Lexus’ Wellness Travel “Retreats in Motion”

Automaker offering self-guided retreats to recharge travelers.

Lexus is elevating the American road trip. To meet the growing need for deeper, meaningful experiences that promote wellbeing, Lexus is putting travelers behind the wheel in its first-ever “Retreats in Motion” program. These five-day, four-night driving retreats allow guests to take a scenic, restorative drive in a new 2021 Lexus IS between two of the brand’s luxury hotel partners, with curated self-care activities along the way.

“These days, the desire to escape on the open road to rejuvenate mind and spirit has never been more enticing,” says Vinay Shahani, Lexus vice president of marketing. “The ‘Retreats in Motion’ program not only provides perfectly planned, luxurious getaways in a Lexus vehicle, but they also elevate the classic road trip with much-needed recuperative experiences.”

The Lexus partner hotels selected for the “Retreats in Motion” program have been hand-picked for their exceptional service, beautiful design and culinary offerings. Guests will spend two nights at each resort – with an average three-hour drive between each property – before returning to the originating hotel. Participating hotels in the three California-based retreats include:

In spring 2021, those visiting the East Coast will be able to travel between XV Beacon and Chatham Bars Inn in Massachusetts.

Travelers will be paired with the new 2021 Lexus IS sport sedan at their originating hotel before embarking on a customized route featuring suggested stops and wellness activities to enjoy throughout their drive. They’ll feast their eyes on beautiful views, relax with aromatherapy or guided breathwork, and have the option to indulge their taste buds with healthy gourmet meals at the end of each day.

Unlike typical getaways, the “Retreats in Motion” program incorporates the vehicle as an integral part of the wellness experience. More than just transporting travelers from each partner hotel, the Lexus vehicle is a destination and sanctuary in and of itself and is equipped with a mobile wellness kit to help travelers get the most out of their journey.

In creating the program, the automaker has partnered with mindbodygreen, a health and well-being lifestyle media brand, to create custom content featuring some of the world’s most-loved wellness experts for each retreat. Highlights include podcasts on sustainability with best-selling author Jonathan Safran Foer and a guided walking meditation with teacher Mary Beth LaRue, along with content covering topics from mindful eating to movement for longevity. Additionally, an immersive in-car sound bath with expert Sara Auster – designed to be played through the signature Mark Levinson sound system – helps clear energy blockages and deliver a sense of calm.

“Mindbodygreen has enjoyed being a trusted destination and resource for well-being for over eleven years, bringing together experts across all facets of health and wellness for our collective audience,” says Colleen Wachob, mindbodygreen co-founder and co-CEO. “Our team is so excited to work with an innovative, forward-thinking brand like Lexus on this partnership. Together, we’re creating something really unique and so vital to people’s well-being.”

Guests are responsible for the “Retreats in Motion” registration costs and travel expenses. Fees start at $2,700 for two guests, and include:

  • Five-day, four-night stay at each property
  • Loan of a new 2021 Lexus IS vehicle
  • Intimate access to curated wellness content, including self-care discussions, in-vehicle sound bath, meditation, guided breathwork and more
  • Complimentary welcome wellness kit

Lexus and its hotel partners deeply value the health and well-being of their guests. Comprehensive health and sanitization procedures have been put in place for each Lexus vehicle and the hotels have implemented their own measures. Please refer to each partner hotel website for more details on their COVID protocols.

Chaos Ignites Agility Illustration by Heather Skovlund for 360 Magazine

Chaos Ignites Agility

2020 exposed the collapse of standardization. We are rapidly moving away from an era defined by outdated standards that held people to conformity and limited their creativity—to today’s new era of personalization that honors one’s individual contributions and embraces fresh ideas and ideals,” said Glenn Llopis, president of GLLG, a leadership and business strategy consulting firm that authored a new report available today: CHAOS IGNITES AGILITY (download full report).

CHAOS IGNITES AGILITY captures the most intimate and disruptive insights from 46 executives across healthcare, corporate, and education. These leaders came together virtually for three days last October to share how they are working to restore individual dignity in how they serve patients, customers, employees, and students to thrive in a post-pandemic reality.

