Rolls-Royce Phantom Phenoms

Rolls-Royce Phantom sits at the apex of the luxury world, gracing some of the most formative moments of the past century. It is the motor car that proudly counts many of the world’s most influential and revered individuals among its wealthy collectors. As the brand has evolved, so has the face of the patrons of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and that face today is more and more feminine. Patronnes who sit at the apex of their business and industries. From Beverly Hills to Dallas, Miami, Austin, and Washington DC, these women excel as leading realtors, designers, jewellery magnates and personal services entrepreneurs. Their charitable efforts span an array of causes. Rolls-Royce captured each Phenom’s passion and personality alongside Rolls-Royce Phantoms in creating a visual gallery of their common excellence and Rolls-Royce and its dealers will kick off a series of local events to honor these individuals.

Like a Phantom, each of these owners have a commanding presence and have built their own success being the best at what they do. They never stay in one lane. They have aimed high and delivered for themselves and their community. Exhibiting elegance, presence, and compassion, Phantom Phenoms share a passion for their philanthropic efforts that make them stand out in their communities.

Martin Fritsches, President & CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Americas, commented, “Phantom Phenoms exhibit an aura of presence and power reminiscent of Rolls-Royce Phantom. Each of them has defined and achieved their own success, and we are honored they have chosen a Rolls-Royce motor car to help celebrate that success. We invite everyone to join us in applauding their success in business and their passion in giving back to their community.”

Rolls-Royce looks forward to the series of events this fall. Each event is designed to raise funds for a local or national charity supported by the Phantom Phenom. Events will take place when deemed safe given CDC guidelines.

Saint Motel Share Official Music Video for “Preach”

Watch the music video HERE.

Elektra recording group Saint Motel have shared the official video for their latest single ‘Preach.’  Directed by frontman A/J Jackson and longtime collaborator Mario Contini, the video brings the infectious track to life, highlighted by Jackson himself performing choreographed dance moves alongside the LA Roller Girls. Saint Motel embraces pandemic chic culture featuring couture personal protective equipment. Watch the video here. The track is available at all DSPs and streaming services here, and appears on the band’s forthcoming THE ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK: PART 2, due for release September 18th and serves as the second installment of their three-part album, THE ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK.

Remaining on the cutting edge of innovation, Saint Motel make history as “the first band to open their own virtual world” powered by Mozilla Hubs. On Monday night, the quartet’s New World launch welcomed fans to the virtual space where Jackson performed a live acoustic set. In this 3D VR chatroom enabled for all headsets and browsers, audiences can enter an exclusive, immersive environment to engage directly with the band through virtual meet-and-greets and intimate, live performances, consume exclusive video content, and much more. Additionally, it doubles as a space for fans to congregate and get to know each other as well. Saint Motel’s New World upholds what has become a tradition of engaging with groundbreaking technology for the guys. Visit www.saintmotel.com/newworld to explore the New World. In 2016, they dropped their Elektra full length debut saintmotelevision as the first-ever Virtual Reality album and first-ever Augmented Reality album and accompanied the record with the free Saintmotelevision app.

PART 1 was heralded by the infectious lead single ‘Van Horn.’ Known for their cinematic aesthetic, the band brought the western-themed official music video for track  directed by Saint Motel frontman A/J Jackson to life with an inventive performance on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! Earlier this year, the band sold out their entire North American headline tour in support of PART 1, culminating with hometown finale in Los Angeles, days before the country went into quarantine due to COVID-19.

In recent months, Saint Motel has made a concerted effort to mobilize their fans to join them on a pair of philanthropic causes through special, limited edition merchandise. With blood donations needed now more than ever, the band has partnered with The American Red Cross to offer a Just My Blood Type enamel pin, available for free to those who donate blood. Named for their breakout hit ‘Just My Type,’ the pins are also available for purchase with 100% of net profits going to The American Red Cross. Likewise, Saint Motel has joined with the National Independent Venue Association’s #SaveOurStages campaign to ask Congress to provide aid to their network of nearly 2,000 independent live music venues across the country, many of which the band has performed, that have been 100% shut down with zero revenue due to the pandemic. All profits from a special Saint Motel X Save Our Stages tour t-shirt will go directly to NIVA’s efforts. Both items are available in the Saint Motel Gift Shop.

