Ryan Adams’s New Music Video

Today, Ryan Adams shared “Fuck The Rain,” the lead single from Big Colors, which is the first of three albums he will release in 2019.

Download / stream the track, which features a guitar solo by John Mayer, HERE.

Ryan Adams said, “Check out this song it’s cool. Or don’t: We all might die. Trump is President. I love you, sincerely Ryan Adams.”

Adams will embark on a tour of the U.K. and Ireland on March 31 at Dublin’s historic Olympia Theatre. He has partnered with CID Entertainment to offer Fan Experiences that grant access to Ryan’s Pinball Lair pre-show experience and premium seating during the show. The pre-show experience will feature a variety of pinball games, a private bar, and a specially curated Ryan Adams gallery. Ryan Adams Fan Experiences are available with the ticket pre-sale, which launched earlier today. For additional information, visit http://www.cidentertainment.com/events/ryan-adams-tour/. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, January 25, at 9:00 AM. See below for itinerary.

Now available for pre-order HERE.

Big Colors will be released on April 19 via a partnership between Adams PAX-AM label and Blue Note Records. Fans who pre-order Big Colors in digital form will instantly receive “Fuck The Rain.” The album is also available for pre-order in limited edition vinyl and CD formats at Adams store and can be bundled with the exclusive 7” single, “Anybody Evil.”

Adams, who has been hailed as “one of the most elegant singer-songwriters of his generation, by The New York Times, co-produced the album with Beatriz Artola. John Mayer, Bob Mould, Benmont Tench, Don Was and The Section Quartet are featured on Big Colors, which was recorded at Electric Lady, Capitol Studios and Adams’ own PAX-AM.

Big Colors has won praise from those who received early copies of the album. Robert Costa, The Washington Posts National Political Reporter, observed, :It reminds me of early 90s Petty, veering from soaring rockers to wistful songs that you could imagine Adams busking on a street in L.A.” Kristin Davis (Sex and the City) said, “Big Colors is a kaleidoscope of feelings and moods. My favorite song on continuous loop is (expletive) the Rain, love it so much.” Writer-director-actor Judd Apatow observed, “I am excited to binge Ryan Adams. Big Colors is the first album and it is indeed big and colorful, at times super fun and rocking, at other times more emotional and thoughtful but all with a sound that feels both modern and stripped from the jangles of my youth in the 80’s.”

Jillian Jacqueline, who has opened for Adams, pronounced it “full of beautiful and painful truths.” Ted Allen (“Chopped”) said it’s “GREAT, beginning to end. Plaintive & pretty one minute, ferocious and shredding the next and always hooky/jangly. Dreamy poetry, too.” Evan Rachel Wood (“Westworld,”The Ides of March) noted, “Once again @The RyanAdams deals up comforting melancholy, like a rainy day, and curve balls left and right that got my blood pumping.”

Big Colors follows Adams’ 2017 album, Prisoner, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboards Top Rock Albums, Alternative Albums and Americana/Folk Albums charts.

CBD is the Alternative

Multiple sclerosis, known as MS, is an unpredictable and often disabling disease that disrupts the flow of information between the brain and body. According to the National MS Society, more than 2.3 million people are affected by MS worldwide.

Celeste Miranda, CEO and founder of CBD Expo Tour and MACE Media Group, was diagnosed at 40 years old with MS and sought out CBD as a natural healing remedy. Celeste is the woman changing how the world views cannabis products and is on a mission to educate the public on the power of CBD. For Celeste, her experience with CBD and struggle with MS is a personal one. She believes that CBD is not a last result but should be the first solution.

Check out our interview below with Celeste talking about all things MS, CBD and the upcoming 2019 CBD Expo Tour.

1. Please tell us about how you were diagnosed with MS.

About eight years ago, I woke up in the morning and could not feel anything from my waist down. I could move and walk normally but when I would scratch my leg, I couldn’t feel myself doing it. I went into the emergency room and about 16 hours later, I was told that I had MS and had three lesions on my brain and two on my spine.

2. What are some of the difficulties and symptoms that you experienced with MS?

The main symptoms that I experience with MS are muscle spasticity, fatigue and brain fog.

3. What medicines or therapies did you use to treat MS before trying CBD?

I was originally prescribed two medications; one almost gave me a rare brain infection and the other wasn’t strong enough so it caused a bunch of relapses. I was also prescribed a multitude of muscle relaxers to help my muscle spasticity.

