Auction includes an NFT with a private dinner with Michelle Phillips and friends.

Michelle Phillips, the vocalist behind the Mamas & the Papas, songwriter, actress, and model is auctioning her original California Girl memorabilia and her videotaped hand drawn group image through ViciNFT through June 29. In support of charity, funds go to The Painted Turtle, which offers its flagship Camp for Kids with serious medical conditions.

The video of the original drawing, the digital drawing will be included in the NFT and the original will be presented to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  There are 10 identical NFTs each for a minimum price of $10,000 dollars. For concierge bidding for those who buy via US Dollars and credit cards contact five@vicinft.com

Each successful initial bidder receives an invitation to have dinner at PASTINA in Westwood California, with Michelle Phillips and her friends at her favorite restaurant on September 21, 2021.  Winning bidders can each bring one guest. Also attending will be CEO of The Painted Turtle and the Director of Development.  Dinner will be hosted and attended by the members of ViciNFT.

Regarding the auction, Michelle Phillips said: I am delighted to be able to help so many children through these auctions. She added regarding the dinner with Michelle Phillips & Friends, I am hoping Lou Adler and several of my other friends will join the special dinner that will be held for the winning bidders on September 2021 at my favorite Italian restaurant PASTINA in Westwood California.

Bill Gladstone, Partner in ViciNFT Corporation, said, Michelle represents the essence of the California musical and cultural transformation of the 1960s which has impacted the world for more than fifty years. He added, These NFTs will increase in value as icons of this era.

While working as a model in San Francisco, Michelle met and married John Phillips in 1962 and went on to co-found the vocal group the Mamas and the Papas in 1965. The band rose to fame with their popular singles California Dreamin’ and Creeque Alley, both of which she co-wrote. Her original California Girl memorabilia is digitized in a digital collectible, including her original signature and a fabulous hand drawn portrait of the Mamas and the Papas. The NFT also includes a video of the making of the drawing and signature, along with a dedicated message to the winning bidder.

The Painted Turtle began as a dream in 1999 when Paul Newman and Page Adler, along with a group of other dedicated individuals, co-founded The Painted Turtle to let kids with medical conditions just be kids. Through the ongoing commitment of these individuals, many of whom sit on our board today, the dream of The Painted Turtle became a reality.

Lou Adler legendary music producer said, Michelle Phillips’ beauty and attitude was and is the image of the original “California Girl” and the harmony she has brought to the world through her involvement in music is matched only by the kindness she has shown for those in need.

Adler added, Fortunately, The Painted Turtle is one of the recipients of that kindness. Michelle Phillips’ NFT which includes a whimsical drawing of the Mamas & Papas will be a priceless treasure for the winning bidder. The Painted Turtle is grateful that they will receive 25% of the winning bid that will allow them to continue to provide life changing camp experiences to children with serious medical conditions. On behalf of those children, thank you Michelle. And thank you to the auction bidders.

Adler signed the Mamas & the Papas to Dunhill, producing six top-five hits for the group, including California Dreamin’ and Monday, Monday

OMB Bloodbath – Don’t Do It

OMB Bloodbath released the music video for her new single: “Don’t Do It.” They not only honor the rapper’s home but they provide a glance into Bloodbath’s life with loved ones who keep her grounded. Directed by Jon Primo and Edgar Esteves, Bloodbath enjoys some fashionable moments while rightfully parading her Blackness as she cruises through the streets of Houston. These moments also come with a sombering sentiment. Bloodbath’s late mentor George Floyd is honored throughout the visuals as she performs with glee in front of his iconic mural. While bittersweet, Bloodbath has previously shared her inspiring friendship with Floyd in an editorial for Billboard. “He had a good aura about him. You look at a dude that big and think he has to be some type of extra-hard gangsta, but he was the exact opposite,” she said at the time of his death. “That’s why you hear a lot of people call him the gentle giant. He had a heart of gold.”

About OMB Bloodbath

Representing Houston’s historic Third Ward, OMB Bloodbath is in a class of her own. While 2020 was a wild ride for everyone, it was OMB Bloodbath’s pivotal year. Her hustle paid off, when Blood secured a deal with 10:22 PM and Love Renaissance (LVRN), in partnership with Interscope Records.  The release of “Dropout” with fellow Houston star Maxo Kream fanned the flames for what was to come. The song cracked 750K organic views in no time on YouTube and is currently inching towards a million. Also, Bloodbath’s “For Me” became a TikTok favorite. The Chase B and Ken The Man assisted single is also enjoying a ride to the 2 million mark on YouTube, making it her biggest record to date. “My whole hood is rooting for me, my city’s rooting for me. I’m just taking in every moment of it, working hard, and keeping it going,” she explains.

Mabel × Let Them Know

Mabel is back today with the brand new single “Let Them Know,” which is available now on Capitol Records. Listen HERE and watch the video HERE.

It’s the first new music of 2021 from Mabel, who in the last year or so alone has won the BRIT Award for Best Female Solo Artist, surpassed 4 billion streams and 2.2 million adjusted album sales for first album “High Expectations” (the biggest-selling debut by a British woman in 2019), and added to her formidable catalogue of smash hits like “Don’t Call Me Up” with 3 more top 10s under lockdown.

