Melii is now touring the U.S. as part of Meek Mill’s Motivation Tour, which kicked off last week. The two recently collaborated on “Wit the Shits (W.T.S.),” a track from Meek Mill’s new album Championships (a #1 hit on the Billboard 200).

Over the past year, Melii has drawn acclaim for singles like “Icey (Spanish Remix)” (named “one of the year’s starkest rap hits” by Jon Caramanica of the New York Times), “La Envidia Mata” (dubbed a “sledgehammer of a single” by Rolling Stone), “Como Si Na” (featured on a “5 Songs You Need to Listen to This Week” from TIME), and “See Me” (praised as a “baddie anthem” by HotNewHipHop). She’s also earned admiration from Billboard, who stated that “Every few years, a new artist emerges from Harlem, ready to take on the rap world…In 2018, that spotlight belongs to Melii.”

Kahlúa Espresso Martini

KAHLÚA INTRODUCES ITS FIRST EVER RTD ESPRESSO STYLE MARTINI: A REINVENTED CLASSIC COCKTAIL IN A CAN, EQUIPPED WITH SMART NITROGEN, WIDGET TECHNOLOGY

Pop, Pour, Sip… the great taste of the classic Espresso Martini cocktail, now in a ready-to-drink can launches with ASMR-Style video

Kahlúa, the number one coffee liqueur in the U.S. and hero ingredient in your favorite cult cocktails, brings consumers the next iteration of a classic with the launch of the Kahlúa Espresso Style Martini ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail.  Kahlúa Espresso Style Martini RTD is a twist on the classic Kahlúa cocktail made with coffee…and in a can. It’s the perfect blend of Kahlúa, coffee and Vodka, complete with the signature creamy foam reminiscent of a just-made Espresso Martini cocktail.

How does it work? The unique can is fitted with a smart nitrogen widget, which forces bubbles to the surface as soon as the can is opened to form the distinctive creamy foam of the classic cocktail. To serve, pour into a glass and enjoy immediately (with a friend, of course). To help illustrate for consumers at-home, Kahlúa tapped in to the trend of ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) to create the Kahlúa ASMR-tini depicting the pop and foam intensity of the product.

To celebrate the launch, Kahlúa is getting out of the glass and in front of the microphone with an ASMR-tini video to help consumers experience the pop and fizz that goes into every can.

“The launch of the Kahlúa Espresso Martini RTD and our ASMR-tini campaign celebrates a really exciting time for the brand,” said Troy Gorczyca, Kahlúa Brand Director. “As consumers continue to ask for high quality cocktails with added convenience, our take on the Espresso Martini offers an innovative and simple way to enjoy one of our favorite classic cocktails. Plus, it delivers consistent flavor and quality every time you pop and pour.”

The Kahlúa Espresso Style Martini is launching nationwide at select retailers this Spring 2019. The Espresso Martini will be sold in packs of four and each can is 4.5% alcohol by volume (ABV).

For more information about Kahlúa, please visit www.kahlua.com and check out Kahlúa on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter by following @Kahlua. Kahlúa ASMR-tini video and assets can be found via link here.

Chanel West’s Debut Music Video

CHANEL WEST COAST DROPS DIRECTORIAL DEBUT MUSIC VIDEO “THE MIDDLE”

Fresh, New Stylized Track Features The Hip Hop Star Showing Off Her Vocal Prowess

Hip Hop artist Chanel West Coast quietly dropped a new music video “The Middle,” her directorial debut, which also shows off her vocal prowess. The fresh, highly stylized track features a unique, vintage aesthetic, presenting an artistic throwback to a beloved golden era.  “The Middle” was shot and edited by Pat Clark. West Coast did her own styling for the piece. Check it out here.

Comments West Coast: “I wanted to make a song that expressed how I was feeling as well as making a song that other people could relate to. I think we all feel stuck in the middle of something at certain points in our life. We all chase dreams and get shut down a lot before those dreams eventually come true. Sometimes in life you just feel stuck in a rut you can’t get out of and that’s basically how I was feeling when I wrote the song. I want people to know that chasing your dreams is not easy and I hope that this song will inspire them to keep going because that’s why I made it. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep going and this song was what told me to never give up.”

West Coast, who was recently featured on For Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, currently stars on the MTV hit show “Ridiculousness” with Rob Dyrdek, has prolifically been releasing new tracks and content for well over a decade. She started writing and plotting her trajectory much earlier on while still in grade school. Her breakthrough came in 2012 when she was signed by ‘Lil Wayne to his then label Young Money. She quickly released her first track “Karl,” an ode to legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, complemented by a provocative, high fashion music video shot at downtown LA’s iconic Los Angeles Theatre. “Karl” marked the first single from her ‘Now You Know’ mixtape.  At the 2014 BET Awards, West Coast and her Young Money label mates were awarded ‘Best New Group,’ which they collectively accepted on stage.

Following the success of ‘Now You Know,’ she’s released her second mixtape ‘Waves’ featuring the single “I Like New Ft. YG,” and has continued to consistently release new music, often collaborating with name artists.

2019 Oscars: Austrian Designer Julia Koerner brings 3D-Printing to the Oscars

For the first time, 3D-Printing hits the Academy Awards. The winner of the Academy Award for Costume Design Ruth E Carter for the Black Panther brought on Julia Koerner to develop the remarkable 3D-Printed costumes of Queen Ramonda character. These included the Queen’s Crown and Shoulder Mantle. The Black Panther won Academy Awards.

Julia Koerner is an award-winning Austrian Designer and Professor at UCLA’s School of Architecture. She specializes in 3D design for 3D-Printing. Her past works include 3D-printed haute-couture for Iris Van Herpen, and Chanel’s Maison Lesage; both of which were

recently exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) show entitled Manus x Machina.

