NFL uniform rankings: which are the best and worst in the league?

It’s fair to say that the NFL is still one of the major sports in America, with millions of fans following the action each season. This saw $9.5 billion in revenue made by the NFL in 2020 and each team in the league getting a slice of this to build with. With the 2020 season delivering all the usual thrills and spills (with an exciting Super Bowl game to top it off), it is still a sport that offers so much to fans.

It is not just watching the drama unfold that brings so many people to the NFL, though. Betting on this sport also draws many fans in to keep up with the action. The AGA estimated that the 2018 Superbowl drew almost $5 billion in bets – much of it illicit. Thankfully, 2021 is a different time, and sports betting is making its way to gradual nation-wide legalization, with many states already fully allowing it.

In terms of actually making a profit from your wagers, for many, the key to success is finding the best NFL picks and predictions to use in their betting. If you can make the correct calls, it really helps you get the most from sports betting in the long term.

Of course, it is also the individual teams that make the NFL what it is. While the players that each team fields count for a lot, smaller things, such as the uniform each team wears, are very important. A snazzy uniform can help attract fans and make them feel good about their team – as well as leading to more shirt sales! A poorly executed uniform, on the other hand, can have the opposite effect.

With the NFL in off-season until September, now is the perfect time to look at which teams come out best and worst in terms of stylish uniforms.

Best 3 NFL team uniforms – Packers, Saints and Rams

As it is always nice to look on the bright side of life, let’s start with the most fashionable NFL uniforms around. While teams are always rebranding and updating each off-season, these are the current top three:

First up are the Green Bay Packers. The green and gold shirt design is pure class and instantly recognizable. It has remained pretty much unchanged for a long time and this gives it a really classic feel. The flash of yellow on the sleeve edging gives it extra zip, while the all-yellow pants complement the shirt perfectly.

Second best would probably be the LA Rams. This might be slightly controversial, as they had a kit rebrand recently, which was not to everyone’s taste. For a lot of fans, though, it looks awesome and is a definite update on their old uniform! The all-blue shirts and pants give an elite vibe, while the tight fit of both gives players an almost video game-style outline.

Third place must go to the New Orleans Saints. All you really need to know is that their uniform brings together black, gold and white to stunning effect. The players helmets, in particular, work very well, as the gold color and white stripe help offset the black uniform itself. For the same reason, the gold player numbering also stands out well on the black shirts.

Bottom 3 NFL uniforms – Jets, Bengals and Falcons

While the previous teams have got it spot-on in terms of cool uniforms, these three have not. First up are the recently rebranded New York Jets. There is just something about this uniform that does not work, and it looks ugly. This is mainly down to the outdated feel and how the white lettering sits awkwardly on the shade of green that is used.

If the Jets uniform is boring, then the Bengals have almost the opposite problem – there is just too much going on! The orange helmets with black stripes are like a migraine-inducing magic eye picture, while the stripe of orange on the black pants does not work, either. Throw in a shade of orange on the shirt, which anyone would find hard to pull on, and you have a real disaster.

Last up are the Atlanta Falcons. They (like the Jets) recently rebranded but somehow managed to go backwards in terms of cool-looking uniforms. Whoever thought all white is a good look for the football field needs a serious eye test! The lettering and numbering on the uniform also looks like it has come from a Sega Mega Drive. All in all, it is a real no-no.

NFL uniforms are key to the game’s appeal

Although football is a sport, what the teams in the NFL wear really does matter. Just as you would only add the most stylish Italian fashion brands to your wardrobe, teams can only expect their uniform to be a hit if it looks great. Getting this right not only affects how the players feel when they wear their uniforms but also how the fans feel when they see them.

PIRELLI P ZERO DHE FOR THE NEW FERRARI 488 GT MODIFICATA: COMPETITION TIRES FOR THE NEW TRACK-BASED GT CAR

The Pirelli P Zero DHE has been selected as original equipment for the new Ferrari 488 GT Modificata: a limited-edition car exclusively for use during track days and at Ferrari Club Competizioni GT events. The 488 GT Modificata, announced last November, will make its first public appearance at the Finali Mondiali Ferrari 2020, which will take place from March 4-7 at the Marco Simoncelli Misano World Circuit in Italy. Pirelli’s P Zero DHE racing tires, developed by Pirelli for GT3 cars, equip the new Ferrari in 325/680-18 size at the front and 325/705-18 size at the back.

