors in the brain and other tissues. In the case of cannabinoids like THC and CBD, there is no such interaction with COX receptors. So, they do not have any effect on the production of prostaglandins. They are known to stimulate the production of the hormone dopamine. Dopamine hormone is also known as the “feel-good” hormone. They also reduce the inflammation in nerves and the joints.

How does it work?

The ability of THC or CBD in increasing the production of dopamine and reducing inflammation in nerves and joints shows efficacy in the reduction of chronic pain conditions like neuropathic pain and rheumatoid arthritis. The inability of medical marijuana to affect the production of prostaglandins has clouded the minds of researchers and doctors as to how they may be beneficial in the management of menstrual cramps. There is one concept that the euphoria or high of THC may affect nullifying the sensation of pain to some extent. However, the effect of CBD is unknown.

The safety of using medical marijuana is something that is debated quite often. The reason behind this is long-term researches are yet to provide any decisive conclusion on this. Most people assume that the use of marijuana for a long time is safe. However, the National Institute of Drug Abuse advises against arriving at any such conclusions because such consequences of using marijuana over a long period are still unknown. It is a fact that medical marijuana products like CBD oils, extracts, and tinctures are still sold as a form of alternative medicine. Thus they sometimes do contain unknown ingredients. The dosage list on the product may also not be accurate many times, owing to the product being sold as an alternative therapy. Considering all these factors, medical marijuana in its inhaled form should not be used by the following people as per the advisory from NIDA or the National Institute of Drug Abuse.

  • People who are not yet 25 years old.
  • People who have a history of psychosis or strong evidence of others in the family suffering from the ailment.
  • If there is a history of cannabis use disorder. This may be a current issue or may have happened in the past as well.
  • If the person is known for engaging in substance abuse.
  • Any person who suffers from either cardiac diseases or pulmonary disorders.
  • Any woman who is either pregnant or is planning pregnancy.

One more thing that women need to keep in mind is there is no conclusive research done on the effect of cannabis as far as pregnancy is concerned. Thus it is in the best interest of women who are of reproductive age to avoid cannabis altogether. There is no proven impact of cannabis on the fetus. But, the fetal brain does possess cannabinoid receptors. Hence, the use of cannabis by the mother may impact the child’s mental development in later years. The last thing that pregnant women must remember is that overuse of cannabis when they are pregnant may increase chances of pregnancy loss through the overstimulation of cannabinoid receptors in the lining of the uterus.

Through the discussion, it is evident that the use of medical marijuana may have helped in the reduction of menstrual cramps and pain. However, the risk associated must be considered carefully. Overall, marijuana has been known to be relatively low risk and thus may be consumed in moderation. Effects should be monitored carefully to understand how helpful it is in reducing the problems.

The New Bugatti Chiron Super Sport

With a low-slung front, special aerodynamic shape at the sides and an extended rear for peak performance, it is clear at first sight that the new Bugatti Chiron Super Sport has been designed without compromise for optimal aerodynamic performance. Bugatti engineers developed the new hyper sports car for top speed while fully embracing both luxury and comfort.

“With the Chiron Super Sport, we are following our long-standing tradition of combining top speed with absolute luxury,” says Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti. “The Chiron Super Sport stands for increased comfort and elegance coupled with even greater performance and higher speeds. With this new creation, we established another distinct personality within the Chiron family. It is the essence of what we learned and developed in recent years – the ultimate grand tourer.” The Chiron Super Sport embodies a part of Bugatti’s broad spectrum of performance – a counterpart to the Chiron Pur Sport,3 which was made for cornering and lateral agility.

Bugatti developed a new vehicle design with optimized aerodynamics for the Chiron Super Sport’s streamlined bodywork. The new Chiron Super Sport is an uncompromising reincarnation of the Bugatti design mantra, ‘form follows performance.’ From the front splitter to the rear diffuser, every centimeter of its skin is designed for top speed.

At speeds over 420 km/h, a vehicle must offer sufficient downforce alongside minimal drag. “Our aim was to give the vehicle a neutral setup at its top speed while also giving it as streamlined a shape as possible.” explains Frank Heyl, Deputy Design Director at Bugatti. The uplift forces exerted on the bodywork at 440 km/h are immense. The body of the Chiron Super Sport generates massive downforce to counter this uplift and perfectly balance the forces. “The design process was therefore in particular about achieving aerodynamic efficiency,” Heyl continues. The Chiron Super Sport’s extended rear, which is known as a long tail, gives it new proportions and very distinctive aesthetics. An optional, new, horizontal color split visually extends the proportions of the Chiron Super Sport even further, making the hyper sports car appear even lower.