7715 New Song and Video

The Southern California-based alternative pop band 7715 released a new song titled “Lost in Boston” on Tuesday.

The song is accompanied by a music video that you can see by clicking right here.

The lyrics of the song suggest the band has met someone in Boston they love spending time with. The video leads us to believe they’d prefer the sunny beaches of Southern California, but they’re willing to stick around in Boston for a minute if it means they can get a personal tour of the city from this stranger at the bar.

“Lost in Boston” follows “Gone,” 7715’s song from earlier this year featuring Lil Aaron, and this summertime anthem will be featured on the band’s debut EP “Encino,” which is slated to release in September.

7715 most recently accompanied Bryce Vine and Mod Sun and is comprised of four members. JP Clark, the songwriter, has written for artists like Blink 182, blackbear, Bryce Vine and Lukas Graham. Stu Da Boi raps, Tyler Wilson sings and Daniel Geraghty plays guitar and produces the songs.

Their name came from the address of the house that came to be the band’s birthplace. While partying, jamming and partying some more, they found that they could combine their talents to make songs that are magnets to ears.

Homeschool Experts Recommend

Camping as a Virtual Learning Tool

With virtual schooling and family camping both skyrocketing as the result of COVID-19, Hip Homeschool Moms, a Parents magazine 2020 “Best Homeschooling Resource,” and Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park have teamed up to help struggling parents create fun, educational learning opportunities.

According to Jellystone Park, reservations are spiking as many schools open virtually and parents work from home, allowing families more flexibility to travel.

“Whether parents are using online curriculums provided by schools or are homeschooling, it’s important that they find ways to make learning fun,” said Trish Corlew, co-founder of the website HipHomeschoolMoms. “Most kids need to do more than sit in front of a screen to learn, which is why we are such big fans of camping. It provides so many great, hands-on educational opportunities.”

Hip Homeschool Moms has these tips for parents on how to include a late summer or fall camping trip in their virtual or homeschool plans:

  1. Look for family friendly campgrounds, such as Jellystone Park. They offer activities that entertain and educate kids, such as Bingo and arts and crafts, which supplement planned learning. They also provide socialization opportunities that are needed with classrooms closed and homeschool field trips and other activities on hold.
  2. Involve the kids in planning and managing the trip.Part of the learning experience is allowing kids to help with researching campgrounds, setting the budget for the trip and buying necessary supplies. And once you’re at the campground, let the kids help take care of the RV or cabin. They love responsibilities like these because it makes them feel grown up. These are life skills they will soon need.
  3. Check the campground’s Wi-Fi in advance.
Call the campground to make sure it offers sufficient Internet access. If not, rent or buy a mobile hotspot to make sure you have enough bandwidth for online lessons, movie streaming and staying in touch with friends, family and work.
  4. Use online lessons and apps.Online lessons perfect for camping are widely available to help children study leaves, trees, rocks, flowers and wildlife. There also are apps designed for outdoor learning, as well as printable activities and games to take with you.
  5. Read and walk together.Camping provides the ideal environment to spend time as a family. Read aloud together, taking turns on different pages to help reluctant readers improve their skills. Or have the kids read independently and share what they learned. Scavenger hunts with printed or app-based guides encourage togetherness and learning.
  6. Visit local attractions. Many campgrounds are located near natural and historic sites. Consider stopping at some on the way to or from your campground. Museums and science centers can make for great day trips, especially on rainy days.
  7. Encourage your children to share what they learn.Kids love to tell stories, take pictures and produce videos. Have them record the weather, plants and animals they observe, and their activities. Journaling and scrapbooking also are great ways to get the most educational value from a trip and to preserve memories.

“Even before the pandemic, fall camping had become extremely popular with families, especially with most Jellystone Park locations offering special fall events, such as Halloween weekends,” said Trent Hershenson, Jellystone Park vice president of Marketing. He encourages parents to book trips now and to consider weekday visits, as weekends book up quickly. Weekday rates also may be lower.

TikTok Announces Deal with UnitedMasters

TikTok Announces Deal with UnitedMasters, the First Distributor to be Fully Integrated into the TikTok Platform

TikTok, the short-form video app with a mission to inspire creativity and bring joy, announces a new deal with UnitedMasters, the leading platform for music distribution for independent artists, that will allow full integration between both services directly through the TikTok app. With this deal, UnitedMasters becomes the first music distribution company to be integrated into TikTok.

