Anna Chromy

CHINESE PRESIDENT XI PING ON SILK ROAD MISSION TO ITALY, MONACO AND FRANCE from 22 to 26 March 2019

When the Government of China was looking in 2015 for a symbol of its Official Pavilion at EXPO2015 in Milano, they did not turn to a Chinese artist, but to a European artist who has his sculpture studio in Pietrasanta and Carrara in Tuscany. The reason for this choice was the extraordinary popularity of the sculptor Anna Chromy in China, who is considered in this country as a Cultural Ambassador between Europe and China (Phoenix News).

Anna Chromy used as theme for her Silk Road Sculpture two bionic towers symbolizing the new city developments along the ancient road. The towers end in two stylized hands holding the world between them, as symbols for the Eastern and Western ends of the Road, connecting the two most advanced civilizations of that time. The towers are engraved with ornaments showing the caravans of the ancient trade road, which brought the silk and other goods from China to Europe. On top of the Globe flies the Angel of Peace, as a tribute to the City of Xi’an (“Eternal Peace”), the starting point of the Ancient Silk Road.

Anna Chromy is represented in China by Phoenix Television, with 550 million viewers the global no.1. She is Honorary Fellow of the National Sculpture Academy of China, a Member of the Chinese City Sculpture Committee, the first Western artist to have a solo exhibition in the National Museum of China in Beijing, and to have a permanent work in the Entrance Hall of this prestigious Museum. She has also numerous other works in public locations around China.

A SILK ROAD IN THE PERMANENT COLLECTION OF PHOENIX MEDIA CENTER IN BEIJING

On November 28, 2017, the Founder and Chairman of Phoenix Satellite TV, Mr. Liu Changle, welcomed the Silk Road sculpture of Anna Chromy into the Permanent Collection of the Phoenix Media Center in Beijing. After the ceremony the CEO of Phoenix TV Art and Culture invited Anna Chromy and Wolfgang Stein for a visit to the private parts of the Forbidden City normally reserved for State guest only.

Jeremy Zucker “comethru” Remix

Today, Brooklyn-based singer, songwriter and producer Jeremy Zucker releases a remix of his breakout hit “comethru” featuring Bea Miller. Listen HERE!

“comethru,” taken from Jeremy’s latest EP summer, has an impressive 66 million streams on Spotify, and its video has over 24 million views to date and is featured on YouTube’s “Artist On The Rise” Trending Tab. On working with Bea to bring this remix to life, Jeremy says, “It’s been amazing to see how well this song has been received. I wanted to do something exciting for my fans and give it a new spin. I’ve been a fan of Bea for long time and thought she’d be the perfect addition the song. We got together a couple of weeks ago to make this remix, and I’m psyched about the way it came out.”

Recently returning from a sold out European and UK headline tour, fans can expect new music from Jeremy this spring.

Growing up in suburban New Jersey, 23-year-old singer, songwriter and producer Jeremy Zucker has always been surrounded by music. In 2015, he released his EP breathe as a freshman at Colorado College pursuing a degree in Molecular Biology. He cranked out songs in his dorm room and released them over Soundcloud—one every week. He later transferred them over to Spotify, where breathe’s lead single “Bout It” became the catalyst, hitting Spotify’s Discover Weekly playlist. Following the massive streaming success of his 2017 single “talk is overrated” featuring blackbear, 2018’s intensely personal EP glisten delivered the groundbreaking song “all the kids are depressed,” the first widespread glimpse into Zucker’s songwriting ethos. The track has over 56 million Spotify streams to date and its powerful video, directed by Drew Kirsch (Felix Jaehn, blackbear, Louis the Child, Quinn XCII), has over 7 million views to date. Last May, he graduated from Colorado College and put his degree aside to finally pursue his dream of making music, which resulted in his latest EP, summer,. As Zucker enters this next phase of his career, he brings a new love letter to life that fans will undoubtedly connect with.

Breakout Artist Tiffany Young

TIFFANY YOUNG FIRST KOREAN FEMALE TO WIN IHEARTRADIO MUSIC AWARD BEST SOLO BREAKOUT

Pop artist, Tiffany Young, has just been announced as the first Korean female to win an award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Walking the red carpet in Jean Paul Gaultier, Tiffany took home the award for Best Solo Breakout, and captured attention from Entertainment Tonight, Elle, EXTRA, Access, and Daily Mail; amongst others.