Futuristic, fearless and feel-good, “Let Them Know” is the unmistakable arrival of a new era and mindset for Mabel. Written alongside friends and close collaborators Raye, SG Lewis and MNEK, it’s an anthem about dressing up (with nowhere to go), and projecting confidence (even in times of trouble). On “Let Them Know” – and much more new music to come – Mabel’s girl-next-door candor remains, but her superstar-status shines brighter than ever before.

Mere weeks after she won her first BRIT Award – and midway through touring “High Expectations” – the world stopped: and for Mabel, a rare moment to pause and process an astonishing few years in the public eye came with it. At the beginning of the pandemic Mabel moved back in with her parents, threw herself into dance classes, and channeled everything she missed (close friends, the big night out, young love, feeling unafraid) into this brand new musical chapter. Within, songs distil the sweaty, grotty and frankly unglamorous side of noughties club land – as lost to the pandemic – alongside deeper cultural influences for Mabel: “Let Them Know”, for instance, was inspired by obsessively re-watching ‘Paris Is Burning’, ‘Pose’ and ‘Drag Race’, while reflecting on dance music’s generational ethos of expression, liberation and inclusion.

While “Let Them Know” sounds, inadvertently, like the world opening up again, its unapologetic spirit is ultimately dedicated to anyone who’s ever felt less than. For herself as much as her legion of young fans, in 2021 it is time – finally – to “Let Them Know” that you’re that bitch.

ACHE – Ganas de ti

ACHE, the new urban music rising artist, presents his new single “Ganas de ti,” a song that promises to mark a before and after in his artistic career, bringing him even closer to his biggest dream: having a successful career in the competitive Latin music industry.

The young interpreter ACHE continues to surprise his fans with more and better music. Today, he releases “Ganas de ti,” a song with a forceful and contagious melody that explores a romantic and more sensual side of the songwriter.

The born Colombian artist assures that “I have very high expectations with this song, I want to let the world know that I am ready to make my dreams come true and I want all my fans to be the main characters of this journey.”

“Ganas de ti” was created by the multi-award-Grammy-winner and producer Ray “El Ingeniero” Casillas, with musical arrangements by R. Cabrera Aka Zeus Beats, under the SDS Records label.

The music video for “Ganas de ti” is loaded with the best Caribbean vibes. It was shot on the island of Puerto Rico, (a very special place for ACHE since he has already spoken about how much he loves the island). The music video highlights Puerto Rico’s natural beauty alongside the historical architecture and charm of Old San Juan.

The video was directed by Joshua Burgos, and produced by Nadia Caziano with Hollywood Films production company.

Terrell Hines Releases New Single Radon Dungeon

Today, Georgia-born, Los Angeles-based pop visionary Terrell Hines released his new single, “Radon Dungeon.” On the effortlessly smooth, funk-laced track, Hines conjures up visions of a toxic, worse-case scenario but emerges with a seductive anthem worthy of a post-apocalyptic discothèque. As Substream Magazine observed upon the release of his 2019 debut EP, he’s “an artist that knows there’s nothing he can’t turn into song.” Listen HERE. The accompanying visualizer, which was shot in his hometown of Atlanta, was directed by Jelani Miller (SoFaygo, Tony Shhnow, 10KDunkin). View HERE

“’Radon Dungeon’ is world of fun -an underground space for the outcasts of society,” says Terrell Hines.

“Radon Dungeon” is the follow-up to the euphoric “Who Do You Love?,” which Netflix tapped to fuel its summer movie preview. Hines, hailed as a “Breakout Emerging Artist” by Billboard, has already amassed more than five million streams without releasing an album or touring the U.S. He displays a polymathic musicality, honed in part during his studies on scholarship at Berklee College of Music. In 2019, he appeared on the title track to Beck’s Hyperspace album and saw a major boost after his song “Get Up” was used during an Apple Keynote.

In 2020, Hines released his first tape, Portal One: The Mixtape, a nine-track project that featured the raw energy of live instrumentation. Watching the events of the summer unfold prompted him to remix “Get Up,” adding a new verse from Vince Staples. NPR Music observed, “…in the context of this summer’s movement, lyrics like ‘I’ve been waiting my whole life’ along with the driving percussion and the increasing desperation in Hines’s voice, begin to take the shape of shouts for justice in a protest moving down a city block.” In October, he released the electrifying single “We’re All Gonna Be Killed,” which reflected on “the tension of 2020 so far.”

Hines creates an entire ecosystem for his songs, where sonic structures and lyrics are just as likely to be inspired by the sociopolitical as the personal, by functional architecture as abstract art, by the austere science of survivalism as the limitless potential of technology. The best part is, you don’t have to know all that to feel the holistic magic of his work.

Still Woozy × That’s Life

Still Woozy premieres his new single and official video for That’s Life from his debut album, If This Isn’t Nice, I Don’t Know What Is.