The partnership between TikTok and UnitedMasters enables TikTok users to distribute the music directly to other music streaming platforms. TikTok will opt all music from its creators who join UnitedMasters into the platform’s Commercial Music Library, with the artistߣs blessing, giving businesses access to a large catalog of new sounds to use in their content. TikTok will also partner with UnitedMasters in promoting key artists on the platform.

Known as a music discovery springboard for viral hits from unknown artists, TikTok is also a growing destination for artists looking to showcase their craft and engage new fans. Artists like Curtis Roach, Curtis Waters, Breland, Tai Verdes, BMW Kenny, ppcocaine, and Avenue Beat preview original music directly on the app, creating the momentum that leads to a trending hit. Other emerging artists, like Shuba, Blu DeTiger, and Kid Sistr use TikTok as a platform for creative performances, showing off instrumental and vocal chops.

TikTok’s new integration with UnitedMasters will make it even easier for artists and creators on TikTok to translate trending activity into career success. Several UnitedMasters artistsߣ music have flourished TikTok including songs by NLE Choppa, BMW Kenny, and Tobe Nwigwe.

If you are a musical artist, TikTok is the best place for your music to go viral and UnitedMasters is the best place to sustain it while retaining full ownership of your work,” Steve Stoute, CEO and Founder of UnitedMasters. “By combining the two, we create the platform for tomorrow’s stars who will be famous, fiercely independent and wealthy.”

Creators are the beating heart of the TikTok community, often inspired by the artists who bring their music to the platform, and providing a haven for them to thrive is key to our mission,” says Kevin Mayer, CEO of TikTok. “The new partnership with United Masters makes it even easier for musicians and creators to reach new fans and earn a living doing what they love, directly from the platform.”

The company recently announced a $1 billion TikTok Creator Fund to help support ambitious creators looking to foster a livelihood through their innovative content. TikTok has become the go-to staging ground that has helped previously little known or undiscovered artists like Lil Nas X, Ambjaay, StaySolidRocky, Powfu, BENEE, Y2K, bbno$, and many others find mainstream fame and dominate the charts.

“TikTok artists who are creating music in their bedrooms today will be featured in the Billboard charts tomorrow,” says Ole Obermann, Global Head of Music at TikTok. “Our mission is to help those artists achieve their creative potential and success. We will give them the tools they need to succeed, and have partnered with social media service providers to provide them tools to grow their TikTok followers. We partnered with Virall.com to give all creators who are apart of this fund active TikTok likes for cheap. This partnership with UnitedMasters gives us a turn-key solution to help artists who are born on TikTok to reach their fans on every music service.”

DNC Recap

By Eamonn Burke

The Democratic National Convention kicked off it’s virtual event last night, starting with speeches by prominent politicians including Bernie Sanders, John Kasich, Andrew Cuomo, and a keynote by Michelle Obama.

There were also powerful words delivered by George Floyd’s brother, Philonese Floyd, and Kristin Urquiza, who lost her father to Covid-19. “My dad was a healthy 65-year-old. His only pre-existing condition was trusting Donald Trump, and for that, he paid with his life,” she scathed, adding that her vote for Joe Biden would be in his honor. Mr. Floyd called for a moment of silence and for remembrance of those who have died from racial injustice to continue far beyond the night.

The politicians also denounced Trump and backed Biden strongly. Cuomo hailed Biden as having all of the characteristics of a true leader: a unifier, a builder, “as good as our people,” he said. “That man is Joe Biden.”

Kasich, a former Republican Governor of Ohio, acknowledged that he disagrees with Biden on some topics, but “that’s OK because that’s America.” Ultimately, he recognized that Joe Biden “can bring us together to help us find that better way.”

Senator Bernie Sanders, the former rival of Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination, made a strong appeal to emotion, highlighting the incredibly high stakes in this election and the importance of defeating President Donald Trump. “The future of our planet is at stake” he pleaded. “My friends, the price of failure is just too great to imagine.”

Lastly, Michelle Obama ended the night with a strong moral case against President Trump. She painted the current government as being one of “chaos, division and a total and utter lack of empathy,” and called Trump “the wrong president for our country.”

