Since 2015, she has amassed over 25 billion streams worldwide and sold more than 11 million adjusted albums globally. She has played sold out dates on five continents (including New York City’s Madison Square Garden), been nominated for a GRAMMY® and appeared on a wide variety of magazine covers, including Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, NYLON, Forbes, Playboy and Billboard. Her 2015 debut album, BADLANDS, was certified Platinum by the RIAA within one year of its release. Halsey claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 with 2017’s Platinum-certified hopeless fountain kingdom, which contained such hits as the 2x Platinum “Now or Never” and the 4x Platinum “Bad at Love.”

The success of the 6x Platinum “Without Me” has made Halsey the first and only female artist to have at least three songs chart on the Billboard Hot 100 for 50 weeks each. Rounding out the trio of songs are the 4x Platinum “Eastside,” her collaboration with Benny Blanco and Khalid, and The Chainsmokers’ 11x Platinum “Closer,” which she featured on. “Without Me,” which took Favorite Song, Pop/Rock honors at the American Music Awards, spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 in early 2019, marking her first solo single to reach the top spot. It now ranks as the longest-running Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit by a female artist of this century. She is the first artist to rank at Nos. 1 and 2 simultaneously on Billboard’s Hot 100 Pop Songs radio airplay chart. In March 2019, Halsey became the first artist in history to replace herself at No. 1 twice on the U.S. Pop Songs Airplay chart when “Without Me” returned to No. 1, bumping “Eastside” from the top spot. “Without Me” was the most-played song of 2019 at U.S. radio. She featured on BTS’ Platinum hit, “Boy With Luv,” and, more recently, alongside Future on “Die for Me,” a track from Post Malone’s new album.

Halsey continues to push creative boundaries, expanding her influence and impact beyond music. After making her film debut in the animated 2018 summer movie Teen Titans GO! as the voice of Wonder Woman, she was seen in A Star is Born, starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. She continues to use her voice to speak up for causes she passionately believes in, including disenfranchised youth, women’s rights, mental health and the LGBTQ community. GLAAD honored her in 2018 as “Outstanding Music Artist.” In 2019, she has won an AMA, the Hal David Starlight Award, presented by the Songwriters Hall of Fame, a VMA and two Teen Choice Awards.

Jonas Brothers will pull out all the stops next Sunday January 26 when they perform “What A Man Gotta Do” live for the very first time at the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards® in Los Angeles. Plus, they vie for the “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” statue at the ceremony.

The song arrives hot on the heels of the band’s blockbuster comeback album, Happiness Begins. Not only did it bow at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, go platinum, and set the stage for the sold out Happiness Begins Tour across arenas everywhere, but it also yielded the Hot 100 #1 smash “Sucker,” which proved definitive for 2019. Most importantly, it set the stage for the biggest, boldest, and brightest era of Jonas Brothers yet.

Be on the lookout for more surprises and big news very soon.

The preeminent male group of this century, Jonas Brothers opened the floodgates for a new era of titans in pop music. Following a six-year hiatus, Jonas Brothers took 2019 by storm with the surprise release of their critically acclaimed and widely successful single “Sucker.” The double-platinum single debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, becoming the first #1 for the band and the first #1 debut from a group this century.  The song emerged as a cultural phenomenon, ranking #1 on Billboard’s critic’s picks list of the “50 Best Songs of 2019,” and standing out as the top song on U.S. Radio in 2019, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

Making history once more, the band delivered their third #1 album debut with the release of their platinum-selling album Happiness Begins. The band continued to soar with their sold-out “Happiness Begins Tour,” with over 1 million tickets sold.  The tour received unanimous praise with Billboard writing, “The ‘Happiness Begins’ Tour feels like a celebration of everything in the Jonas Brothers’ career, but also the beginning of their larger-than-life new chapter,” and The Washington Post claiming, “There hasn’t been a boy band in recent history that’s made a comeback quite like Jonas Brothers.” Moreover, Rolling Stone summed it best, “Following a six year hiatus, it almost feels like the Jonas Brothers are bigger than ever.”

The band closed out a banner year with the release of “Only Human,” another Top 5 hit on both Top 40 and Hot AC radio airplay charts. What’s more, they garnered a bevy of awards, including a 2019 MTV Video Music Award for “Best Pop Video” and two 2019 Teen Choice Awards for “Artist Of The Decade” and “Choice Summer Group.” Plus, they were nominated in top categories at the American Music Awards, including “Favorite Duo or Group Pop/Rock” and “Favorite Song Pop/Rock.” Most recently, they notched their second GRAMMY® nomination for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.”