“I am so humbled and honored that I can be a part of representing young Asian American women in music, and so grateful for my Korean and K-pop roots that have given me the opportunity to follow my dreams. This award belongs to all the fans around the world who worked hard for this. I promise I will work harder, I want to make you proud!” Tiffany states

Tiffany is currently in the midst of promotion for her first U.S. EP, Lips On Lips, which surpassed her initial solo stats from 2016 on the Billboard chart debuting at No. 9 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart and No. 30 on the Independent Albums chart. Tiffany opened up to OC Weekly about the single “Not Barbie” off her EP, explaining; “I wanted it to be a song for every woman, man, girl, boy, any human being. I never got to say that to myself and I’m so happy that I get to open up. Not just for me, but for a generation of young woman.” Her sold out Lips On Lips North American Mini Showcase Tour wraps up in San Francisco tonight, and Los Angeles tomorrow night, Saturday the 16th.

About Tiffany Young

Tiffany’s life became a double-edged sword upon her move to Korea at age 15. At the same time that she was experiencing huge success with Girls’ Generation, garnering 16 No. 1 singles, 1.8 billion YouTube views, 120 awards from various organizations, 15 released albums, sold out world tours, millions of records sold, her dad’s irresponsibility in business was taking a huge toll on her. Debt collectors and other lenders would show up at various shows demanding money from her that was borrowed by her father. Luckily she had a solid support system with her bandmates and others on the GG team, which bolstered her and gave her the strength to continue on.

“Life continues to challenge me and inspire me everyday and I think that is just our human experience,” the artist says, “As each day, month and year pass, I am more motivated and feel so humbled by the gifts that I have been given both good and bad.  I hope the fans feel that as well. I do this all to be an example.”

As Tiffany started breaking out into the U.S market in 2018, her personal struggles with her dad’s bad choices began to bubble up on social and traditional media once again. Being the brave and powerful young woman that she is, Tiffany decided to face all of the attention about her father head on and chose to use the unfortunate situation as inspiration for her single, “Born Again.” Co-written by Tiffany, the lyrics and emotion behind “Born Again” come straight from these lifelong experiences and struggles; “The lyrics come from deep inside me as inspiration to others and to myself to be authentic and find strength in being vulnerable. I hope that this song conveys my willingness to grow and to also show others that even through sad and heartbreaking times, you can not only survive but thrive.”

Tiffany grew up in California, and as a young child felt neglected by her father’s inconsistent lifestyle. After her mom passed, Tiffany found true solace in music which then became her passion. “I do music because it saved me, and I hope with what I have done and who I am as a person, I can connect and can heal others to help them find a way to smile.” The path that opened up for her because of this love of music  led her to Korea alone at 15, join Girls’ Generation, who remains as one of the biggest, and most important K-Pop girl groups of all time.

With 10 years of touring, writing, singing and performing, Tiffany came back to the US to launch her solo career. With the huge success of her english singles, “Over my Skin” and “Teach You”, Tiffany is on the cutting edge of pop music. With spreads in Rolling Stone, PAPER Magazine and Cosmopolitan, among other media outlets and a turn for H&M, Tiffany enjoyed a lot of success for most of 2018.

“The rising LA rapper started his rap career just a few short years ago, but he already raps with the kind of wise, world-weary delivery that some artists don’t develop until they’ve been at it for twice as long….He raps his ass off, he tells introspective stories and tackles some heavy topics, and his words and delivery are both sharp.” – Brooklyn Vegan

“Maxo’s music showcases an underlying grittiness that effortlessly matches his stylish sound: a balance of low-key cool with a weariness that only comes from having to grow up too soon.” – Pitchfork

“The video suits the textured track wonderfully, complimenting its inviting sounds. With the swirling camera and gentle color pallette, it’s the perfect introduction to Maxo’s music.” – Complex

ABOUT MAXO

Maxo, 23, started recording his musings just a few years ago, inspired by his older brother’s struggles in coping with the world around him.

“That was around the time of Mike Brown and Trayvon Martin,” Maxo recalls clearly. “Just being a Black man will take a toll on you, whether you recognize it or not. That, in combination with trying to find yourself. It will drive you crazy. He lost his shit.” A middle child (he has a younger brother), it was tough to see his older bro—who loved to rap—hit a rough patch. When society stressed him out of his love of music, Maxo picked it up for him.

Hormone Disruptors

The 5 Biggest Disruptors Wreaking Havoc On Your Hormones

As 2019 dawns, some people are taking a “new year-new you” approach. They’re determined to make self-improvements that provide a fresh, positive outlook and strong sense of well-being.

But sometimes health factors undermine those good intentions, such as depression and its link to hormone imbalances. There are myriad ways both men and women suffer adverse effects to their hormones, says Don Colbert, M.D., and many of them are avoidable.

“We are exposed to thousands of toxic chemicals on a regular basis in the air, water and food,” says Colbert, author of Dr. Colbert’s Hormone Health Zone. “Some of them are hormone disruptors because they disturb your endocrine system, wreaking havoc and creating hormonal imbalances.

“Not only are the effects of all these disruptors depressing to think about; they actually cause depression, along with countless other ailments such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity and more. But the basic principle is this: decreasing the number of disruptions will improve your health.”