Themes emerged across the sectors, as doctors, professors, executives, deans, and presidents got real about how they have been adapting throughout the challenges and unpredictability of 2020. They collectively zeroed in on these major challenges and opportunities:

  • How to put patients, employees, and students at the center – to activate individual capacity.
  • How to lead through industry transformation when there’s so much uncertainty.
  • How to pursue and employ inclusion as a growth strategy going forward.

This riveting video tells the story.

Organizations represented in CHAOS IGNITES AGILITY include:

Healthcare:

  • CVS Health, Mount Sinai Health System, Anthem, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Woman’s Hospital, Lenovo Health, Keck Medicine of USC, City of Hope Cancer Medical Center, and American Association of Critical-Care Nurses

JOSHUA BASSETT

JOSHUA BASSETT RELEASES SELF-TITLED DEBUT EP AND MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “TELLING MYSELF” – WATCH HERE

NOMINATED AND PRESENTING AT THE NICKELODEON KIDS’ CHOICE AWARDS

PERFORMING ON THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW ON MARCH 24TH

ANNOUNCES “A NIGHT WITH JOSHUA BASSETT: A ONE NIGHT ONLY VIRTUAL CONCERT EXPERIENCE” ON APRIL 16TH

After building feverish anticipation and emerging as one of 2021’s most exciting artists to watch, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and actor Joshua Bassett releases his anxiously awaited self-titled debut EP on Warner Records—available HERE.   To celebrate the release, he just shared the music video for new single “Telling Myself ” – watch it HERE.

In addition to releasing the EP this week, Joshua will make an appearance at the 2021 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards tomorrow, March 13th, where he is nominated for Favorite Male TV Star.  Joshua will also perform a song from his EP on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on March 24th.  Furthermore, Joshua will treat fans to his first ever virtual show, “A Night With Joshua Bassett: A One Night Only Virtual Concert Experience,” on April 16th at 9:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM PT. Performing his songs for the first time with a band, Joshua will showcase his multi-instrumentalist and songwriting prowess. Tickets are on sale now at joshuabassettmerch.com

About the EP, Joshua said, “My debut EP is a rollercoaster of stories and emotions. It was written over the span of two years, so every song represents a different chapter of my life recently. It’s all about the messiness of relationships, the back and forth of falling into and falling out of love, and how those stories somehow come together into a cohesive chaos.”

The EP opens on the dreamy piano of “Sorry” as twinkling keys give way to his show-stopping delivery. Bass-y piano shuffles underneath the chantable hook, “She said, ‘You’ll be sorry when you left me, cause I’m the best thing that you aren’t ever gonna get again’.” Elsewhere, delicate fingerpicking carries the tender ballad “Do It All Again.” It culminates on the gorgeous “Heaven Is You” where he ignites one last uplifting refrain.

Joshua paved the way for the EP with “Lie Lie Lie” and “Only A Matter of Time” which received wide acclaim and established him as a breakthrough star. Teen Vogue raved, “‘Lie Lie Lie’ has a 2000s boy band feel in the best way – fun, acoustic, guitar-driven pop,” Elite Daily dubbed it “a total #mood,” and Billboard praised his “pop-rock talent, and ability not to mince words in his music.” The New York Times touted it on “The Playlist,” and Pop Sugar captured the excitement best with the admission, “I can’t wait to hear what other pop hits he has in store for his upcoming EP.”

Taking a moment to give back in a big way, Joshua recently pledged 100% of the proceeds from his merch store to the charity of the buyer’s choosing. Fans who pick up merchandise may pick one of five charities for their money to go to, all of which focus on youth-led movements or organizations led by next generation leaders, including A Long Walk Home, Jack, Teen Line, The Sunrise Movement, and The Young Feminist.  Joshua is also donating 100% of the proceeds of sales of his “Franklin” Build-A-Bear furry friend available at his online merch store to CASA of Los Angeles (CASA/LA). CASA mobilizes community volunteers to advocate for children and youth who have experienced abuse and neglect.  You can learn more about CASA/LA at casala.org.