The 3D designs are developed and simulated in 3D-space utilizing algorithms and scripts to generate the patterns and three- dimensional effects that are customized to the wearer. The technology allows Koerner to research and develop highly complex and intricate designs, which cannot be fabricated in any other way. The Material used is a strong and exible polymer that is highly durable, the printing process itself takes several days within the laser sintering machine.

The technique used for 3D-Printing Queen Ramonda’s costumes is known as Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), where a bed of powder is fused by a laser beam microscopically, layer by layer to fabricate the intricate 3D designs developed in the computer by Koerner. The costumes were manufactured by Materialise in Belgium, who Koerner has been working with for over a decade.

Shortly after receiving the Academy Award, Ruth E Carter joined the Oscars most sought-after Vanity Fair party wearing a 3D-Printed Statement Piece designed by Julia Koerner. Koerner says: “Over the past two months, I developed a customizedstatement piece for Ruth, we found inspiration in African imagery from the photographer Seydou Kaïta, and digitally crafted afro-futuristic patterns to an asymmetrical ensemble that references the 1950’s fashion designs of Balenciaga”. To sublime the piece, Julia Koerner worked with Swarovski to integrate their cutting edge line of crystals onto the garment in a novel technique, which is a rst of its kind. The commission of the piece is combined with Ruth Carter’s dress developed by the renowned B Michael America.

About Julia Koerner

Julia Koerner is an award-winning Austrian designer working at the convergence of architecture, product and fashion design. She is internationally recognized for design innovation in 3D-printing. Julia’s work stands out at the top of these disciplines. Her designs have been featured in the National Geographic Magazine, VICE, WIRED and the New York Times among other publications. Museum and Institutions which have exhibited her work include the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York (MET), Palais des Beau Arts in Brussels, Museum of Applied Arts MAK Vienna, Ars Electronica, the Art Institute of Chicago and the High Museum of Art in Atlanta among others. The constantly intriguing aspect of Julia’s work is its embodiment of a beautiful organic aesthetic.

Julia is founder of JK Design GmbH, specialising in design for 3D-printing. In 2015 Julia launched an entirely 3D-Printed ready-to-wear collection entitled ‘Sporophyte.’ Her collaborations involved 3D Printed fashion pieces developed with Haute Couture Houses for Paris Fashion week and 3D printed costumes for Hollywood entertainment productions such as Marvel’s Black Panther in collaboration with Ruth Carter. Most recently she collaborated with Swarovski on a showpiece which displays Swarovski’s continued strive for innovation and the early developments of 3D-printing technology with glass.

Holiday River Expeditions

Holiday River Expeditions Notes Positive Outlook For a Stellar River Rafting Season Thanks to an Exemplary Snow Pack

Forget crystal balls. The snow says it all.

For over half a century Holiday River Expeditions has looked to the mountains to forecast upcoming rafting seasons. Winter snows turn into spring runoff. Thus far, a stormy and snow-packed winter in the Rockies predicts a robust 2019 rafting season in the mountain and desert southwest.

“We’re expecting to have a lot of fun in 2019, thanks to Mother Nature and year-to-date bookings that are up 10 percent over the same time last year,” said Holiday River Expeditions’ longtime sales manager and spokeswoman Karen Johnson.

Higher river flows mean that guests on all of Holiday’s rafting trips will have more off-river time to hike, enjoy the beach, relax or explore the side canyons from camp and enroute between camps.

“Plus high water gives our guests an Adrenaline-rush and thrill in a carefully secured, calculated manner,” Johnson added.

As of today, snow pack affecting the Colorado River Basin is running 116 percent of the February 27th average, a good sign for the upcoming rafting season on the Colorado, Yampa and Green rivers. Among Holiday River Expeditions’ whitewater rafting trips most affected by high runoff are those on the Yampa River in the heart of Dinosaur National Monument. This undammed, free-flowing river benefits greatly from unfettered spring runoff that also makes its way to Desolation Canyon (on the Green River) and Cataract Canyon (after confluence with the Colorado River).

Other rafting trips influenced by abundant snow pack are those on the Colorado River in both Westwater Canyon and further along in Cataract Canyon cutting through the heart of Canyonlands National Park.

One fact, worthy of note, helps set Holiday apart from most other operators on the river. They are the only rafting outfitter that literally goes with the flow exclusively on all trips by running these rivers by oar-power only, without motorized rafts or motorized support.

“Oar-power is the most natural way to experience the river and the absence of motors makes high water trips as exciting as it gets. Rafters experience the rush of wind, a chatty raven or a churning rapid absent the drone and smell of a motorized raft,” said Tim Gaylord, Director of Operations and Holiday guide since 1978.

Even in high water, when other companies call on motorized boats to stay the course, Holiday instead employs triple rigs, usually from late May to early July in Cataract Canyon when water levels get above 25-30,000 CFS and higher. The rigs are three 18-foot rafts lashed side by side to form one larger raft. It is maneuvered by two guides, sweep-style, each using one oar.

“These rafts are incredibly stable and the rigging allows them to flex in many ways. They allow us to continue to use only oar-powered rafts in even the highest water,” noted Gaylord.

See this short video that will help illustrate this technique.

A few other companies continue to use row/paddle rafts and dories in high water; but they support their use with larger motorized rafts for, among others, assistance in moving non-motor rafts downstream in the flatwater sections. Holiday is the only one that does not use a motor at all (except when exiting the Lake Powell section on the last day of the Cataract trip and then it is only introduced by using a tow-boat that motors up from the downstream takeout at Hite Marina.)

Due to its respect for the lands, rivers, guests and employees, the family-owned-and-operated company has grown exponentially.