Commercial Exterminators: Termite Control to Protect Your Business

By Digvijay Singh Kanwar

Recent reports have shown that the economic burden attributed to termite control and damage holds a substantial amount of the construction budget. To implement an effective termite inspection plan, listed in this article are helpful tips from proven commercial exterminators Phoenix, AZ based experts.

Scheduled inspection. The effectiveness of termite control lies on its precise scheduling. Experts recommend that building and house owners permit annual inspection in cooler parts of the establishment while biannual monitoring must be done on warmer portions.

Commercial exterminator services. Pest Control Management companies exist throughout the country. Property owners must make use of these professional services to survey their areas.

For large buildings, it is recommended that pest control companies be notified prior to actual construction since they can detect soil that can be susceptible to termite infestation.

Termite activity.

Scheduling of the inspection must also be aligned with the known termite activity. Pest scientists have already learned that the early spring to late summer is the time period at which optimal termite reproduction occurs.

If inspection and eradication are done at this time period, the likelihood of termite spread will be minimized, if not completely prevented.

Self-monitoring. For old buildings and houses, self-monitoring can be done by the building officials. In fact, several companies have designated specific personnel for the regular inspection of building rooms. These people are tasked to check the quality of concrete slabs, wood edges, and ceiling materials on a monthly basis.

Owner’s initiative. In addition to the above-mentioned activities, occupants of structural spaces are also encouraged to keep a termite checklist.

This checklist highlights the areas of the building that must be regularly monitored. Included in this list are the wood ceiling, wall foundations, window decorations, floor, and the underlying soil. Compliance with this checklist can prevent the occurrence of large damages in the future.

Termite Control/Prevention

Termites are pests which cost you a lot when they nest in your properties. They destroy properties by eating their cellulose and non-cellulose materials.

Cellulose materials, or things made from plant fiber, like wood and paper consist a major part of a termite’s diet. Subterranean and drywood termites cost the most damage to human structures.

Termite extermination is very necessary when termite problems become overwhelming.

Aside from money, termite extermination will require a lot of time and effort from the pest controllers and the property owners.

Before any extermination is conducted, a proper and thorough termite inspection must be done to determine the scope of the damage and the scale of the termite population.

That is why termite prevention is a must. Pest control can be more effective if it is done before a structure is constructed.

The termite treatment called “pre-construction chemical treatment” can be done at the time of construction prevents termite infestation. It involves treating the soil, where the structure is founded, with soil insecticides.

But if no “pre-construction chemical treatment” had been done, take the following pest control measures:

Eliminate access/ entry points of termites: Termites are attracted to moist environments. Control the accumulation of moist in dryer vents and air conditioner condensation pipes.

Fill junctions of walls and chamber properly: Check your property for cracks in the walls, the flooring, and other areas because termites can enter through them. If some cracks are found, immediately work on filling them.

Terminate wood and soil contact: Wooden and other kinds of debris, including garbage, must be removed from the vicinity of the property. They can be potential breeding grounds for termites.

Remove wood products: Throw away damp wooden products. If kept within the property, they will draw termites in. If fixed wooden components of the property like fences, stairs, and balustrades are broken, or grow moist, immediately perform an anti-termite treatment on them.

Destroy colonies of termites: Abolish all kinds of termite colonies thriving on or near your property with proper extermination methods. If termite extermination is not done well, some termites may survive and they will soon rebuild their colonies.

Remove sources of moisture: Keep most spaces in and out of the house dry. Prevent water from flowing into the foundation. This could be most devastating when termites catch wind of this.

Keep drains and gutters clean to avoid leakage: Inspect the water and sewage pipes occasionally to check for leaks. Leaks can cause more than moisture, which termites like.

Helpful Tips to Find the Best Dental Insurance Option for You

Have you ever had a toothache? If so, you know how important it is to have access to quality dental care when it’s needed. It’s even more beneficial if you can seek regular dental checkups and cleanings, as this is going to prevent an array of common dental problems.

Unfortunately, if you don’t have dental insurance, the cost of these treatments and checkups may prevent you from seeking this care as often as you should. The good news is, there are an array of dental insurance plans to choose from. Keep reading to learn how to find the best dental insurance option here.

Consider Your Family’s Needs

Each member of your family should have preventative care checkups, cleanings, and X-rays. If you have children, they will need a few extras, such as sealants, fluoride treatments, and sometimes, braces or other dental appliances. For children who are involved in sports or who are very active, mouth guards may be needed.

