GWEN STEFANI AND SAWEETIE TEAM UP ON EMPOWERING “SLOW CLAP”

Watch the video for “Slow Clap” HERE

Global superstar Gwen Stefani adds yet another iconic pop collaboration to her catalog with the release of Slow Clap” featuring the multi-platinum rap star Saweetie. The empowering track, Stefani’s first single of 2021, is inspired by a mash up of sounds with Saweetie’s unabashed verses. “Slow Clap” featuring Saweetie is available now at all digital retailers via Interscope Records.

The “Slow Clap” video was directed by Sophie Muller, a long-time Stefani collaborator who also helmed the memorable clips for No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak” and Gwen’s solo track “Wind It Up.” Watch the energetic video HERE.

With lyrics about embracing resilience and staying confident despite feeling like an underdog, “Slow Clap” is classic Gwen: “Been the champion, rang the bell / Rocked the bottom, been through hell,” she sings. “Climbed the mountain, now I’m well / I just feel like coming back for the belt.”  Saweetie, whose forthcoming debut album featuring recent drops with Doja Cat (“Best Friend”) and Demi Lovato (“My Girlfriends Are My Boyfriend”), reinforces this confidence with bold and unapologetic lines: “My favorite position is CEO check the stats / Me and Gwen Stefani snatchin’ wigs on the track.”

“Slow Clap” builds on the momentum of “Let Me Reintroduce Myself,”which reached No. 1 on the iTunes chart upon its release. In 2020, Stefani also had two No. 1 hits on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart with fiancé Blake Shelton, “Nobody but You” and “Happy Anywhere,” and reissued her holiday album, You Make It Feel Like Christmas, with two new songs, including “Here This Christmas” co-written with Ryan Tedder.

A three-time GRAMMY Award winner, Stefani has achieved global success as a performer, songwriter, and frontwoman of No Doubt, and a multi-platinum solo artist, among other accomplishments. To date, she’s sold more than 50 million units worldwide. Her 2015 solo album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. She also spent five seasons as a coach on the Emmy-winning NBC series The Voice where she led contestant Carter Rubin to be crowned the season 19 winner. The classic warmth of “Slow Clap” sets the tone for what fans can expect from Stefani as she plans to release more music this year.

Get it HERE via Vol 1./Epic RecordsThe creative official lyric video is available at 12 pm EST today HERE. The song is the next chapter to be unveiled from his anxiously awaited full-length debut album, “Skyview,” due out this year and executive produced by Mike Dean

The track pairs a thumping bass line and flurry of funk guitar with a showstopping vocal performance. He delivers charismatic verses before igniting the instantly unshakable hook, “I don’t wanna stop, baby it’s our time.

“STOP” continues the journey that was set in CAMERAS ON,” released late last month. The conceptual lyric video shared today picks up where “CAMERAS ON” left off. While “CAMERAS ON depicts the story of AJ dealing with the darker sides of fame and his previous experiences with the content collective Team 10, the new lyric video finds him walking away from the cameras to the stage, depicting his passion and dedication to the music and what truly matters.  Stay tuned for the official music video, set to premiere soon.

With all of the songs releases from Skyview” thus far, we’ve seen AJ Mitchell truly coming into his own, showcasing his knack for great storytelling.

“When you listen to the album, I want you to feel nostalgic,” AJ says. “It really takes me home. At the same time, I want you to know more about who I am. Talking to the camera is unnatural for me. The best way for everybody to understand me is through my songs. I’m still just a kid who lives his life through music. There’s not a single day I don’t think about it or don’t want to run to my guitar, my piano, or my notepad and start writing.”

