Rag & Bone AI Dinner Party

RAG & BONE NYFW: MERGING AI TECHNOLOGY AND HUMANS

An unexpected multi-sensory and immersive experience: ‘A Last Supper’, challenging the future of fashion

For the first time, New York fashion week sees an Artificial Intelligence system help showcase rag & bone’s Fall/Winter 2019 through a multi sensory and immersive experience, ‘A Last Supper’.

Hosted by CEO Marcus Wainwright, Christine Jones (Designer of Queen of the Night), Nigel Godrich (Producer of the band Radiohead), ‘A Last Supper’ was created to explore the the relationship between Artificial Intelligence and Humans. From the first toast given by the AI, the system will effectively learn and evolve through the actions of the guests as they perform one of the most timeless and age-old ways to bond and make friends: over dinner. A nod to the way in which we might coexist with an Artificial Intelligence, as per The Singularity.

The night will see guests led by a cast of performers through an immersive and sensory environment woven with the unexpected. Set against the majestic backdrop of The Weylin in Brooklyn (a historic former savings bank), the collection with re-affirm the brand’s dedication to providing functional and authentic clothing which is rooted through a unique fusion of military, American workwear, sport and British tailoring.

The dinner will be curated by Chef Ignacio Mattos (Estela) and Tamar Adler with a special performance developed by Choreographer, Damien Jalet (Suspiria). All guests will arrive for the evening wearing the brand’s new collection.

Selected guests will be captured with depth cameras to generate point cloud data, a representation of how the AI sees the world. In real time, this content will be incorporated into live futuristic video-scapes created by audio-visual composer Tarik Barri.

The dinner explores how we will keep our humanity and experience and celebrate fashion in the future as we embrace an exponentially growing machine intelligence. In a version of ‘A Last Supper’ before the singularity, in which machines exceed human ability, the brand presents a beautiful and twisted vision of how.

This latest project solidifies rag & bone’s position as an industry innovator and a multi faceted brand which is anchored by authenticity and quality.

Tips for Having a Threesome: Is it Right for You and Your Relationship

Finding a way to add excitement to a relationship is something that many couples are keen to do. There are various different ways in which people do this, such as making more of an effort when it comes to romance, dressing up, using adult toys, and making up scenarios to fit in with their fantasies.

There is another option you can consider if you want to spice things up in your relationship, and this is to try a threesome. Of course, this is not something that will be right and acceptable for every couple and you may even find that one partner wants to try it and the other doesn’t. This is why you need to ensure you have a frank and thorough discussion before you take any steps toward arranging a threesome, as it has to be something you are both happy with.

What to Do if You Decide to Try a Threesome

If you and your partner have a discussion and decide to try and threesome in order to spice up your relationship, there are various factors you have to keep in mind. One of the key factors you need to consider is whether you want to find a male or a female to join you for the threesome. Again, this is something you have to be very careful with, as you don’t want your partner getting jealous because the person is the same sex as them.

You also need to discuss how far you want to take things when it comes to the threesome. For instance, you may decide to go all the way with the person that joins you and your partner. Alternatively, you may simply want them to join you for some fun and turn to sex toys such as using a dildo. This is something that you may feel more comfortable with if you have never tried a threesome before or it may be something your partner feels more comfortable with.

Once you have decided on these factors, you need to find a willing participant. While you may have someone you already know in mind, many couples prefer to choose someone they do not know to avoid future complications or embarrassment. There are various online dating sites that cater to those who are interested in arranging or taking part in a threesome. This is, therefore, a great place to start your search.

Before you actually book the person, you need to learn more about them and see what they are like by chatting online and looking at photos. In addition, you also need to ensure they are happy to partake in the activities you have in mind for the threesome.

Enjoy a New Experience

For some couples, having the odd threesome or even having them on a regular basis helps to add some real excitement to the relationship. When you try this for yourself, you can look forward to a whole new experience.

Mark Diamond “Road”

Today, Seattle-based singer and songwriter Mark Diamond releases his new single “Road” via Stardog Records/Republic Records.

 Listen to “Road” HERE!

“Road” exclusively premiered on Billboard, who hailed it as “a synth-pop tune that sees the singer’s raspy vocals paired with a mid-tempo beat, inducing listeners to sway to the rhythm.” It arrives hot on the heels of the fan favorite “Steady.” Upon release, the single attracted critical praise with Variance describing it as “such a gem.” Not to mention he has amassed over 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify and counting.

On the song Mark noted: “‘Road’ was one that just needed to come out. The day before it was written, we decided to call it an early night at the studio and left 11pm. I tried to go meet up with friends but was having a hard time switching back to “reality” after spending so much time in the studio. I went into the studio the next day slightly on edge, so I laid on the ground behind the board and wrote this song. Immediately I felt better — like I had just explained to myself that this is my life now. I needed to realize that it was my choice, and it’s absolutely beautiful to live this way. Hope is important to me these days. I think the world could always use more of it.”