Dr. Colbert breaks down the top hormone disruptors affecting men and women along with ways to minimize the disruption or stop it:

Lifestyle choices. “Whether it’s weight gain and a lack of exercise, anger and unforgiveness, drinking too much alcohol or some other thing that can be controlled, your hormone levels drop and you begin a slow slide to poorer health,” Dr. Colbert says. “Make better choices, and that dramatically decreases the chances of having any hormone deficiency symptoms.”

Medications. Medications affect the body’s cells, and sometimes side effects manifest in major problems. For example, Dr. Colbert cites Mayo Clinic research showing a prescription statin drug that lowered cholesterol could result in liver damage, memory loss or type 2 diabetes. “I estimate that 55 percent of the entire US population is taking pills that directly and negatively affect hormone levels,” Dr. Colbert says. “Get off these harmful medications you hate.”

Things you touch. Chemicals entering the body through the skin can cause long-term damage. Dr. Colbert notes phthalates, disruptors found in household cleaners, cosmetics, toys and numerous other products. “Phthalates negatively affect both men’s and women’s ability to use the testosterone that is in our bodies,” Dr. Colbert says. “Another is BPA (bisphenol A), found on the inside of metal-canned foods and plastic food-storing containers. Specifically, BPA has been found to cause or contribute to cancer, fertility problems, developmental issues and heart disease. I recommend buying glass jars of food and storing in ceramic containers.”

Diet deficiencies. “The standard American diet is usually low in key nutrients that support a healthy thyroid,” Dr. Colbert says. “Many patients with hormone imbalances have low iodine. The best solution is eat more vegetables, ideally raw or steamed.”

Aging. Dr. Colbert says estrogen levels for women begin to decline around the age of 50; for men, testosterone levels can drop low around age 45-50. “Aging is a natural combatant as a hormone disruptor,” he says, “but we can slow the acceleration of the effects of aging by optimizing our hormones. Healthy habits can make a huge difference.”

“Symptoms of serious problems indicated by hormonal imbalance can be reversed by those who focus on health in their diet, lifestyle and living environment,” Dr. Colbert says. “Then they can enable all of their systems to function optimally.”

About Don Colbert, M.D.
Don Colbert, M.D., is the author of Dr. Colbert’s Hormone Health Zone. He has been a board-certified family practice doctor for more than 25 years and has offices in Orlando, Fla., and Dallas. The author of over 40 books, he wrote two New York Times best-sellers – The Seven Pillars of Health and Dr. Colbert’s “I Can Do This” Diet – has sold more than 10 million books and treated 50,000-plus patients. Dr. Colbert is a frequent show guest of Christian leaders Joyce Meyer, John Hagee, and Kenneth Copeland and has been featured on The Dr. Oz Show, Fox News, ABC World News Tonight, and in periodicals such as Newsweek and Reader’s Digest.

Today, British producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist SG Lewis released his brand new collaborative single with Clairo ‘Throwaway’ via Casablanca/Republic Records in North America. The track follows ‘Blue’ as the second to come from ‘Dawn’, the third and final installment of his hugely ambitious three-part concept album Dusk, Dark, Dawn, out later this year.

‘Throwaway’ is the second collaborative track between SG and rising viral US star Clairo, after last summer’s breakthrough track ‘Better’. Clairo’s honeyed vocals on ‘Throwaway’ are perfectly framed by SG’s intimate, downtempo production; “Clairo is one of my favorite artists to work with, and a good friend of mine” says SG: “Throwaway was written in LA one evening – we were both super tired and had some shit going on in our respective personal lives. We sat and talked for ages, and after that Throwaway flowed out in no time at all. Clairo is such a special artist and an incredible songwriter, and I’m super proud of this song.”

Dusk, Dark,Dawn chronicles the trajectory of a night out through its different moods and genres and serves as a tribute to club and youth culture. While Dusk (released earlier in 2018) blended disco, smooth electro and funk and Dark explored distinctly heavier yet still diverse sounds, Dawn is a sonic embodiment of those euphoric sunrise moments and the feeling of togetherness at the end of a night well spent.

It’s been an incredible six months for SG Lewis that has seen the artist sell-out venues across the US, Asia and Europe. Dark lead single ‘Hurting’ has continued to grow, hitting No.1 on the Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart two weeks ago, and with SG set to play a prime slot at this year’s Coachella, he continues to cement his status as not just one of London’s hottest new talents but also a formidable artist capable of making a splash on both sides of the Atlantic.

SG has previously collaborated with Col3trane, Raye, Ray BLK, The Neptunes/N.E.R.D’s Chad Hugo, Gerd Janson, Conducta and more as well as producing Dave’s ‘100M’s’ proving his worth as one of the most respected and prolific musicians from the UK and a producer capable of working outside of genre and style.