Since emerging in 2018, AJ Mitchell has consistently asserted himself as pop’s most dynamic new leading man. Averaging over 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, he impressively leaped past the 1-billion stream mark within three years. In addition to being named a Vevo LIFT artist and MTV Push artist, Variety championed him on its “Young Hollywood” 2020 list. Beyond acclaim from BillboardIdolatorHighsnobiety, and Seventeen, he delivered show-stopping performances at the MTV VMAs and on The Today Show and Good Day New York. In 2019, his Slow Dance” EP yielded the gold-selling title track “Slow Dance” [feat. Ava Max]. Including the latter, he has logged four songs on the Top 40 at Pop Radio thus far. He’s also become  a trusted collaborator, recently joining forces with Cheat Codes for “Hate You + Love You.” Throughout 2020 he also collaborated with names like Elle Henderson, Steve Aoki, Captain Cuts, and more. Over the past year, he assembled his full-length debut Skyview” with the legendary Mike Dean as Executive Producer. Now, the cameras are on, and AJ Mitchell is ready to shine in 2021.

The “Slate of Hate”

Anti-Trans Bills Moving in State Legislatures Across the Country, Explained

Many state legislatures across the country have embraced a discriminatory agenda as hundreds of bills that would weaken protections and rights for LGBTQ people—more than 100 of which vilify and marginalize transgender people, particularly trans youth—are moving through statehouses at an alarming rate. Despite widespread, overwhelming public opposition to the bills, a closer look reveals this onslaught of discriminatory legislation is being driven by a group of well-funded, national anti-LGBTQ organizations—including the Heritage Foundation, the Eagle Forum, and Alliance Defending Freedom, which is designated as a “hate group” by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

  • These national organizations have launched a full-throated strategy to chip away and weaken LGBTQ rights and protections by fomenting clashes in the states—using state legislatures to spread misinformation about LGBTQ (particularly transgender) people, and fabricate a groundswell of  seemingly anti-LGBTQ sentiment.
  • Using state legislatures as the strategic vehicles to embrace and pass a flurry of anti-LGBTQ legislation, the strategy is gaining ground — as discriminatory, anti-LGBTQ copycat bills are being pushed through state legislatures at an alarming rate.
  • This strategy, in many cases, seeks to vilify trans youth to undermine broader LGBTQ progress, and to reignite culture wars that most of the country has moved beyond.

Anti-LGBTQ Bills Seek to Vilify Trans Youth

So far, there are more than 200 anti-LGBTQ bills under consideration in state legislatures across the country. Of those, 106 directly target transgender people and 56 of those would ban transgender girls and sometimes women from participating in sports consistent with their gender identity. The legislation moving in these states seek to vilify and marginalize transgender youth by denying them the fundamental opportunities to participate in youth sports activities and — more egregiously — deny them health care:

  • Denying health care for trans kids: The anti-transgender effort to target transgender youth by denying them medically necessary services and gender-affirming care have sprung up in 20 states. These bills are opposed by organizations dedicated to children’s health, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the National Association of Social Workers, and more. Some of these bills moving through state legislatures include:
  • The Alabama House of Representatives passed SB 10, which would make it a felony for medical providers to provide age-appropriate, best practice, medically-necessary care.
  • Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson’s veto of HB 1570 was overridden by the legislature.
  • The Tennessee state legislature is considering HB 578 (SB 657), which would classify providing gender-affirming care as child endangerment, triggering criminal, civil, and professional penalties.
  • Denying organized sports opportunities for trans youth: We’re seeing many extremely similar bills in states across the country that would ban transgender girls and sometimes women from participating in sports consistent with their gender identity at the elementary, secondary, or post-secondary level. These bills have been introduced in 30 states. We’ve already seen some of these bills signed into law, including:

Legislators across the country have failed to provide examples of issues in their states to justify these bills, laying bare the reality that these are attacks on transgender youth are fueled by discrimination and not supported by fact. State athletic associations, as well as collegiate and professional sports organizations, have had trans-inclusive policies for years without incident, and there is no reason states need a ban on transgender participation in sports.

Top Businesses, Athletes, Advocates Oppose Anti-Trans Hysteria

These discriminatory bills—driven by national anti-LGBTQ groups, not local stakeholders or public concern—will have a devastating impact on LGBTQ people, particularly transgender youth. Legislators pushing these bills forward are also ignoring the views of leading corporations, health and welfare organizations, and the majority of voters, all of whom oppose anti-LGBTQ legislation.