At 25 years old, Mark Diamond is a Seattle native who grew up listening to Tom Petty, Hootie & The Blowfish, The Beatles, R.E.M and Robbie Williams with his dad in his 1969 Chevy Malibu. Up until recently, Mark, now based in Los Angeles, was living in Seattle and working at a coffee shop for the last four years. He has been hard at work on his upcoming project with his debut song, “Steady,” leading the way. The song is included in a very large arsenal of finished tracks that he completed in 24 days with talented writer and producer Richard Craker, writing and recording in both London and Los Angeles. With his music, Mark wants to make people feel every emotion possible. “I have never had more fun making music in my entire life. Music should make people feel good more than it makes them feel bad. Not necessarily ‘happy’ songs, but songs that make you feel better about life than when you started listening to it.”

Sachi Releases “Worst Behaviour”

Electronic duo, SACHI hailing from New Zealand, return with new electro pop punch “Worst Behaviour” featuring Sam DeRosa available today via Casablanca Records.  Listen HERE.

Following two certified-gold singles, and collaborations with Mick Jenkins and E^ST, powerhouse production pair SACHI ride into the new year with festival ready, inhibition free single “Worst Behaviour.” The edgy EDM execution of Will Thomas and Nick Chrisp flirts with sugar coated pop on the new single, where the 20 year old Kiwi electronic duo link up with rising NYC pop singer Sam DeRosa to create a nightlife rebellion anthem.

“Worst Behaviour” conveys an unruly relationship where one half is captivated by their partner while the other can’t be tied down, with a craving for the nightlife’s chaotic charm. “ ‘Worst Behaviour’ is about a lopsided relationship where one half is playing games while the other is smitten,” Nick explained. “It came together super quick because it was something we all related to and thought others could too.”

Vagabond Tours Accepts Two Top Awards

Vagabond Small Group Tours of Ireland is no stranger to accepting awards. In early February the company received not one but two 2019 Irish Tourism Industry Awards presented Feb. 2 at the Clayton Hotel in Dublin.

These awards recognize those people and companies that create enhanced experiences to draw people to Ireland. Awards are granted across 15 categories for general initiatives such as accommodation and marketing, and regional specific awards for the Atlantic Way, Hidden Heartlands and Ancient East. Fifteen winners were chosen from among 75 shortlisted nominees. For more on the awards see http://www.irishtourismindustryawards.ie/

Vagabond Small Group Tours of Ireland’s 6 Day Ancient Ireland Tour won in the category Best Ireland’s Ancient East Tourism Experience, under 25,000 visitors. “We introduced this tour in 2018 to help answer the question, “Who are the Irish?” explained Rob Rankin, co-owner with his wife, Amy Rankin. In their imaginations guests burrow into bogs, scale crenellated towers and shimmy up mountains for glimpses of Ireland beginning with Iron Age Celts sifted into Stone Age sands. See: http://vagabondtoursofireland.com/tour/6-day-eastern-ireland-tour/.

Best Environmental Tourism Innovative went to Vagabond Tours of Ireland for environmental initiatives that in some instances have led to significant cost savings for the company while other initiatives are viewed as company investments that “we hope will have a long-term benefit to the environment,” said Rankin. These include:

  • Offsetting the company’s total annual carbon emissions and restoring Ireland’s lost woodlands with a program of replanting indigenous Irish hardwood trees.
  • Offering free compostable cups to guests to use in local coffee shops instead of non-recyclable cups.
  • Giving each guest an aluminum water bottle to use instead of single use plastic bottles, helping to eliminate an estimated 30,000 fewer plastic bottles per year in Ireland.

Vagabond’s staff curate locally owned accommodations, pubs and restaurants that help serve their goal of authenticity. In the end the mission is to have guests “love Ireland as much as we do.” Transport is in custom mini buses, Mercedes ‘Vagatrons’ or 4×4 Sprinters Newtrons that allows access beyond where regular tour buses go.

Riles’s New Single ‘Marijuana’

After skyrocketing to popularity in France where he composed mixed and mastered 1 song per week for a year with his concept Rilèsundayz (+250m views /+220M streams), Rilès is back with a new single “Marijuana”, first track from his debut album and a stunning video featuring Snoop Dogg!

WATCH THE VIDEO HERE!

With “Marijuana”, Rilès is showing us a new side of himself, more soulful and organic. It’s the first joint venture between 3 of the biggest international labels (Republic/Polydor UK/Capitol FR) in many years. Rilès is the artist to follow in 2019. Debut album to be out before the summer.

‘MARIJUANA’ talks about my relationship with cannabis and its counter-productive effects that goes against my habits/mentality. The chorus “Baby, you’ve been on my mind” introduces marijuana in an attractive way, which aims to trick the listener who might think I’m talking about a woman at the very beginning of the song. However, the further you go through the song, the more you’ll notice that I’m talking about the drug and its similarities with woman/sex/lust which are also a drug in a certain way. The video starts with a random work night at my desk when suddenly I’m struck by the need of marijuana. The video depicts the tribulations I go through to try to resist the drug before succumbing to it and ending up laying down in my bed. ‘ –  Rilès