4. What brought you to seek out CBD as a cure for your MS?

I hated the feeling of being on muscle relaxers and felt like I couldn’t function while on them. I had a client at the time that was a producer of a CBD gum and he offered to send me some to try out. I would take it at the same time that I would normally have taken a muscle relaxer when I was starting to get spasticity in my legs from the MS. I tried the gum and within 10 minutes, my spacitiy went away, completely.

From there, I started researching CBD and this was as new forms started coming out – gummy bears, oils, and things like that. So I got completely off all the muscle relaxers and to this day, I am only on my monthly infusions of Tysabri and CBD.

It took me a lot of research and time to learn the correct dosage for my body. In the morning, I do a smaller dosage and then in the evening, when I know my spasticity usually gets bad, I’ll take a larger dosage. I’ve got it extremely dialed in and those are the only two things I am currently on; the tysabri and CBD. Hopefully, one day we’ll know that it helps enough in lesion prevention that I can get off the Tysabri but for now I am on both and am thrilled because I am no longer on muscle relaxers.

5. What was your doctors reaction to you taking CBD?

The doctors knew from the beginning how I got off the muscle relaxers but they originally did not say much. About three years ago, my doctor at Stanford called me and told me that they had gotten approved for research on MS and CBD and needed my help to get it off the ground. Within two weeks, we were making a bunch of noise and had money coming in to reach the $150,000 goal. At that point, my doctor called me and told me to stop immediately. When I asked why, she told me that Stanford had just lost one of their biggest financial contributors over this and that she had no choice in the manner. To say the least, for the last three years I have been a patient at Cedars-Sinai. I guess in the end, money talks.

6. Tell us about your background and how your experience with MS & CBD ties into your career in the cannabis industry?

Ironically, it all happened at the same time. I had switched my marketing firm from “mainstream” to cannabis shortly after being diagnosed with MS. They were unrelated, but the timing was close.

7. Tell us why you started CBD Expo?

For me, it is personal and the whole purpose of the CBD Expo Tour is education. There are so many questions surrounding CBD and people are very confused about it. Our main goal is to provide education and also to get exposure to some of the products that we think are the best ones out there.

8. What is CBD Expo?

CBD Expo is not like your normal trade show – we focus on both the medical and education sides of our event. We are not a fly by night company, we are here for the long run. We chose our locations for the 2019 Expo strategically because we want to create a surge of knowledge into these communities. So for example, our next conference that is coming up, CBD Expo Midwest in Indianapolis, was chosen because we saw a large amount of sales coming from Indiana from our first show in the West. We took a poll from our exhibitors and it turned out that 70% of their sales were from Indiana. After finding this out, it only made sense to choose this region as our first destination for our 2019 tour.

9. What are the main highlights for the 2019 CBD Expo Tour?

All of our locations are themed and contain panels and carefully selected presentations to create a well-rounded show and meet the needs of each region.
-CBD Expo Midwest (Indianapolis, IN – March 15-16, 2019) focuses on CBD 101: Basic CBD Knowledge and Industry Trends.
-CBD Expo South (San Antonio, TX – June 28-29, 2019).
-CBD Expo Mountain (Denver, CO – October 11-12, 2019) focuses on compliance, regulation, investments and business.
-Cannabinoid + Natural Products (San Diego, CA – December 5-6) focuses on cannabinoid research and cannabinoid formulations.

We are very excited to for CBD Expo Tour 2019 and would like to encourage anyone who is interested in learning more about CBD from experts in the field or launching their own CBD business to join us. More information on the 2019 CBD Expo Tour can be found at http://cbdexpo.net/.

DEF JAM RECORDINGS LAUNCHES 35TH YEAR OF EXPLOSIVE NEW ARTISTS

The ongoing rollout of new music from Def Jam Recordings’ rookie lineup – including the Bay Area’s Sneakk and Lul G of SOBxRBE, Brooklyn MC Fetty Luciano, Cleveland’s YFL Kelvin, Harlem rappers TJ Porter and Dominic Lord, Georgia’s 17-year old Bernard Jabs, Jacksonville’s 18-year old YK Osiris, Minneapolis’ Nimic Revenue and others – comes to a head with the arrival of UNDISPUTED: a new branded compilation and platform designed to introduce Def Jam’s next generation of stars.