Wide range of business and advocacy groups, athletes oppose anti-trans legislation.

  • Earlier this month, nearly 70 major U.S. corporations stood up and spoke out to oppose anti-transgender legislation being proposed in states across the country. New companies like Facebook, Pfizer, Altria, Peloton, and Dell join companies like Amazon, American Airlines, Apple, AT&T, AirBnB, Google, Hilton, IBM, IKEA, Microsoft, Nike, Paypal, Uber, and Verizon in objecting to these bills.
  •  The nation’s biggest advocates for women and girls spoke out in support of full and equal inclusion of transgender women and girls in sports, including the National Women’s Law Center, American Association of University Women, and the Women’s Sports Foundation, among many others.
  • This week, leaders of four of the largest food companies and major employers in the United States — Danone North America, Mars, Inc., Nestlé USA, and Unilever — spoke out against anti-LGBTQ legislation and called for the swift passage of the Equality Act in the Senate.
  • Nearly 550 college athletes have stood up to anti-transgender legislation by demanding the NCAA pull championships from states with anti-trans sports legislation. At the height of March Madness, NCAA President Mark A. Emmert also spoke out against the slate of discriminatory, anti-transgender bills in state legislatures across the country and committed to hosting championship games in locations that provide an environment that is safe, healthy, and free of discrimination.
  • The nation’s leading child health and welfare groups representing more than 7 million youth-serving professionals and more than 1000 child welfare organizations released an open letter calling for lawmakers in states across the country to oppose dozens of bills that target LGBTQ people, and transgender children in particular.

Trans equality is popular: Anti-transgender legislation is a low priority, even among Trump voters.

Vinfolio’s New Chief Technology Officer

Vinfolio Announces New Chief Technology Officer, Stephen Mutch

Vinfolio, one of the country’s leading fine-wine companies, is pleased to announce its hire of new Chief Technology Officer Stephen Mutch. Mutch will be leading the development of strategic technology solutions that align with Vinfolio’s goal to make buying, selling, and storing fine wine a seamless, technology-driven experience for collectors.

“Stephen brings a wealth of industry-related tech experience to Vinfolio, both as an entrepreneur and with WineDirect,” says Adam Lapierre, Vinfolio’s President. “We are confident that Stephen’s contribution to the company will position us for true innovation, solidifying our role as the market leader in our space.”

Mutch was raised in San Diego, California. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, he began his career in technology in one of the largest data centers in Southern California. That experience highlighted his passion for online applications and the utilization of technology to simplify complex problems. After relocating to Napa, California in 2006, Mutch took his technical expertise to the wine industry, landing a position with the startup Inertia Beverage Group, now WineDirect—where he eventually became Vice President. With WineDirect, Mutch learned the unique challenges and needs of the wine industry, as well as the complexities of its highly regulated marketplace. In 2011, Mutch left WineDirect to develop his own proprietary, end-to-end solution that simplified commerce, customer management, compliance, and shipping for hundreds of wineries and retailers within the industry.

“I am excited to be joining the team at Vinfolio and to be a part of an organization that is hyper-focused on delivering exceptional consumer experiences,” Mutch says. “The future of this company and the opportunities in the marketplace are exciting. I look forward to developing a strong technology strategy and infrastructure to meet its needs.”

Vinfolio transforms how the fine wine community buys, sells, manages, and enjoys fine wine with advanced cellar management technology, fine wine storage facilities, and a direct-to-consumer ecommerce platform. Combined, these systems empower the fine wine enthusiast to acquire highly collectible wine directly from producers, purchase and sell wine from Vinfolio’s collector marketplace, stay on top of every bottle in their cellar, and engage with other fine wine collectors, industry influencers, and winemakers—all in one seamless experience.