Joshua Bassett may sing, write, act, and play multiple instruments, but he humbly identifies himself as “just a kid from San Diego who loves music.” Long before starring in the Disney+ original series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, generating millions of streams, and garnering widespread acclaim, he grew up surrounded by music in the suburb of Oceanside, CA. Described by many as an “old soul,” he played drums in church, taught himself ukulele, guitar, and piano, and wrote his first song for his homecoming date at 15. In addition to being homeschooled alongside his five sisters, he was able to strengthen his voice as a singer and actor in local theater productions. After various television parts on Dirty John, Grey’s Anatomy and more, he landed the lead role of Ricky in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series which premiered in November 2019. Simultaneously, he feverishly wrote music. Inking a deal with Warner Records, he unveiled his solo debut “Common Sense” and follow-up “Anyone Else” in 2020, laying the foundation for his debut EP out now.

K-Pop Cravity × “Bad Habits” Release

K-POP GROUP, CRAVITY, RELEASE

PERFORMANCE VIDEO FOR BAD HABITS

OFF THEIR 3RD ALBUM, SEASON3. [HIDEOUT: BE OUR VOICE]

K-Pop boy band, CRAVITY, has released their highly anticipated performance video for “Bad Habits” today. The B-side track is off their 3rd album, SEASON3. [HIDEOUT: BE OUR VOICE], released earlier this year. With an ambitious drive to turn the year 2021 into CRAVITY’s, the members wasted no time speaking to places like Good Day New YorkiHeartET CanadaRadio.com, and many more, about their success thus far and the creative process behind the album.

“We shot the performance video for “Bad Habits” using many new techniques we haven’t tried before, for example, shooting with night vision or lip-syncing to a lower angle camera through a glass pane. The dance routine was really fun to perform and suits the mood of the song really well,” says Rapper Allen. The leader of the group, Serim, adds “We had a very short time to prepare for our B-side track promotion, but we’ve worked super hard to complete it in success.”

The main theme for the performance video of “Bad Habits” is ‘Nocturnal,’ and viewers can see the members’ dynamic moves and performance on the night of the full moon. They’ve turned into bad boys with funky visuals and will draw full attention by showing more matured and developed skills. The song “Bad Habits” is meant to showcase a different side of the CRAVITY members with a more rough and tough persona. The lyrics tell a story of 9 members who will not collapse in this world but will clearly show their own way to survive through it. EXY from K-Pop Group Cosmic Girls (WJSN) participated as a lyricist on this track with underground trap beats. In addition, 3 CRAVITY members [Taeyoung, Allen, and Hyeongjun] participated in the draft version of the “Bad Habits” choreography, further showing their artistic abilities.

MORE INFO:

CRAVITY’s debut album, released in April 2020, SEASON1. [HIDEOUT: REMEMBER WHO WE ARE] caused a wave of intrigue and excitement here in the states, with mentions in PAPER MagazineAccessiHeartJ-14MTV NewsEarmilkTeen Vogueand Rolling Stonewho referred to their title track as “An anthemic track from the K-pop rookies that combines 808-style riffs with the melodic sensibilities of early-2000s boybands (extended dance break included).” In addition to that, CRAVITY made a splash on social media, debuting at No. 12 on Billboard’s Social 50 chart for the week dated April 25.

CRAVITY has also garnered the title “Super Rookie” over in Korea due to their debut album’s success, which hit No. 1 on the U.S. @iTunes Top K-Pop Albums chart, making them the first #Kpop rookie group to debut in 2020 to earn this achievement. CRAVITY has marked their relentless movement, sweeping the rookie of the year awards at various music awards ceremonies in Korea. Even after releasing only two albums, their achievements were more than enough to show their presence in the K-pop scene, giving them the title ‘2020 super rookie.’

The inspiration behind the name, CRAVITY, came to fruition through the combination of “Creativity” and “Gravity,” Starship Entertainment’s new boy band for the first time in five years since Monsta X. Consisting of nine members, [Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Woobin, Wonjin, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung, and Seongmin], CRAVITY, which is also an acronym for “Center of Gravity,” is meant to attract/gravitate listeners into their unique universe, by pulling them in with their creativity, charm, and pure talent. As humans, we all have our own “first experiences,”; whether that be in school, society, or in a relationship. When encountering new relationships, we sometimes prepare ourselves by running from the starting line at full speed, hearts racing, butterflies in our stomach, but at the same time, we are afraid. We are hopeful, but we also experience despair.