“If we have any hope of ending this chaos, we have got to vote for Joe Biden like our lives depend on it,” said the former First Lady. Trump lashed back at Obama, tweeting that he would not be in the White House if not for the work of her husband, and calling the Obama-Biden administration “the most corrupt in history.

As far as logistics of the convention, the lack of a traditional setting was noticeable, and many of the speeches were pre recorded. Trump slammed Michelle Obama for this, denouncing her for having the wrong COVID-19 numbers. Democrats has planned to convene in Milwaukee, but later decided to move entirely online. Actress Eva Longoria was brought on as the host of the show to create a more personable atmosphere. Video clips, montages, and performances were also infused into the event.

The second night of the DNC featured a role call which officially nominated Joe Biden for the Democratic presidential ticket. It also featured more speeches from past politicians on both sides, such as former President Bill Clinton (D) and former Secretary of State Colin Powell (R). There were new faces as well, like U.S Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D). The night ended with Joe’s wife Jill speaking. The event was hosted by actress Tracee Ellis Ross.

Clinton focused on the economy in his speech, highlighting the U.S as “the only major industrial economy to have its unemployment rate triple” despite Trump claiming how well we are doing as a country. Ocasio-Cortez used her speech to second the nomination of Bernie Sanders, a formality for a candidate over a threshold of 300 delegates.

Joe Biden and his family made a virtual appearance from a classroom to accept the nomination, and he appeared later on after his wife’s speech.

In her speech, Jill Biden made a case for why her husband had the capacity and experience to understand the hardships that American families are going through in this crisis. She mentioned the death of their son, Beau, from cancer, and how he was able to help her through that time. The compliments went both ways, as Joe called her “so damn tough and loyal.” Dr. Biden assured viewers that “if we entrust this nation to Joe, he will do for your family what he did for ours.”

On night three of the DNC, Kamala Harris was historically nominated as the first black and Asian woman to feature on a major presidential ticket. In her speech, Harris told her story of being an immigrant – the daughter of India and Jamaican immigrants – and used it to empathize with so many in a similar situation. She then went after Trump, delving into his moral and ethical flaws: “I know a predator when I see one” she assured. She finished off by speaking about inequities, especially racial ones. “There is no vaccine for racism” she said in a her call to action. “We’ve gotta do the work.”

Later in the night Hillary Clinton spoke, delivering a somber warning against repeating the mistakes made in 2016, when she lost to Donald Trump: “this can’t be another ‘woulda, coulda, shoulda’ election.” She pleaded for viewers to vote, as was a main theme in throughout the DNC. Lastly, she praised the record breaking amount of women continuing to appear in government, including Senator Harris, but acknowledged the work still to be done.

President Obama’s speech brought something considerably rare for a former president to do: he attacked President Trump. He labeled Trump as blatantly inadequate for the job of president: “Donald Trump hasn’t grown into the job because he can’t, and the consequences of that failure are severe.”

The night also featured a performance by Billie Eilish of her new unreleased song “My Future.” It was followed by a message about the importance of voting.

The fourth and final night officially nominated Joe Biden as the 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate. In his speech, he covered his policy plans from the coronavirus to guns to Medicare, while also addressing the economic recession caused by the pandemic as well as the racial reckoning going on in the country as a result of inequalities. He also spoke of the and Harris’ personal stories, and how they informed them to be ready for the job. The speech drew acclaim from both parties.

“Here and now I give you my word,” said Biden. “If you entrust me with the presidency, I will draw on the best of us, not the worst. I will be an ally of the light, not the darkness.”

Sameer Gadhia – Point of Origin

Sameer Gadhia, frontman for platinum selling rock band Young The Giant, is set to launch Point Of Origin, a spotlight feature highlighting hand-picked, culturally-diverse, musical discoveries in the alternative space, airing regularly on SiriusXM’s Alt Nation (ch.36), starting today.

Gadhia explains: “By its very definition, alternative music is supposed to challenge boundaries by providing new and unheard possibilities. Though the sonic landscape is diverse, the limelight has cast a vastly monochromatic field. I am living proof that this is not so, and my aim is to illuminate artists who express the truest definition of what alternative is and should be by identifying what connects us all to our shared love of music. Through this platform, I want to create opportunity for artists of color and help foster a divergent narrative for today and tomorrow’s alternative music scene.”