Vinfolio is majority-owned by Executive Chairman Don St. Pierre Jr. and his business partner and good friend Allan Warburg, co-founder and co-CEO of Bestseller Fashion Group China. St. Pierre is the recipient of numerous wine industry accolades, including being named number seven on Decanter magazine’s 2011 Top 50 global wine industry power players and selected by Wine Enthusiast Magazine as the 2011 International Man of the Year. In 2012, the French government awarded St. Pierre Jr. the degree of Knight in the French Ordre du Mérite Agricole, and in 2015, he was appointed as a member of the supervisory board of Vinexpo Overseas. Vinfolio’s ownership also includes Jean-Michel Valette, who chairs the Education and Examination Board (EEB) of the Institute of Masters of Wine and is former chairman of Robert Mondavi Corporation and Peet’s Coffee, and Jon Moramarco, former CEO of Constellation Brands.

Spark: A Systemic Racism Story

Documentary Explores Racism’s Roots and Remedies, Offers Free Educational Access

The tragic death of George Floyd sparked the largest global protest in the history of the world, a nationwide discussion, and a more profound look at deep-seated, systemic racism in America. With the Derek Chauvin trial underway and the unsettled fate of police reform, Amateur Films’ 30-minute non-commercial documentary — Spark: A Systemic Racism Story — is available as a complimentary resource to explore racism’s roots and remedies. Since the film’s release in December 2020, individuals, teachers, professors, CEOs, and diversity equity and inclusion (DE&I) leaders began utilizing Spark as a resource for racial justice, equity, and sensitivity.

Created by white allies for all allies, the documentary is an aggregator of interviews and clips of prominent racial justice advocates, providing historical context of policies and procedures that led to the oppression of the Black community. Spark also proposes pragmatic, creative remedies in policing, criminal justice, and society in both full-length and condensed forms.

The producers’ participation in a local demonstration sparked by the death of Mr. Floyd inspired the creation of a non-commercial educational documentary to encourage recognition of unconscious bias and show a path to unlearning the historical narrative that redefined an entire race, supporting authentic and effective white allies.

“The trial of Derek Chauvin illustrates a driving point: being white in America is not needing to state that your life matters. When your life matters, you have power. Some use it for good and some very clearly (as in the case of George Floyd’s murder) do not,” said associate producer Julie Manriquez. “We hope our film helps to provide space for those looking to listen and learn and do the work.”

The documentary is presented in complete, abbreviated, and mini versions and can be viewed at this website. Companies, academic institutions, and organizations are encouraged to utilize Spark as a tool and share within and beyond their circles to further the cause of creating a more equitable society designed for the success of all.

Listen to “Home” by Ava Della Pietra here.

15-year-old singer/songwriter Ava Della Pietra has just released her most poignant single to-date with “Home,” inspired by the devastating stories of families torn apart on the southern border. Parade Magazine called the song “inspiring,” “empowering,” and a “pop ray of hope,” with “pure pop sensibility, catchy hooks and heartfelt lyrics…inspiring young listeners to feel proactive and empowered.” With lyrics that touch on fear, loneliness, and hope, “Home” is universal anthem for any young person struggling with life’s challenges, as relevant to those on the southern border as to the everyday teen. Parade adds, “Her spot-on vocals and sweet delivery will have you singing along and cheering for the power of open-minded activism.” Proceeds from the single and merchandise will be donated to charities dedicated to reuniting and rehoming children at the southern border.

Over the past few years, Ava has emerged as one of the most promising young artists on the pop scene today. Having established herself on the Broadway stage in the original cast of School of Rock, Ava’s debut single “Christmas Tonight” was named one of the “Best Holiday Songs” of the year by Tiger Beat Magazine, alongside artists like the Jonas Brothers and Liam Payne, and her follow-up single “Optimist” reached #50 on the Top 40 Radio chart, earning praise from American Songwriter, Just Jared Jr., and Newsday, who called Ava a “rising star.”