For aerodynamic performance, the rear has grown by approximately 25 centimeters to hold the laminar flow to the bodywork for as long as possible. Bugatti designers also enlarged the diffuser cross-section, pushing the diffuser’s trailing edge higher and thereby reducing the rear’s trailing surface by 44 percent. As a result, the slipstream and wind resistance generated are significantly reduced – factors which otherwise decelerate the vehicle. A welcome benefit of these technical modifications is that the rear is afforded even better proportions and is both wider and lower-slung. The long tail helps to keep the laminar air flow attached to the body for as long as possible.

Even from afar, the Chiron Super Sport is unmistakable due to its repositioned tailpipe configuration. To boost the effect of the diffuser and give it more space, Bugatti has shifted the otherwise central exhaust system to the side, with the pipes aligned vertically. The exhaust system also sounds deeper and richer. “If we can generate downforce with the diffuser, there is no need for us to generate it with the drag inducing wings. This means we can retract the wing as far as possible in Top Speed mode for a drive with minimal drag,” explains Frank Heyl.

The front therefore has to be perfect, too, to achieve seamless airflow over the bodywork. On the Chiron Super Sport, features like side air curtains alongside the air intakes result in improved airflow from the front to the wheel arches, keeping it as close to the side of the vehicle. “This minimizes drag and improves the flow of air over the side radiators,” explains Frank Heyl. The new, focused facial expression with inclined headlamps and the modern design language fit perfectly with the aggressive character of the Chiron Super Sport.

The nine exhaust air holes on each fender are more than just a nod to the Bugatti EB 110 Super Sport – they also serve to release the air pressure from the front wheel wells, thereby generating streamlined downforce at the front axle. Additional outlets behind the front wheel arches likewise help to balance out the aerodynamic loads.

For even greater exclusivity, new aluminum wheels in a five-Y-spoke design are available only for the Chiron Super Sport. These new Super Sport wheels are also available in a diamond-cut option. The Chiron Pur Sport’s iconic magnesium wheels, which further reduce the weight of the unsprung mass, are also available as an option.

The interior is a combination of timeless elegance and comfort beyond compare. It is a blend of natural elements like leather and polished aluminum, together with high-tech carbon fiber applications. This is an interior perfectly suited to high-speed continental trips.

With a strong focus on technical maxims during development, the demands made of the new hyper sports car are exacting. Even at top speeds of up to 440 km/h, it must be effortless and safe to control.

Bugatti thoroughly overhauled the 8.0-liter W16 engine for the Chiron Super Sport, boosting its performance by 100 PS to 1,176 kW/1,600 PS. At the same time, the vehicle weight was reduced by a further 23 kilograms. The engineers made modifications to the turbochargers, oil pump, and cylinder head with valve train, as well as to the transmission and clutch. “We increased the revolutions per minute (RPM) for even greater longitudinal acceleration and an even more emotive driving experience,” says Michael Kodra, Head of Drive Development at Bugatti. The engine’s rpm was increased by 300 to up to 7,100 rpm, for noticeably increased agility. 1,600 newton meters of torque is now accessible from between 2,000 and 7,000 rpm, rather than up to 6,000 rpm.

With the improved performance created by larger turbochargers with more efficient compressor wheels, the seven-gear dual-clutch transmission at full load and full speed transitions from sixth to seventh gear at 403 km/h. The Chiron Super Sport accelerates from 0 to 200 km/h in 5.8 seconds and to 300 km/h in 12.1 seconds. The Chiron Super Sport accelerates from 0 to 400 km/h seven percent quicker than a Chiron. Seventh gear boasts 3.6 percent longer transmission.