You need adult dental insurance for things such as replacement of missing teeth, gum disease, and tooth sensitivity. Seniors may have health problems, such as heart issues and diabetes, which means preventative dental care is still crucial.

What Dental Insurance Plans Are Available in Your Local Area?

You need to begin narrowing down the options for dental insurance by what’s available in your county, state, or even Zip code. Most insurance companies don’t offer all the plans they have in each region, so you can keep things simple when you only compare the plans that you have the ability to purchase.

Try to Find a Plan with Several Dentists and/or Dental Practices

For several reasons, you may want to have over one dentist to go to or choose from for dental care. If you limit your options to just one dental practice or dentist, what will happen if you can’t go during their office hours, or if you end up having a problem with one of the dentists or staff members? Make sure your family has the flexibility of being able to choose between dentists or dental practices.

Consider All the Related Costs

When you are looking for a dental care provider, one of your first considerations is the monthly cost, called the premium. You also need to look at the deductible costs, or the total amount of money that you are going to have to pay out of pocket for the dental services before your insurance will kick in.

You should also consider the maximum annual limit. The majority of insurance companies will cap the total amount they will pay each year for dental treatments. If you reach this annual cap, then you will have to cover any other costs for treatment. This is especially important if there is someone in your family who suffers from serious ongoing dental issues. There are some insurance plans that will also limit the total number of a certain procedure that is allowed each year. Make sure you factor this into your decision.

Find Out What Treatments are Covered in Each of the Plans You Consider

The majority of routine dental treatments will be covered under your dental insurance plan. However, there are some plans that will not cover certain treatments, such as dentures or teeth whitening. While other plans may cover these treatments, they may only cover them to a certain amount of time. Be sure that you know precisely what is going to be covered and what isn’t covered by the insurance plan before selecting one.

It’s also important to note that there are some insurance plans that require a waiting period. In fact, you may have to wait up to 18 months before you can get the coverage needed for specific procedures. This is typically the case for dental work that is more expensive.

Consider Savings Plans or Discount Dental Plans

Completely unique from insurance, dental discount plan or savings plan allows you to join a group where you can enjoy discounts on specific services. Keep in mind, this isn’t insurance, it will just help you save money on the services and treatments that you need.

Finding a Dental Plan that Works for You

There is no question that you want to find a dental insurance plan that works for you and your family’s dental health needs. You need to consider the factors here to feel confident in the decision that you ultimately make. Don’t rush in and automatically choose the plan with the lowest premium cost; as this is going to result in higher costs for the deductible and out-of-pocket procedures.

By taking your time, considering all the factors here, and learning about the dental insurance options available in your area, you can choose the coverage that will help ensure you and your family’s good oral health now, and in the future.

PLANT-BASED EATING × DIETS

Plant-based eating not only provides health benefits, it’s good for the environment too. Having a diet rich in plant-based sources is becoming increasingly common, especially with younger generations driving the conversation around sustainability.

Relying on plant-based foods as a primary food source can have a massive effect, and if we all choose plant-based options even a few times a week, we can change the world. The greatest journey starts with the smallest step.

Showcasing the surge in plant-based eating, all products from Huel, the fastest growing nutrition company in the world, with a variety of powders and Ready-to-drink beverages, are plant-based.

Co-Founder and Head of Nutrition at Huel, James Collier answers some common questions about plant-based eating.

What is a plant-based diet?

A plant-based diet is a diet that consists mainly of foods from plants. Such foods include fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes and whole grains. Meat intake is minimal if any.

There are many reasons why people eat a plant-based diet including environmental, ethical and health concerns. I am not suggesting to eliminate meat from a person’s diet completely, however, reducing meat and animal food consumption is one of the quickest and simple ways an individual can reduce their carbon footprint.

What foods should we eat to achieve daily recommended nutrients, vitamins, minerals on a plant-based diet?

There are some easy ways to ensure, with a plant-based diet, you can get the recommended amounts of all nutrients:

– Eat the rainbow.

As different color foods usually contain different levels of nutrients, it’s important to eat a variety. For example, the phytonutrient, lycopene which is an antioxidant that protects against cell damage and gives tomatoes its red color. While carotenoids, another group of antioxidants, give fruits and vegetables orange and yellow colors, such as carrots.

– Get enough Vitamin B12.