Produced by Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran, Jamie Lawson), “Home” is one of fifty songs that Ava has written, and the first of ten already produced, to be released in the coming months. Ava collaborated with some of the world’s top producers on her upcoming album, including Hicks, Justin Gray (Avril Lavigne, Mariah Carey), and Adrian Gurvitz (Andra Day, Jesse McCartney, Cheetah Girls). Alongside “Home” and “Optimist,” the album will also feature songs like “Forgotten,” dedicated to the people of Puerto Rico suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, as well as Ava’s upcoming single “Isolation,” slated for release this spring.

“Over the past few years, I have been shocked to learn about the terrible conditions that children have had to endure at the border–being separated from their families and left alone,” Ava said. “I also know that there are kids around the world struggling in other ways, including emotional challenges, pressures at school, problems at home, and so much more. I hope this song can encourage people to lend a helping hand and be there for one another.”

A multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, bass, guitar, violin, and ukulele, Ava began performing at age four and writing songs at age five. She performed on the national tours of “Les Misérables” and “White Christmas” before joining the original cast of “Broadway’s School of Rock”, and has been featured on “Good Morning America”, “Sesame Street”, the Tony Awards, “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver”, and more. Ava has performed at the Sundance Film Festival, the Great South Bay Music Festival, the New York Tennis Open, and at Madison Square Garden in front of 20,000 Knicks fans, as well as at My Father’s Place in Roslyn, New York, and in front of a sold-out crowd at NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall. Most recently Ava launched “Talking Tunes with Ava Della Pietra,” a new music column with Teen Kid News, where she is reviewing popular hits. Ava was also featured on the soundtrack for “Secondhand Lions: A New Musical.”

A supporter of both local and national charitable organizations, Ava is dedicated to advocating for young people, inspiring others to believe in themselves and follow their dreams. For more information on Ava Della Pietra, please visit her website.

Here at 360 Magazine, we sat down with Ava to discuss the release of “Home,” her rise to fame, and how she finds inspiration for her soulful songwriting.

  1. Are there any specific charities you’d like to shout out of which to proceeds of “Home” are going toward? Yes, I am giving proceeds from “Home” to non-profit agencies helping unaccompanied minors to reunite with their families and find homes.

    2. You’ve written over 50 songs! That’s very impressive. Where do you find inspiration for writing all of these tracks?

Most of my inspiration comes from real life. I really enjoy expressing my emotions through my songwriting because I think it helps me discover more about myself. Sometimes, I will just be walking around my house and a thought will pop into my head. Unconsciously, I come up with a melody to that phrase, and occasionally I’ll create a song. Other times, I’ll simply sit down and think, “I want to write a song today!”

    3. Of the songs you’ve written that haven’t yet been produced, what other themes do you discuss within your music that you think are most important to bring awareness to?

A few themes I explore in my songs are love, empowerment, mental health, confidence, and friendship. For example, I’ve recently written a few songs about overcoming insecurities. Something I like about my music is that even though a couple of my songs may focus on sad topics, almost all of them have a positive or hopeful spin to them by the end.

    4. Even though other young people’s situations may not be as severe as those at the southern border, how do you see “Home” as a relatable anthem for all listeners?

“Home” is about lending a helping hand to those in need. This idea can apply to a wide range of situations, from daily encouragement to serious national issues, such as the southern border.

    5. What is the most standout performance of your career, in your opinion?

In terms of acting and performing arts, “School of Rock” on Broadway was definitely a dream come true. In regard to my singer-songwriter career, Sundance Film Festival was one of my favorite experiences. I also really enjoyed singing the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden for a Knicks game, singing at My Father’s Place, and traveling out to Las Vegas to perform.

    6. You recently launched “Talking Tunes with Ava Della Pietra.” What artists do you particularly enjoy and inspire your own performance?

Some of my favorite artists are Lauv, Conan Gray, Halsey, Lewis Capaldi, and Camila Cabello. I also like Ed Sheeran and his performance style. He uses a loop pedal which allows him to add the different layers of a song live. I’ve recently started to use a looper, and I find it really fun to incorporate all 5 of my instruments into my performance.