UNDISPUTED is set for release on March 8, 2019.

As Def Jam Recordings rolls into its 35th year as the UNDISPUTED greatest brand in hip-hop history, the legendary label has its sights focused squarely on the future. With a new executive team headed up by CEO Paul Rosenberg and EVP Steven Victor, a new in-house creative content team, and a new-look roster comprised of over a two dozen new signings, Def Jam is once again building a foundation and blazing a trail that wholeheartedly embraces the new: amazing new music, bold new content, strong and creative new leadership.

“During the course of the past year, in collaboration with our talented EVP Steven Victor and our incredible team of executives, we have worked diligently to define the label we strive to become,” said Def Jam Recordings chairman & CEO Paul Rosenberg. “One of the most important aspects of our efforts has centered around building a new roster. Together with these incredible new artists we have developed urgent, cutting-edge, and truly great new music and content. As we proudly enter our 35th anniversary year, I’m excited to launch this project, one that I think defines and encapsulates our new direction.”

“I believe in artistry and the idea that great music will find its audience,” said Steven Victor, Def Jam Recordings EVP & head of A&R. “I’m beyond excited about the roster of new artists we’ve built here at Def Jam. Each one of them is making the kind of music I want to listen to now. We’ve brought them together and asked them to buy into something larger, the Def Jam logo and legacy. It’s remarkable to see how much these artists have embraced it. I couldn’t be more proud of the results.”

An exclusive platform for the next-gen artists who are the lifeblood of Def Jam, UNDISPUTED showcases a spirit of collaboration and unity frequently unseen under the banner of a label. The material was recorded during several week-long collaborative “Rap Camp” sessions produced by Victor, Def Jam VP of A&R Anthony “AE” Edwards, and in-house producer Rico Beats. The comp is led by “Spray” from SOBxRBE affiliate Sneakk featuring fellow Cali MCs and Compton natives Tyga and YG, released early in December, 2018.

The release of UNDISPUTED will be accompanied by the 8- part “Undisputed”documentary film series, created by Def Jam’s new in-house creative content team.  The documentary project was spearheaded by Def Jam’s Executive Vice President of Brand Strategy & Content, Noah Callahan-Bever, who served over a decade as Editor-in-Chief and Chief Content Officer of Complex. The documentary series deftly chronicles “Rap Camp,” featuring the cast of UNDISPUTED artists and Def Jam A&R’s as they introduce us to their stories, collaborate creatively, define their sound, and push each other to new levels.

PETA x Coalition LA

PETA x Coalition LA unites the largest animal rights organization in the world and the premium outerwear brand with 20-years of cruelty-free manufacturing experience! The collaboration is working with retailers to design custom fashion-forward outerwear capsules made from premium vegan materials. The two animal rights advocates launched the collaboration late last year with a limited-edition “Go With The Faux” vegan leather jacket.

Due to the success of this initial collaboration jacket, PETA x Coalition LA will be offering retailers the chance to design and carry a custom fashion-forward outerwear capsule made from premium vegan materials. The collaboration has had the support of WWDMAGIC from the start and will be debuting this custom production service to their buyers first at this coming February show.

“We felt it was important to partner strategically with Coalition LA to bring awareness to all of the WWDMAGIC buyers to know that they too have cruelty-free options when it comes to buying,” said Kelly Helfman, President of WWDMAGIC.

What’s to come:

• Conscious fashion is a focus this show and WWDMAGIC will highlight this important issue to the B2B world at MAGIC

• This year’s show bag will be made from PETA x Coalition LA’s premium vegan leather and will be available to attendees

• PETA x Coalition LA will present a Vegan Fashion Panel on the main floor that will dive into the rise of the conscious consumer and how brands are taking steps toward accommodating the growing cruelty-free fashion market.

• Tuesday, February 5th at 10:30AM – WWD Social House

Conscious Fashion Choices Are Getting Trendy

This panel will dive into the rise of the conscious consumer and how brands are taking steps toward accommodating the growing cruelty-free fashion market.

We’ll be talking with celebrity animal rights activist Daniella Monet, vegan fashion influencer Molly Tuttle, and PETA’s Fashion Campaigns Manager Christina Sewell on the benefits of offering more sustainable options for your shoppers. As a secondary point, all attendees will get the opportunity to look up-close at a vegan materials portfolio swatch books that contain the latest fabric technology such as Pinatex pineapple leather, mushroom leather, and faux fur made with recycled plastic bottles!