2021 Rolls-Royce Wraith

By: Krishan Narsinghani × Vivek Lalchandani × Emily Bunn × Vaughn Lowery

360 Magazine had the opportunity to drive the highly anticipated 2021 Rolls Royce Wraith Black Badge across Los Angeles. Bespoke from the Rolls Royce family, the Wraith distinguishably has a sportier handling as compared to other models. The souped-up luxury coupe delivers a smooth yet powerful drive. Turn up the radio and listen to members of the world of hip-hop praise driving the vehicle themselves. Who would want a chauffeur when you can climb behind the wheel of the Wraith yourself?

Design

With special detailing to the trim, plus black badge symbols, the Wraith is no joke when it comes to design. The phantom grill and the dark chrome spirit of ecstasy figure at the front of the car is a signature distinction of Rolls Royce vehicles. The rippling 21” carbon alloy composite wheels are detailed with the requisite black exterior detailing. The iced Selby Grey exterior of the Wraith, mixed with the interior’s red accents and metal appointments throughout, elevate the majesty of the car. As we drove along the coast of California, the Wraith glistened with a golden coat from the sun. In addition to the interior, the cabin is ultra-luxurious, and includes leather floor mats for those who embark on a slightly grittier driving experience.

Technology

The technology inside the Wraith crafted to create an out-of-this-world driving experience. While seated in the vehicle, drivers need not a sunroof to watch the stars because with the Wraith’s galaxy lights, the night sky is shining within finger’s tips reach. These lights create a stunning, serene atmosphere that makes inhabiting the Wraith feel astronomical glitzy. However, if you’re looking for more luxury, utilize the Wraith’s heat and cool controlled, massage chair seats. Recline and relax as you tune into the 1,300-watt Bespoke Audio System, which uses an 18-channel amplifier with 18 speakers throughout the vehicle for the optimal listening experience. Easily surf between radio channels using the touch dial to navigate through the touchscreen dashboard, which provides navigation systems and access to all of the car’s multimedia features. When you decide to start your journey in the Wraith, comfortably situate yourself into the car and allow the electronic-closing doors to do the heavy lifting for you. The backup and side cameras provide 360 views of the car, so you can feel safe and in control as you start your next adventure.

Performance

Rolls Royce stuck to their roots when it came to driving the Wraith. The black badge is powered by a silky smooth 6.6 liter turbocharged V12 engine that outputs 623 horsepower and 642 lb/ft torque, up from the 605 lb/ft the regular Wraith puts out. While those numbers sound incredible, the car also weighs in just over 5375 lbs, or in other words, almost as much as a Cadillac Escalade. Needless to say, drivers won’t be winning many races against most other cars, which have 600+ horsepower. The advantage of driving a Rolls Royce is the smoothness though, which is exactly where the Wraith delivers with transmission performance and power. Shifts are almost imperceptible, causing the Wraith to sometimes feel like an electric vehicle. Power from the V12 builds with absolutely no vibrations in the cabin.

Ergonomics

When it comes to suspension, the Wraith rides like a dream. Literally, sometimes you may need to pinch yourself to make sure you’re still awake. Noise, vibration and harshness are almost completely eliminated. The near 123 in. wheelbase ensures the ride is incredibly smooth and planted. All power is pushed to the rear wheels with air suspension standard on all four corners. This gives the Wraith the most ideal suspension setup for a long distance cruise. Drivers will wield an immense amount of power, a beautiful hand-crafted interior, and a suspension that allows you to have fun maneuvering corners, while maintaining stability on any type of pavement.

The 2021 Wraith is not for the car enthusiast, but is perfect for the everyday, casual driver who prefers comfort over aggressive driving dynamics. This ultimate grand touring machine starts in at $338,000 base price, however buyers can pay to customize more of the car’s features. Our Black Badge tester retails at $485,325. If you’re looking for a suave ride and prestigious interior, the Wraith is worth the wait.