Produced in very limited numbers, the Ferrari 488 GT Modificata is for customers who compete at the wheel of a Ferrari in GT championships all around the world. It captures the spirit of both the 488 GTE and 488 GT3 racing cars perfectly. The 488 GT Modificata will be eligible for Club Competizioni GT events, which are carving out an increasingly prominent place among Ferrari’s track activities. Pirelli’s P Zero DHE is an evolution of the previous DHD2, with modifications designed to make these tires more versatile for the wide variety of GT3 cars and drivers. This tire offers even more consistency and reliability than its predecessor and is able to guarantee optimal performance throughout a wide variety of different circuits and conditions.

The 2020 Finali Mondiali Ferrari, which this year takes place in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic that forced a postponement to 2021, represents the spectacular culmination of Ferrari’s GT season. On the menu are the final rounds of the Ferrari Challenge as well as meetings of the XX and F1 Clienti programmes. The World Finals also decide the Trofeo Pirelli and Coppa Shell titles: all well-known Ferrari-backed competitions that rely on Pirelli tires. Since the Ferrari Challenge made its debut in 1993, Pirelli has been the worldwide exclusive tire supplier. The Ferrari Challenge represents the perfect open-air laboratory for Pirelli, allowing future road-going tires to be developed using the lessons learned on the racetrack.

Following an exhaustive search that included hundreds of applications from around the world, including Kenya’s finest hospitality professionals, hoteliers and safari operators alike, the renowned property overlooking the Maasai Mara has chosen to promote from within and confirm one of its own as its new General Manager.

“I know that Azei will be an accomplished steward, and a nurturing, fair, yet uncompromising leader, committed to pushing the team to even greater heights,” says Nicky Fitzgerald, CEO. “I am so proud we are rewarding talent from what we call ‘The University of Angama’ and will now have a fully Kenyan hospitality team caring for our guests.”

“Azei was the stand-out candidate with the appropriate mix of hospitality excellence, fanaticism about guest delight, and a true leader with a history of building and empowering his teams,” says Steve Mitchell, Angama Mara’s co-founder. “He is well-loved, well-respected and embodies everything about the ‘Angama way’ and our values of respect, honesty, courage, joy and humanity.”

With an extensive career in the hospitality industry spanning three decades – including running several restaurants and hotels and teaching hospitality management – Azei (pronounced ah-Zay) has been with Angama since its pre-opening, joining as a camp manager and most recently serving as Operations Manager. He succeeds Shannon and Tyler Davis, who are returning to the U.S. after six years at Angama Mara.

“My DNA is about delighting guests through passionate service. One cannot deliver this alone, and fortunately, this already exists at Angama,” said Azei. “As a family grows, it needs familiar stewardship and leadership with common values, ensuring continuity while promoting growth of both the business and the people who work within it. Being in a position where I can continue to make a meaningful change within Angama and in our surrounding communities, is a fulfillment of my dreams.”

Beloved by both guests and staff, Azei can trace his generous and welcoming nature back to his upbringing. Raised in a modest Nairobi household that was always full of visitors, both short- and long-term, Azei credits his early home life for his career in taking care of guests.

TALIA LONDONER – GET IT OUT

Talia Londoner Announces Her Arrival With Vibrant, Retro-Pop Single and Video, “Get It Out

Produced with renowned Penthouse photographer, Hank Londoner, and Directed by Boaz Aquino

Debut EP out Fall 2021

Today, with the release of her vibrant, retro-pop video for “Get It Out,” the LA-born, Tel Aviv-based singer/songwriter Talia Londoner shares the first taste of her euphoric musical sound, destined to place her among the next generation of pop stars. Combining the vibrant feminist visuals of early Madonna and the classic emotional style of Katy Perry, Robyn, and Kylie Minogue, “Get It Out” was produced and designed with renowned Penthouse photographer, Hank Londoner, and director, Boaz Aquino, taking listeners back to the anthemic, party pop of the 1980s. It’s the first single from Londoner’s debut EP, out this fall.

Talia’s style and aesthetic was shaped by a uniquely colorful background, growing up the daughter of Penthouse head photographer, Hank Londoner, and prima ballerina, Susan Freedman Londoner, in an iconic LA home commonly referred to as “the Dollhouse.” Boasting a bright yellow facade and an unmissable red door, each room surprised guests with a different color and floral textured wallpaper, creating a bright whimsical environment for the aspiring creative and host of colorful characters who came through its doors each day. The dollhouse is the birthplace for Talia’s bold and honest approach; it’s where she learned that truth and a willingness to reveal all of your colors can be a glue that bring people together. The making of “Get It Out” was a complete family-affair, with both Hank and Susan contributing to its production, design, and styling.