One of the most inventive and multifaceted new voices in the alt-pop world, Still Woozy, returns today with his sweetly lovesick new track That’s Life, released via Still Woozy Productions/Interscope Records. It’s the fourth single from Still Woozy’s forthcoming full-length debut, If This Isn’t Nice, I Don’t Know What Is. The album is due out on August 13.

Wrapped in a glistening exterior, That’s Life captures the sensation of riding out life’s highs and lows. In creating the track, the Portland-based singer/songwriter/producer otherwise known as Sven Gamsky merged lush beats, big bass grooves, and heart-on-sleeve lyrics delivered in his tender vocals. The result is a bittersweet song revealing Still Woozy’s gift for spinning painful feelings into bright and sunny melody.

“This song is my attempt to make peace with life’s inconsistencies,” says Still Woozy.

Along with “That’s Life,” If This Isn’t Nice, I Don’t Know What Is will feature several previously released singles, including Kenny (hailed by Wonderland Magazine as “an intimate and imbued soundscape, filled with alt-pop sensibilities and chilled out vocals”), Rocky (a track that inspired This Song Is Sick to proclaim: “When it comes to the momentous lo-fi/indie pop boom that’s happening right now, Still Woozy is at the head of the pack”), and Window (praised by Earmilk as a “promising first step of the new decade that expands on his groovy DIY aesthetic while maintaining a touching intimacy”).

Gamsky grew up in the Bay Area and began playing guitar as a little kid. By middle school, he’d started writing his own songs, and later honed his guitar skills by playing in a math-rock band. After further developing his musicality by studying classical guitar and electronic music at UC Santa Cruz, he released his debut EP Lately in 2019. Featuring collaborations with Omar Apollo, the self-recorded five-song project includes singles like “Habit” (a track that’s now amassed over 113 million streams on Spotify). Over the years, Still Woozy has taken the stage at major festivals like Coachella, Governor’s Ball, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits, in addition to completing a sold-out North American headlining tour.

EVIDENCE Draws Attention to Social Injustice via Impactful Short Film

Damian Marley, Nabil Elderkin, Berner & More Join Evidence Co-Founder’s Dan & Casey Dalton to Launch Social Justice Cannabis Brand EVIDENCE

On the eve of Juneteeth, and coinciding with the 50th Anniversary of President Nixon’s War on DrugsEVIDENCE officially launched with a video collaboration via Rolling Stone between artist, cannabis activist Damian Marley, EVIDENCE Creative Director Nabil Elderkin who is also a legendary music video filmmaker known for his work with Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, John Legend; and cannabis entrepreneur, artist, philanthropist, Berner. Produced by music manager, activist and EVIDENCE Co-Founder Dan Dalton, the short film beautifully encapsulates the social justice movement and message behind EVIDENCEa much-buzzed about cannabis brand that packages its flower in police-style evidence bags with the intent of not-so-subtly compelling customers to reckon with the racial disparities surrounding drug-law enforcement.

Everyone involved has a singular goal: to bring attention to the 40,000 prisoners of cannabis prohibition, and $1 from every EVIDENCE cannabis bag sale goes to criminal justice reform non-profit Last Prisoner Project.

Operating out of an abandoned, high security private prison in Coalinga, California, EVIDENCE Co-Founder Casey Dalton says, “We grow weed at a prison to get people out of prison for growing weed.”

Evidence and Last Prisoner Project both stand for a very honorable cause,” said Damian Marley. “With Last Prisoner Project, through the work that they’re doing in trying to get people who are incarcerated for cannabis out of jail; and Evidence through being a brand that is helping to support that same movement. To me it was a victory to be able to turn a facility that was once a place of despair, doom, and gloom, into something that is now a place of joy and healing. We are proud to be a part of that.

The EVIDENCE parent company, Ocean Grown Extracts, is a family-owned, woman-run cannabis brand with a deeply ingrained social justice mission. Since co-founding the California-based company, siblings Casey, Dan, and Kelly Dalton have sought to raise awareness surrounding the racial inequities inherent in the War on Drugs. In a particularly impactful move, the Daltons purchased an abandoned, high-security private prison in 2016, then transformed that space into a state-licensed facility where they cultivate, manufacture, and rigorously test a variety of cannabis formulations. With their recent triumphs, including this launch of EVIDENCE, Ocean Grown continues to create exceptionally clean and high-quality products.

Along with establishing Ocean Grown as one of the first large-scale cannabis manufacturing permit-holders in the state of California, the Coalinga space almost immediately boosted the local economy, eliminating the city’s debt and generating over 100 jobs in its first year of operation. And in a poetic turn of events, the company assembled their team of security personnel from several former guards from the former prison, this time hiring them to keep watch over their crop of cannabis plants, not people.

Ocean Grown has recently achieved several milestones such as securing the first outdoor cultivation license in Fresno County a monumental accomplishment in an area recognized as one of the most productive agricultural regions in the entire world. They are also gearing up to open a retail store and consumption lounge in Coalinga, a location primed to be a destination spot for road trippers making the trek between Los Angeles and San Francisco. In all its endeavors, Ocean Grown and EVIDENCE remain passionately committed to correcting the injustices associated with cannabis prohibition, and building a sustainable, more equitable future for the industry at large.