VERIVERY by Taeon (CEO)at REELS Corporation for use by 360 Magazine

VERIVERY TOPS BILLBOARD CHARTS

In 2020, VERIVERY debuted on top of the Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Chart with “G.B.T.B.”, the title track of their 5th EP, “FACE US.” “G.B.T.B.” is an acronym for “Go Beyond The Barrier,” showcasing VERIVERY’s hope that they can overcome any obstacles. The group is drawing attention as the new rising stars of K-pop with their impressive Billboard record that K-pop’s other leading artists have yet to achieve.

Forbes highlighted their latest two single release, SERIES ‘O’ [ROUND1: HALL], which features the tracks “Get Away” and “Numbness”. Through the interview with Forbes, they revealed that their universe is deepening and expanding. The music video is hot, filled with performances and moments that show the transformation of members throughout the party. It will be a matter of time before VERIVERY once again tops the Billboard chart.

‘Get Away’ – A tale about finding your true self and facing temptation.

‘Get Away’ is a grand track that features reggae-pop, giving the song a fatal but dreamy atmosphere. In the video, an unknown presence in the dark invites VERIVERY to a crazy party. The members face inner darkness, not knowing what is going to happen.

VERIVERY’s sweet voices sounds as if they are trying to fight back against the darkness. Their angelic whispers makes it seem like they are trying to hide their black wings and stay innocent, but eventually they spread out their dark-black wings and fall into the crazy party scene. They want to get away, but feel as if they’re trapped and falling deep within a dream. Is this party a sweet apple, or a poisonous one? It’s a sweet temptation–just like the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge–but once you bite into the apple it awakens the inner devil.

VERIVERY’s outfits get even darker and showier as they transform from boys to men.

At the beginning of the music video, the boys wore casual sweaters, knits, and hoodies to express their pureness. Curious boys with casual outfits at a camping site find themselves in an unknown place after receiving a mysterious invitation to a party. They wake in another location with black suits, but change into striped suits and leather jackets after eating a suspicious well-prepared meal on the table. It’s as if they’re facing themselves, but in a different parallel world VERIVERY’s neat black suits, silver accessories, and dark smokey makeup at the end signify the changing of each members as they face the dark inside.

We should also pay attention to the costumes and accessories that change as VERIVERY’s emotion changes. Those who face their inner selves try to destroy each other in the chaos. The curious young boys are nowhere, only the men are standing at the end of the party.

Music Streaming Revenues Jump

Music Streaming Revenues to Hit $23B in 2021:

A 50% Jump Compared to pre-COVID-19 Figures

Like many other sectors, the music industry has been significantly affected by COVID-19, with the massive cancelation of live events and huge ticket sales revenue drops amid the lockdown. With earnings from live music events shrunk to the lowest level in history, artists increasingly rely on income from streaming platforms. According to data presented by BuyShares.co.nz, music streaming revenues are expected to hit $23bn in 2021, a 50% increase compared to pre-COVID-19 figures.

Revenues to Jump by $3.3bn in a Year, Number of Users to hit 620 Million

Even before the pandemic, the music streaming industry witnessed impressive growth, with revenues rising by a CARG of 20% year-over-year. Statista survey showed that in 2017, the unified market was worth $10.5bn. In the next two years, this figure jumped to $15.2bn. However, last year, music streaming platforms witnessed the biggest annual revenue growth, as COVID-19 halted live events. Statistics show that revenues surged by almost 30% year-over-year and hit $19.7bn in 2020. The ongoing lockdown is expected to continue driving a rise in music streaming consumption, with revenues growing by another $3.3bn this year. By 2025, the entire market is forecast to hit a $33.3bn value. The Statista survey showed the number of people using music streaming platforms also surged amid the pandemic and jumped from 425.6 million in 2019 to 626.2 million in 2021. More than 900 million people worldwide are expected to use music streaming services in the next four years.

Spotify hit 155 Million Premium Subscribers in 2020, Double than Apple Music

As the world’s largest music streaming market, the United States is expected to reach 100.7 million users and $8.7bn in revenue in 2021, a 16.6% increase in a year. The Chinese market, the second-largest market globally, is forecast to grow by 20% YoY and hit $2.2bn value this year, almost four times less than the leading US. Nevertheless, with 177.7 million users in 2021, the country has the largest number of people using music streaming services globally. According to Hootsuite’s Digital 2021 Report, more than 81% of surveyed internet users in China reported listening to music streaming services last year. The United Kingdom ranked as the third-largest music streaming market with $1.4bn in revenue this year.