Transplanting from LA to Tel Aviv in 2013, Londoner found herself in high demand as a songwriter, collaborating with prominent groups like UK’s Invisible Men, Simon Cowell’s former head of A&R Anya Jones, Cutfather, and Israeli producer Oren Emanuel. After making it to the Top 10 on “The Voice,” she toured the country and saw numerous radio hits with the Israeli electro-pop outfit, Let’s Mars. The release of “Get It Out” marks Londoner’s return to the US after a whirlwind trip abroad, and the birth of her unique brand of timeless pop that she hopes will unite and inspire.

“’Get It Out’ is an uplifting, 80-inspired self-love anthem about letting go and feeling your way to freedom,” adds Londoner. “It’s a love letter to myself and to you.”

Talia is certainly an artist to watch this year! We can’t wait to hear what she comes up with next.

Opposing Anti-LGBTQ Legislations

Major Health, Education, and Child Welfare Organizations Oppose Anti-LGBTQ State-Based Legislation

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, the nation’s leading child health and welfare groups representing more than 7 million youth-serving professionals and more than 1000 child welfare organizations released an open letter calling for lawmakers in states across the country to oppose dozens of bills that target LGBTQ people, and transgender children in particular. In too many states, lawmakers are focusing on passing bills that attack our nation’s most vulnerable, instead of focusing on how to help the American people during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The signers note: “As organizations committed to serving the best interests of all youth, we are deeply alarmed at the torrent of bills introduced in state legislatures around the country this year that would directly harm transgender people and particularly transgender youth. These appalling proposals would compromise the safety and well-being of the young people we all have the duty and obligation to support and protect. All of our nation’s children deserve equal protection and treatment when accessing health care, and when attending school. These anti-transgender bills promote discrimination and do harm to students, their families, and their communities.”

“While states should be focusing on finding ways to ensure that every young person has a chance to succeed, we are instead seeing a majority of states introducing harmful legislation that excludes, discriminates against, and outright harms transgender youth who are simply trying to navigate their adolescence,” said Human Rights Campaign President Alphonso David“Anti-transgender sports bills are in search of a problem that does not exist and just the latest iteration of a years-long losing fight against equality.  In fact, anti-equality legislators when challenged are unable to name any instances of alleged cheating in their states to gain a competitive edge. That is because there are none. The notion is preposterous, nonsensical, and impractical. Other legislation is attempting to deny medically necessary gender-affirming care that helps to mitigate the life-threatening anxiety, depression, and dysphoria that are disproportionately experienced by transgender youth. Amidst an epidemic of fatal violence against transgender people, it is imperative that we do everything in our power to foster a more inclusive, less discriminatory society that guarantees acceptance of and equality to all. I thank every child health and welfare organization for stepping up and speaking out against the anti-transgender legislation that would have a profound effect on our young people.”

As organizations committed to serving the best interests of all youth, we are deeply alarmed at the torrent of bills introduced in state legislatures and in Congress this year that would directly harm transgender people and particularly transgender youth.  These appalling proposals would compromise the safety and well-being of the young people we all have the duty and obligation to support and protect.

All of our nation’s young people deserve equal protection and treatment when accessing health care, and when attending school and participating in extracurricular activities, including sports. These anti-transgender bills promote discrimination and do harm to students, their families, and their communities.

Since state legislatures began meeting this year, we have already seen more than 65 bills introduced seeking to deny transgender youths’ access to gender-affirming medical treatment, preventing them from participating in sports teams consistent with their gender identity, and denying access to sex-segregated spaces that include restrooms and locker rooms. Similar legislation is even being pushed in the U.S. Congress.

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender equality, is alarmed by the spate of anti-transgender legislation proposed across the country. We have found that less than a quarter of transgender and gender-expansive youth can definitely be themselves at school and only sixteen percent of transgender and gender-expansive youth feel safe at school. Every child deserves equal access to education, academic success, and a future in which they are empowered to fulfill their true potential, and these laws contravene that fundamental principle, which has long guided our nation’s education policy.

Transgender youth are already at a heightened risk for violence, bullying, and harassment. In addition, students who would be affected by these bills are among our most vulnerable to experiencing depression and engaging in self-harm, including suicide. These bills exacerbate those risks by creating an unwelcoming and hostile environment in places where students should feel the safest and most supported. Research has shown that when transgender youth have access to gender-affirming services, competent care, and affirmation, their risk of depression, anxiety, and other negative mental health outcomes is greatly reduced.

We stand in opposition to proposals that harm transgender youth, including limiting access to medically necessary, best-practice care, forbidding students from using the restroom at school consistent with their gender identity, and preventing transgender youth from playing sports alongside their peers. On behalf of our members and communities, we call on legislators across the country to reject these harmful measures.