Vitamin B12, which plays a vital role in helping the body produce red blood cells can usually be perceived as tricky to get enough of with a plant-based diet. The good news is, it’s really not. As a start, try incorporating plant-based milks that are that are fortified with B12, and calcium and vitamin D. Cereals, meat alternatives and some soy products are often fortified with B12 too. Taking a B12 supplement also rids any concerns.

– Ensure adequate omega-3 consumption.

If oily fish is not part of your eating plan, then foods such as walnuts, soy and flaxseed are ways to ensure adequate omega 3 consumption.

Flaxseed is one of Huel’s six main ingredients and contains the omega-3 essential fatty acid ALA. Omega-3 fats are generally low in a Western diet and adequate omega-3 consumption is important to support cardiovascular health.

– Keep your iron up

Iron is not just found in meat food sources. Dark leafy greens, nuts and dried fruits are great sources of iron. Iron is crucial for oxygen transport, cognitive function and the immune system. Iron from plant sources can be harder to absorb, but again, there’s no need to worry. Iron absorption can also be increased by the presence of vitamin C which is found in lots of fruits and vegetables such as oranges and peppers. It’s where the idea of having orange juice with breakfast comes from – to increase the iron that is added to cereals.

Huel contains 280% of the nutrient reference value using only plant sources. Although this looks high, it’s to account for the bioavailability of iron and it’s interaction with other nutrients, which can also affect its absorption.

How can someone transition to plant-based eating?

Whether your motivation to increase plant-based foods to your eating plan is to improve your health or environmental footprint, incorporating higher amounts of plant-based foods can be achievable.

– Make small changes over time.

Start by eating one plant-based meal a day. This will be easier to stick with rather than making large, unsustainable changes overnight. If preparing a nutritious meal in the middle of the day is not easily achievable, and your nearby lunchtime corner shop leaves you limited with health plant-based or vegan options, then Huel is a good convenient and nutritious meal option. It’s a nutritionally complete meal providing all 27 essential vitamins and minerals with an ideal macronutrient split, with good quality carbohydrates, fats and protein.

– Make some easy fridge swaps.

A good place to start is by swapping dairy milk with almond or oat milk such as Oatly. The rapidly growing plant-based meat industry lead by Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods is also providing shoppers with plenty of options.

– Change your mindset.

Instead of thinking, “I can’t eat meat,” think about all the wonderful things you can eat and how beneficial these are for your health (and the planet). Stop focussing on meat as the hero on your plate and rather, build your plate with new and nutritious food choices.

Huel was co-founded by James Collier, Registered Nutritionist with 20 years experience with the national health service in the UK. James is a renowned nutrition expert with over 25 years working in nutrition and dietetics. His experience also includes working in the NHS (UK) as a clinical dietitian covering an array of clinical areas.

Huel’s mission is to make nutritionally complete, convenient, affordable food, with minimum impact on animals and the environment. With this in mind, Huel’s products are 100% vegan. Along with the seven variations of the Huel powder (including a gluten-free option), Huel has launched a number of nutritionally complete products, including a convenient Ready-to-drink format, the world’s first nutritionally complete granola and an on-the-go bar which makes for the perfect snack.

NEW INSTALLATIONS

“Building a Milwaukee Icon: Harley-Davidson’s Juneau Avenue Factory” (open now)

A recently recovered cache of architectural drawings includes plans for the original Juneau Avenue facility. The pencil drawings, along with archival photographs, demonstrate the whirlwind pace of the company’s early growth. While building an international business—going from producing just over 1,000 motorcycles in 1909 to manufacturing 27,000 motorcycles in 1920—the company’s Milwaukee factory experienced near-constant expansion. Construction through this relatively brief period created the buildings that today, a century later, are still the proud home of Harley-Davidson.

“Building a Milwaukee Icon” provides a snapshot of Harley-Davidson’s formative years and illustrates a chapter of Milwaukee history when the city was known as the “Machine Shop to the World.”

Experience Gallery: Model Year 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycles

Always a favorite photo opportunity for riders and non-riders alike, the H-D Museum’s Experience Gallery has been revamped to feature five 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycles – including the all-new, all-electric LiveWire™!

Custom Culture Installation: “Blackbird”

Blackbird, from the minds of Bobby Greene and Justin Walls, pays homage to Joe Petrali’s 1936 EL landspeed motorcycle. Elements of Petrali’s machine are imitated in this contemporary custom bike. Both vehicles use Harley-Davidson handlebars and forks made for board trackers; both have hillclimber frames; and their wheels are the same design and size. On display for a limited time, race fans will be thrilled to get an up-close look at this tribute to historic motorcycle landspeed racing.