Hosted and curated by Gadhia, Point Of Originwill focus on one artist over a two-week period by granting heavy, on-air exposure to one song from the artist. This will also be accompanied by commentary from Gadhia on the hand-picked artist and song. The first artist to be featured is Pennsylvania-native and a Pigeons & Planes New Artist to Watch in 2020, binki, who describes his sound as “packed with equal parts riotous funk, cavalier rap, with a bratty-rock swagger.” After creating buzz across the blog circuit, touring with Benee and Still Woozy, binki’s “Sea Sick” will garner its first national radio airplay as the first featured song on Point of Origin. For more information, visit www.pointoforigin.world.

Gadhia had been called “one of the great contemporary rock voices” by The New York Times, he is the son of immigrants from Ahmadabad, India, who came to the U.S. in the 80’s shortly before he was born. Issues of culture and diversity have been something he’s ruminated on for most of his life, both consciously and subconsciously. The band’s 2016 album Home of the Strange deliberately honed in on the modern American immigrant story, a theme that was especially relevant to the quintet as they’re each from different ethnic backgrounds with most being immigrants themselves or first-generation Americans. Gadhia wrote about balancing the two very different worlds of his ethnicity and nationality in an editorial piece for Salon (read HERE), and also had an in-depth conversation with NPR’s Ailsa Chang on the topic for “Weekend Edition” (listen/see HERE).

Young the Giant is currently writing and recording music for their next album, much of which was chronicled in the band’s “Song A Day” project which sees band members sharing music clips with each other over Instagram, culminating with a completed song each Saturday. Fans can watch the process in their Instagram highlights HERE.
SiriusXM subscribers can listen to Alt Nation (ch. 36) and other channels on SiriusXM radios, and those with streaming access can listen online, on-the-go with the SiriusXM mobile app and at home on a wide variety of connected devices, including smart TVs, devices with Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant, Apple TV, PlayStation, Roku, Sonos speakers and more. The SiriusXM app also offers additional features such as SiriusXM video, Personalized Stations Powered by Pandora that listeners can curate themselves, and an On Demand library with more than 10,000 hours of archived shows, exclusive music performances, interviews and audio documentaries. Joor × Chalhoub

Today, Chalhoub Group, the luxury goods retailer and distributor headquartered in Dubai, and Level Shoes, the globally recognized retail concept and destination dedicated to the world of footwear, entered into an exclusive partnerships with JOOR, the world’s industry-standard digital wholesale platform for fashion. Chalhoub Group and Level Shoes join JOOR’s list of more than 30 exclusive retail partners, which includes traditional retailers like Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Harrods and Printemps along with e-commerce based retailers such as 24 Sevres, Shopbop and East Dane. Three quarters of the world’s luxury brands use the JOOR platform to conduct their wholesale business.

Chalhoub Group, which includes Level Shoes and the department store Tryano will use JOOR to power their digital expansion across the Middle East. With this new partnership, Chalhoub joins an exclusive list of 200,000 retailers who can connect with over 8,600 brands worldwide. The rich features of JOOR’s wholesale management platform include seamless navigation of the rapidly changing fashion world using advanced order management, and unprecedented business intelligence via a suite of customizable reports.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chalhoub Group to JOOR’s roster of enterprise retailers,” said Kristin Savilia, CEO of JOOR. “There has never been a more critical time for retailers to use technology as a competitive advantage, enabling 24/7 shop accessibility to buyers and brands from anywhere in the world.”

JOOR’s partnership with Level Shoes comes amidst an increased effort to bring footwear customers onto the JOOR platform and supports JOOR’s push into the Middle East. Earlier this month JOOR announced a partnership with the Arab Fashion Council  to collectively work to digitize Middle Eastern brands. By giving Chalhoub Group and Level Shoes a centralized place to grow their businesses, JOOR will play a key role in helping the companies increase their data insights, orders and access the opportunity of online wholesale growth.

“Digital transformation is something our industry needs to embrace quickly,” said Rania Masri, Chief Transformation Officer of Chalhoub Group. “It was important to us to select a truly global platform which is already used by our brand partners, making it easy for our buyers to build their assortments. It has also been a great experience working with the JOOR team to roll out the platform across Level Shoes and Tryano.”