“The PETA x Coalition LA collaboration is uniquely positioned to move retailers across the nation towards a more mindful buying behavior, due to the fact that this is PETA’s first campaign with a wholesale manufacturer,” said Darci Wong, Creative Director of Coalition LA.

Cole has released since 2013. The single drops just after a massive 2018 for J. Cole, which saw the release of the KOD album and accompanying tour, and a string of features for artists including 6LACK, Jay Rock, 21 Savage and Moneybagg Yo.

In addition to J. Cole’s forthcoming album, Dreamville is in the process of completing three highly anticipated projects, to be released in the first half of 2019: Revenge of the Dreamers III, a collaborative project featuring Dreamville artists in addition to some of the most exciting artists and producers in hip-hop today, Shea Butter Baby, from fast-rising R&B singer/songwriter Ari Lennox, andMirrorland, from boundary-blurring Atlanta duo EarthGang.

Launched by J. Cole in 2007, Dreamville is now widely regarded as a hotbed of eclectic talent. Along with Ari Lennox and EarthGang, the label’s roster includes Bas, J.I.D, Cozz, Omen, and Lute.

He’s also landed five albums at #1 on the Billboard 200, including 2018’s widely praised KOD. One of the biggest albums of last year, KOD made J. Nurses Congratulate L.A. Teachers

Registered nurses with the California Nurses Association/National Nurses United (CNA/NNU) applaud news that—as the result of a historic strike—30,000 educators represented by United Teachers of Los Angeles (UTLA) have reached an agreement, ratified in voting last night, with the L.A. Unified School District (LAUSD).

“This is a huge victory for the children, families and hardworking teachers of Los Angeles. The courageous teachers and community supporters have proven that when working people stand together, they can move mountains,” said CNA/NNU Executive Director Bonnie Castillo, citing the L.A. strike as the latest example, along with a wave of historic teachers strikes in 2018, of workers rising up in collective opposition to corporate attacks and the defunding and corporate privatization of our public institutions— in this case, our public education system.

“No one has taken advocacy to the streets of America in the past year the way the teachers have done, from West Virginia to Los Angeles. We are so proud of what our UTLA sisters and brothershave accomplished through their solidarity, and their unwavering demand for justice, in the face of corporate greed,” said Castillo.

Nurses say they especially congratulate teachers on winning a reduction in class sizes.

“Teachers cannot do their job when they are overloaded with students. Nurses had to fight hard in California to win our own safe staffing protections—and are still fighting at the national level, so we are very pleased to see this particular win,” said Castillo. “Students deserve to learn in conditions where teachers are able to give them the attention, time, energy and resources to help them flourish.”

RNs also cheer news that the agreement includes the hiring of nurses, to provide a full-time nurse at every school, five days a week.

“Nurses know that when kids are not healthy, they’re not able to learn,” said Castillo. “Students today show up at school with a wide variety of complex and serious health conditions—especially since many of them may not have adequate health care outside of school. It is imperative that a nurse be on site to care for them.”

CNA/NNU registered nurses have voiced support for the teachers throughout the strike, which began January 14. RNs say they shared educators’ concern that with a pro-charter school majority on the LAUSD board, and pro-charter businessman Austin Beutner acting as superintendent, equal opportunity to education was impossible.

“The effort of billionaires to erode the public education system and push public resources to charter schools is a blatant attack on our democracy. Los Angeles teachers said, ‘Enough is enough!’—and took a huge stand for public schools, which serve high numbers of children of color and low-income children. What they have accomplished is a victory for equality in society, and for quality education for all,” said Castillo.

“Social determinants, such as the educational opportunities or level of schooling a person receives, greatly influence the health of our patients. So nurses thank the teachers for their righteous fight, which is a win for a healthier society. We want the teachers to know the nurses will continue standing with them to protect education as a public good—today, tomorrow and always.”

Atlas Genius Releases “Can’t Be Alone Tonight”

Atlas Genius have come out the gates swinging with their brand new single ‘Can’t Be Alone Tonight’! It’s been a long time coming since their last single ’63 Days’ was release back in 2017. And Jeff Regan at AltNation has already given his tick of approval, Premiering their new single on Wednesday, 16th.