MANN+HUMMEL Filter Cubes

Award-winning air quality

On the podium: Filter Cubes from MANN+HUMMEL win silver at International Paul Pietsch Award of AUTO MOTOR UND SPORT

Polluted air? MANN+HUMMEL offers professional solutions to tackle this challenge. Since 2018, Filter Cubes from the German filtration specialist have been ensuring a significant improvement in air quality in major cities around the globe. For this, especially their use in Stuttgart (Germany), the cubes have now been awarded the silver medal of the International Paul Pietsch Award by AUTO MOTOR UND SPORT, one of the leading automotive media.

“The award is a great recognition of our work. We are delighted that we have made it onto the podium of a prestigious automotive award ceremony with a product that is not even directly installed in a car,” said Jan-Eric Raschke, Director Air Solution Systems at MANN+HUMMEL. “This clearly shows that we are increasingly being perceived as one of the technology leaders for filtration solutions also outside the mobility sector.” MANN+HUMMEL shares the podium with the plug-in hybrid in the Mercedes GLE 350 de 4Matic and the innovations in the new Mercedes S-Class.

“The award once again underlines the importance of healthy air quality: clean air in cities is not a niche topic. It is a necessity, a fundamental right. We at MANN+HUMMEL have therefore made it our task to contribute with our products to making clean air and clean water possible in addition to clean mobility!” said Raschke.

The AUTO MOTOR UND SPORT expert jury’s statement reads: “Filter columns from MANN+HUMMEL have already proven at several locations around the world that they can noticeably reduce the concentration of fine dust and nitrogen oxides in the air. As a result, they increase the quality of life of people living along busy roads.”

Scientific studies back this up. A study of the Filter Cubes at Stuttgart’s Neckartor found that the columns provide a nine percent reduction in nitrogen dioxide pollution. In the area of the sidewalk, a reduction of between ten and nineteen percent was even achieved. The studies focusing on fine dust PM10 showed an average reduction of over ten percent.

The installation of the Filter Cubes at Stuttgart’s Neckartor in 2018 was just the start of their global deployment. In the meantime, the Filter Cubes are ensuring cleaner air in Brazil, China, India and South Korea, among other places, as well as in several German cities.

Being on the podium of the International Paul Pietsch Award is not the first prestigious recognition for the Filter Cubes. Over the last years, they have won many international awards. In 2018, they won the German Industry Award in the Research and Development category, and in 2019, the technology was named one of the honorees for the CES Innovation Award. In the same year, they received the Indian Good Air Summit Award and there was a nomination for the Environmental Technology Award of the State of Baden-Württemberg.

The International Paul Pietsch Award
The International Paul Pietsch Award for innovative technical developments in the automotive sector has been presented in the name of Paul Pietsch, co-founder of Motor Presse Stuttgart, since 1989. Every year, AUTO MOTOR UND SPORT honors outstanding innovative concepts with this renowned prize. Prerequisites for the nomination of an innovation are series production readiness and comprehensible utility value for customers in the areas of environment, comfort, safety and economy. The editorial jury has selected its favorites from the list of suggestions.

Springtime Backyarding

Spring Lawn Equipment: Get Ready for Backyarding in High Style This Year

Backyarding is the new trend that’s emerged during the pandemic. Our backyards are where we eat, work, play, relax and socialize, and the green spaces around our homes have proven to be vibrant places for connection and vital to maintaining mental health.

So how do you get ready for lots of springtime backyarding? You organize your yard and prepare your landscaping.

“Take some time to plan out your yard with your family. Once you know the purpose you want it to serve, it’s time to start working with it,” said Kris Kiser, President and CEO of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI), an international trade association representing outdoor power equipment, small engine, utility vehicle, golf car and personal transport vehicle manufacturers and suppliers.

“A well-cared for lawn and landscape provides the canvas for a year-round backyarding lifestyle. You’ll want to get out there with your outdoor power equipment, like your lawn mower and trimmers, as soon as spring arrives, and you want to do it safely,” said Kiser.

He offered the following tips to get lawn equipment ready for spring:

Refresh your knowledge. Read your equipment owner’s manuals and follow all manufacturer’s guidelines. If you find a manual online, save a digital copy for future reference.

Look over equipment. Lots can happen in a garage or storage shed over the winter. Check the air filter, oil level and gasoline tank. Watch for loose belts and missing or damaged parts. Replace any parts needed or take your equipment to a qualified service representative. Check you have the appropriate batteries.

Drain fuel tanks. If you didn’t empty the gasoline tank before storing equipment, drain it now. Fuel should never sit in outdoor power equipment for more than 30 days. Untreated gasoline (without a fuel stabilizer) will deteriorate, which may cause starting or running problems or damage the fuel system.