As the biggest music streaming service globally, Spotify (NYSE: SPOT) hit 345 million monthly active users and 155 million premium subscribers in December 2020, a 25% jump in a year. While Apple (AAPL: NASDAQ) hasn’t publicly commented on its subscriber count since reaching 60 million in June 2019, estimates from MIDiA Research put Apple Music subscribers at 72 million in 2020, or half the Spotify count.

Housewarming Party 101

How to Host the Ultimate In-Person or Virtual Celebration

By: Hippo Insurance

Housewarming parties have always been hallmarked by gift-giving. And while today’s housewarming gifts tend to be things like glassware, charcuterie boards or books, this wasn’t always the case. The tradition of housewarming parties began during medieval times, where it took on a very literal meaning. Central heating wasn’t around yet, so homeowners had to rely on fireplaces to stay warm during the cold winter months. This meant that housewarming parties of centuries past often involved gifts of firewood to help the family stay warm and healthy in their new home.

But today, as accustomed as you are to throwing a housewarming party, you’d likely be concerned if a guest showed up with a pile of firewood as a gift (and rightly so). Your new home might not even have a fireplace! But that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate your purchase.

Housewarming parties are a rite of passage for new homeowners, though, in today’s climate, you may be wondering if you should even throw one at all. But there are plenty of ways to go about celebrating that keep everyone safe and happy. From backyard festivities to Zoom parties, our guide will help you throw the ultimate pandemic-friendly celebration.

What traditionally has made a great housewarming party?

Whether you plan to go all out when decorating your home for a housewarming party, or you want to go the more low-key route, there are a few elements that make any housewarming party great. The first? A guest list full of close family and friends. Other must-haves include food, drinks and activities to keep everyone entertained all night long. Here’s a quick to-do list to make sure your party goes off without a hitch:

  1. Make a guest list
  2. Set a date and a theme (if you want one)
  3. Send out invitations
    1. You can mail out traditional invitations, send an evite or just create a Facebook event page
  4. Get plenty of snacks and drinks
  5. Buy games or activities for everyone to play
    1. Not the game type? Turn on your favorite movie in the background or make a playlist to set the mood
  6. Give the house a final deep clean
  7. Set the stage
    1. Add mood lighting, decorate, create a food/drink station and make sure to set out enough utensils and seating for your guests

Of course, you can always add or remove some of the steps above to better tailor your to-do list to your housewarming party specifications. As long as you make your party representative of what you want your life in your new home to be like, you’re off to a great start.

Options for hosting a (safe) housewarming party

Given the pandemic, it’s safe to say that housewarming parties aren’t what they used to be. While people are still buying up homes left and right (especially it’s a smart home that makes the pandemic a bit easier), get-togethers have slowed to a halt. New homeowners looking to celebrate their big purchase throughout 2020 may have had to trim their guest lists significantly or considered canceling their parties altogether.

But the celebrations don’t have to stop in order to keep people safe — quite the opposite, in fact! From backyard (socially distanced) parties to drive-by or Zoom get-togethers, there are plenty of options available that let new homeowners show off their digs while keeping everyone healthy.

Backyard housewarming party ideas

Backyard get-togethers are always a hit, and given how much safer outdoor events are than indoor events, it’s a no brainer when it comes to hosting a housewarming party. Still want to give tours of your new place? Make sure to only bring a few people indoors at a time and wear your masks. If you set up enough games, the rest of your guests won’t even realize you’re gone. Check out our suggestions for backyard housewarming party themes below.

  • Say aloha to our new home-a
    • Throw a Hawaiian-themed bash in your backyard, complete with leis for the guests, a tiki bar and plenty of games like limbo and hula hoop competitions.
  • Home is s’more fun with friends
    • Set up tents at least six feet apart and get a bonfire going — complete with all the s’more fixings — for a camp-out party guests of all ages are sure to love.
  • Let’s ketchup with a housewarming BBQ
    • Grill up something juicy and set up plenty of tables throughout your backyard so that everyone can chow down safely. Bonus points if you set up an outdoor handwashing station and plenty of games to keep the party going.

