RAMOS kicked off the arrival of the release earlier this week with a dynamic performance of his single “Mind Over Matter” on The Late Late Show with James Corden [Watch HERE]. He also received early press acclaim with high-profile features in Vogue, Elle, and more, with Billboard and People both proclaiming him among their “Ones To Watch.” Additionally, he joined Elvis Duran and The Morning Show on-air to listen to his song played on the radio for the first time. Duran praised the artist’s vulnerability and storytelling, culminating in an emotional on-air moment that didn’t leave a dry eye in the house.

RAMOS also dropped by the YouTube Space this week where he gave a live performance and participated in a Q&A moderated by celebrated director Jon M Chu [Crazy Rich Asians]—who directed Ramos alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda in the upcoming 2020 film In the Heights.

In support of the album release, RAMOS will kick off his first ever headline run, “The Good & The Bad Tour” on November 1 at Lincoln Hall in Chicago, IL. The tour rolls through major markets across North America, including New York, Miami and Los Angeles, until its conclusion at Imperial in Vancouver November 19. Born and raised in Bushwick and of Puerto Rican descent, Anthony Ramos first made his mark originating the dual roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the TONY® and GRAMMY® Award-winning Broadway smash Hamilton. In 2018, Ramos ignited his music career as an independent solo artist on his own terms. Not only did he lend his voice to Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Almost Like Praying” benefit single, but he also began architecting a sharp and soulful signature take on contemporary music. He teamed up with producer Will Wells [Logic, Pentatonix] for The Freedom EP, which garnered acclaim from Billboard and many others.

In 2018, Ramos appeared in the Academy Award-winning film A Star Is Born, directed by Bradley Cooper and starring Lady Gaga where he played ‘Ally’s’ (GaGa) best friend. Most recently, he starred in the critically-acclaimed Netflix series She’s Gotta Have It, created by Spike Lee, based on his 1986 film.

Next up, Ramos will grace the screen once again as the lead role in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s highly-anticipated ‘In the Heights’ movie directed by Jon M. Chu for Warner Bros to be released in June 2020.

Singer-songwriter and producer, Arin Ray (Interscope Records), has just released the sensual video for his song, “A Seat,” directed by Keemotion. Arin shows off his romantic side, as he sets the scene for his woman; replete with roses, champagne and a love note containing the lyrics to the song’s first verse. It is just another side to the Cincinnati-artist whose body of work features everything from love songs, party anthems and street-geared tracks. You can watch the video for “A Seat” HERE.

Arin Ray will headline three shows this November in Los Angeles, Atlanta and New York City, as he continues to promote his new releases as well as his debut album, Platinum Fire. The album features a number of high-profile guests, including Babyface, YG, Childish Major and Terrace Martin and received high praise for its nuanced blend of hip hop, R&B and jazz. On the eve of headlining a sold-out run across North America, “The Comfort Crowd” Tour, buzzing 20-year-old bedroom pop singer-songwriter Conan Gray unveils his official new single “Maniac” today.

On the song Conan said:“I wrote maniac in the shower after getting a midnight drunk sob text from my ex. They’d been running all around town telling everyone that I was some freak who wouldn’t leave them alone when in reality, they were the freak. They were the one acting like a maniac— sending strange late-night texts and showing up at my shows unannounced. T thought it was hilarious and all my friends had dealt with the same thing, so I decided to write a cathartic post break-up song dedicated to psychotic exes. that’s how maniac was born.”

Nodding to horror classics like Zombieland and Dawn of the Dead, the action goes down on “Devil’s Night” just a day before Halloween. The teasers for the video have shown Conan and his friend Jess (played by Netflix’s The End of the F***ing World star Jessica Barden) working at a movie theater. Conan also said of the video: “I think everyone has dealt with a psycho ex at one point in their life. with the “Maniac” video, I wanted everyone’s worst nightmare to come true— all of your exes coming back from the dead to haunt you all in one night. “Night of the Living Exes,” if you will. The second I came up with the video, I knew immediately that I wanted Jess Barden from “The End Of The F***ing World” to play the best friend. Jess is incredibly talented, and her character reminds me a ton of my own best friend who I’d seen date a slew of different types of people. The jock, the artsy one, the nice one, etc. I thought it’d be fun to showcase all of the stereotypes in a cheesy 80’s horror movie esque video.”