Protect your power. Use only E10 or less fuel in gasoline-powered outdoor power equipment. Most manufacturers recommend a fuel stabilizer be used, especially if you don’t use up all the fuel in the tank right away. Any fuel containing more than 10 percent ethanol can damage small engine equipment not designed for it.

Store fuel safely. Label fuel cans with the date of purchase and ethanol content of the fuel. If you don’t know the date of purchase, dispose safely of the fuel and buy fresh gasoline. Always store fuel out of the reach of children or pets and in approved containers.

Don’t mix up your battery packs. For battery-powered equipment, use only the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another. Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or tool outside the temperature range specified in the instructions.

Stash batteries safely. When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.

Tidy up. Clean equipment will run more efficiently and last longer. Clean equipment and store it in a dry place. Remove dirt, oil or grass. Never store equipment in a place that is damp or wet.

Casio G-SHOCK MR-G Series by G-SHOCK for use by 360 Magazine

CASIO’S Kachi-Iro Watch Collection

By: Armon Hayes

Now more than ever, consumer priorities have shifted to become increasingly more selective when it comes to luxury goods. After all, the majority of wise spending decisions are made on the basis of durability, functionality and of course, value. If a dose of retail therapy is required, or you’re deciding on the ideal gift for Mother’s or Father’s Day–whatever the occasion may be–G-Shock’s 2021 Spring/Summer latest release encompasses the philosophy of combining distinctive CMF design with leading-edge technology; redefining timepieces and the watch industry.

Casio announces the latest additions to its luxury G-SHOCK MR-G Series, with the introduction of the Kachi-Iro Collection. The brand-new MRGB2000B-1A and MRGB2000R-1A take inspiration from kachi-iro, the color of winning and victory in Japanese culture. Kachi-iro is a dark navy-blue color that was preferred by the native samurai warriors, often used for armor and helmets. Both high-end models incorporate ancient Japanese strength and aesthetics that pair well with G-SHOCK’s absolute toughness and top technical features, such as tough movement and standard technology.

The MRGB2000B-1A boasts a full metal band, derived from a traditional Japanese scale pattern used on the surface of the dial. The outer face is cut to a shape that resembles a Japanese fan, creating a stunning impression. The gentle concave surfaces of the hour markers resemble the curve of a samurai sword, while the inner surface of the bezel, inset dials, and logo all incorporate the bold kachi-iro color.

Each model is equipped with a deep layered hardening titanium case, the unique bezel of the MRGB2000R-1A is made of recrystallized titanium. Heat treating titanium creates a distinctive crystal pattern on its surface, which resembles the nie on Japanese sword blades. This model offers a durable fluorine rubber band with a Bishamon tortoise shell finish—a symbol of strength in Japan since ancient times. The only choice here is preference of wristband, dependent on one’s personal style.

My personal favorite is the G-STEEL collection. An owner of their previous edition, moderately priced at $425 and a notable collector’s item, the new GSTB100GC-1A, features an updated two-toned black colorway with refined gold accents. My favorite two finishes combine both style and functionality. The sleek, polyurethane black band and layered guard structure provide durability to enhance the model’s toughness–ensuring that it can withstand any activity.

The G-STEEL collection is fashionable, stylish, and equipped with premium design features–such as a highly scratch resistant black IP (ion plated) bezel with gold IP buttons, and buckle to match the timepiece’s elevated gold accents. As for functions, the watch is equipped with G-SHOCK’s most up-to-date features, including solar-powered charging capabilities, a super LED light and Neo-Brite luminous hands for maximum visibility. The timepiece also boasts Bluetooth technology to pair with smart phones via the G-SHOCK Connected App, offering connectivity, automatic time adjustment, and more!

As of late, this line up of the refined timepieces embodies the process of color material & finish, known as CMF. Unique colors and application techniques with the release of three new additions to its popular G-MS series of women’s watches, the MSGS600G-1, MSGS600-2, and MSGS600G-7, each offer a sporty-yet-elegant look that’s ideal for the multi-dimensional woman on the go.

The luxury watch comes with understated blue, black, and white resin bands–a staple accessory to elevate any look while providing functionality and a comfortable fit on a smaller wrist. The watch is equipped with standard G-SHOCK technology, including shock resistance, 100M water resistance, daily alarms (5), stopwatch, countdown timer, and full auto calendar to year 2099. It comes available in a rose gold IP bezel, retailing for $200, and stainless-steel bezel at $170.

Mr. Ibe’s dream of creating a watch that never breaks challenges the theory of time and waits for no one. Available now at select G-SHOCK retailers, the G-SHOCK Soho Store, and on G-SHOCK’s website.