8 housewarming party games and downloadables

Once you’ve decided what kind of party you want to throw (as well as your party’s theme), the next step is to plan out the games and decor for the ultimate get-together. Lucky for you, our team has gathered plenty of games to help you kick off your first year in your new home with ease.

  1. Housewarming sign

When hosting a drive-by event, your home’s decor will need to be focused on the front yard. One of the easiest ways to highlight your new home and thank your guests for swinging by is through a customizable yard sign. Download the interactive PDF and update it with your address or your new home’s nickname. Attach a few of them to a table full of treats by the street before the party starts to kick the night off right.

  1. Cornhole and tour game

Cornhole is a classic backyard party game. And it turns out there’s a major safety bonus as well, as it helps keep everyone at least six feet apart. Use this game to your advantage by rotating your guests in and out of your home. That way, everyone gets a tour and stays entertained while they wait outside. If you don’t have a cornhole set, you can also play other socially distanced games such as lawn bowling, Ladderball or Kan Jam.

  1. Champagne label

Toasting your new home is a must during a housewarming party, no matter if you’re physically with your guests or not. Send your guests a bottle of champagne to use during your housewarming Zoom party and add a fun, celebratory label to the bottles before shipping for a night they won’t forget.

  1. Homeowner history game

Find out just how much your friends know about you with a homeowner history game, perfect for Zoom and backyard parties alike. Have your guests grab a pen and paper and make their best guesses to tough questions like:

  • How many roommates did I have before buying this home?
  • What city am I from originally?
  • What day did I officially move in?
  • How many houses did I tour before buying this home?
  • What’s my real estate agent’s name?
  • How long have I lived in this city?

Bust out this game at the beginning of the party to break the ice. For a prize, give the winner a gift card to a home cleaning service or a package of cookies shaped like keys.

  1. Advice booklet

There is often a steep learning curve when it comes to owning your first home. You can no longer rely on your landlord or your condo’s maintenance team to fix your dishwasher when it breaks. You’re on your own now.

Get a head start on learning the ins and outs of owning a home (like how to protect your stuff with personal property insurance) by asking for advice from your friends and family. These printable advice cards are a great addition to any backyard or Zoom party, and once you’ve collected all your friend’s advice, you can turn the pages into a cute coffee table booklet.

  1. Lip syncing competition (home edition)

Once the drinks have been flowing, have your guests take turns lip-syncing and performing their hearts out. But this competition has a housewarming twist. The song has to mention a house or home in some fashion, so make sure to give your guests some heads up to find the perfect song. Expect to see powerhouse performances of classics like “Brick House” by The Commodores or “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and be prepared to crown a winner at the end of the night.

  1. New home trivia

One of the most important parts of a housewarming party is the tour of your new home. After all, the point of the party is to show off, right? You can easily turn the tour into a fun game with this interactive new home trivia downloadable. Send it to your guests after the tour is complete and see how much they can remember about your new place.

You can quiz them on anything from the number of windows on the first floor to the color of your bathroom cabinets. We even included a few fill-in-the-blank questions so that you can customize the game to your home.

  1. Famous houses guessing game

Monica’s apartment from “Friends” may be easily recognizable, but how many would recognize her apartment building when they see it? Or what about the house from “Home Alone?” Test your guests’ pop culture knowledge with a slideshow of houses from famous movies and TV shows (or just send them this quiz to take). No matter if you’re hosting your housewarming in person or virtually, your guests are sure to love battling it out to be crowned the King or Queen of pop culture. Make sure to add in houses from some of the following shows and movies for a quiz that’s sure to puzzle:

  • 10 Things I Hate About You
  • Breaking Bad
  • Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
  • Friends
  • Full House
  • Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
  • Home Alone
  • Modern Family
  • Mrs. Doubtfire
  • New Girl
  • The Fresh Prince of Bel Air

As a new homeowner, there are likely a few stressful things on your to-do list, like building an emergency preparedness kit or getting an insurance binder, but throwing a housewarming party shouldn’t be one of them.