Later this month, Conan returns to the road for “The Comfort Crowd” Tour. The six-week run kicks off October 29 at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO. It stops in major markets across the country, including New York’s Terminal 5 on November 12th, before concluding with a three-night stand at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, CA December 11-13.

In addition, he recently was featured in V Man’s Fall/Winter 2019 issue, UPROXX, Paper, and Grammy.com in addition to receiving a nomination at the YouTube STREAMY Awards in the category of “Breakthrough Artist.”

“The Comfort Crowd” Tour follows his recent sold out European tour, as well as a momentous North American spring headline tour that included sold out shows in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Toronto.

The plans Jonathan Hickman has for the X-Men aren’t just big; they’re giant-size. Fresh off launching the X-Men into an exciting new era in HOUSE OF X and POWERS OF X, Marvel revealed at MCM Comic Con London that Jonathan Hickman will be joining forces with the industry’s top artists to craft a stellar new series: GIANT-SIZE X-MEN. Starting in February, each issue will combine Hickman’s captivating storytelling with the iconic art of a different superstar artist to depict grand-scale adventures focused on specific X-Men characters.

And it all begins with GIANT-SIZE X-MEN: JEAN GREY AND EMMA FROST #1! The new mutant nation of Krakoa is the place for fresh starts, and Jean and Emma, known for their fierce rivalry, will unite to rescue Storm from danger. The two powerful telepaths are in good hands as artist Russell Dauterman will be the first to partner with Hickman for the series. Dauterman will be accompanied by expert colorist Matt Wilson.

Known for his acclaimed work on THE MIGHTY THOR, Dauterman is no stranger to Marvel’s merry mutants, often providing phenomenal covers featuring character designs that have made him a favorite among X-Men fans. An X-Men fan himself, Dauterman is eager to use his skills to bring Hickman’s vision to life. “I’ve wanted to draw X-Men comics since I was a kid, so drawing this issue of X-MEN is a dream come true,” says Dauterman. “I’m so thrilled to be working on this with Jonathan and Matt, and it’s co-starring my favorite character, Jean Grey!”

Giant-Size X-Men was first used as a title in 1975 in a legendary special issue by Len Wein and David Cockrum. It not only marked a new genesis for the team, introducing iconic characters like Storm and Nightcrawler, but is credited for catapulting the X-Men into the powerhouse franchise they are today, a legacy that Hickman and others will now honor month after month. Isabela Merced introduces her solo music with the brand new single “Papi.” Get it HERE via Republic Records.

“It’s a blend of everything that inspires me,” Isabela describes her music. “I’m very influenced by Latin music like salsa, reggaeton, cumbia, and bachata. I’m experimenting with instruments and sounds from Peru, because they’re beautiful yet untouched by the mainstream. There’s also an energy and edge that comes from urban and rhythmic. It’s a new take on Latin pop with my own Peruvian spice and attitude. I’m welcoming everyone into my story.”

The new single was co-written by Isabela, who worked with Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo [“Despacito”] as co-writers and producers, co-writer Kennedi Lykken [Ariana Grande, Jonas Brothers], in addition to being co-written and executive produced by none other than powerhouse Justin Tranter [Justin Bieber, Julia Michaels]. Just announced at MCM Comic Con London, Conan will be starring in a new series that will take the barbarian to places he’s never gone before! Conan made his grand return to the Marvel Comics earlier this year and now, CONAN: BATTLE FOR THE SERPENT CROWN will have the legendary Robert E. Howard character diving deeper into the Marvel Universe meeting a wide variety of Marvel heroes and daring to go up against Marvel’s most iconic villains, including the devilish Mephisto! A far cry from the Hyborian Age, Conan will take his relentless strength and savage sword to Las Vegas on an epic quest to find the Serpent Crown of Atlantis. Guiding him on his journey to Sin City and beyond will be writer Saladin Ahmed(BLACK BOLT, MILES MORALES: SPIDER-MAN) and artist Luke Ross(STAR WARS: ALLEGIANCE, SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN).