Another example of how influential blogs can be in a band’s career, sharp-edged Australian indie rockers Atlas Genius experienced a massive surge in their popularity when their song “Trojans” was featured by the site Neon Gold, resulting in offers from record labels and over 45,000 downloads in the U.S. alone before they even signed a deal.

Hailing from Adelaide, South Australia, Atlas Genius were the brainchild of the Jeffery brothers — vocalist/guitarist Keith, bassist Steven, and drummer Michael — and their English friend, keyboardist Darren Sell. The Jefferys were raised in a musical family; their father came from an engineering background, and he and the boys’ mother were both big Beatles fans and encouraged them to form a band of their own. Starting in 2009, for two years Atlas Genius built their own studio and worked as a cover band to pay the bills.

After completing the studio, they began recording in earnest, with “Trojans” becoming the first song they recorded. After the song was distributed online in May 2011, the blog Neon Gold featured it, and the response from fans and the music industry generated buzz around Atlas Genius. After airplay on MTV’s 120 Minutes and Sirius XM’s Alt Nation channel, the band visited the U.S. in early 2012 to decide on a label. By the time Atlas Genius signed with Warner Bros., the band was a trio consisting of Keith and Michael Jeffery and Sell. The label released the group’s debut EP, Through the Glass, in June of that year.

The band’s debut album, When It Was Now, was also recorded in their own studio and was released in early 2013. It cracked the Top 40 of the Billboard 200 and led to continued, extensive touring and multiple late-night TV appearances in the U.S. The band took a break from performing in 2014 and returned in the summer of 2015 without Sell. Recorded in Adelaide and Studio City, California, their sophomore full-length, Inanimate Objects, arrived in August 2015.

More news from Atlas Genius will be announced very soon!

Having Overcome Many Trials and Tribulations From Losing Her Mother at a Young Age to Being Diagnosed with a Brain Tumor and Raising A Child With Autism – Angela Shares What She Has Learned From Handling Life’s Challenges and Choosing to Move On While Staying Happy and Healthy

Being a housewife is challenging – managing a home, assisting a husband in business, and raising four children (not to mention taking care of yourself), which is the focus of the inspirational new book “Smile! Be Happy! Life Lessons From An Uncommon Housewife” by Author/Mother/Wife and Health Coach Angela LaRosa, out now via Legacy Projects.

In the books introduction, Angela states “I have wanted to write this book for a long time, but never did because I considered myself in the eyes of society to be just an ordinary woman without the fame required to appeal to the masses” continuing “But then I came to realize that this is exactly why I should do this book – because as a suburban mother of four beautiful children, a happy housewife, and someone devoted to prayer and making the world around me a more positive and loving place, I may make a difference”. And that is certainly what she has done.

In chapters from “The Basics” where she touches on topics like finding balance, prayer, faith, and common sense to “Children and Family” discussing raising a child with Autism, “Communicating Through Challenges” which addresses bullying, self expression, and more – “Smile! Be Happy!” certainly hits on topics all can relate to and learn from. Having brought hope and optimism to every aspect of her life, and with her bold and durable commitment to God, she enjoys a life of beautiful fulfillment and is now proud to share what she has learned.

About the Author:

Angela LaRosa was born in Brooklyn, New York, to loving parents who unfortunately divorced when she was quite young. This triggered a litany of tragedies and loss – first, losing the security of an intact family, and then her “Mommy” in a tragic accident, which took her life. Angela moved to Queens with her father and stepmother, along with an amazing younger brother and sister, with occasional visits from her older brother who lived far away.

As she developed into a young lady, Angela gained strength and wisdom from being exposed to many challenging situations, and she always searched for positive outcomes and solutions. For many years, she wore a smile on her face as a mask to protect herself and others from sadness. She believes this was one of her very first blessings in creating a happy life. Today, she feels her heavenly mother’s spirit constantly guiding and protecting her, along with the grace of God.

Angela currently resides on Long Island with her wonderful husband, four beautiful children, and three dogs, surrounded by a close family and amazing friends. She feels blessed and believes that she can overcome any obstacle in her way with a positive attitude, a smile, and the love and protection of God and all her angels.

Angela aims to project positivity into the world each day as she strives to help others live a happy life. She hopes that her story will encourage and inspire others to create a world of prayer, peace, and prosperity, while wearing an infectious smile.