    7. Do you have a “dream musical” you’d love to be involved with in the future?

I’m a huge fan of “Dear Evan Hansen”, so being a part of that musical would be absolutely incredible!

    8. You began performing at such a young age. When did you, or your parents, first recognize your natural ability to perform?

I’ve been singing more or less my whole life! I was in my first community theater production when I was four, and people began to approach my parents and encourage them to find me an agent. When I was six, I booked my first role in the National Tour of “Les Misérables.” Everything kind of skyrocketed from there.

    9. What are you most excited about regarding the upcoming release of your debut album?

I’m just so excited for people to listen to my music. Over the past year, my style has changed a lot, and I can’t wait for people to hear what I’ve been working on!

Gwendolyn Osborne QxA

Gwendolyn Osborne is multitalented actress, model, podcaster and mother, but her latest role is as an Amazon in “Woman Woman 1984.” She appears alongside Gal Gadot, Kristen Wiig, Robin Wright, Pedro Pascal and Chris Pine in the film, which is showing in theaters and streaming exclusively on HBO Max. Here at 360 Magazine, we sat down with the star to talk about her experience on the set of WW84, women’s representation in Hollywood, and the entertainment industry during Covid.

1. What was it like working on the set during the filming of “Wonder Woman 1984”?

One of the most poignant, magnificent experiences of my life!

2. What is your favorite memory while filming WW84?

When we (elite competitive Amazons) all finally walked on to the gargantuan set in full costume, hair and makeup and saw each other, it was like magic! Let’s go!

3. WW84 is the sequel to the highest-grossing live-action film ever directed by a woman. How do you see women’s representation in Hollywood evolving in 2021?

The director, Patty Jenkins, is an original trail blazer. She is the Wonder Woman behind the camera in every way. She is the inspiration behind my podcast, “Tea With Gwen,” because watching her direct 2 massive film units, while being a mother, wife and friend who wants to make sure she says goodbye to her actors was one of those pivotal moments where you see women can do it ALL. I am a part of the millions of women that found one another and start uplifting and supporting one another’s businesses to keep it going. Knowing we can do this for each other is so fulfilling because we know we all get further that way.

4. Though the release was pushed back several times due to Covid, how did you interpret the reaction to WW84 once it was released?

It seems to have mixed reviews but I am so relieved it’s finally out because sheesh! Keeping a secret that long and that big is exhausting! I can finally tell people I’M AN AMAZON in WW1984!

5. As an actress, what is the biggest shift you’ve noticed in the entertainment industry due to Covid? How have you adapted to continue to create content?

I’ve noticed that the people who really love it have stayed dedicated. We have grown within our own communities by supporting one another through it. Staying in class at Shari Shaw Studios online has been so supportive and elevating in my talents.

6. How does your experience on the silver screen differ from working in TV? Which do you prefer, and why?

Honestly, I love both. Being a mother, TV is easier because it’s right here in LA, but I would be ready to book a film and fly any day. We work out what we need to work out.

7. Besides using your Lomolique Facial Oil, do you have any other tips for keeping skin youthful and glowing?

Yes, drink water and keep the sugar low ([which is] so hard because I love chocolate!) Wash makeup off your face, exfoliate twice a week and moisturize every night.

8. How do you make the time to incorporate wellness into your busy daily life?

I think [that] wellness is incorporated, just like brushing your teeth–there’s no negotiating whether to do it, it’s just fit in. Taking care of your mind and body and soul is imperative for beauty on the inside and outside, especially if you want health for longevity.

9. Do you have another other exciting projects coming up in 2021 that you can share?

My podcast “Tea with Gwen” is available on Spotify, Google and iTunes. Please subscribe , like and enjoy all of the wisdom from the successful entrepreneurs on there and just the share of womanhood in general. [And] Look out for me on Bridgerton! Just kidding but ya know, we have to manifest to make things happen, for real right?!