EDEN’S NEW ALBUM

Vocalist/producer/multi-instrumentalist EDEN announces the forthcoming release of his new album, no future. Due out via Astralwerks on February 14, no future marks the follow-up to his acclaimed 2018 full-length debut, vertigo. Also today, the Dublin-bred artist born Jonathon Ng premieres no future’s lead single “projector,” available now for purchase and streaming from all digital partners HERE. The track is accompanied by a beautifully haunting video directed by EDEN’s frequent collaborators Zhang + Knight. Watch the “projector” video HERE.

As with all of his music to date, “projector” was recorded and produced by EDEN at his home studio. With its dreamlike textures and heady drum-machine rhythms, the song finds EDEN’s graceful vocal work channeling a heavy-hearted surrender.

“‘projector’ is about appreciating all the ebbs and flows and accepting how things really are instead of wishing they were some other way,” Ng explains. “It started out as a very no-man’s-land kind of song, and then the lyrics ended up reflecting the concept of the death of the universe into a very personal space: this idea that no matter what’s going on in your life right now, everything eventually runs its course.”

Filmed in Bulgaria, the “projector” video perfectly captures the tension between the track’s airy sonic palette and the profound sense of loneliness within its lyrics. As Zhang + Knight explain, the video took shape from a concept based on “trapping EDEN inside a vividly saturated and beautiful prison, watching him trying to escape to the outside world…only to find that the outside world is just as lonely and bleak as the room he has just left behind.”

To achieve the “projector” video’s surrealist quality, Zhang + Knight enlisted a team of painters who spent a week creating an enormous scenic painting of the sky. Throughout the video-making process, the directors drew inspiration from mid-century painters like John Register and Edward Hopper and their tendency toward “images which are extremely bright and colorful but also very sad and evocative.”

“projector” follows the recent release of “untitled,” another track set to appear on no future. Since premiering on October 8th, “untitled” has surpassed 1.5 million global streams, including over 1.2 million streams on Spotify. In addition, the song landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist in 12 countries, including the U.S., UK, Japan, and Australia/New Zealand.

Released in January 2018, EDEN’s debut album vertigo shot to No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 12 countries, racking up over 200 million streams globally thanks in part to the singles “start//end,” which Billboard deemed, “striking… a nostalgically cast reflection on youth and all-too-relatable feelings of desperation and hope,” “gold” and “crash.” To date, EDEN has amassed over one billion streams for vertigo and his two EPs: 2015’s End Credits and 2016’s i think you think too much of me which features the Lorde-supported lead single “sex.” With the vertigo World Tour selling out across the globe, spring 2019 saw the premiere of “909” – a stand-alone track and the final song released in the vertigo era. “

DEBUT ALBUM COMING SOON

Skyrocketing past 1 billion combined global streams and cementing herself as one of the year’s boldest breakout stars, platinum-certified R&B singer and songwriter Queen Naija shares a new single entitled “Good Morning Text” today.

“Good Morning Text” arrives on the heels of her last anthem “Away From You.” Amassing over 3.1 million Spotify streams to date, HotNewHipHop praised its “catchy hook,” and Rated RnB dubbed it a “finger-snapping bop.” Revolt placed it among, “7 Queen Naija songs that are testaments to her artistry” and elaborated, “It’s a display of a certain level of growth.”

The 24-year-old Detroit songstress, who began singing in church at age three, has emerged as one of 2018’s biggest breakout R&B stars. Queen and her former husband had found fame online with their popular YouTube channel. When their marriage fell apart last year, she self-released “Medicine,” a song detailing her side of the story.