In order to achieve seamless acceleration at full throttle, boost pressure must remain close to maximum while the hyper sports car rapidly builds momentum and reaches its optimal speed. When changing gear, the pressure dips only very briefly for a mere 0.3 seconds, to then return to full boost pressure of 2.8 bar to fill the Chiron Super Sport’s W16 engine. “In spite of the immense power and the enormous longitudinal acceleration, the Chiron Super Sport offers a comfortable, quiet, and balanced drive,” explains Michael Kodra. Even above 6,000 rpm, acceleration doesn’t diminish, giving the Chiron Super Sport a mighty thrust up to 7,100 rpm. “The attributes of this engine are a perfect fit for the fastest Chiron.” says Michael Kodra.

Bugatti developed a new chassis specifically for the Chiron Super Sport’s high speeds and new aerodynamics. The steering systems and dampers create a firmer and more rigid connection to the vehicle from the driving feel, resulting in tighter steering for smoother steering movements. Harder springs stabilize the entire vehicle at top speed, and the engineers additionally also retuned the electronically controlled chassis. It regulates the settings in real-time in a matter of six milliseconds and adapts to the driving behavior. There is a choice of four driving modes – EB, Handling, Autobahn, and Top Speed.

With the extended rear and modified front, the Chiron Super Sport achieves balanced aerodynamics at top speed. “Even on long bends taken at high speeds, the rear remains calm and neutral, resulting in a very composed drive in the Chiron Super Sport. Our focus at top speed is on absolute driving stability coupled with comfort,” explains Jachin Schwalbe, Head of Chassis Development at Bugatti. This unwavering directional stability together with the quietness and rigidity of the steering and noticeably increased performance make the Chiron Super Sport unique.

Newly developed Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires which have been optimized for top speed offer greater rigidity and smoothness than grip-optimized tires fitted to the Chiron Pur Sport. What’s more, these are the only tires that can consistently drive at up to 500 km/h. This is made possible by reinforced belts that can cope with immense forces – verified on the test bench originally built for the Space Shuttle. Every tire is x-rayed following production in order to rule out even the most minuscule of irregularities.

“We tweaked all possible parameters when developing the chassis in order to achieve the best possible setup for immense acceleration as well as the unique Bugatti luxury and comfort experience,” explains Jachin Schwalbe. “In comparison to the Chiron Pur Sport, which, as a free-revving vehicle with transverse dynamics offers a great deal of downforce up to 350 km/h, the Chiron Super Sport remains very neutral and quiet even above this in the uppermost speed ranges. This vastly increases the feeling of safety,” he explains. The result: extremely precise handling that the driver can predict together with confident steering and a quiet bodywork.

The new Chiron Super Sport joins the ranks of some famous Bugatti predecessors. Bugatti first unveiled the Type 55 Super Sport at the Paris Motor Show in 1931. The grand tourer combined thoroughbred race car technology with the comfort of a sophisticated two-seater. With the help of a compressor, the 2.3-liter eight-cylinder engine delivered up to 160 PS and accelerated the Type 55 Super Sport to over 180 km/h. A number of the bodywork versions were designed by the young and talented Jean Bugatti, and only 38 vehicles were produced up to 1935.

Bugatti didn’t construct the next version of the Super Sport until 1993 to 1995. 39 of the EB 110 Super Sport were produced. The EB 110 was once again all about lightweight construction, performance, luxury, and exclusivity, and became the best super sports car of its age. It was the first super sports car with a carbon fiber bodywork, all-wheel drive, and four turbochargers. The V12 turbocharged engine delivered more than 610 PS and set multiple records in the EB 110 Super Sport, including a record speed of 351 km/h.

Two decades later, Bugatti brought the Super Sport back to life again. The Veyron 16.4 Super Sport boasting 1,200 PS broke the speed record in 2010 with a speed of 431.2 km/h, thereby securing a spot in the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s fastest road-legal series sports car – a record which it held for many years. This is the only Veyron model to feature NACA ducts rather than the typical large air intakes and the only model on which the engine is largely covered. Bugatti developed the horizontal color split specifically for the Veyron 16.4 Super Sport.

History then repeated itself in summer 2019 when Bugatti exceeded the threshold of 300 mph with the Chiron Super Sport 300+, with the record-breaking vehicle hitting an incredible speed of 304.773 mph (490.484 km/h). This served as the basis for a few-off model of just 30 units featuring a similar design and color elements.

Bugatti will soon begin with the manufacture of the Chiron Super Sport in Molsheim, France. Delivery of the hyper sports cars with a price tag of 3.2 million euros (net) is scheduled to start early 2022.
